We average 150” in my county in the Michigan UP. It was just a few years ago we got 227” in one year. I mean, I’m sure it’s fine for rare snow but up here… good luck.

Okay... If the snow is deeper than 1-2 inches, I found that it just won't "throw" the snow. With about 1 inch on the ground, my leaf blower was MUCH lighter and did a better job! LOL This might have been a waste of $250 so far. Time will tell.

My main concern with this model is how do you protect the augers. All I see is a plastic scraper bar keeping the augers from hitting the surface, and based on my experience with plastic scraper bars on my Toro's I assume this will be ground away at a fairly rapid rate. I'd much rather see the external adjustable stops used on two stage units, easy to monitor wear and adjust.

The wheel is a great idea. Wondering if it will work on a echo system. I would of set the wheels correctly to show how well it works. My first thought was wheels not set correctly because either power head is to weak or attachment does not live up to the task. Trying not to be negative but if you want to sell a product there can't be no dought.

Question for current owners of a backpack link (who also own the hip pad attachment). Can you please let me know: does the backpack link combined with the hip pad attachment help support the weight of the tool? I am about to purchase an ego line trimmer but I have a bad neck/shoulders. So I'd love to know if the backpack link + hip pad helps to reduce the weight of the tool. Thanks in advance EGO friends. And thanks for this helpful video @jjgroundworks3451

Having compared weights would allow someone to assess the benefit of one over the other based on weight. Since this will have to be worn for sometime weight will be an issue.

As a UP’r, nope. Even stage 2s can struggle at 6-8” of snow depending on the type of snow. Even though stage 2 looks like it can work fine in 18” of snow.
