Great video, I would prefer no background music. Foods that give me inflammation in the joints are diary, tuna fish, wheat bread and calcium or a lot of protein like when I eat a can of tuna fish, the joints in my fingers get swollen.

Today in full remission after almost 4 yrs, I had a severe flare up after a very stressful experience, almost died, went into hospital. Now, after 4 months of chemo, that caused lots of secondary effects, no meds since 2020, I now only avoid gluten, and just a bit of sugar occasionally. My life style quite healthy, exercise 2 hrs a day Monday to Monday. I’m a natural health practitioner and nutrition consultant, and appreciate you say it as it is‼️

I have been having allergic reaction as of a spring flu all my life, everyone around me kept telling me that nothing is wrong with its just a psychological thing I have. But I knew that something was up, and by the time I was 21 I had so much pain in my gut and my allergy was going crazy. No doctor put a finger on it and all they told me was me having high antibody levels (IgE)which shows I have an allergy (I was also having some discomfort in my spine and my elbow &Knee joints) Then I've done a search from books and I cut some food, I felt healthy and no flares for a year, but then somehow I couldn't resist to some food and got all the reaction twice as much. Now for the first time in my life, I saw my knees swollen and my gut hurts a lot, I dont go to toilet for number 2 for days and I feel down all the time. So its probably time for me to start eating clean back again and make it a lifestyle, not a big deal but the real problem is that my family and my relatives are telling me I'm making a big deal out of this its just a thing I have in my mind and I should eat everything just as they do (they have health problems too, crazy) Hard to explain, I'm a molecular biologist and they refuse to think that I know something they dont. I found that my immune system is especially sensitive to the first meal of the day (breakfast) which is when your gut is empty of food, esp. if you are sensitive to gluten and eat cereal or pancakes/muffins/waffles/toast for breakfast. Some people feel better if fasting from 8pm to midday and then have a big lunch because whatever 'bad' food you eat in your lunch will be diluted by the other foods. The AIP diet plan should be done by all AI patients to find out if you are sensitive to any foods. It takes 4-8 weeks for the first stage (cutting out all 'bad' foods) - if you feel much better, you can continue with the diet but then start stage 2 which is to slowly re-introduce a bad food each week to try to find out which ones cause flares. Flares are caused by eating/drinking something which triggers your immune system, it's not about eating 'good' food, it is about avoiding 'bad' food. 'Bad' food may trigger your immune system or may exacerbate a leaky gut and indirectly stimulate your immune system by allowing substances through your gut wall - but either way, it can cause flares and joint pain.
I suffer from hormonal acne and inflammation and noticed , all the foods you mentioned, i have been avoiding and started taking supplements and my acne has been clearing up. Most of all my body is feeling so much better
I have RA and I'm still trying to find exactly which foods cause flares, but going on AIP diet definitely helped, so I know I need to make some permanent changes to stay healthy. Thank you so much for starting this channel!
To help minimize salt, I add a little lemon juice to my food. For some reason, it naturally enhances the salt flavor already in my food. I add it to soups, salad dressing, vegetables, etc. I avoid meat except for a grilled steak every once in a while. I know, but thats about the only meat I eat. So I dont add it to my steak. But the lemon juice was suggested by my husbands doctor and it really works for us.
Thank you for your knowledge and time that you share. Even as a nurse of 30 years, nutrition wasn't taught or touched on much at all. Back then, a 6 week self study course with a test that we were given answers too. Things have changed over 30 years. Definitely feel like a novice for nutrition especially with autoimmune conditions.
The problems eating bread is that in America they process wheat by using roundup. The herbicide quickens the harvesting period. The herbicide also gives you a risk of getting cancer. Lymphoma. The problem is these large companies making these foods for us, so that they can sit on shelves and last for quite some time. If we went back to locally sourced foods and fresh foods. I’m sure we would have less issues with our health. It’s crazy to me, because typically diabetes is thought of as an overweight disease, but I noticed that more normal body type people are getting diabetes. Once you go down that road, everything else is haywire. It’s crazy to me that these large companies employ chemist that find the additive or the perfect ratio of sugar/salt/flavoring, so that we can be addicted to food. They are no different than the cartels pushing street drugs. The only difference is the legality of what they are pushing. The food and drug administration have companies that synthesize street drugs, and allow them for sale. It’s crazy how big of a racket everything is. But we keep prescribing in people keep taking. They feed us tainted food and drugs. And then they also sell a cure for it. 😑
That stuff is one of the nastiest there is and used widely here where I live as well. It’s hardly surprising why so many ppl get sick. Time to take responsibility for our own health and well being. Self sufficiency as well as communal, sufficiency I feel is the way to go. Small steps.. and vlogs like these help put it all out there. ‘Awareness’ is what most ppl lack until, something occurs to their health & they begin their search. I read somewhere we have to be the change we want to see. There’s a song I’m reminded of.. “for united we stand..” Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
I have heard (on UA-cam, not from people I know) that some people can eat bread in Europe, thinking they no longer have gluten intolerance and return to the US to find that they can only tolerate bread in Europe. Turns out it’s the herbicide used that’s different. Also I think in the US we use potassium bromate and Europeans don’t. So that’s another difference. People who are sensitive and make home made bread would be able to tell better.
Great info! Sea salt and Himalayan salt have minerals and are needed along with magnesium and potassium. That could be a good vlog for all of us. We need to understand that processed foods don’t usually use good salts…
From what I've read, Himalyan salt has higher amounts of minerals like Magnesium, Iron, Potassium, etc. than regular table salt, but the amount is so little you would have to eat POUNDS of them to get the daily recommended amount. If you lack those minerals, it makes more sense to take supplements of them. If you don't lack them, then you are paying more money for something you don't need. Technically, can you say Himalyan salt is "better". Yes, but it's mostly a marketing talking point than an actual health benefit that makes any difference.
@@onespeedliteA great presentation! I do have some thoughts that I want to throw in as my two cents.. * "Normal" table salt often is bleached and may contain a drying agent like aluminum silicate. You don't want this. A good thing is the added iodine, as many people are deficient in this. There are other ways to get your iodine, like in sea food, Kelp tablets (a sea weed), or a low concentration Lugols' solution. Himalaya and Redmond salts are free of added chemicals, but also are very low in iodine. * Talking about salt: animals in the wild walk miles extra to get it. Farmers in my country have blocks of salt for their cattle and their is no sign with it too warn them for overconsuming it. Salary comes from the Latin word salarium, which also means "salary" and has the root sal, or "salt." In ancient Rome, it specifically meant the amount of money allotted to a Roman soldier to buy salt, which was an expensive but essential commodity. If your kidneys are working normal, make sure that you get enough salt. It hardly increases blood pressure. Too little salt will make your heart beat faster than healthy and may cause "rubber" legs. * Fried food is unhealthy, but also seed oils and margarine. They contain mostly Omega6 fats and little omega3. You need Omega6, but it is inflammatory also. I threw out sunflower-, rape seed-, cottonseed, soy oils years ago. Good are virgin olive oil, coconut and avocado oil. Saturated fats have a bad name, but they are completely harmless. Grass fed butter but also lard and other animal fats and red meat are safe. We evolved on them from hominids to humans for two million years.
I just watched this video where you addressed some of my questions (thank you!). I don't have a very good external symptom body barometer for foods I should or should not eat...or I'm not recognizing the ones being given to me. For instance, you mention gluten sensitivity or dairy sensitivity - I don't seem to have either, but my GI physician has convinced me to steer as much away from dairy as I can manage based on (UC, moderate-to-severe) colonoscopy results. My UC symptoms are managed with medication - at present, Stelara is the new one I just started on. The other symptom we have been able to improve is numbing in my feet (the bottom soles) where my PCP advised I get foot pads (totally not helpful) and my GI doc hypothesized my gut was leaking electrolytes. I began drinking (I found Pedialyte makes a no-sugar) electrolytes, which definitely improved my foot sensations. However, My PCP doc has warned me not to overdo the electrolytes, watching toxicity. I'm still trying to find the "best dose" of electrolytes as neither doctor has given me a good guideline since "leaking electrolytes" doesn't seem to be provable medically with a test. My GI doc was able to advise me to begin adding table salt to my foods since I was at the bottom of the scale - he warned me that to go lower was to risk seizures. (Side note: I was sent to a Urologist to check my kidneys - all seems well there. The Urologist did put me on Estradiol (a woman's hormone) for a couple of months (which also improved my energy). From what I can read, Estradiol helps relieve the adrenal gland? Perhaps you could go into the relationships between salt and the adrenal gland/hormone system in a future video? How much of this is common to immune system disorders?) While the Pedialyte helped restore some needed electrolytes, and improve foot sensation (go figure), my foot numbness is still not fully cleared up, but the sensation/numbness comes and goes. Something else that is undefined is contributing. I have occasional really annoying pain in the plantar nerve of the left foot leading to the left go (bottom of the foot for readers). This is so weird, what are your thoughts on what to consider further? Are there foods that can help with nerve function? I have for years avoided fried foods to keep my weight down, watched my sugar in moderation, and avoided what you describe as highly processed foods. I'll have to think about your definition of processed foods (I enjoy canned peaches, but it is hard to find them packed in water so I buy the ones in juice. Should I rinse them off and throw away the juice?). I also recently switched to eating soy vanilla yogurt instead of ice cream. Is Stevia a problem? I add that as a sweetener instead of sugar to my tea. Thanks in advance. I hope I've given you more topics for future videos.
These are foods that cause more pain after eating: rice and corn. I love rice, but cannot have it. Thanks for your great videos. You really help those, like me, who are upset and discouraged having autoimmune.
This is great information as I am on my journey of reducing inflammation with my osteoarthritis. Yes, sugar is so addictive. This is the hardest for me. My body really feels the bad effects after a day of eating the wrong things. Thank you for providing us with your knowledge.
Would you tell me your view on lectins? I've been told I have Shogren's, btw. Also, do you recommend a recipe book for people with autoimmune? Thank you for your videos.
I had baked salmon today. 1# fresh salmon, brush with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Squeeze on fresh lemon juice. It was really good!
Thanks! It’s great that you’re emphasizing diet! I also watch Dr. John McDoughal and have followed the Gerson Therapy dietary recommendations but not the full program. You will be, in my opinion, a much better doctor, because you have looked into the relationship between diet and disease! My downfalls are sugar, gluten and dairy!
pick a bone char free vegan sugar and quit salt, because real cane sugar only does not cause issue, but some refine sugar put bone char or some kind of whitening staff in it.
If you have autoimmune disease you should avoid gluten as it can also cause other problems. Highly recommend reading Medical Medium books, they talk about why we should avoid gluten and what is does to our bodies.
I am so glad I happened upon your channel. Very helpful information and I really appreciate the fact that you are speaking from personal experience as well as from your professional studies. I also like the calm and easy going way you present the info. I have psoriatic arthritis and find that wheat, dairy and emotional stress cause my flares more than anything else. I also am a 33 year survivor of Stage IV Hodgkin's, therefore, I have chosen to NOT take any meds for the PsA...other than Tylenol and an occasional Advil because of the potential side effects of those "big gun" meds . So, I am extremely interested in your info about treating these autoimmune diseases in a "natural" way. Thank you for sharing!!
I kind of knew some of these foods were not nutritional but like you stated they taste so good. I’m currently experiencing stiffness, knee and ankle pain as well as sporadic tingling in feet. I want to improve my diet and see some positive effects. Your videos are very informative and I will continue to watch.
Everyone is different, different blood types too. I'm O positive. I fast 16/8. I can't eat certain foods as a result. Don't eat processed foods, or drink alcohol, or eat sugar.
Thank you! I hardly ever have a flare anymore, with being on Xejanz, for my RA. I mainly hurt from what I do every day. With overusing my hands with gardening or painting, etc. I have to take good breaks.
I randomly came across your channel and it seems like a blessing. Thanknu so much for all the scientific insights that are so relatable. Lots of love n regards from India. ❤❤
Thank you for that! I just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 56. My doctor said there’s no way out but to take medication for life! If I don’t want my fingers to crawl up! I’m scared but I really want to try plant base food.
My onset of RA was at age 34 and I’m now 56. It took me a few years to find the right medication for me. I take 50 mg injectable just once a month. I have been in remission for about 20 years. I still take my med but I have no flare ups. Yes, medication sadly is the best way to go. I did read a book by Dr, Amy Myers, The Autoimmune Solution and she claims that if you tame the toxins and eat all organic and avoid the bad foods, you can cure yourself, Highly restrictive diet though,.
Having a horrible gut flareup. Used to eat well & take good care of my self, but last several months went through TRAUMA...fell off the wagon BAD. I'm now paying for it. 😞 Ready to Try Again. 👍🏼
I can totally live with this.... I love how you say occasionally when socializing, but don't bring it into the home. I've been told by several Drs that I have severe inflammation. The advice ranges and sometimes conflicts. Go vegan. Try Mediterranean. Try keto. I, instead, claim this as my own journey in 2024 to find what brings healing to my body, and also helps me lose up to half my body weight over the next five years. I have no logical reason for the change in my metabolism that doubled my weight over 25 years. Diets don't help. If the inflammation recedes, maybe that will work. Thank you.
I have no thyroid. It can have a bearing on yr weight. Cut out carbs and sugar, most dairy especially cows and fast from say 7pm to 9am next morning. It works!!!!
Thanks for this great video! I also really appreciate your take on gluten. I recognize that it can be beneficial for individuals to avoid it, but as far as I know, science does not support this claim for everybody.
Great video. I recommend researching healthy salt like Celtic salt with all the proper trace minerals we need and have your patients throw out their regular table salt like Morton’s. Also dairy and beef can be very good for autoimmune diseased people but it has to be grass-fed and organic whenever possible. There is lots of research to support this, if you so care to look for them. My husband has a severe rheumatoid arthritis and is controlling thru diet and my daughter has life threatening Takayasu Arteritis. She is living heathy and pain free in a carnivore diet without inflammation. But it’s all grassfed and organic. I believe this is a vital part to diet and getting healthy and healed.
Never say I have rheumatoid arthritis your words are so powerful say the rheumatoid arthritis not I have or my rheumatoid arthritis never speak a disease or disorder into your body or take it on as your personal part of your body✌️❤️🙏
I find your channel so helpful and enjoy hearing your story. What works for you and the nutrition. I've not yet head you discuss exercise or whether you've found supplements helpful. Before making an appointment with a Rheumatologist, what test(s) should one have in you opinion? Thank you!
Great video, finally a common sense approach to food. I’m sick of so called doctors bagging beans, seeds, nuts, certain fruits , yet make no mention of ultra processed foods. If people with metabolic issues gave up ultra processed foods for whole foods (be it meat, nuts, beans, fruit), there would be no obesity and health crisis!
Thank you for your videos. I am learning more about this condition. I am not sure what causes my flare ups. I am currently off wheat, but still have issues. I would prefer not to take methotrexate, but with the pain coming back more in different body parts I am now considering it. The worst part is when everything is so swollen up. I could no longer bend my knee it was so bad. After an injection it gradually went down 4 inches but is still swollen. I am not sure how to work out what is causing the inflammation. I have stopped the sugary treats (pastries), and bread. But have not noticed any change. Fried foods might be an issue, as I tend to have fried mushrooms for breakfast.
I have lupus. Grain bread makes my stomach feel sick but I have GERD as well and R.A. I recently - almost a year now 🎉have cut a lot of the food mentioned here. Soda was a big one for me,lol! Haven't drank soda for about 6 mos now 😅
God Bless Alll Of Y’all. Locally grown Organic Veggies, Fruits, Nuts, Seeds other than that can expect disease. Yes, seeds are controversial. I grew up this way w grandma that has lived through the depression era. It’s easier for me However not my mother & sunny. Go figure. I’m not perfect. I’m coaching tho. Keep the Faith🙏
Dr. Yu, You misspoke @7:50 and meant to say that the USDA recommends a MAXIMUM, rather than a minimum of one teaspoon/day or 2,300mg/day of sodium. You may want to add a correction overlay during that section for viewers who don't realize this.
Question You spoke of Salt I have learned there are different types such as Celtic Salt and Black Salt also Himalayan natural pink salt. Can you please speak about the salt that have a lot of minerals in time versus white table salt thank you and I love you videos.
Thank you! I get worse when I eat fried foods, sugar and processed gluten. I also react bad on a diet like Atkins. I eat plant based and use vit d, e, k, b-complex, magnesium, amino acids, boron and green lip mussel. I am doing fine now.
I just subscribed. Thank you for your videos. I have RA and manage it naturally. What do you recommend to satisfy a sweet tooth? This happens to me at night :)
Hello doctor, really great videos. I have a question about quality cold. Press olive oil. Is that good for your body? I listen to a Cardiologist who says that we should be consuming between one and two tablespoons daily for a good health. How do you feel about that?
Ive just been diagonised with artritis in my knees , All i eat is fruit vegetables , smoothie now i snack on olives and bannah . Losing weight well for me and diet changes
Thank you for your very informative video. Your informatoon is clear, simple and easy to understand. Although it's difficult to give up these foods, bring inactive and in psin is dufficult as well. Eliminating these things little by little is doing able and easier than going fold turkey 100%. I appreciate your nutritional teaching. Thank youaldo congratulations on your acheivement. Thank you for being so honest in showing that you too are tempted by foods that nutritionists would not approve of.😊😊😊😊😊
Can you do a video on why people get autoimmune disease like RA, PsA etc. This video implies that diet directly causes immune diseases and flares. I’m not sure there is always a direct correlation. There are so many variables.
Yes there are lots of variables. Diet is one of them and there are a lot of articles discussing food contributing to inflammation. Also look up pubmed articles on various autoimmune diseases and diet. It's on there. I will do a video on why people get autoimmune diseases
I think it has to do with the permeability of your colon when it becomes dysfunctional. Elements in your colon permeates the colon wall and get into your bloodstream where your pathogen defense system gets activated. Inflammatory foods, as discussed in this video, causes fissures in the colon walls. Dr Ruscio discusses it well in his youtube channel
i try to avoid glutten if possible but not fully cut it out of my diet. for example eating bread is still something i do. I do notice that if eat to much gluten multiple days in a row that air ways get filled up. drinking a couple beer actually make my nose a waterfall and i notice my stomach is not happy with me at all. but if i eat a couple slices of bread a day i don't really notice much of a issue
I wondering if my breast cancer hormonal treatment anastrozole, which is an aromatase inhibitor, cause me joints inflammation. All started when I get into this treatement, this year. A lot of stiffness in my fingers and pain and stiffness in my heels when I get up. Ultimately, when I sitted in crossed legged posture in yoga practices i felt pain in my knee goosefoot ... just when I get out from that asana, just left knee....looks like the enthesis inflammation you talked about in other video. What do you think, doc? It is probable? Thank you! 🙏
Not sure if this is addressed, I think it's the kind of oils that are being consumed in ultra processed and friend foods that are causing inflammation in addition to preservatives and other additions.
Just start following you. Thanks for all the educational info. I have diabetes and minimal arthritis and gout runs in our family, so sometimes my toe feels like a hammer pounding on it.
Here are 2 questions: where is the balance of salt intake if one has low blood pressure and anemia and is encouraged to add more salt to their diet? However, they may have other undiagnosed autoimmune conditions due to the 5-month wait to see a rheumatologist?
Can gluten be linked to acne? I have RA, but I also notice that I get acne when I eat more gluten (& possibly dairy). Also, do you have recommendations for RA fatigue? Really enjoy your channel, and thank you for this helpful content! 🙏🏻
Yes! Both gluten and dairy can interfere with hormones and cause breakouts. I had terrible acne til I removed those two now my skins is clear most of the time! I eat sprouted bread instead. And after I healed my gut I am now able to eat raw dairy (from careful and clean farmers!) and some organic dairy in moderation. Also goats milk is great too! Hope that helps!

Be strong for your own wellness!
Do it for yourself.
That is the worst part! Sick of watching people eat. Here in the south it seems all get togethers revolve around food! Bad for anyone food at that 🫤
Get rid of them, get rid of the pain 😂
Food groups to avoid
1. Ultra processed foods
2. Fried foods
3. Refined sugars
4. Dairy
5. Salt (in excess)
6. Processed meats
7. Gluten (certain types)
Thanks for sharing!

Which means something else is causing the pain.

That’s was good presentation thank you 🙏
Thanks for sharing
@@rreddingyup, not all salt and oil are created equal.
If I consume processed salt, I swell up... Redmond's Real Salt (Utah- USA) doesn't cause any swelling...
I have RA and my trigger is cold weather and humidity.
How much of this is common to immune system disorders?)
While the Pedialyte helped restore some needed electrolytes, and improve foot sensation (go figure), my foot numbness is still not fully cleared up, but the sensation/numbness comes and goes.
With my experience...soy..is inflammatory.
These are foods that cause more pain after eating: rice and corn. I love rice, but cannot have it. Thanks for your great videos. You really help those, like me, who are upset and discouraged having autoimmune.
You are so welcome!
For me white rice is okay than brown & wild rice.
I like this Dr. He is funny, kind, sincere, knowledgeable . Would you teach us sometimes how to cook tasty vegetarian meals?
Thank you Dr.
Great videos, (whisper)... is the background music distracting to anyone else?
Yes I think the content is great and might be more effective without the background music.
I don’t like the music either
Music needs to be lower if he’s going to use music in my opinion
Yes , I thought it was just me! I want to concentrate on his great message. First time listener.
I enjoy the background music.
This is great information as I am on my journey of reducing inflammation with my osteoarthritis. Yes, sugar is so addictive. This is the hardest for me. My body really feels the bad effects after a day of eating the wrong things. Thank you for providing us with your knowledge.
You are so welcome!
Doctor, our family will heed your most timely advice.
Thank you, once again.
auto immunine dieases generally due to chronic stress this is what ı discovered in my particular case which is gout and artiriths
So true! one factor is chronic stress
WOW, explains a lot. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
It was really good!
yay! thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
A good gut cleansing can do wonders
I kind of knew some of these foods were not nutritional but like you stated they taste so good. I’m currently experiencing stiffness, knee and ankle pain as well as sporadic tingling in feet. I want to improve my diet and see some positive effects. Your videos are very informative and I will continue to watch.
many RA doctors know nothing first hand about the pain of this condition! thank our Lord for your journey...
Everyone is different, different blood types too. I'm O positive. I fast 16/8. I can't eat certain foods as a result. Don't eat processed foods, or drink alcohol, or eat sugar.
Great tips! Thank you for sharing
Thank you SO, so much for your most interesting and highly informative video.
7:09 plant based yogurt? I didn't know they was such a thing. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks Dr Yu for sharing your personal experience.
You're welcome!
Thank you! I hardly ever have a flare anymore, with being on Xejanz, for my RA. I mainly hurt from what I do every day. With overusing my hands with gardening or painting, etc. I have to take good breaks.
Thanks for sharing!
I randomly came across your channel and it seems like a blessing. Thanknu so much for all the scientific insights that are so relatable.
Lots of love n regards from India. ❤❤

Thank you soo much doc, for motivating and sharing ur experience and specially fr suggestions.
you're so welcome!
Plant based could be good but avoid nightshade vegetables and only eat organic.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us
My pleasure
How about food that is high in Fodmap?
Having a horrible gut flareup. Used to eat well & take good care of my self, but last several months went through TRAUMA...fell off the wagon BAD. I'm now paying for it. 😞 Ready to Try Again. 👍🏼
What do you think about white rice???😮
Almond milk consider processed food?
Not if you make it yourself
I can totally live with this.... I love how you say occasionally when socializing, but don't bring it into the home. I've been told by several Drs that I have severe inflammation. The advice ranges and sometimes conflicts. Go vegan. Try Mediterranean. Try keto. I, instead, claim this as my own journey in 2024 to find what brings healing to my body, and also helps me lose up to half my body weight over the next five years. I have no logical reason for the change in my metabolism that doubled my weight over 25 years. Diets don't help. If the inflammation recedes, maybe that will work. Thank you.
I’d get your thyroid levels checked if it were me!
Is hiwalayan salt also ?
Thank you for all the information, very helpful. I have rheumatoid arthritis.
Glad it was helpful!
Never say I have rheumatoid arthritis your words are so powerful say the rheumatoid arthritis not I have or my rheumatoid arthritis never speak a disease or disorder into your body or take it on as your personal part of your body✌️❤️🙏

Will do! Lupus is actually the next video
@@MYAutoimmuneMD thank you so so so... much
Often leaky gut.
Informative. What do you think about low-sodium salt? Thank you very much.
Funny I didn’t even hear the music til some one said it but it’s very good just like your info
Hello, doctor! I want to ask if black coffee can cause a flare-up of autoimmune diseases.
I find your channel so helpful and enjoy hearing your story. What works for you and the nutrition. I've not yet head you discuss exercise or whether you've found supplements helpful. Before making an appointment with a Rheumatologist, what test(s) should one have in you opinion? Thank you!
Dairy in USA packed milk
Has preservatives to stabilize
Two stabilizers
Great video, finally a common sense approach to food. I’m sick of so called doctors bagging beans, seeds, nuts, certain fruits , yet make no mention of ultra processed foods. If people with metabolic issues gave up ultra processed foods for whole foods (be it meat, nuts, beans, fruit), there would be no obesity and health crisis!
Thanks for watching!
Love your content!!!thank you so much for your great contribution to humanity:)
You are so welcome!
Grilled food I would think is not a good choice but I still do once in a while
I have lupus.
Good for you!
Sure thing! thanks for watching..

What is your position on fruits and vegetables that contain high amounts of lectins and their contribution to an inflammatory response?
Thnks for d information, please how can you help me with my arthritis problems am from Nigeria.
Thank you! I get worse when I eat fried foods, sugar and processed gluten. I also react bad on a diet like Atkins. I eat plant based and use vit d, e, k, b-complex, magnesium, amino acids, boron and green lip mussel. I am doing fine now.

May I eat canned or tuna in pouches? I love seafood.
I would like to know if the blood type of an individual has anything to do with their success with a plant based diet for arthritis?
Is bread okay for inflammation? And is gluten free bread ultra processed? Is it better than sourdough or bread made yourself

Plant based yoghurt is very processed?
Can you do a video on why people get autoimmune disease like RA, PsA etc. This video implies that diet directly causes immune diseases and flares. I’m not sure there is always a direct correlation. There are so many variables.
Yes there are lots of variables. Diet is one of them and there are a lot of articles discussing food contributing to inflammation. Also look up pubmed articles on various autoimmune diseases and diet. It's on there. I will do a video on why people get autoimmune diseases
There are a lot of studies on pubmed that show how diet is one of many factors that lead to autoimmune diseases and flares.
VIRUSES can trigger autoimmune diseases. Which why it's good to avoid getting covid 19 repeatedly.
Can a surgery trigger RA? Mine started after a surgery and I started swelling.
Nicely explained
Thank you for all the information, it is very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
I have dehydration issues. I add Himilayan Pink salt to my electrolyte drink. Is this salt as bad for you as the others?
Great vid!!!
i try to avoid glutten if possible but not fully cut it out of my diet. for example eating bread is still something i do.
I do notice that if eat to much gluten multiple days in a row that air ways get filled up. drinking a couple beer actually make my nose a waterfall and i notice my stomach is not happy with me at all. but if i eat a couple slices of bread a day i don't really notice much of a issue
Eat sourdough because it is healthier on your gut. The fermentation in sourdough eats the gluten proteins.

I steer well clear of rice bran oil and canola oil which are both inexpensive and in many products. I read somewhere where they are carcinogenic

Here are 2 questions: where is the balance of salt intake if one has low blood pressure and anemia and is encouraged to add more salt to their diet? However, they may have other undiagnosed autoimmune conditions due to the 5-month wait to see a rheumatologist?
As regards the "background" music, I am too intrigued by the important content of this amazing video, to be aware of any "background" music.

Foods fried in seed oils. Animal fats are best and you can fry with them just mind your temps.
I meant to say frying food in seed oils ARE BAD.
