It's May 1st 2023 and I turn 36 today! I started a daily practise with Adriene this year in January. I am of the generation recovering from the insanity of 'Heroin Chic' and therefore still battle with a conditioned voice in my brain that says I need to be really extreme and punishing with my body. This year I committed to movement as medicine and these short practises are such important reminders for me to just check in and reconnect with myself. To be kind and gentle to my body and nourish it and replenish it with love. Adriene, your yoga practises have helped me to find that loving nourishment in movement and I am forever grateful to you. I have loved having a daily session with you and look forward to continuing in my new year around the sun! Happy birthday to my fellow Taurus babies out there and thank you to the YWA community for being so inspiring, I love you all! Wishing everyone a beautiful, joyful, expansive year xxxx

I've been sick and dealing with mental health issues these past few days and haven't had the energy to get on the mat and do a proper yoga session. But when I saw this and saw that it was only six minutes long, I decided to roll out my mat and do it anyway. And I feel good afterward. It was just what I needed to feel just a little bit better. Wow! After not rolling out the mat for a few weeks now, I saw the notification that required just 5 minutes of my day. After that first breath, I was in tears. I haven't been myself lately, and it's because I haven't taken time to focus on my physical and mental well-being. 5 minutes seems such a short and easy practice but sometimes your mind can't even stay focused on those 5 minutes. These couple of days I have been really struggling to keep my focus on the daily practices. Feels like I am slowly coming back. Some days are harder than others. But at the end it always feels better. Rejuvenating. Energy flowing everywhere inside you. Trust your self. I know it's hard sometimes. We got this all together. Namaste 🙏
I just spent 4 full days feeling shitty and yesterday I stayed in bed the entire day just watching movies. My entire body felt bad and I was trying to start my day, and thought „5 min of Yoga is maybe something I can handle with my energy level“ and I did it! Good start. :)
I deal with chronic pain in my back and neck from a car accident. So I am learning to be consistent with yoga, it really helps my quality of life. But today I woke up not feeling it and when I finally started this video it really helped me get back into my body and out of my head. I love these videos thank you so much.
This was perfect. I started a desk job 2 months ago and I'm finally settling in to the change but my body is tight from sitting 8 hrs a day. This will fit into my breaks and lunch so perfectly! Thank You❤
Yoga is especially important when you have a desk job. Sitting for eight hours a day is very bad for you so it's very important to balance that with Yoga and other exercise

A few days ago I jumped into a plane to cross the Atlantic after getting a phone call from the ER in France to let me know that my father is in a coma after suffering from a cardiac arrest. I haven’t been able to properly rest, eat, or stretch. This morning I decided that if I’m not feeling okay, I’m no use to anyone, including my dad. I am back in my childhood bedroom, doing Adriene’s class, and this is exactly what I needed to be centred and grounded. Thank you

I had been doing YWA almost everyday since Summer 2020, until I broke my shoulder on 1st March this year. It's been two months without daily practice and recovery has been slow, and I miss Adriene and this community so much. But today I made it to the mat to do this new practice - and it was perfect. I modified the downward dog (it will likely be a long time until I can do that again) and some other stretches but surprised myself how much I could achieve. Finding what feels good within my limitations right now, and forever grateful! 🙏❤
After 15 wonderful adventure filled years i said goodbye to my Australian Cattle dog ‘Billy’ this past weekend. I’m heartbroken. Just like Benji he would be with me always. But for my mental and physical health it was important to get up and open this short practice. Thank you @yogawithadriene I’m not alone 💕

I had a 1 year, 3 months streak of yoga with adriene everyday and then had to stop early last month because of an injury. I’m glad my first yoga practice after the break is an easy one!
Had a super long and active day which was lots of fun but I wanted to go to bed soon as I got in and had not done any yoga yet today this sort practice was ideal for me today ❤

It's amazing how 5 min of yoga practice can change the way I feel in my body completely. I didn't do much yoga since January and especially not on a regular base. I was going true lots of changes, had to make desicions, travelled and just had a lack of motivation and dicipline to start yoga again. But those 5 minutes showed me how much my body misses this. I wanna try doing yoga each day in May with the calender. I think I owe it to myself and my body&mind✨🤍 but this is also a reminder that some days it's just not possible and that's okay to you can still keep going because nothing will happen. You won't be punished for not doing it the only thing is you'll only be regarded if you keep going💜 It's something I have to tell myself very often so it may help someone else who struggles with consistensy🙏

I’ve been struggling with super low energy ever since I got Covid last October. So I struggle sometimes to do even a 20-minute yoga session daily. I’ve been doing your seven-minute wind down yoga so much and I think I can use this one to replace that so I can switch it up a little bit. This was just what I needed to try jumpstart my daily yoga routine, which has lapsed! A short, easy reminder of how good it feels to show up on the mat, even for 5 minutes.
I felt like doing something different this rising because i usually do the deep stretch yoga which is around 40 min long. This practice was quick and very effective, i feel great!😁

This was just what I needed to try jumpstart my daily yoga routine, which has lapsed! A short, easy reminder of how good it feels to show up on the mat, even for 5 minutes.
I felt like doing something different this rising because i usually do the deep stretch yoga which is around 40 min long. This practice was quick and very effective, i feel great!😁
