I am 78 years old and bought this blower last year and absolutely love it. I also own an electric blower and struggled with it and the cord. This is a great product and light enough for me to handle without worrying about dragging a cord with me. It recharges fast.
Hello hope everyone's doing good . In my house we use broom and i have never seen one of these leaf blower irl but still i will watch ur videos I really like the way u explain things and being very specific about everything
Thanks for the review. I recently bought this blower even though I already have a Kobalt 24v battery-powered blower because I'm in the market for a battery-powered edger, and want to convert my battery-operated tools over to ego because of the convenience of being able to use the same battery in every tool. The big-box stores basically offer this 530cfm model and the 650cfm model, and I didn't want to pay over $100 more for the 650. From my experience, the 530 will have plenty of power for most home-owners, and the 650 would be overkill. In comparison to the Kobalt, there isn't much difference in functionality, though the Kobalt is lighter because of the much smaller battery. I have yet to run my ego battery down, but it only takes me about 10 minutes to do my blowing after mowing the grass, and that's all I've used it for at this point. I do like the variable speed control on the Ego so you can have better control in areas where you want a more gentle touch, and being able to access the turbo mode at any speed is very convenient. I did think the blower was initially defective because of the initial delay that occurs when you first press the trigger, and also because of the delay in shutting off when you release the trigger. My Kobalt reacts immediately to a trigger press and release. After a couple of uses with the Ego, you get used to it, and it does not cause any issues, but it's something worth mentioning because I imagine I'm not the only one who came to youtube wondering if that delay was supposed to happen. Overall, I like the blower, and am anxious to start adding Ego products to my collection - if they could just come back into stock.
I'm thinking about replacing my gas blower with this blower. I have three trees in the back yard and two in the front yard. I usually rake the front because of having only two trees. The front yard is easier since the trees aren't far from the curb. Obviously, it's a different story for the back yard trees being a lot further than the two in the front. We don't wait until all of the leaves have fallen. We do it as they fall so there aren't as many leaves at one time.
Really nice informative video. I am in the market for a cordless blower. I am so done with my heavy Echo backpack and my 20 plus year corded blower. I am still struggling with what I should buy. I do have 4 DeWalt 20v batteries. If I get their blower will it be powerful enough? I always come back to the Ego videos though.
I live by a hill and of course we need to clean out the hill every year which i hate. Will this push all the leafes down? Im aware not all in one go but in maybe 3 or 4 trys?
I am 79 years old and bought the EGO 615 Blower Yesterday (20 September 2022) and am returning it today (21 September 2022). The issue? It doesn't work! The battery shows it is fully charged, all green lights are on , on the battery pack. But when the trigger is depressed nothing happens. Its as if the machine does'nt know a fully charged battery is hooked up and working with all green lights on. The previous day I returned a Ryobi 18 volt Blower. Its issue? The extension tube kept falling off within ten seconds of run time from vibrations. The molding to hold the tube on was poorly formed. Too bad manufacturers don't test each of their products before selling them!
Hey Maraksot, I have a standalone mic and a headset. The headset mic and the standalone mic work fine but the problem is that windows 10 can't see the difference between the headset mic or the standalone mic. I hope you can help me out :)
Was ready to click buy until I noticed their battery replacement cost. Wowza. I'll stick with Ryobi, who also has ridiculous battery prices, but for whatever reason, I can always find Chinese knock-offs on Ebay for Ryobi and less than half the price of an OEM (maybe just a bigger name brand?). My drawer is full of these and they always works just as well (If I had other EGO batteries like you, I'd be all in). Great review though!
I just bought the EGO 650. Why? Mainly, because of the price and the battery. The 765 and the 650 have the same battery but, the 765 weighs more and costs more. The 615 only has a 2.5 Ah battery. So, the 650 with a 5.0 Ah battery is the better deal, in my opinion. Actually, I only got this to dry my vehicles after I've washed them. Maybe clean the porch off with it, too. The bottom line is, the 650 is the one to get.
Hey man I just got this one. When I pull the trigger it makes a noise then a second later it blows. Is that normal? My last blower blew as soon as i pulled the trigger

Do you know how often Ego refreshes their lineup? Same good products but newer iteration with upgrades?
Great review! I’ll continue to follow you. Your very thorough and fun… 👍😊😎
