I was thinking the other day about how Ven is the character that has experienced the most time out of all the main characters. He's seen a lot and the chirithy reunion we see at the end of kh3 really felt like a big hint towards Ven playing a big role from here on out!

I can totally see the series pivoting towards making Ven the lead. Partially because Sora and Co are way overdue for a break; I'd like to see their arc wrap up in the next numbered game, maybe have them end up back at Destiny Islands with Riku being the "king" or defender of that world (because as far as I can tell, it's the only world we've seen that doesn't have some kind of leader, or had one in the past).

Marluxia cannot access the Keyblade because he cannot remember being able to. Seen here: ua-cam.com/video/xPAgMXEi6eA/v-deo.html
Because he cannot feel his heart, he cannot wield a Keyblade. However, subconsciously, he is still obsessed with them.
    Larxene is probably similar.
As for Xigbar, he has to keep up appearances. Braig became Xehanort's underling by saying he would do whatever to have a Keyblade and its power. If he revealed he could already wield one, then his lie would collapse.

While I do think that there is a lot that makes Ventus one of the most interesting characters in KH, and one of my favorites I am not convinced yet that he is going to overtake Sora as the main character. Mostly because Sora also has just as many unexplained mysteries about him as Ventus. Actually I could basically point to any playable character in KH and say that they have unexplained mysteries.
Ventus has a lot pushing for him to be a natural embodiment of Light. Or something along that line of thought. However Riku seems to be a embodiment of healing darkness, or the light inside darkness. And Sora seems to be an embodiment of the connection of hearts.
Actually isn't that three things that people have said Kingdom Hearts is? It is Light, it is the Light within the Darkness, it is the connection between all hearts. If anything I would say all three are main characters. What we really need now is someone to embody darkness because Kingdom Hearts is darkness as well.
Overall I do agree that Ventus is a very important character but it is going to take a lot more work on his part to make me believe that he is the main character. As Sora and Riku are doing a very good job of being dual main characters and have been since the very first game.

I totally agree about them being embodiments of light, healing darkness, and connection between hearts. Especially with Riku being Sora’s dream eater, and with chirithy being the light born from darkness, it’s a nice parallel. I could also see Vanitas as an embodiment of Darkness. He was born of Ven, looks like Sora, and I’m sure there is a connection to Riku in there, I just can’t think of it 😅

I would kind of rather it be Terra and keep those characters as non playable at lest for now. However I have always really liked Terra so that might be wishful thinking on my part.
If it is a character we have already meet in either UX or DR I do have to wonder who. Lauraim actually comes to mind, but mostly because he reminds me of Riku and Terra. I am not sure about any other character from DR but we haven't really meet all the characters from DR.
Also we have to question if Ventus is the only embodiment of light or if there are more. After all Baldr looks, feels, and is named after Light. So if he ends up doing something very much like Ventus did at the end of UX I wouldn't be surprised.
So if there are more people like Ventus we have to question, what, who, and how. Also how it is different then being a Princess of Heart?

Yeah, ventus is definitely a key part of kingdom hearts, so to speak...a lot of people forget or don't realize that roxas is actually the nobody to ventus instead of sora. Only reason why is because of the fact that sora had multiple hearts inside him, so when he turned into a heartless all those nobodies took the forms of the hearts in him while vanitas needed Sora's in order to take form. Throughout the games, a handful of people had said that a lot of memories sleep within sora because ventus' heart was inside Sora's thus carrying all the memories ven had before he went to sora. Sora's job was to free everyone which is why roxas came to sora in his dreams in dream drop distance and said, "this is why it has to be you" as he flooded Sora's vision with memories from all games prior to kh3. As mentioned in the comments, we still don't know the true beginning of Ventus, we don't know what happened before the events of him killing strelitzia and Darkness the entity turning into the form of ava to "promote him as a union leader." Ironically, we learned more about ventus and he still remains a mystery.
I can say the same for riku; we know Terra bequeathed the power to wield a keyblade to him when he was a kid back in birth by sleep. Before that happens, he says to terra, "--I know you came from another world. I heard there was a kid that left this world too, I bet he's super strong now!" Then Terra sees images of riku as a teenager, then young xehanort, then (if I'm not mistaken) Ansem the seeker of darkness. How does riku know about this?? We see what happens to young xehanort in the beginning of dark road as well as the explanation of time travel in dream drop distance. So does riku see it happen somehow? Or does the old man that took care of xehanort since he was an infant tell riku this little story? Is that old man and riku related??
Getting back to ventus, what confuses me is that if sora released ven's heart by using the power of waking, how is sora still able to use the keyblade? Perhaps I missed something out, maybe he earned it somehow or this is some kind of plot armor gimmick.
And don't get me started with Kairi...

    • @pajamaletsplay9859
      @pajamaletsplay9859  2 роки тому +3

I always assumed Riku had heard stories of Xehanort, but who knows? I also think Sora earned the keyblade through his journey, like whatever the prerequisites are, he may have learned because of Ven being in his heart. Like a little conscience or something

    • @RFDN0

Roxas is actually Sora's Nobody. Yes Roxas looks like Ventus but we were told that is because Ventus' heart was connected to Sora's. An interview actually confirmed that. It's also the same reason we have for Vanitas looking like a Teenage Sora when Sora was 4 years old. The connection between the two hearts were strong enough to effect both Vanitas and Roxas. Roxas pulled Sora's memories.
For Riku "knowing" about Xehanort we have Riku directly say there was a tale about a kid who left the island. It was a folktale that was passed down for decades at that point. That doesn't need anyone in particular to spread the story. We saw something similar happen with Selphie talking to Kairi about Riku in KH2. What Terra sees honestly could be explained 3 ways. 1. Terra didn't actually see that (it was for the audience), 2. somehow Terra did actually get a glimpse of the future and past, 3. He imagined that after hearing Riku's motivations and remembered a story/image from his own past for young Xehanort.
In KH1 the Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key D were created by the sudo kingdom hearts. This was again stated in an interview. Kingdom Key was meant for Riku but between Riku accessing the darkness and Sora's ability to connect to others Sora pulled Kingdom Key from Riku's Heart. That was told to us in an interview. We had the scenes in KH1 where Kingdom Key changed hands between both Sora and Riku with Sora's strength of heart eventually "convincing" Kingdom Key to stay with him. It became convoluted when more keyblades were involved. While not bestowed a keyblade until KH3 Sora overtime did gain the ability to do so himself arguably in the scene where he regains the keyblade in KH1. Riku effectively forged his own keyblade from souleater for KH2 and in KH3 a new keyblade was forged by Yen Sid for Riku which further makes a mess of Kingdom Key.
That man who cared for Xehanrot is dead. Xehanrot it had been at minimum 50 years more likely 80 since Xehanrot left the island. We also know that character is the player character for the new mobile game coming out because he is a reincarnation of the player character from Union Cross. He is also the full reason Xehanort know about the people and circumstances from the Keyblade war.
Kairi getting to destiny island is straight forward. Terra-Xehanort experimented on her for some reason to send her to a different world. Aqua's charm from BBS redirected her to either Ventus' Heart, to where another keyblade wielder would be (Riku), to destiny Island it's self (unlikely) or somehow to what magic would declare as Kairi's chosen "Prince" (based off of the three previous worlds she had literally just visited [Sora]). I honestly have no idea which. Her capability to use the Keyblade was obtained either from holding Aqua as a child as just the act of taking the keyblade from a keyblade master is the supposed method to gain that ability, or from her time in Sora's heart gaining it the same time Sora did potentially in KH1 or when Riku just gave her Destiny's Embrace that he got from somewhere. Princesses of light currently have no actual origin just like the true darknesses really don't either. We know both exist, were made some how and in particular the Princesses do not remain so forever meaning either artificial forces with a trigger condition to swap or a primordial entity with built in limitations. As we know Kingdom Hearts can recreate a universe it could technically be both.

I definitely think Vanitus was the "darkness" from the Union X era. at the end of KH3 when Vanitus gets defeated he says "I am darkness" the only issue with Vanitus being one of the past darknesses is that darkness must take a physical form to be destroyed. Since Vanitus was taken out of Ventus then one would only think it didn't have a physical form yet Vanitus did. Also, at the end of union X darkness left Ven and Ven was no longer possessed. @@pajamaletsplay9859 But Riku being the Keyblade Chosen is what causes the Keyhole of Destiny Islands to appear to him.
It is also the reason Ansem, Seeker of Darkness possessed him to begin with.
Also, Riku takes back the Keyblade back in Hollow Bastion after Maleficent awakes his true potential. That potential is his Chosen nature.

Also, Young Xehanort tells Sora about abusing the Power of Waking despite it not helping any version of himself. And Young Xehanort in that clip spells out that because Riku can channel darkness, they are just going to destroy him. So why even bother lying?
