Luxu a Clone of The Master of MAsters!? Is that possible? Well, given Kingdom Hearts 3 and Union X - I'm starting to believe it very well might be.

I think a big mistake a lot of us are making is thinking that now that we know that Xigbar was Luxu that the mystery surrounding Luxu has been solved. No my friends, I believe the mystery that is Luxu, has only just begun.

I've always thought that there's a time loop involved in the story where Luxu becomes the Master and then, he travels back to set things in motion.
A time loop such of this would be par for the course when it comes to Square Enix's storytelling

I get the feeling the Master of Master put himself in Luxu the way Xehanort puts himself in people. During Xehanort's Keyblade War, Xigbar seems to know the Guardians failed the "first time". When he comments on it , the camera zooms in on his Eye, like when Aqua asking who Braig is in BBS. Xigbar seems to have the "sight"
I could very see it going down that way, I have a feeling we'll see a fair amount of overlap between The Master of Masters and Xehanort, only The Master will be far more clever and powerful
I have a theory. I think luxu and yozora may have switched bodies and that’s why they don’t want us seeing any part of what luxu looks like. Like yozora may have been Luxus last apprentice before Braig or maybe around the same time. And that’s why yozora says “how can you recognize me as yozora?” And the star says “his hearts been replaced with another.” Who do we know besides xehanort that takes over bodies?! Luxu. Or perhaps yozora may even be luxus original body. In the trailer we do see MoM and Luxu in quadratum

I thought brain would be the first replica based on Luxus appearance, but this is equally as viable. Maybe there is a difference between clone/ replica. Interesting
I had the same thought cross my mind for a long time. The only difference is that Luxu actually IS the Master of Masters, just a past version of him before the events leading up to who he becomes have begun. Part of me feels like this is an alternate take on the Grandfather Paradox, but instead becoming your own grandfather, MoM is effectively grooming his past self and being his own master in a twisted way. Whether it's to ensure he makes sure his fate remains in tact or change it, it's hard to say honestly.

Ya know...I have thought Luxu might be the son of the MOM, because Invi (At least I think it was Invi) in back cover says she is nervous about the Master or Luxu not being around to lead them. Which made me think that Luxu is a sort of heir to the MOM, like a child would be to his/her parents.
Now with this video, I wonder if it may be a combination of both. A sort of King Piccolo and Piccolo scenario. Where Piccolo is both the son and reincarnation of King Piccolo. Luxu is both the son and copy of MOM?
Yes! I always found it peculiar that Invi holds Luxu in a higher regard than her fellow foreteller.
If they went that King Piccolo route I feel it could really work too

What if, like Father from FMA:B, MOM split himself up into 6 other vessels in order to contain more darknesses (the strongest ones), and all the Foretellers+Luxu are clones/replicas/vessels for his own heart??? lol I don't actually believe this, but it would be a cool reference to Father in FMA:B. Instead of casting off his humanistic desires to be a perfect being, he wants to, instead, contain beings that are too powerful to conquer alone.
As a huge fan of FMA:B - I honestly wouldn't mind this
Xigbar is a huge mystery like come now he has been under the radar for quite some time from bbs and kh2 and setting the organization up to defeated by sora twice not to mention him committing suicide in the keyblade graveyard instead of going back to the darkness or his time he escapes and falls and disappears to another time line
It's so weird how Luxu wears a cloam when he wouldn't have the ssame face as Braig anyways. Something is up.
This is close to an old theory i had made that i theorized That the MoM is Xigbar but then it turn out he is Luxu,but then your theory says that he might be a clone of the original MoM,which helps me give just a lil more depth to my theory that Xigbar is the MoM.

I remember there being a Theory saying that the Master of Masters was future Luxu that was a fun theory though doesn't hold up too well anymore.
This is a interesting idea. I am not sure I am willing to believe it but now that it has been pointed out I might have it as a question in the back of my head for a while.
Even if it is true though I am not sure it will matter much. We have had copies of characters before, and they are really always there own people with their own wants, and ideals. Just look at Riku, he has both a Replica, and a Data version of himself and they are different characters. Riku Replica is angrier and is in love with Namine. Data Riku is the voice of Jimmeny's Journal and much better at computering then the real Riku is. They both have their own hearts and are not the same as Riku for all they have some similarities.
So even if Luxu was somehow a clone of MoM, he would also be his own character. That said I don't think he is a clone. Luxu has been body hoping for a very long time, so if he is a clone it would be as a heart only. If Luxu was a copy of MoM, MoM wouldn't need an Ark to time travel to any point in time Luxu is, because he could just us the leave your body and go to a version of yourself time travel. Granted Ark travel does seem to make it so you don't have to return to your own time. Still there would be less hoops for MoM to time travel. Third I am not at all sure that MoM is human, but Luxu really seems to be, I guess Luxu might also be whatever MoM is...might explain why Luxu is the one chosen to live out the years into the present. Yet Luxu really does seem to think he is human so I am not sure that works.
I absolutely agree with you when it comes to your assessment of Riku and how it shows each versions unique individuality. I think KH's take on sentience and being one's own self is one of its strong points thematically. He very well could be an exact clone of The Master, but that wouldn't keep him from being his own unique character with his own unique experiences.
I'm not convinced The Master is "human" either, but for now we'll just have to wait and see

This video is nice! It also doubles as a tutorial for what’s going on with Yozora at the end of KH3. Yozora says “How did you recognize me as Yozora*?…. I am Yozora but this is not what I look like” ????? Between Luxu and Ira the same sentiment is the same. “Is that you Luxu? You look different” “I haven’t heard that name in a long time…it’s still me”
TLDR:
“Braig/Xigbar” is Luxu but that’s not what Luxu looks like. Just like Yozora Imagine if the first time Sora met Xigbar in KHII Sora called him Luxu.
Meaning Yozora *COULD* be in a similar situation.
Also, Xigbar's comment in Olympus sound like he knows where Sora is going (Unreality) and he suggests Sora has friends in high places. Now, if Mom were the equivalent of an Archangel in "human" form, then he is Sora's "friend". And Sora's friend would need to be nearby like the way Joshua is nearby for his friend/proxy.
Luxu said that Hercules had friends in high places not sora but I get where you’re going.
@@KingPractice Hercules is a hero pattern that Sora embodies. That is why Xigbar says it in front of Sora. Sora is like Hercules.
Really interesting theory man. You got me thinking. We haven't seen Luxu's keyblade and if it's like with Brain where his keyblade was revealed and told us more about him, I think it might be the same. Luxu's keyblade might be a twist of some sort cos we haven't seen it yet and that's usually why things like that get held back from us. But maybe the twist is that it always was his which makes that "back where it belongs" line even more meaningful. Good stuff man!
My theory is luxu some how related to the master of master ilke his son or descendant of his ether way they are connected some how
Not sure if this is related but it's always bothered me:
What makes Luxu's body-hopping odd to me is how bodies seemingly return to their original state if both someone's nobody and heartless are destroyed. You'd think xehanort would turn back to terranort, the state he was in before his heart was lost, but instead he turned into old man master xehanort, the body he had prior to terra...so wouldn't that mean xigbar would have reverted back to his original body too? It's stated to be the same rules at play that brings the organization back again and again. You'd think Luxu would revert back to his original form if that was the case.
Unless he somehow retains his appearance when he's body hopping?
This whole thing honestly sounds just like a plot hole. Kingdom Hearts has so much details in it's lore it lends itself vulnerable to this, but Nomura is also pretty good at going back and trying to fix things when he can.
With that being said, this might actually support your theory a bit: if he DID go back to his original body and he retains appearances, then he wouldn't have lost his eye to Terra right? It'd technically be a different body....but if that different same-looking body was STILL missing an eye for a DIFFERENT reason and Nomura retconned the Terra thing into being a red herring then...well that'd be kinda clever.
FINALLY!!! Someone addressing these facts! I have been wondering about Luxu and his keyblade for so long! Plus, since the possibility of travelling back and forward in time was introduced in KH I always kinda believed that the MoM travelled back to where his previous self was and that he interfered with how things went in his original timeline (and that was the reason for his disappearance in my mind). Of course by this idea MoM and Luxu could be two versions of the same person and it could be all just be speculation, but we will see I guess!

Something that i don't know whether it is explained or will ever be is: Why is Luxu the closest to the Master of Masters? Why choose him specifically?
What about Xion and Roxas, do the keyblades they wield count as thier own?
Great Question, Considering both of their existences basically came from extracting from Sora's, I would say it would count as their own Keyblades seeing as they are in some way the same as Sora, Replicas or not.
Luxu to me has always been a creation by the master (just like chirithys) as are all of the other people in the universe. I swear the master is god.

I just assumed Luxu was the Master of Masters’ son.
It could happen that the Master of Masters is an older Luxu that has travelled to the past from the future like Maleficent in order to train his past self, that would explain why he said to Luxu: "Come on, you *did* a fantastic job!"
It's like there are many temporal paradoxes, which is lowkey creepy because it hints at the darkness (who MoM aims to defeat) being some sort of god-like being that has full control over destiny. These paradoxes are Xehanort helping his past self arrive at Scala Ad Caelum and Maleficent arriving from the future when it hadn't happened yet. I personally think that the darkness is none other than Kingdom Hearts (which Xehanort calls "the first light") since Xemnas claimed in Day 255 of Days that it gave roles to Axel, Roxas and Xion (after this scene Xion lost conciousness in DI), MoM gave *roles* to his apprentices and told Ira to focus on what happens after the war from Daybreak Town...
It'd explain why for forging either the X-Blade or the Keyblade of Heart the villains needed to sacrifice the lives of people (and some people still think KH is child-friendly, omg...) I also think that for Kingdom Hearts the characters are just like toys, it perceives them as dolls: in KH3 Pence and everyone else is posing for a photo and Pence realizes no one is taking it, because KH temporarily took over their hearts, which makes me believe that MoM is a time-travelling Sora instead of a time-travelling Xigbar, and this might be why MoM is crazy and has this nonchalant attitude...
And it just doesn't make any sense that Xehanort can send people from the past to the future while at the same time not being punished for turning the timeline into a mess, there are rules for time-travelling but only Sora is punished 😅...Anyway in short because of the reasons mentioned before I don't think your theory is unlikely, you're definitely on to something. Could it be possible that the Master cast aside a part of himself and because it was so strong willed took a human form so he covered it in the cloak to protect it and so that it can traverse freely?
I know a lot of people were speculating the MoM to be Sora or Demyx but when we saw the scene where he talks to Young Xehanort I do almost get a Xigbar vibe.

So there something interesting to note about Luxu Keyblade that I briefly mentioned before in the last video you made about him regarding the number 7 reference. It true that Luxu was the only apprentice on screen given a keyblade by the Master. With the exception of Gula, all the Foreteller were given animal mask that associate with their sin according to the Ancrene Wisse (Unicorn/Wrath/Ira, Snake/Envy/Invi, Bear/Sloth/Aced, and Fox/Greed/Ava). According to A.W. Luxi should be a scorpion not a Goat, which the Master give him. But remember before it was confirm that the Keyblade had a goat emblem everyone assumed it was a lion/manticore with horns, which I still believe it is as if you change the Keyblade color scheme it will resemble more of a lion in my opinion at least. Before the end of Union Cross and the revelation it held regarding Luxu and the Master talk I assumed that during back cover that Luxuxwaa truly the odd one out mainly because he lost his keyblade during the exam or something. Even though he passed after losing it, he spoke with the Master to discuss matter and how he can't be any help to him. It was there the Master assured Luxu he was stilled needed and gave him No Name as a replacement. Hopefully in the 20th anniversary we get a game with Luxu and Foreteller backstory
