"U Make Me Feel" by MK2 - Фільми й анімація
This one and Scooby-doo and the Witch's Ghost terrified me
This was terrifying when I watched it when I was 7
@jam c I also liked Cyber Chase and the alien one. I loved Scooby-doo. I still like it.
Why
I remember the spirit photography scene chilling the hell out of me as a kid. But, the scariest part was definitely Shaggy being voiced by Billy West :/
@Who’s Your Doctor I liked the alien too
*TERRROORRR TIME AGAAIINNN* *THEY GOT YOU RUNNING THROUGH THE NIGHT* *OH YOU JUST MIGHT DIE OF FRIGHT, ITS A TERRIFYING TIME* Ahhh the feels. What a movie this was as a kid
Oml that was my shit back then😂😂
When I saw the thumbnail this was the very line of the song that I thought of.
That song is a certified BOP
J C I still put that song on every Halloween it brings back such a good nostalgic feeling
A freaking BOP
"It aggravates me that they eat all the time..." "They love eating food all the time..." "...Has to be a tape worm"
`*Stoners sweats vigorously*`
They’re both major stoners lmao
I think it’s all but confirmed in the live action movies haha
@@yeetosis9097 Actually the original voice actor as well as the character designers have said that they don't believe shaggy is at all a stoner.
@@yeetosis9097 Also hail our glorious lord and saviour Jim Pickens
It’s totally not a tape worm as they’ve gotten fat multiple times
You're crazy Chelsea. They're definitely in their 20s in this. Velma owns a bookstore and Daphne is a talk show host.
Yeah, they are teens in the original series but in this one is obvious that is set some years affter that so they should be in their early to mid 20s
I think they are more 25/30 on those movies
In the original series, Fred and Shaggy are 17, Daphne is 16 and Velma is the youngest at 15. They are older in later series though I believe in most later series they're all 18+ so that would make Fred and Shaggy 20, Daphne 19 and Velma 18.
I see Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, I click instantly
Jason Bennett Same
Same. But they don't seem to understand how, compared to the previous cartoons, this film was actually really terrifying. The art and animation was ramped up a ton for more realistic and scary imagery. The beginning where the monster was able to scratch Freddy actually made us realize there is real danger present this time. The story was great. It just doesn't seem like they understood the context which was kind of disappointing. But they said they aren't fans of Scooby Doo. I'm curious on how they felt about Courage the Cowardly Dog. That show is what I believe first got me interested in horror and scary stuff.
Yeah, samesies.^^
My opinion most people saying this is good are people that watch it as a kid
@@benjaminbonser2505 Uh, no. I watched this for the first time a few months ago and it it's fantastic lmfao
Does anyone remember the alien one where the nice hippie girl and her dog turned out to be aliens? Or the witch one with the author dude who turned out to be some sort of "warlock" evil author dude? Scooby Doo with the plot twists.
Scooby-Doo and The Alien Invaders
Scooby-Doo and The Witch's Ghost (I love Tim Curry in this!)
Yes. It was zombie island then witches ghost then alien invaders and the cyber chase
Omg I love all of these
there was also one with vampire actors and shit
Yeah i remember the alien one
If you love Fred's upper body strength in this, you'll love that Fred declaring that he can bench 220 is a recurring gag in a ton of the direct-to-video movies.
Makes sense to me. Fred is like the OG Poster boy for Himbos.
It's so interesting to hear adults commenting on Scooby-Doo with a honestly adult perspective
There is no adult perspective
love how she has a cat and scooby well hates "rats" as we know he shows it in this movie..also was that a thing before this movie?..i don't think it was....has it been after?..kinda random....
More like annoying 🙄 like ugh
Chelsea:their like 17.
James: well shaggy needs to chill out with the drugs then.
That reaction was priceless
Literally got to this comment at that exact moment lmao
Considering that in this movie they all are holding jobs, i think in this one they must be Young Adults...
They're adults in these movies and in what new Scooby-Doo
Honestly this and the cyber chase are like the best movies ever
And the witches ghost
And the one where Shaggy falls in love with the alien!
Zombie Island, Alien Invasion, Witch’s Ghost, and Cyber Chase were the best scooby doo movies, in my opinion. They tried to do something different with the material since it was so repetitive and boring. The movies weren’t well received at the time but they have become such cult classics.
If you guys want a good in depth video about these movies, Ryan Hollinger on UA-cam made an excellent video about it!! Highly recommend it!!
Run! Spindly Johnny!
Cyber Chase was my favorite
Hands down the best Scooby-Doo movie . Actually had high stakes
Cyber Chase is personally my favorite, its the only film in the franchise where the monster actually talks and has a real personality that always reminded me of the Joker, the Phantom Virus was such a good villian
@@marvelanddcretrospective but even at age 5 it was obvious who did it! Still good
@@Gel677 oh yeah but thats only because there were only two characters it could have actually been and obviously it was the guy who voiced both the Phantom Virus and the Assistant :')
Give Mystery Incorperated a look. That has stakes and more.
@@trevingrayek791 Mystery Incorporated is great but i personally think the first season is better than the second season, i liked it more because it had a larger focus on them solving monster mysteries while a much larger plot was slowly revealed episode by episode while in season 2 i felt it focused too much on the larger plot and not enough on the monster mysteries so it didn't feel like Scooby Doo as much, also wasn't a fan of the Shaggy + Velma pairing or Velmas character arc but other than that the rest is solid
In the 1987 made-for-TV movie, "Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers", Shaggy has an uncle Colonel Beauregard (Confederate) who dies and leaves him his country estate, which is on a plantation.
I loved that one
I believe it’s also referenced in the original show too in the episode I believe shaggy is left a fortune after his great uncle who fought for the confederate did
I love that one so much 🥺
That one is bland
@@Skooter-ko1yj no in that episode it's actually Scooby who's going to inherit the will because he apparently saved the Colonel Sanders character from drowning years ago.
Dead Meat do a Scooby-Doo kill count or unmasked count for laughs on April Fools Day
Oh, that would be funny.
or do urban menace
That would be great!
YES!
Sorry, I don’t think he is going to do those.
The live-action was (unintentionally) very terrifying to me… early 2000s CGI? Aahhh!! 😱
You and me both lol
I remember that XD. Just terrible.
@@romeostruedude Very true, although I'm glad there were Scooby movies. That great dane was my childhood! :P
Let's remember we're here to have fun and be good people, not shit over the opinions of others…
Everyone here loves horror, so we're all united! (:
I LOVE how legitimately upset James is over Scooby eating the sandwich that Shaggy paid for!
I'm right there with him, it hurts every time I see it.
These Scooby Doo movies probably had a big effect on my love of horror. I didn’t ever watch Goosebumps as a kid so this was the only window into the horror world I had
Then there's me who watched not only Scooby Doo, but "The Lost Boys" and "Thir13en Ghosts" at, like, age 10...
i remember loving the song terror time.
Same! This but also Goosebumps, Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, Martin Mystery, Detective Conan, all Tim Burton movies, etc
well you missed out goosebumps was a very good show in the 90s
@@DraconicDuelist lmao i watched 13 ghosts at y yearsold and it didnt phase me
"Scooby's got the tapeworm from like... eating dog ass or whatever"
That line killed me 😂
"All Scooby and Shaggy do is eat" - yeah, they have the munchies. They are pot heads. This was rather obvious in the original cartoons, but as they went on, they removed the pot head jokes.
They have more munchies than zombies.
The live action movies had a few. They were originaly supossed to be rated R. Then after everyone signed on the studio said rate it PG.
Cyriss Smith “Mary Jane? Like that’s my favourite name”
I thought they just had a really fast metabolism XD
As a kid I knew they were potheads
To anyone commenting, in the original show the creators said that Fred and Shaggy are each 17 years old, Daphne is 16, and Velma is 15, but since this movie is set some years after the gang split up they are probably in their early to mid 20s.
James and Chelsea should totally cosplay Shaggy and Velma.
Hanon Ondricek More like Johnny Bravo and Velma.
Phh. Fred and Daphne.
do scooby and shaggy have a tapeworm or do they just smoke a lot of weed lmao
Maybe if James does a kill count on this, she can make a guest appearance, and they will do that. Lol
Loved this movie. The Scooby Foo animated movies were my childhood. This one, Alien Invasion, and Cyberchase were my favorites. Total nostalgia
Cyberchase especially is a more nostalgic one for me while Zombie Island is just a straightup favorite of the movies. Cyberchase brings back so many old faces of ghosts from the og cartoon and it just warms your heart to know they remembered them and eventually reused them for a movie. And they were still terrifying!
@@smuggreenn Facts. Scooby Doo in general is a major point of nostalgia for me. All the OG cartoons, the animated movies, What's new Scooby Doo, the live action movies. There was a new show that came out that I never watched but should probably check out.
Bruh scooby foo
We can’t forget the 2010 Scooby-Doo remake show. It was absolute fire.
Tarrick Ballentine It outperformed the other shows
crystal cove? no. It tried to make Scooby a drama. That's not what it is. The mysteries were emptier, it treated the CG movies as more canon than the other non-original series, and completely forgot what the essence of a Scooby-Doo cartoon was. That said, the callback episode to all the other Hanna-Barbara shows was nice. But haven't been able to watch any newer Scooby stuff since then, although I still go back over the older stuff,@@parodystudiosfilms
@@noahfuller4128 i feel what they wanted to do with Mystery Incorporated is create a version that adult fans could watch without it being cringey. I understand your complaints about it, but it is definitely top 3 on my list.
Tarrick Ballentine agreed. Though I hated Velma.
It was cool how it used the old shows for call back (and not the live actions) and it is episodic. Which is great. I think it was a little rushed. I liked the character dynamic. And yea they were weird but that’s ok. And if you don’t like this cause it’s not old scooby stfu and just watch old scooby. Or make you own scooby. Besides Out side of the direct to video movies it’s my number 3 behind, Scooby-Doo, where are you? And what’s new scooby doo. And before 13 ghosts.
There is an AMAZING episode of Scooby Doo, where they unmask the monster and Velma's like, who the hell are you? The guy explains and the Scooby Gang are like, but how were we supposed to work that out when we've never met you? It's so good
What's new scooby doo centaur episode
I remember that! Dude Velma was *PISSED.* 🤣
Foul, that one does not count! Don't forget.
Let’s be real for its time the 69-71 original series was a masterpiece
i thought this was a scooby doo kill count
👁️👄👁️
S a m e though
Today we count all of Shaggys kills
I mean, these were real animate corpses they were dealing with. And the villains did die at the end.
SHADOWripper 02 Homestly though this could get a kill count eventually. All the settlers get eaten by gators, the pirates get their souls sucked out, and the werecats turn to dust.
I personally love The Witch's Ghost more, because Tim Curry FTW.
Also, a friend blew my mind by noting that in Original Scooby-Doo, it's always the 2nd person they meet.
...OMG YOU’RE RIGHT. 😳
I feel like they started doing that on psych for a while but I never actually kept track of it
It also introduced the Hex Girls
@@ericjohnson6120 They do, in fact, place a spell on us.
I LOVED Witch’s Ghost also for Tim Curry, the Hex Girls, & its one of the first few movies to have real supernatural beings in it alongside Zombie Island, Alien Invaders, and Cyber Chase. They did some in Goblin King, but it wasn’t as good or enjoyable in my opinion.
12:46
“And if that was my last name...
*Look intensifies*
...you’re gonna be calling me Bee Man”
Absolutely, Batman: The Animated Series has held up, it’s one of the best representations of Batman, ever. It’s a classic. It’ll never fade.
I haven’t seen this film in over a decade, it’s cool to see you two review it.
Loved this as a kid! Used to watch it anytime it was on
Frank Welker is a legend. He is also the only voice of Fred in any animated licensed Scooby - Doo. They are replacing him in the upcoming Hannah Barbara movie but he'll still do Scooby, (He wasn't the original Scooby) He was in Transformers too
"Hanna-Barbera" does have an extra "H"
I don't know how I feel about that tbh
As usual, completely respect your guys’ opinions, but God, this movie is amazing! It definitely could be because I probably watched it for the first time when I was 3, but this is so good! Even the old formulaic Scooby-Doo deserves credit for doing what it did, even with the not so great animation. Also Shaggy and Scooby have had the munchies since 1969. so I feel that you won’t appreciate that part unless you’re a huge fan 😂
Speaking of repeated jokes, Billiam pointed out in his video that the original Scooby-Doo Where are You is not nearly as repetitive as everyone remembers it being, so if for anyone reading wants to revisit SDWAY, I’d definitely recommend doing so, because even when it is formulaic, sometimes you like the comfort of knowing
I also enjoyed the 2012 series. The one episode that comes to mind is the semi truck ghost on the snowy mountain.
The Harvest Moon is just the full moon in September.
What
The Farmer's Almanac, based on American folklore and Indigenous customs, names the full moon for each month to express their apperance in the year. Excluding variant names, there's The Wolf Moon, Snow Moon, Worm Moon, Egg Moon, Flower Moon, Strawberry Moon, Elk Moon, Corn Moon, Harvest Moon, Hunter's Moon, Beaver Moon and Long Night's Moon.
Contrary to popular belief, Blue Moons do exist. And it's literally just a term to denote the second full moon appearing in the same month. This phenomenon happens every 2-3 years. If the phenomenon happens again in the same year, that moon is called a Black Moon. It happens every 7-10 years and is considered very unlucky.
do scooby and shaggy have a tapeworm or do they just smoke a lot of weed lmao
It's cannon they run so often and have high metabolism. Also- Velma creating a belt for Shaggy.
Yes
there's a theory shaggy is a pothead.
daddy depression I know it’s hilarious
@@kissingshadow yeah you said it dude i never imagined my boy shaggy would smoke that shit tho.
Daphne is a journalist in the DC comic Scooby Apocalypse with Fred as her camera man.
"Everyone back then was racist"
*Nervous chuckle*
*Sigh*
Awkward much
Also knowing that THE Tara Strong is in this makes the movie even better. I had noooo idea, and now I love her character more. WHO ELSE LOVES BUBBLES?
Raven is my favorite.
*SHAGGY CAN DEAL WITH ANYTHING WHEN HE'S ABOUT 1% OF HIS POWER!*
James have you heard of Saturday Morning Mystery/Massacre it’s literally a horror parody of Scooby doo?
I've never seen that
JuanTGaming I’m interested countinue
JuanTGaming he totally should kill count that. I watched it on syfy because it was apart of a marathon and I didn’t even realize that it was a parody until like 15 mins in
if we are being honest in some ways x files is just scooby doo for mature audiences..think about it....same shit...aka how people are the real monsters and how if it seems supernatural it most likely isn't but dont be gullible and question all un scientific supernatural belief....except for the rare times it is in which case always have an open mind to that possibility at the same time you show caution and are curious ..
James’ face when he says Shaggy needs to chill out with the drugs😂😂😂
This is my favorite Scooby-Doo movie. I'd even dare to say it's the best one. (Haven't watched the Magical Girl KISS movie yet.)
I think "good guy Confederate zombies" is just a simplification of the situation (It's a kids movie, after all. Plus, taking place in the Deep South with the backstory going that far back, it's only logical that they are some of the victims). It's Confederate soldiers and mass-murdering pirates (plus innocent tourists); the pirates and soldiers were evil people (or at the least not nice guys) in life and overall are merely the lesser of two evils. Centuries of being trapped on the island as zombies was probably torture enough to make them disregard whatever things were like in life and they just don't want anyone else to suffer their fate.
Or perhaps part of the motivation is to prevent the cat monsters from draining more victims, thus killing them. Then, afterward, they're willing to face whatever the afterlife has in store for them because anything is better than being stuck on the island. We don't know what things are like for the sacrificed spirits. Maybe they spend eternity being tortured by the Cat Gods like a cat plays with prey.
Lol I loved this movie when I was younger.
Edit-Also this was the movie where I said, "Well hey, scary can be pretty cool."
My favorite Scooby-Doo movie. Was obsessed with it as a kid.
Also, Shaggy and Scooby eat the way they do because they're stoners. They have a constant case of the munchies.
Why is it weird/uncomfortable that a movie based in the south talks about the plantation the characters are on was run by Confederates? Were y'all uncomfortable during Captain America: The First Avenger talked about Nazi's? The Civil War happened, it's a part of history.
Calm down sir
@@TarantulaJonez He seems pretty calm tbh.
I was wondering the same thing. Like, even if the Confederates fought for slavery, having some cat-God-werewolves killing people and taking their souls would _probably_ warrant those said soldiers to fight along whoever in order to stop that threat. I mean, they really think that Union soldiers would be the ones running the plantation in the past?
It's uncomfortable because the confederates were the "good guys" in the movie, but they're not in real life.
@@jalapeno1119 I mean good and bad is technically subjective although I agree with you.
This movie scared the crap out of me as a kid but I also loved it! Thanks for covering it!
Recently they’ve started pairing Velma up with Shaggy (the smart girl with a dumb guy trope) to give her someone. I’m not that keen on it from what I’ve seen but I’ve heard it’s interesting how it affects Scooby.
Well that's kinda creepy given the original production had characters that would eventually become Shaggy & Velma as brother & sister.
They should have kept Hotdog water for Velma.
Ah I love getting a dead meat notifications
This was one of my favs growing up! Thanks for talking about it!
I still randomly saw this video yesterday and I think this is the 2nd Hanna-Barbera Horror themed video he has covered.

When the first scooby soo movie came out with the aliens, one of my earliest saddest moments was thinking shaggy and that hippie girl were gonna be together, same thing with our boi scoob mating with the hippie dog. I thought they were gonna ride off into a sunset together but then she says a real heart goodbye to shaggy and gives him a kiss goodbye 😭 den she fly away 🛸
They even had a future together having babies thinking montage! 😭😭
I love how original and simple the story is Simone & Lena were two of a group of settlers on a island they made their home and they worship a cat god and crooked pirates came on the island to bury treasure and made the settlers get eaten by alligators feeling vengeful the two survivors of the massacre Simone & Lena prayed to their cat god and put a curse on the pirates and was turned into werecats and kill all the pirates but find out their cat god cursed them as well and need to drain souls from people to live which turns the victims into zombies.
See how original the story is even for a kids horror movie this is arguably the only zombie film to have a heavy story especially since the zombies are actually voodoo zombies.
When I heard you mention this I didn't even realize this was my favorite Scooby Doo movie as a kid too. Thanks for playing the "Terror Time" song, gonna have to deal with that stuck in my head during tomorrow's exam lmao
