I own this amp and its amazing. Ive looked at every demo video on youtube and this is the best one at showing what each switch and knob do. Keep it up, this channel will be huge! Saludos desde Florida!
I know what you are saying about the switches…right now I own a Small Box 50 and they sound similiar…spectacular!…so the BE50 should be the same situation
A few years ago I was trying to decide between a jvmhjs marshall or the BE, this before this newer BE. I remember playing the BE in a store and found it to disappoint me, it felt pretty dark and also notnagrresive, kinda too smooth and compressed I guess . But sometimes I find the jvm to be almost too raspy, lol. I love it but sometimes that why I almost prefer my blackstars that have a bright and tight sound to them without as much extra gain . I alway figures brighter means more cut So a darker amp didn’t make sense to me . Especially to avoid interfering with vocals or bass in the low mids . But Iv heard Friedman’s on some videos compared to other more aggressive sounding amps and the Friedman’s tend to cut almost better and cleaner . I read someone say when an amp has more odd order harmonics it sounds more aggressive and harsh (like a soldano or Marshall ) but if it’s too much it distorts the fundamental of the note and makes it harder to hear what you’re playing . So what I in instinctively like, that rasp of a marshall or other amps like soldano, is also what can make a guitar sound less focused and get lost . So oddly the Friedman although darker may cut better . It doesn’t sound as harsh or aggressive , usually Friedman’s sound more polished , and it makes me wonder if they infact have less odd order harmonics and more even order harmonics , which is why they don’t sound so hairy and raspy compared to some marshalls or soldanos. I can’t say Iv had any noticeable issues cutting in a mix but I also am an only guitarist in a band setting . The problem also is I don’t hear Friedman’s in a mix with singers. Usually you see videos of people testing out sounds in a mix and they almost always leave out the vocals. My issue is how much of the lows are really kept anyways . If you cut out lows and don’t have tons of high end harmonics the sound may be too thin? Idk. I always want a more articulate amp. Actually I like the Marshall sv20h Iv heard . Sounds tight and still enough gain for most things . Too bad I can’t try a friedman . Guitar centers and Sam ashes don’t tend to have this level of item in stock . Friedman’s are also wildly expensive
Sweet demo and playing! So which one do you prefer? BE100DLX, BE50DLX, or Runt 50? The Runt sounds like it can hang with the other 2 no problem, but how inferior is it really?
Thanks man!...the Runt can Hang along side both of the others!...the runt sounds a little more aggressive ( thinner if you will ) but has body and size...it is awesome and its simplicity it’s great...but the 100Dlx...it’s just a beast!...nothing can touch it...
I always thought the original BE was brighter in its nature. The original BE being darker and the SS100 being even darker i cant imagine.. but i never played the BE100DLX only the regular and the SS100. The SS100 is the most vintage and closer to a 69' spec SLP like without having to crank the master and the best 100w head with ability to clean up with guitar vol. Im very interested in comparing this with the SLP. The BEs are more 70s Marshalls.
They can be bright enough!...all of them...compared to marshalls they are darker but nicier... I don’t know!!...I just love this amps!...they really can be whatever you want!
Hi man great video!!! Do you think that the Be 100 Dlx is an amp with a pronounced midrange or its more into scooped range? I'm asking because from the video it seems to have a good amount of mids (which I love) but I'm not sure of it. Does the eq knobs have a good excursions in cutting or boosting each frequency? Thank you for the reply 👍👍👍
Oh man!…this amp can be what ever you want!…lots of mids if that’s your tune!….tons of Cut…huge bottom if you want!…all in the “British” line…can be smooth or raw…so nice!…you can Scoop also…an Gain for days…thanks man!…
Hi Gonza - Is it possible to get a really high headroom clean sound from the BE100DLX, almost like a fender response if you keep the gain very low and channel volume high? Or, do you think that it can't achieve that super clean sound?
Gonza! Hope you're well bro! Question. Is the BE channel the same on the BE100deluxe and BE50deluxe? You said the HBE channels are different? How different? Muchas gracias!
I understand the are the same, but in the 100 the HBE it's a little harier...it has a little more presence...on the 50 both channels sound same, except the gain...this was Dave Told me!
I bought the Friedman BE 50 Deluxe
Nice playing with much Respect from Australia.
Nice!!...that’s an amazing amp!!!...thanks man!!

I've had mine for 6 months and am still discovering new sounds. Love it.
Sure thing!..,I can’t decide my favorite setting yet !
Man I love these friedman videos! Always a good day when you upload 1 of these
Awesome dude!!!...enjoy it!!...cheers!...
This is the tone I've been chasing, this exact tone... Good loooooooooooooooord..
You and me man!!
Im ver happy with my BE50 DLX.. I imagine the difference is very insignificant
I only wish all the dip switches were on the front panel
I know what you are saying about the switches…right now I own a Small Box 50 and they sound similiar…spectacular!…so the BE50 should be the same situation
Great demonstration! big fan of your playing!
Thanks man!!!...
Thanks for the review my friend. You are doing great work.

Good analysis but they can sound more trebly of you want!..they have a huge range!
Hi Gonza when will the Plexi vs BE100 Dlx video be out ? Waiting for it 😄
That would be nice!!!…I haven’t have much time…although I know what are the differences so it would be very straight forward
Excellent review! Thanks.
Wondering if you've tried the Diezel VH2 and how it would compliment the BE100D?
I’ve never had!…only modeling stuff…Very Fat…more modern compressed sound…nice but different at least on the digital realm!…thanks!

@@GonzaCordo i also think the ss100 can get plenty bright. Yes they are very tweakable and i like your tone always
Thanks Armin!...Cheers!...
Great sound man ! Are you micing a cab in this video ?
Thanks man…yes mics…old school…57 and 421 on Celestion 77’ black backs

You can!…it can be super clean if you need to…and if you scoop your mids you could get Fendery Type sounds…

If have one at the Dealer’s store soon ( or any other ) I’ll do comparison!...if Covid Wants!
@@GonzaCordo Oye! Gonza that would be FANTASTIC! Of course...if covid wants! I hope so!
Are you going into that Suhr load box or do you have a cab mic’d up?
Cab…4x12 with 76’ Black backs…really magic speakers
@@GonzaCordo Well however it’s mic’d up sounds awesome
Thanks man!
He should put a noise gate on his amps! Geez!
No need!…
@@GonzaCordo That hiss would drive me crazy. Engl put a great noise gate on their amps, it works perfectly. All you will ever hear is your playing.
I get that but I wouldn’t be able to clean up with my volume knob…if it’s straight riffing I put my Decimator…
Damn. 6 and 1/2 minutes of talking.
I know man!!!....I never do that again!!!...😂😂
@@GonzaCordo Sometimes you have to.. This was necessary to show all the features. I love your channel, man!
I know!...a necessary evil!
