Due to physical prices for this WONDERFUL handheld, I only go to pick up Vita games one or two at a time, play them and then eventually target something else. I love JRPGs and since many of those tend to be spendy, the prices usually hit me pretty hard pretty fast. Fantastic video highlighting the awesomeness of this handheld. I do hope that on your future trip to Japan you are able to pick up MANY more games for the Vita, especially since I know how passionate you are about it. Thanks MJ!

You can have improved frame rates, save battery life, emulate retro games (NES, MD, & TG-16 are pretty much perfect), access the PSP's XMB, connect a DualShock 4, store all your games on a sd card, and so much more.
Watching from the philippines, one of my favorite retro game reviews and videos to watch with my friends, metal jesus, always entertaining to watch! Keep it up sir ur the best! Happy new year!!
Absolutely love seeing people who have embraced the Vita like I have. You have an amazing collection and I cannot wait to see what games you add in the future. I’m currently collecting a full Aus Vita collection which is currently sitting at around 60 titles with unfortunately so many of the more expensive ones still to go
The Vita turns 10 this month, still have my launch unit, and absolutely love it to this day. Only own 6 physical games: Odin Sphere Dragons Crown Borderlands 2 Gravity Rush Freedom Wars Final Fantasy X
Even though PS VITA is failed and underrated but there's still good points from this system: - Although some PS VITA games have increased in price, there are also some great games that can still be purchased at low prices, for example NFS Most Wanted, Uncharted Golden Abbys, Killzone Mercenary, and Unit 13. - The owner and community of this system are very friendly, you can see the community activities at r/vita on Reddit. - This console build like a tank lol - Hacking and the homebrew community keep this console alive and well because Vita means life.
I bought my Vita Day One. I loved it. Freedom Wars was one of my favorites. I bought the YS Memories of Celcetta special edition. It's my only one for it. Great video.
MJR & Reggie got me into the Vita and it's become my favorite handheld of all time! Nintendo Switch is great, but Vita was first, and having the ability to play PS1 games in your hands is 🔥🔥🔥
Love my vita, have about 120 games and counting, as well as both the OLED and slim models. It was so ahead of its time and it will always be my favorite handheld of all time.
It saddens me so much, back when I was younger I had so many games but in order to get newer games, I had to trade in at GameStop. It hurts my soul every time I think of what could of been lol I also used to have a Vita & I am now on the hunt for another and to build my physical collection amongst all systems. Loved Gravity Rush though! Great Vid as always MJR!
Never got a Vita, but absolutely love the PSP. So I'm sure I would've loved the Vita as well. I never got one because I actually thought all the games were download only, which I was completely against. Which seems silly now seeing as that's pretty much how all games are. I would love for Playstation to come out with a new handheld.
I went all out on the psp because I didn't get one until like 2 years ago, and most of the games are cheap. I bought a vita around the same time, but most of the games are either also available on the PS4, or insanely overpriced.
Love the video. I think you are missing some of the Warriors games like Warrior's Orochi 1 and 2 and Samurai Warriors 4 and 4-II but overall great collection. Soldner X2 is one of my favorite shooters on this system. Too bad it didn't have online play. That would have been sweet. Would love Dariusburst Chronical Saviours and Drive Girls one day. You also missed 99Vidas, Foul Play and Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds as well just because they are beat em ups
Thanks for sharing! I recently sold my Vita collection (147 physical games) as well as my full Atari Jaguar/CD collection. Was able to pay off my brand new car with the $5,200 I received from selling both collections. I loved collecting but didn’t play the systems library that much, only around 10 games often played. I still have both my OLED and Slim vita’s, both modded now, and will definitely be keeping them! I think size wise that the Vita is the perfect size for a handheld system. There are definitely a few phenomenal games that you can’t play anywhere else. 👍🏻
One of my favorite systems and I'd love to collect more for it, but every shop around here only ever has the same 4-5 games. And they're always $50+. I've gotten most of my collection from Amazon, ebay etc. but it's just so expensive now. The dream would be to visit Japan for multiple reasons, and seeing the love for Vita over there is definitely one of them.
Your videos are the best mjr.. i feel so happy watching and rewatching them many times. Has been really enjoyable for many years. I still have my official MJR coin too! Please never stop!
With how much you love old pc adventure games, I'm completely shook that you don't like games like Danganronpa or The Nonary Games. Love the videos, as always 🤘🏼
Vita is hands down my favorite system. I bought mine when Tales of Hearts R was announced for localization back in 2014, since the Tales series has always been a system seller for me. I've managed to get over 120 games in my collection (therefore making it my single largest system library in my entire collection). I once even had a goal to get every NTSC physical game, but that was something I had to give up when the prices jumped back in 2020. Something I really love about the system now is the homebrew community surrounding it. There's plenty of games that didn't release in English that modders are translating into English. Several games that released in Japan on PS4 and Vita only got PS4 releases in English, but people are able to take the English script from PS4 and apply it to the Vita version, with games like Attack on Titan 2 and Catherine Full Body being perfect examples of this.
Great video!!! 👍Lucky you have these vita games!!! It's getting difficult to get any of these games. The vita is a amazing system that got cut away too soon and never reached it's full potential!!!
The Vita is my favorite handheld of all time. I love Persona4 Golden which is my favorite JRPG of all time. Just to be able to dable into a wide variety of unique rpg’s, anime style visual novels (which I love now). These are types of games in the past I wouldn’t have tried, but the vita introduced them, as well as whole new genres of gaming to me. I love the feel of the vita as a handheld as well. Just amazing. Just stinks now because everything is so expensive, if you want to collect physical for it.
I have 80 physical games myself and just over 1/3rd are still sealed. I remember getting many of them dirt cheap at GameStop and local video game stores for next to nothing along with the clearance section at Target. I was shocked at how the values jumped even on opened and CIB games. I also have the launch 3G OLED model, the blue 2000 and the PSTV. It's a great system.
So conflicted about this console! I bought a huge amount of physical copies for the console when it was in its prime and left them sealed until I could play them…Which of course means many are still sealed. Now it makes little sense to open and play then with their values having gone WAY up. Thanks for the great video!
The Vita has been the console that keeps on giving for me, played it for a few days then shelved, few laters later it's got a new colour and a new life with modding
Got me beat, i was collecting digital vita games during its run so i had only 12 physical releases, while having over 900 digital. I've since caught up a bit, having purchased my 50th physical Vita game. As a collector I'm not interested in the modding community, personally nothing beats having a physical copy in a case with artwork, to me it adds tremendous value to the game. I've since turned away from digital games entirely and am a advid PS3 collector. I am going for a full NTSC Set and currently have 908 cib PS3 Games. Getting close to my end goal of all 1171 of them. Happy Gaming, cheers!!
Nice collection of Vita game! I got a lot of the Vita titles from Limited Run Games! I was so glad that they were supporting the Vita while Sony was going away from it! Good video!
Agreed, I love the vita, got it day one, and the screen quality, even now, is fantastic! I love checking out the vita collection (if they even have one) in the second hand gaming shops!
I have a much smaller Vita Collection with only 45 physical games all complete with 4 or 5 valued in the $50 range. I don't play my Vitas often but still love having them around and enjoy it when I do.
I didn't have a Vita back when it was still around. I only got one like, a year and a half ago. But, the Vita's become my favorite handheld. Between the great Vita games, and being able to play every PSP/PS1 game, AND all the unofficial homebrew ports, homebrew apps, and plugins..... the Vita's so much fun to use and mess with.
Wow what a great collection you have! Thanks for the insight. I got a sealed copy of breach and clear for 250€ last year... I guess I was lucky with that when I look at the prices now. And also Big Love to Horizon Chase Turbo. This game is just awesome.
I only got a Vita a few months ago and maaaaaan... you cannot find physical games anymore and the ones I can find people want INSANE money for. Sucks that getting into it late has essentially relegated me to the PSN Store.
Great video and information 😊👍🏻 I’m hoping to get one eventually while I’m out at different thrift stores and stuff but I did find a wii with everything for $35 lol
I own three Vita's (one of them is the OG OLED right before it got discontinued) and one PS TV...... having said that, whenever I look for a good game to buy for my Vita, I always look and see if the same game is available for the Switch. It's just so much easier to swap between handheld mode and TV. Plus the screen on the Switch is bigger.
One of my biggest regrets is to not have purchased Limited Run's Vita blindboxes the last time they did it. I should have bought as many as they had titles or something. Now finding them in the wild or on the internet is a real pain in the neck
I'm not a collector by any means. I just fell in love with my Vita when I played Persona 4. Downloaded that for €10, - and couldn't stop playing it! Now I have around 30 physical games for it. Peanuts compared to actual collectors, but more than I thought I would ever own. I also happen to have one Limited Run game that I bought second hand, nr 100 :) I haven't played all my phydicals yet, but I really liked Aegis of Earth and the Sly Cooper collection. Too bad that Vita online is getting torn down piece by piece by Sony. I would love to play Soul Sacrifice online, for example. The most expensive games I own are probably Axiom Verge Multiverse Edition, which retails for €70,- and Dragon's Crown, which goes for around €100,-
I recommend the Little Deviants. IMHO one of the best games on Vita. The game use the front and the back touch panel, gyroscope, camera. Cute graphic, challenging gameplay.
i have over 200 PSVita Games, 20% of my collection are Japanese RPGs or beat em up games that never came out in america and the community made patches from the digital releases, games like Zenki Zero, Berserk, or trails in the sky series of games. It is a monster console, and despite some games suffer from frame drops, if you have a ....cough (modded).... console the overclocking helps a bunch in games like Jak and Daxter and Borderlands, for example. You have a great collection dude. Really happy to see some games i am missing
You should look into Rhythm games too...there's a bunch of great ones on Vita. Some of my favorites: DjMax Techinika Tune Superbeat Xonic Lumines: Electronic Symphony Persona 4: Dancing All Night Hatsune Miku f2nd Hatsune Miku Diva X Musynx Deemo Senran Kagura: Bon Apetite Sound Shapes

You can have improved frame rates, save battery life, emulate retro games (NES, MD, & TG-16 are pretty much perfect), access the PSP's XMB, connect a DualShock 4, store all your games on a sd card, and so much more.
still have/play it?
@@Gloryboyquan Yeah man. Still finding new stuff to play on it.
Watching from the philippines, one of my favorite retro game reviews and videos to watch with my friends, metal jesus, always entertaining to watch! Keep it up sir ur the best! Happy new year!!
Wow, thanks!
Absolutely love seeing people who have embraced the Vita like I have. You have an amazing collection and I cannot wait to see what games you add in the future. I’m currently collecting a full Aus Vita collection which is currently sitting at around 60 titles with unfortunately so many of the more expensive ones still to go
Your ps vita videos are the reason I bought a vita 7 years ago. Thank you Metal Jesus!!
The Vita turns 10 this month, still have my launch unit, and absolutely love it to this day.
Only own 6 physical games:
Odin Sphere
Dragons Crown
Borderlands 2
Gravity Rush
Freedom Wars
Final Fantasy X
I’m 225 physical titles into my collection and still hunting! Love the Vita!
Even though PS VITA is failed and underrated but there's still good points from this system:
- Although some PS VITA games have increased in price, there are also some great games that can still be purchased at low prices, for example NFS Most Wanted, Uncharted Golden Abbys, Killzone Mercenary, and Unit 13.
- The owner and community of this system are very friendly, you can see the community activities at r/vita on Reddit.
- This console build like a tank lol
- Hacking and the homebrew community keep this console alive and well because Vita means life.
I bought my Vita Day One. I loved it. Freedom Wars was one of my favorites. I bought the YS Memories of Celcetta special edition. It's my only one for it. Great video.
MJR & Reggie got me into the Vita and it's become my favorite handheld of all time! Nintendo Switch is great, but Vita was first, and having the ability to play PS1 games in your hands is 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed. The switch is cool in theory but the design needs some work and it's too big for my liking.
Love my vita, have about 120 games and counting, as well as both the OLED and slim models. It was so ahead of its time and it will always be my favorite handheld of all time.
You're missing Deadbolt and Risk of Rain, sooooo addicting and satisfying. Hard as nails but rewarding. Get them !!
So strange I started watching your older vita games and boom. A new vita video! Fixed up & Hacked my vita last year and still love it to death
I got my vita this year and turned it into my visual novel and rpg machine. Your video helped me put a few more games into my wishlist
Great Vid as always MJR!
im buying the last vita in my country!
PS Vita does have range , love your collection MJR 🔥
This video has great timing. I purchased a Vita along with a few games and they're arriving today.
Excellent! Have fun!
A PS Vita 2 would be great but I don't think it will happen.
I went all out on the psp because I didn't get one until like 2 years ago, and most of the games are cheap. I bought a vita around the same time, but most of the games are either also available on the PS4, or insanely overpriced.
Get a Vita 👍🏻
I had no idea this thing even existed until I started watching video game dudes like you on UA-cam
Probably the best gaming handheld ever made.
Love the vita. One of my most favorite systems of all time. I still play it a lot, just hard to find games for it in my area.
Mod It Bro Trust Me
Your videos are the best mjr.. i feel so happy watching and rewatching them many times. Has been really enjoyable for many years. I still have my official MJR coin too! Please never stop!
Still collect for the Vita today. I always see games I've never heard off. Great collection and video! :)
I've been playing Megaman Legends on vita lately. You can make the controls function so much better with the custom controls.
With how much you love old pc adventure games, I'm completely shook that you don't like games like Danganronpa or The Nonary Games. Love the videos, as always 🤘🏼
Didn't own a Vita (only PSP) but I'm glad to see you and other people still putting some love on the system.
No better feeling that finishing work on a Friday and seeing a metal Jesus upload waiting on your UA-cam subscriptions
I'm happy with my small collection for Vita. I also think it's the best way to play PSP titles.
I just got a vita off Facebook but it's impossible to get games. Everyone wants like $70 for any game.
So conflicted about this console! I bought a huge amount of physical copies for the console when it was in its prime and left them sealed until I could play them…Which of course means many are still sealed. Now it makes little sense to open and play then with their values having gone WAY up. Thanks for the great video!
Amazing! Thank you so much for paying some attention to this awesome little hand held!
The PS Vita is such an interesting system but the prices are wild!
Very solid collection Jason!
I love your passion for the Vita dude ☺️
@@ElectricArtist Why? Lol
I have a much smaller Vita Collection with only 45 physical games all complete with 4 or 5 valued in the $50 range. I don't play my Vitas often but still love having them around and enjoy it when I do.
Amazing , loved your channel since your psp games collection videos!
Love the video MJR! I do recommend finding and playing Sly 4: Thieves in Time if you ever find it :)
That's a nice collection, Vita games are hard to come by these days, even the not so good ones.
That's an amazing collection, and what a great console the PS Vita still is!
Brilliant! Thank you for the video. I'm just getting into the Vita now and am super excited. Wallet hurt, but excited!
PS Vita is the dreamcast of handheld consoles soo underrated
I recently got a vita as I never picked one up when it was new and so far I really enjoy the system
Wow what a great collection you have! Thanks for the insight.
I got a sealed copy of breach and clear for 250€ last year... I guess I was lucky with that when I look at the prices now.
And also Big Love to Horizon Chase Turbo. This game is just awesome.
Nice starter collection. I’ve been collecting for Vita since it first came out. I’m at 300 games so far. Most of them being virtual novels!
Metal Jesus is the hand held king.
Thank you for your great videos once again.
Finally! Give the public what they want!!!!
All praise Metal Jesus rocks and the Veneration of the PS Vita!
Awesome!!! Thanks for showing your collection! Cool Trails of Cold Steel special edition!
I'll never forget being blown away at seeing Marvel vs Capcom 3 running at full speed on it.
And I thought my 60+ vita games was a lot.
Awesome collection!
I also happen to have one Limited Run game that I bought second hand, nr 100 :)
I haven't played all my phydicals yet, but I really liked Aegis of Earth and the Sly Cooper collection.
Too bad that Vita online is getting torn down piece by piece by Sony. I would love to play Soul Sacrifice online, for example.
The most expensive games I own are probably Axiom Verge Multiverse Edition, which retails for €70,- and Dragon's Crown, which goes for around €100,-
Don't worry about how many games other collectors have. Just enjoy your collection and watching it grow.
I recommend the Little Deviants. IMHO one of the best games on Vita. The game use the front and the back touch panel, gyroscope, camera. Cute graphic, challenging gameplay.
If you like that maybe check out Frobisher Says
i have over 200 PSVita Games, 20% of my collection are Japanese RPGs or beat em up games that never came out in america and the community made patches from the digital releases, games like Zenki Zero, Berserk, or trails in the sky series of games.
Some of my favorites:
DjMax Techinika Tune
Superbeat Xonic
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Persona 4: Dancing All Night
Hatsune Miku f2nd
Hatsune Miku Diva X
Musynx
Deemo
Senran Kagura: Bon Apetite
Sound Shapes
You should look into importing some too. IA/VT Colorful is great. There's also Miracle Girls, and the Taiko games.
Killzone Mercenary is one of the greatest first person shooters
Love the PS Vita... 🤗, Great video & collection 👍
I just purchased my first PS Vita cannot wait to get it!!
Pretty impressive, I tried to buy as many Vita games as I could that interested me and only got around thirty. Didn’t think they released that many.
