- Be100 in hbe. As saturated as it can get.
Friedman is amp a.
Friedman BE100 Deluxe. Marshall JCM 900 mk3 2100 stock. Through a Friedman 4x12 with greenback and v30 speakers. Using a radial amp switcher.
I’m impressed by how that cabinet makes the Marshall sound better great demo
Surprised at the level of background noise from the Friedman. Well done man.
Reveals exactly my experience:
Friedman is smoother with that melting/liquid feel to it.
Marshall is brighter, more aggressive.
I like Marshalls better :-) Although i really like the Friedmans too :D
I liked amp A more, sounded more livelier & organic, with more clarity.
Sorry but there's no competition to me, the BE-100 hands down. I'll happily pay more for quality. I love all my Friedman amps though. The only Marshall that comes close are the HW plexi's IMO.
I'll happily save 2-3K and invest it whilst getting 98% the same sound from the Marshall, which has made way more hits than Freidman could ever hope for
You are saying that because you invested to much money into Friedman. I own 2 Friedman amps myself and there are long amps that sound just as good for half the price.
@@shred9080 LOL so I'm supposed to say it without having owned any? I own close to 30 amps. At the end of the day it's all opinion/preference.
Sometimes a 2% difference makes all the difference in the world.
Also, the BE100DLX sounds amazing at bedroom and low volumes, has the best effects loop in the market, a plexi channel capable of beautiful cleans and crunch tones and more verdatility than the JCM900.
Yeah, it's much more expensive, but worth it in the long run.

i dont hear a huge difference. how is it feel wise in the room?
certainly not near 3k difference. jcm900s in uk are dirt cheap
Is the JCM 900 2100 mk3 cheap? If so buy them all. The other 900s are not so good.
@@cap217cap217 ive saw a few 900 mk 3 heads approx 700pounds dirt cheap compared to a friedman. used 900 slx 500 pounds or less marshall amps are really reasonably priced in the uk as they are made here and there are marshalls everywhere.
@@markpenney46 500 is about 700 usd. An SLX here will sell for 900-1200 and list for more. The SLX are impossible to find. You may see 1 every few months for sale. I suggest buying them and selling them in the us market.
@@cap217cap217 same as mesa over here, insanely expensive ! like 1300 for a 4x12. also hard to find , uk hasnt got the market really anymore for big amps and cabs. where i live in northern ireland theres no store would even hardly stock anything valve, small combos and line 6 helix thats about it. all my gear is imported. my uberschall from france, rev f triple from denmark. its just shit here for anyone like me.
I bought a 100 watt SLX 5881 for 550€ 6 weeks ago.
A steal for this kind of amp IMO (but thats the typical price on the used market in Germany right now)
