I was talking with a friend that maybe Luxu took over Brain’s body, but took his heart out and put it in the ark. We see Sigurd with Brain’s hat, so maybe just like No Name and Maleficent’s robe, the hat served as a waypoint (plus Ephemer’s memories imparted thru his pupils about Brain coming at a specific time in the future), and that way he got a reconstructed body, like Maleficent did, and Luxu stays with Brain’s original body.
I really like that theory a lot!

My theory is that Brain never took the ark as both Emphemer and Skuld took the last remaining two and it was never stated if it was possible to share these pods. My theory is that Luxu split Brain into a Heartless and Nobody, which Luxu would take the Nobody as a vessel until it outlive it use. The reason why Brain showed centuries if not more in SAC was because his Heartless wasn't track down until that time period. He would be restore back to his youth due similar to Terra who hasn't aged due being possessed by someone until Lea Isa, and Ienzo who have aged as Nobodies. So in a sense Luxu did passed down his Keyblade to a Union Leader and ensure that five of them travel to another worldline with or without the ark.
Brain does seem like Brain when he gets excited to see Ephemer’s statue. That’s the point where I thought it can’t be Luxu. Only thing that would go with that would be that Luxu took his body since he couldn’t travel with it anyway to the future. He just removed his heart with the no name keyblade and sent it straight to Brain just how Terra was taken.
Or is this similar to how Riku was taken my Ansem? Still there but heavily influenced? So many roads.
Also, zooming in on the clothes of Sigurd, you can see what looks like a white X ok his broach. You see the same symbol in twilight town when you go into underground and find the lab. The seal on it had the heartless, nobody, and the X symbol. This was of course in KH2, in the unicorn house in the woods.
This is what I think happened..... after luxu took brains body he placed brains heart in the ark and left the hat in the rubble. As ephemere was building Scala he found the hat and opened the book of prophecies to find when brain would show up and held the hat so it would be his medium when his heart arrived in scala and his body was able to reform itself just as maleifcent was able to with her coat
It's also very nice to think that nomura in this chapter says clearly that "Quadratum" is a world of fiction like what we hope is waiting for us in the afterlife. In this way he is saying that his beloved game that hadn't its birth (since he likes talking about his games and characters almost as his children) is still alive in this afterlife wolrd.
And if the MoM is the first one to actually go there, this is a new link between him and nomura.
On another channel that I follow they said the reason why brain exists in two places is because of the effects of the lifeboats. Luxu explained to brain how the lifeboat works by having a medium and someone who holds the memories of that person in the future. Luxu takes brain's body and the other brain in Scala ad caelum exists because the hat was the medium and ephemer holds the memories and the book of prophecies. So maybe being the clever guy that brain is, he must've simply threw his hat into the pod just after luxu informed him about the effects of the lifeboats. I too always had a feeling there was some connection between luxu and brain, you can see in the artwork of the character designs that brain looks a lot like braig/xigbar/luxu. I still wonder if fragments of the ruins of daybreak town somehow scattered off to create worlds such as radiant garden/hollow bastion and land of departure. Those worlds look very similar to daybreak town, the center of radiant garden where ansem the wise finds terranort looks just like the fountain of daybreak town where ephemer talks to ava. The first time we see braig is at radiant garden and he knows quite a bit about the data and computer systems which possibly gives us more clues about any connections

Brain being Luxu is easily the most interesting part of this whole finale
Personally it is possible Luxu took over Brain's body as his first vessel and went around preparing for Brain's reappaerence as he removed his heart from his body, so the way Brain reforms in Scala could be compared to the way Maleficent does, with his hat being the robes.
What I'm thinking is that luxu stole brain's body but put his heart inside the arc and sent it forward into the future where ephemer had a vessel waiting for him which is why they have his hat to remember him with.
The way that Brain said he'd be putting his own future on the line makes me think that Luxu gave Brain No Name and taught him how to unlock his Heart, with Brain's hat remaining in the past to act as a Medium in the future, Sigurd would be the Waypoint as set up by Ephemer.
In the secret reports of KHIII Luxu said he'd passed on No Name in the chaos that was the destruction of Daybreak Town and that he'd go forward without it, not that he body-hopped. Plus, Skuld was said on 2 occasions to look/act like Ava, which was probably intentional for this exact reason as it was never explained otherwise.
Not that all the Foretellers resemble the Union Leaders, as Ephemer and Lauriam are definitely different from Ira and Aced (even if Ira/Ephemer are both leader and Aced/Lauriam both give in to their anger, then I guess it'd be Invi-Strelitzia and Gula-Ventus but that's more of a secondary theory for me)
What we saw in the Keyblade Graveyard anyway was very similar to Luxu's scene from KHX:BC where so I wouldn't be surprised if it was in fact a flashback to reveal Luxu's face - what's interesting is that Luxu's original face was coded into KHX:BC but was not used, and however if I recall correctly Brain was revealed in KHUX around the same time, but don't quote me on that.
I just thought it was weird that if Luxu did take Brain's body, he should be much shorter. Brain is shorter than Luxu, but Luxu-Brain is Luxu's height. They could've just pasted Brain's head on Luxu's model though.
The heart has to leave the body in order to time travel, so I was kinda thinking the opposite. That Luxu is possessing Brain's nobody.
I think it's impossible for that to be Brain's Nobody. Remember, a Nobody is what remains of the body after a strong heart falls to darkness and becomes a Heartless.
In this case, Luxu is possessing Brain's body, similar to what Ansem Seaker of Darkness did to Riku, or Xehanort did to Terra. In both of those cases, Nobodies aren't created, nor Heartless, because the Heart still remains in the body of the possessed (on the Guardian, in Terra's case).
In this case, Brain doesn't appear to have fallen to darkness. Rather, he has been possessed. Thus, it's far more likely that Brain's Heart has been ejected and sent to Scala.
Im just realizing this:
The Brain we have known could be the original replica. Luxus original semblance. Bear with me..
Luxu's name is obviously a place holder because it bears the sigil within the name. Braig, now clearly derives his name from Brain, OR vice versa...
Much like the Riku replica, we may have been witnessing an incredibly intelligent replica, guided by Luxus hand that attained the point of self sacrifice by knowledge he was abnormal and having made string connections to those he cared for. Wanting to become the virus, being the last one in Daybreak Town. Luxu even seems to admire Brain (a creation of his mind ironically) as he realizes he fully formulated the only plan possible to save the ones he grew to care for. In this way, the post credit scenes show us 2 'Brains', one in a different Scala and one in the Badlands, and are given ' An Oath To Return' just like in ReMind. Possibly signaling Brain having a connection to Yozora, someone who no longer bears a true resemblance to what they are.

I'm currently inclined to say Luxu was a carry on. The motto being said isn't unusual, but him looking at the keyblade is to me. I think Luxu hitched a ride like Ventus did with Sora. The problem is a matter of a time line. Luxu just needed a new host to transfer to and Brain could have helped with that. After Brain transfers away Luxu, he wakes up in an unfamiliar location so he is confused and for a moment he thinks about his friends who should arrived as well.
Starlizaia. I think made reach a future point after the break of daybreak town and will meet luxu on reconstruction. And from there luxu would pass on his key blade to her so his entry in KH3 secret reports stays true.
Technically luxu did give Brain the no name keyblade

i think Luxu took Brain's body similarly to how Xehanort took Terra's and then he cast Brain's heart into the lifeboat a century ahead of him so that he would have time to pass on the master's keyblade before Brain arrived and re-completed himself. i also wouldn't be surprised if Luxu gave Brain's hat to Ephmer stating that it belonged to a friend of his an they'll need it later on.
i think Ephmer was the one Luxu chose to inherit the master's keyblade, and Eraques is Brain's descendant hence why he inherited his keyblade and why they look so similar to eachother lol

Yes, that really was shocking. "How can Brain be in two places?" "Did Luxu take Brain's body?" "He must've right?". I have a feeling that Brain's hat being in that end cutscene is of importance of how Brain was able to get there. I think that hat part is that really, but as for if that's Brain fully or his nobody, I'd assume somehow it's still Brain fully, but I agree that they could choose to go down a route where it is his nobody. I was wondering because I just get the feeling, with the ending cutscene, the dialogue between Luxu and Brain sounds like Luxu wanted to help Brain with good intentions, so that somehow makes me think when Luxu stole all those bodies, it isn't as bad as it sounds, for some unknown plot point that will be revealed later. Since that scene where Luxu revealed he's been bodying swapping to the foretellers at the end of KH3 makes us think “oh, that's bad, but ok” and then they can twist that too “oh, that wasn't as bad as it looked and sounded to us back then”. I'd like it if there is an unexplained plot point and Luxu has not done something really bad to anyone, including Brain, after all, but yes is still body swapping. ProdigyxCD had this theory and helped me think about it further, but I was wondering if Luxu didn't do something as bad as it sounds as the dialogue between Brain and Luxu in the ending of KHUx seems like there is a good plan for both of them, in a good way. Granted Luxu could just be pretending to be nice while scheming to trap Brain and steal his body and the scene cut off this part like that, but I don't think so. I think that's what we are meant to think and believe, I.e. It's some really really bad act Luxu done to Brain, when it's not the case.
To sum up the theory, yes Luxu has swapped between a lot of bodies but somehow they get there bodies back, or Luxu had a plan to make it right and the first body is Brain and it's a discussion between Luxu and Brain and some plot point that gives Luxu the idea to keep using bodies more deeply (he already planned it, but this is the first action towards the idea) while it's actually an ok willing thing on the other person part and not as bad as it sounds as they get there bodies back, and Brain happens to get his in that time era, and so Luxu did help him to escape while somehow taking the form of Brain too (probably his body but some unknown plot point allows Brain to get it back his body back in that time era, or else to have his body still as Brain, while Luxu becomes Brain. Not sure how it would fully work out, but it's possible with Kingdom Hearts.
I also like the going theory that the hat is the medium for brain, so Luxu would have made sure they each got a body. I just don’t understand why Luxu took a vessel at all so early in his life
@@pajamaletsplay9859 Yes, as they made the hat look very significant and that would fit really well. Yes, it would be great if Luxu and Brain had a really good compromise for both of them with that situation, where they both have bodies and everything still. (I'm not saying this theory is likely, just it would be nice and I can see it being a small or major plot twist, so I like it). And that IS a very good point that I didn't even noticed yet, since Luxu didn't need a body yet, it could back up any theory with the idea that the motive between Luxu and Brain actions, was different from Luxu just wanting/needing a body.
I am not really sure what I think yet about the two Brains thing. Seeing as the Secret Reports made a theory about their being two Brains a long time ago which I do like it could be that Luxu has always looked like that. I sort of doubt it but it is possible.
It is far more likely that Luxu used Brain as a vessel. Which If he did I do have a theory as to why he did so. I think that Luxu might get the memories of people that he uses as vessels. Seeing as Luxu is already planing to live for a very long time and be there to recomplete everyone else, having to recomplete everyone else wouldn't be to hard for him. Having the memories of all his vessels will also help add to how old Luxu feels and help explain why he really doesn't act like himself anymore. Though a lot of time also does this.
I am pretty sure that Brain isn't a Nobody. A Nobody is made up of a person's body and will, and being used as vessel means taking over someones heart has taken over your body. So Brain can't be both a Nobody and a vessel at the same time. I am not saying that Brain can never be a Nobody only that that doesn't explain the two Brains thing.
Though I am a bit unwilling to guess how Brain got to Scala seemingly without any memories of whatever Luxu did, I do have a guess to the timeline. I think that Brain gets to Scala just in time to become Eraqus' grandfather. So at lest twenty years before Xehanort is taken to the Islands.
This will give Brain time to try to complete his goal of fixing the Dandelions, falling in love, having a child who grows up, cause the four Darknesses to escape trap Player made for them, which causes most of Scala to be abandoned. This first tragedy of Scala is also likely what made Xehanort's mother give him up, so that he will be safe...maybe.
All and all I think that a lot of our questions about what happens to Brain is going to be in the backstory of DR. Which I think is going to be completed sometime this year? They might have been forced to delay it because it took so much longer to end UX then they thought it would.
I dont think its a nobody. what i think it that brain gets put back together in scala after luxu stops using his vessel and goes to the next. And its very possible luxu helped by planning for brains hat to be in scala as a medium. Ephemer also planned for brains return by the knowledge of the book of prophecies.
I agree with what was said in the video except for the nobody thing, (not 100% all of it but a very tiny piece of it) Brain is a unique Keyblade wielder, for him to be recompleted, he had his body taken away, like what Xehanort did to Terra. That Brain in scala, is the real one considering how confused he is, so a replica may be possible, which would mean Luxu is using one considering we never saw his face and he had a conversation with Brain, which is saying something. But then, didn't these experiments start with Vexen in CoM? That would nullify the theory of brain being able to exist into a replica in Scala, right? if so, how in the world did replicas exist before CoM? Genuinely asking. Like some others have said, I too believe that Brain is the very first vessel, bigger question, who else did he take over, or how many, considering he went plenty of "semblances".
Also I know I probably keep talking back and forth about Sora, the MoM, (My brain is going haywire, basically.) among all things, but that would also probably explain how there were 2 endings in ReMind, (also, how Sora wakes up in the secret ending is kind of similar to Brain waking up in Scala.) and it's like one is Brain, and the other one just happens to look like brain, but isn't Brain. (Jeez, I did a typo and said one just happens to look like Luxu, what the? 😂. Also I just realized the data world exists, but okay, my question about replicas still stands.)
Update: After I saw one of KHinsider's video (Somebody mentioned me in a video) and went to watch this specific part with Brain, then another video on this channel (The 13 darknesses) made me realize: Since the real Brain landed in a section of Scala Ad Caelum, Luxu being in the KG and the fact that there was a darkness with him during that "the true dandelion" conversation, then there's the secondary motto between UX and KH3's secret ending/secret episode "An Oath to Return" it could clearly be talking about the MoM but seeing that title again, if not the MoM, who is the one that's supposed to return? At the moment, we know that the Yozora we see currently is not the real one (as told by the nameless star). I feel like what happened to Brain is mirroring Yozora in a way.
🗣Pajamaaaaaa(hi Ms Michelle). These time travel shenanigans are killing me. How does it even work anyway; some people losing their memories while others don’t. What does luxu mean by incomplete lifeboats? If ephemer can just hop out the pod and rebuild the world, why be afraid of the big darkness ball when all you need to do is hide in a bunker?? Basically a tornado drill.

Since luxu is the only one traveling linearly through time, when we are first introduced to back cover, isn’t it the “2nd” run as the BoP couldnt have been written unless luxu completed his journey to the present? Did he really need to borrow brains body? He didn’t appear to be that old?

I tried to post a comment earlier, but looks like it maybe didn't go through? I am having a hard time grasping that Brain in Scala is a nobody, I think that's really him. He has the hat as his waypoint and maybe this Sigurd person is Luxu (hence, the hood) who has the memories of him? What if Luxu and Brain have been playing this cat/mouse dance over and over throughout the years? Brain gets recompleted somewhere in time, with a version of Luxu ready to possess him. Maybe the waypoint changes overtime?, and maybe the new waypoint is Ephemer's scarf? Perhaps with all the turmoil on Brain and Luxu, maybe not all the memories are there, and Brain becomes Braig eventually. Thoughts?
I do believe that the person calling himself Sigurdr is Luxu, and that was the reason why Brain was able to return. I do believe Luxu is the reason why all of them returned eventually.

I really like your Nobody theory on this! I’m confused about a couple of things. In Backcover Luxu’s voice never changes and it seems he was always meant to look like Brain since you can see his hair in the “may your heart be your guiding key” scene. Also I was wondering is it common to pass on your physical traits when you possess a body? (I.e. Terranort having silver hair and yellow eyes) if so what does that mean for other potential vessels of Luxu?

To me, this Scala ad caelum reminds me of the holy sea of ishgard from FFXIV.
So Eraquas left scala to land of departure an raised 2 apprentice, xehanort had a base in keyblade graveyard buy only found Ventus an eventually brain/luxu, but why was scala abandoned..Yensid took on mickey in his tower..hmm

Empher seemed to have never let there time cause hes still in the pod. The others all came back reconstructed and without the pod so I have to assume he was left in the new world alone. Brain has to be at a point in the future. After emphers passing but also before YMX comes to scala and leads up to present day. The virus refers to ven from now on going off the secret reports in kh3. Looking over everything with a new lens. People are saying sora is emepher. I disagree because in birth by sleep. Sora proclaims hes a new heart. So I dont think he is supposed to be anyone reincarnated. Just the normal boy who happened to be there when riku fell to darkness. I think YMX was stuck reborn with some darkness in him which was shadowed in the opening of KH3 when he looked to the stars. Stars being about destiny and him only seeing darkness. Ava should come back from like a darkness sleeping realm situation and add to the growing girl power group forming. Xehanort having that knowledge on quadratuim In melody of memory must come from the darkness that's possessing him. Which we now know is what the master told darkness in the finally. Rewatching the scene in recorded where maleficent seems to think the book of phoiphices is capable of writing up new worlds. I wonder if its capable of controlling people's actions in fated moments. Sorta like the death note when you can write out how someone's life will end. If the book could be that powerful as it keeps writing endless worlds and empeher or brain are aware of this fact and decide to use it for themselves. Nevertheless I believe the book is very important and a true copy of it hasn’t been seen yet in the present but we can assume one would be in scala. Luxord and demix. Have not been shown in this finally at all. but somehow have ties to this great conflict. My problem with believing that they are from there outright. Is normura intended that meet cute between notics and sora happening with the real cast and the where entirely separate characters in that original set up. Now characters with similar looking traits. Could take on the persona of these fictional characters that never made it from nomuras vision. so this other fictional worlds. Reweighting situation needs to have a reason for happening. like did someone literally decide to play author in someway and pretend like tabada rewrote his literal art and now "yozora" has to fight for his right to exist in his own real cannon?
I agree. I think Ephemer never left. His Lifeboat must have been damaged in that final scene as he and Skuld were trying to get out, and he did not time travel like the others.

I was wondering about another possibility, but that's problematic too... what if strelitzia helped luxu to get data brain and was this one to be the true dandelion, so luxu took control of brain and sent his "data" body in the future?
For the nobody theory i'm just confused on one part, in order to be a nobody as we see in the other games it seems not sufficient to become a vessel, but is always important to loose your heart. When Xehanort takes control of Terra it's not the moment where Ansem and Xemnas are genereted, they become a thing once Terrahnort used its keyblade on himself.
I'm onestly kinda confused about this.
Moreover i have some doubt about Ephemer's death too... his keyblade was in the graveyard... for instance we have to imagine he died there, so there was another war or at least another important fight that took place there.
About Scala, the architecture kinda seems more modern than the White scala we saw before, but the costumes were clearly inspired to the 18th century, but how could xeahnort travel through time without an ark? That hooded character has that power or did they rebuild the arks, and if they did so who had the memory and the mean to rebuild their bodies once on the destiny island?
Those are some great questions! I’m going to think on them and rewatch the cinematics and such. If I can make a video about any of them, may I show your comment to give you credit?
For the nobody stuff, I don’t understand how it all works well enough to defend that part of the theory. It’s more of a gut feeling than anything else 😕

I agree with you, I think the second brain is a data version, the true dandelion, check this out:
When ephemer and skuld are leaving data daybreak town they see another arc that was sent, back, probably for the player.
This ark was the fartest, the same show in the computer screen when luxu sends the true dandelion back, so probably that's the arc, and he sent data brain to future time, how I'm sure of this? There's only 1 darkness with luxu, like when master told him that 1 darkness would be trapped in data world, the other 4 were trapped by the player and the other 6 are in the real world.
Conclusion:luxu stole brain body, but kept his heart, travels to data world, recover brains data, sends him to real world again where his hat somehow is with ephemer, who's waiting for brain, and when his heart travel to future his hat act as a medium... and that's it, we have a luxu brain and a brain with his body recovered from his data

Just a point i don't get completely but it's because of the complexity of the nobody thing... i mean, is it actually possible to get control over a person and only then expell her/his heart?
Otherwise if i got it right, luxu must have extracted brain's heart before taking control of him, so brain should have become an heartless and a nobody, so that luxu took actually possession of a nobody.
isn't the nobody the body without the heart? so didnt luxu take brains body before it turns into a nobody putting his heart in there and then sending brains heart to the future to be reconstructed using his hat and the knowledge of him in the future

The Body becomes the Nobody, not the Heart. So if Luxu took the body, the Brain in Scala can't be the Nobody. It's possible the process makes Brain a heart, at which point he can then travel through time without the Lifeboat, right? But, he would still have no body to inhabit in Scala (replicas don't really make sense either since they weren't created until during the time of Sora).
I think we just don't have the full understanding of how Luxu's body-snatching works yet. Because none of the theories I've seen proposed so far fit within the current lore. We're just going to have to wait....
I actually researched the shit out of nobodies and wrote a script yesterday. I’m going to update the theory, but I believe Luxu sent brain’s heart to the future, hat as the medium to create a new body, and Luxu took the empty husk left behind
Also, as I was thinking about it,that's the only thing that makes sense, right? Because there were only two lifeboats left, and both of those were used by Ephemer and Skuld. So that means Brain had to have been sent to the future via a different method...I think. :-)
So daybreak town broke into 2 world's the keyblade graveyard mostly all rock an mountain an the other scala ed calum mostly all water. An they are joined by sky an are occupied same area just different dimensions. Which how an why both worlds exist so close together in story an are the big focal point for xehanort.
Ok. In game model of riku has blue eyes alot. Rewatching KH2 opening again for fun. His eyes are clearly green in the younger shots. Why do rikus eyes keep switching from blue to green
