I'm Brazilian and apparently I also have visual snow. Well, during the day I usually see it like TV static, but at a lower intensity, it's practically imperceptible during the day, I see the "pixels" along with the floaters when looking at the very clear sky, I even see the snow better when I look at the sky. And at night, when I'm in the dark, I see the pixels pass through my vision and if I stare at an object, my vision starts to darken. It's good to know that I'm not the only one, it's very rare to find this type of content, especially when searching in my language.
I have had visual snow since childhood, I always saw ripples, interference, sometimes I noticed a glow around objects, like a kind of aura, especially if the objects differ in contrast. Once in childhood I told someone about this, no one in the family understood what I was talking about)) After experiencing terrible stress, the symptoms intensified: more noticeable palinopsia appeared, as in the video, there are transient spots floating before the eyes, flashes before the eyes are random. I still can’t get used to it, but I think if I work through the nervous shock, then my visual snow will cause me less discomfort) Good thing I stumbled upon this channel and the community. Knowing that you are not alone and that people can live with it gives strength)))

I'm pretty sure I have this, I see floaters everyday and they are often so severe that I can't see things such as other people's faces, it's basically grey floaters and beads of light that block me from seeing anything. It isn't just the day, it can also be on the night. When I go to bed and turn my light off, I see millions of black dots.
Same especially when it's bright or when I'm outside, it definitely sucks. I even turned my phone brightness completely down because otherwise I would go nuts. I also have to walk around with my phone lightning at nights, so that I can see
Eye floaters, Myodesopsias. Black or white-coloured dots, spots, threads or cobwebs of different shapes, that move with eye movements. If you notice a sudden increase in eye floaters, contact an eye specialist (ophthalmologist)immediately, especially if you also see light flashes or lose your vision. @@VisualSnowInitiative thank you for creating this page and your videos! I've had an extreme version of this for 20 years now following brain surgery in my occipital lobe. The most frustrating part next to not being able to read or drive now, is not being able to relate it so my family and friends can envision it for themselves. You've brought me so much more solidarity with your videos I am so grateful!
Strangely this started happening to me starting just yesterday. Not this extreme with the flashing colors, only a few moments of that. But the images of things floating across. Or seeing things moving next to me then I look and there's nothing there? I felt like a ghost was fucking after me. It scared the shit out of me. I don't get why this just started out of nowhere when I haven't ever had it before. I'm kinda freaked out.
SAME! I developed paranoia for awhile and its weird you can’t barely tell your peripherals are being effected. It took awhile for me to notice I can’t see whatsin my peripheral it’s like I see it but my brain doesnt process what it is and doesn’t fill in the detail so a coat rack looks like a person standing there. It came RIGHT after we had our first baby and I worked manual labor full time in big empty houses so for over a year I would freak out and have panic attacks at work cause I felt like I was being watched. I couldnt turn on loud equipment without looking around and checking my surroundings the whole time cause I guess since my vision was worse I relied on my ears and once there was no information coming in from my ears either it put my brain in panic mode. Ive gotten way better managing sympotoms but when it first happens it can be quite a scare.
For about 1 year I have been experiencing all these symptoms which suddenly appeared in my life. As it was just in the phase of floating objects I went to the optometrist and she told me " not to worry, I should just keep wearing my glasses". Since that time things was getting worse and that's how gradually all these static visual symptoms started to amplify and I didn't know exactly what was happening to my eyes. I was questioning the whole time whether if my visual system were degenerating itself from the inside or it's just stress, fortunately yesterday I came across a comment in a forum in which somebody else described exactly the same symptoms known as visual snow and that's how I felt a bit relieved knowing what I am suffering of. Am not alone...
Mine (undiagnosed) is way less annoying to deal with. Less floaters, less static, just something I realize exists for like a minute or so and then I just forget about it
Seeing visual snow while having visual snow is really something else I realized i had it at 2nd grade but didn't say a word At 5th grade i spoke up but didn't get it Best way to describe this without a picture would be "you know those old school tvs? When they just flicker black and white when nothing is on? Yea that"

We will reveal the official dates when it will take place on our SM. Stay Tuned! We have a list of Doctors in our Doctor Directory who are aware of VSS. If there is no doctor in your area feel free to print our Diagnostic Criteria from our website and take it to your next doctor appointment with your neuro-opthalmologist. Our team is doing its best to find doctors all around the world. Thank you for your patience & support. 🤍
Why does everyone here take this condition as a tragedy? I have the third one, visual trailings, and I really like it. For me is relaxing and I entertain myself a lot just moving my hands and watching the visual effects. Of course, I'm not talking about the medical reasons behind this, but just about the ways you can accept this and live with it.
Hi! 🤍 Some people share that their life is negatively impacted by VSS and others say their snow doesn’t affect them negatively and they are just used to it. It depends on your personal experience & perspective. Everyone’s VSS is different, so it also depends on your health history, lifestyle, & unique set of symptoms. Some people share that they still enjoy life despite VSS and some have a positive outlook/embrace how they see the world. There are people whose livelihood, work, art, and character are shaped by VSS. It’s unique to each person. And all these different feelings on it are valid 🫶
Trail image first time I saw I had the night before a panic attack as I woke up I saw it, and the second I was crying about the death of a caracter that died in a show, all this in less then a month and now like a week now I started seeing very mild visual snow but only in dark spaces or when looking at black things.
I have been suffering from it for 2 years now, doctor asked me to ignore it or forget it. As I am a teenager they feel that I am lying to escape studies. Thanks for spreading awareness
We're glad to inform you that we have a comprehensive directory of various Doctors aware of VSS on our website around the world. www.visualsnowinitiative.org/doctors/
A lot of these visuals are also caused by Hallucinogenic Perception Persistence Disorder (HPPD), which while related (also a visual-snow disorder), is still different from VSS.
Glad people a talking about visual snow more, so glad I'm not alone :) someone had the audacity to say I was faking girl why would I fake somthing like this?? 🙄
@@yvettezilla it's actually quite strange that alot of people got it during there early lives🤔 now that I discovered this am worrying I don't have it but what if it happens to me???? I would literally just give up at life I had tinnitus all sorts of these scary things tinnitus was the worse it left after 2 days so I was lucky but now if I was to have this I would just end my life like literally I suffered alot of stuff in 2022 I gotten used to them and half of them left but this one seems to me like it's gonna be the worst if I have it the main reason I am scared of this is because I see people commenting that they can't sleep they see this in night now I can deal with these types of things but when they get into my sleep life I just wouldn't be able to take it sorry for also writing a long ease.
Every now and then I'll have a little color it freaks me out mostly like red or green also flashes of light in random spots at random times eye floats are annoying the static when I open or close my eyes on one side in my peripheral
I have all of the symptoms shown here. Floaters, static, flashes, afterimages etc.I also see tree-like branches when light shines from the side of my vision, and i can see my pulse in the left eye, and when i walk my vision shakes.
If that helps i started suffering badly from this after covid last year, i mean i always had a little VSS but thought it was normal and after the infection the palinopsia and after images became so bad i can't drive at night and i changed all the brightness from tv and phones to the minimum, so basically no cinema for example and worst of all people, friends think i am crazy...wow
Visual snow? Check! Impaired vision in the dark? Check! Floaters? Check! Stronger afterimages? Check! Strange lighty artifacts? Check, but are not that common! Plus very slight palinopsia (I think). Plus rarely migraines with aura (scotoma) 😰
getting an eye exam soon because of static in my eyes, pretty sure it’s this due to the other symptoms i have (sensory to light, after effects, random lights in my eyes) edit: been diagnosed
Look on the bright side! When you close your eyes at night, there's a light show, an increase in visual memory with afterimages. Lastly, sometimes I associate this disease with space and the universe. Stars and the big bang, it's funny, but it reminds me of that. Maybe we're in the matrix universe, and there's a problem with our perception cables, what do you think? :D
Hi I think I have this but not on a daily basis.. I always see like wierd orbs just running in my eye, I cant touch them. They always appear when i'm going to sleep
Frankly I’m not sure if I have it. There’s nothing unusual in my vision, except for if I focus (easier to see in dark) there’s many many infinitesimally small dots. Not to mention my eyes getting ‘stained’ temporarily with a blurry dark spot if I look directly at bright lights. I am unsure if this is normal or not.
I have this everything looks like colorful dot filter also when i get migraines or headaches theres always a part of my vision that becomes white and i cant see it but when i look at that area it just disappears and goes to another area i had this since i was like 7-8 i didnt notice it at first tho
Do you akso see things in your room while trying to sleep like right in your face .i see wierd things sometimes and want to know if that has a connection. I realised that its not normal yesterday. I really want to know
Nice to know I’m not alone with visual snow.
doctors don’t get it but at least some people do!

We're glad to inform you that we have a comprehensive directory of various Doctors aware of VSS on our website around the world.

I don't have it but have symptoms when waking ip in the light, in the dark, and sometimes with my eyes closed. *MY ANXIETY*
My optician called me a liar when i was younger :(
The last one is called visual trailing and this really is ruining my studies!
Yeh bruh me to , i even feel weird while reading books , like it somehow feels very bright 🙂😵💫

I think i have the first and second one, I don't know but if i am outside or look at the sky i see little cells and whatever else
Thank you for sharing. We feel you. It can be quite debilitating and annoying ❤️ Hang in there! We are always here for support and resources.
@@hydra4619 That freaked me out the first time I saw that.
A lot of these visuals are also caused by Hallucinogenic Perception Persistence Disorder (HPPD), which while related (also a visual-snow disorder), is still different from VSS.
I always have this kinda of black static vision and when I look up at the sky I see the same thing.
Some supplements can help. Taurine. Acetyl L Carnitine. NAC. omega 3s. avoid stimulants.
have these helped you
Your not alone I deal with it as well
Glad people a talking about visual snow more, so glad I'm not alone :) someone had the audacity to say I was faking girl why would I fake somthing like this?? 🙄
And Ive had this for aslong as I can remember, only found what it was actually called a year ago lol thought it was normal 😅
You are not alone and we are always here for support and resources. Hang in there💙
@@yvettezilla it's actually quite strange that alot of people got it during there early lives🤔 now that I discovered this am worrying I don't have it but what if it happens to me????
Now add snowy vision, floaters, stars and negative after images together.
I have all of the symptoms shown here. Floaters, static, flashes, afterimages etc.I also see tree-like branches when light shines from the side of my vision, and i can see my pulse in the left eye, and when i walk my vision shakes.
Where ever I look it looks like I see mild static but it’s super easy to agnore
I have this aswell but quite mild
just recently found out this wasnt normal. as a kid i thought i was seeing atoms, finally glad some light is being shed
Is visual snow caused by eye surgeries especially retinal laser????
I also have this
I feel lucky that all I get(Or all I notice) is colored vision static
This is so true
I really hate haveing the floaters.
We feel you! We do too.💙
I have visual snow syndrome and for me everything is just always staticy and i see random colors a lot of the time
I thought I was crazy! All these years I’m 24 and I thought everyone got these
We are the 3%. May we find peace in our dissociative fortress.
Wait a second, everyone doesn’t see that pulsing vortex that I do when I look into the sky?
This is the first time I've seen a video mention or represent the "nightclub phenomenon" which is a big one for me personally
Thank you for sharing. We are glad the video was helpful and relatable ❤️😊👍🏻
I have it too ❤
For me it’s like colored, but not vibrant or easily visible bubbles popping at a very rapid pace
Im with you too
i only have the squiggly lines that fall from the sky
i have a really mild form of this and at first thought i just needed glasses
Got all of this after abusing various psychedelic substances. It gets better with time
when I told my mum about the after images she just told me I might have a vitamin deficit
I deal with the same thing what kind of after images do you see
mine says it's because I stay all day in font on PC hahaha
@@Imjonwaynecan you see moving objects properly?
@@amandayvonete9158 that's also a cause of vss, you can get vss for watching screens too long every day! It damages your brain
getting an eye exam soon because of static in my eyes, pretty sure it’s this due to the other symptoms i have (sensory to light, after effects, random lights in my eyes)
edit: been diagnosed
I sometimes see stuff in my vision.
I see sometimes the first ones...
Это Фосфены и не относится к Визуальному снегу
I have very minor visual snow I can only see if when it’s dark or when I’m focusing
my 28 year old daughter has it....she is having postpartum depression and much of it is because of her vision. How can I help her????
trippy
Same except the last one
Hi I think I have this but not on a daily basis.. I always see like wierd orbs just running in my eye, I cant touch them. They always appear when i'm going to sleep
Thanks for sharing
you forgot the sparkling in the sky
Frankly I’m not sure if I have it. There’s nothing unusual in my vision, except for if I focus (easier to see in dark) there’s many many infinitesimally small dots. Not to mention my eyes getting ‘stained’ temporarily with a blurry dark spot if I look directly at bright lights. I am unsure if this is normal or not.
I hàve the same problem
I wish I could see the world others do 😢
I don't see the fuzz, but I get the palinopsia and floaters
Yea it’s mostly lights bright lights for me that suck and dark
LOLL FACTS 😂😂😂
I have this everything looks like colorful dot filter also when i get migraines or headaches theres always a part of my vision that becomes white and i cant see it but when i look at that area it just disappears and goes to another area i had this since i was like 7-8 i didnt notice it at first tho
0:12 I sometimes see like that more when it’s dark tho
Do you akso see things in your room while trying to sleep like right in your face .i see wierd things sometimes and want to know if that has a connection.
I realised that its not normal yesterday. I really want to know
It happened to me sometimes 😮😮😮
