Wow lots of great points without too many deal breakers. For my lady one thing that we tackled early on was the low self-esteem issue that so many Filipinas have about their looks. She would start with her ice cream cone shaped face, then it was her eyebrows, and then it went onto the nose being short compared to western features, soon it was breasts , or maybe a little belly fat. The one thing I stressed to her was I was and I love her just the way she is. Although I did ask her to stop using any type of whitening deodorant, soaps, or creams, I absolutely love the natural morena look. So for us it’s not so much of a yellow flag, I think it’s just more about building up self-esteem and her knowing she is loved and appreciated for how she truly is.

your PDF is spot on. Every person has their own background and preferences. Not everyone is looking for a everlasting partner. All dating does is determine the compatibility. If you want a partner, make sure you have left your baggage behind for a fresh start. Far too often, people feel they need to act quickly and that is where red flags are overlooked or not recognized. I came to the Philippines in June 2005 to help a friend expand his business. I was a year out of my second marriage and not excited to find someone. I dated in and out of the USA. I love the Philippines for the nature, culture, people and determined in 2006 that this may be a primary place for my future. I flew back and forth over 20 times for business and pleasure and each trip was a month or more. I had established dates sometime before my arrival and sometime just to explore different regions. I had a few relationships with Filipinas within the dating/relationship perspective. For me the biggest red flag is being in a rush. What I learned is just be yourself, be careful like any other dating situations and do not be confused between lust and love.

I don't share your urgency to escalate a relationship. My main goal to to retire in peace with my goals and needs taking priority. As an American man I've lived most of my life for my ex wife and children. I did what was expected of me and managed to save enough to retire early, why would I rush to process of dating because that's what fits the Philipina's agenda?

      Yes. Don’t look for a challenge. That’s a game.
Look for someone who brings out the confidence of being a man.
She wants to trust and follow him. “I feel good with me.” She is secure and she makes you feel good as a man; you want to take care of her forever.

I don’t like the term failed. I’ve been in short relationships and long relationships and I’m currently single. I don’t feel like any of them failed. I was in love with them all, unfortunately Everything has a lifespan. Some things live only a short brief time and some things live a very long time. Live for today and try to be kind, loving and the best you can be 😊
That will attract the best in others. When the best is no longer available and there are too many flags then it’s time to start over and do it again 😊

Hi Rob & Chrissy, new subscribers here.

Many yellow flags were very close to being red flags. A few weren't even close to being red flags, they were closer to green. I for one just don't like being online every day, it drives me crazy. Plus iff I'm baby sitting my grandsons, my grandsons will not allow me to text. They'll be jumping on me or hanging from my arms. My grandsons are half Filipino, by the way.

Consistent debt is a red flag for me personally. There is a definition of wealth that is: how many days can you survive with no additional income and that definition takes into account the part of the budget we all have the most direct control over, our spending. Some people will spend whatever they make and more regardless of how much they have access too. To me, living pay check to paycheck and owing money is poor, causes avoidable anxiety and severely limits one's options in life. An ex wife spent every penny, remarried and defaulted on their house. . . I have no desire to live like that and as I get older, and may at some point be dependent on my partner to make wise decisions, someone that is a big spender is a very scary thought. No other friends is a red flag (for me) too. And I'm saying that as an introvert.

“I probably talk to much about my ex”
    “Yea. A lot” 😂
Little Pea did a chat on the Sigma mentality. They are deep thinkers. You are both, perhaps, quite analytical.
But you see that your purpose can’t be derailed. You may have “if only” moments of deep thought but these can only frustrate the mind, they cannot frustrate your purpose. How can you have the power to derail your destiny from God?
All these flags remind me of what Rabbi Friedman said. If you are happy being a husband or wife then nothing feels like a sacrifice or compromise.
You are there to make them happy. That is exactly what you want. If it feels like a sacrifice you are doing something wrong

RED FLAG: I need $$ for medicine. Have you ever heard that before?
The best way to meet a significant other is through your Philippines friends. Thats how I met my wife of 18 years. I came to the Philippines to visit an old Army buddy and I had NO intentions of seeking a relationship. #1 for a successful relationship ANYWHERE in the world is to THINK with your BRAIN and not your manhood.

Hi 👋! I’m Andrew. I’m one of your subscribers. I also liked this video.
In my opinion lack of trust is a red flag. With the exception of doing something that merits it (cheating, etc.) … there’s absolutely no reason why either party would need to look through the other’s devices.
I agree about money. I haven’t been to The Philippines yet. But my thing is no money until we meet in person.
I also agree about Filipina insecurities. As an aside … I like morena skin.
I definitely agree about the ex and compromise.
Tampo is a red flag for me. But ladies here in the Washington, DC area have attitudes. I’d rather deal with tampo.
I agree with the need to be consistent. Though I have debt too. So … I can’t judge there.
As it relates to my family … I wait to talk about them. But I agree with the part about her relationship with her family. I actually say all of her family.
As a born again Christian … I see all lying is wrong. I’m also a virgin. And I’m saving that to give my future wife on our wedding day (after the wedding).
I get the short term job thing. But I think a few short term things are ok. I also assume that any romantic relationships she’s had involved sex. And I have a firm body count limit for my future wife of five or less.
For me … airfare is a factor. I live in Reston, Virginia. My nearest airport is IAD. $2k to $3k and up round trip to either Cebu or Manila is costly for me. But I do agree that I’d rather meet sooner rather than later.
I’d say being possessive isn’t bad depending on how early in the game it is. After a few weeks or a month … yeah … I’d run like Forest Gump. But after meeting in person … I agree that it depends.
I agree about having space and each other’s own interests.
What if when the topic of meeting in person comes up and she suggests that she visit you?
