- I filmed this on day #23, of my 6 week adherence to the Goodbye Autoimmune Protocol, and I already felt the effects of this anti-inflammatory healing diet and lifestyle. As I explain, I am looking to reduce autoimmune markers and I am going 6 weeks or more with the strict Goodbye Lupus protocol, as well as lifestyle changes outlined in Goodbye Autoimmune Disease. I will share my journey with you as I prepare new recipes from Goodbye Lupus Hello Delicious, Dr. G.'s new cookbook. My Zucchini Noodles with Marinara Sauce that I had for dinner came from her book, as did everything else but the smoothie, which I took from a couple of her videos
So, what do I eat in a day, and how have I made this work for me? I hope that this video is helpful. Please let me know what YOU do that works for you.🌻🥰🌻

I cry every time I think of Alex too.😢
Hi Janet, it is so painful to even imagine what that family has gone through. She is the model of resilience, and of her deepest beliefs-those taught to her by her grandmother.🌻🥰🌻
Wow you don’t look 74 !!!!
Here it is in a nutshell from somebody has been on it for a year… this is called the goodbye lupus protocol. Once you have achieved healing for a period of time, you can progress your diet to include some cooked vegan food, but maintain the same amount of cruciferous, water, and flax seeds. That progression is called hyper nourishment protocol.
1) 100% raw vegan
2) your only fat source is going to come from flaxseeds, Chia seeds, flaxseed, oil, and avocados
3) minimum 1 pound of cruciferous vegetables per day. Not just greens. Spinach is OK. Cruciferous, vegetables include arugula, cauliflower, broccoli, watercress is kale, cabbage, etc. additionally, any other vegetables you like but that doesn’t count towards your 1 pound.
3) Full handful of flax seeds or Chia seeds per day ground on your salad, freshly or blended into your smoothie
4) Fruit is used to make the smoothies taste better, no more than 25% by weight
3) 120 ounces of water per day minimum
You can eat your cruciferous vegetables as salads or smoothies or any combination there of.
All the best to your healing!
For my first six weeks, I just did green smoothies. A powerful blender helps like a vitamix or a blendtec. I would make one pitcher full in the morning and one in the afternoon and drink throughout the day. I stuck to smoothies for the portability, the ease. By the end of six weeks my HSCRP was normal and my pain was gone. The remainder of the year I’ve incorporated a combination of salads and smoothies, but still haven’t progressed the diet to include grains, etc..
Thank you for such a great summation of the protocol. It is greatly appreciated!
@@judychancey5781 you’re very welcome!
I am drinking my green smoothie while watching your video. Love it❤ I add a carrot, some purple cabbage, sprouts, cilantro, turmeric and Lots and Lots of ginger.
Wow, Carol, that sounds delicious. Thank you for watching, and thank you for sharing!🌻🥰🌻
Thanks Nan. You are my inspiration! This video is very helpful. To your health , cheers!😊’
Hi Steph, thank you for watching, and I’m glad it was helpful. My best to you.🌻🥰🌻
Fantastic Nan!! Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you liked it Louis, thanks for writing Have a great day!
🌻🥰🌻
This day of eating was wonderful! I am half your age and you have inspired me with how beautiful you are and what you have to say. Poor sweet Alex, I cry when I hear or talk about him too.
What a sweet and wonderful comment. I appreciate that you took the time to connect Krina!🌻🥰🌻
This was an excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
So inspiring thanks Nan! 🎉🎉🎉 you’re extra glowing already
Hi Molly, thanks for watching and for your sweet comment!🌻🥰🌻
So cool! You ride! I tour around the country and show how I eat WFPE all along my way!
Hello Nan. I have a sincere honest question for you. Are you not concerned about all the oxalates that are in that green smoothie? Thank you.
That's a fair question. If you do a search on UA-cam for Dr Goldner/Oxalate, you'll be able to find videos of her addressing it :)
@@veganhoneycomb Yes I have watched that YT video. I also read the comments and soo many people are so sick from all the oxalates. Everyone has to follow their own path to health.
it would have been great if you could write out the recipe in your text above. there is a lot of extra chitty chat and some just want the recipe. thanks!
Well said.
I hear you about the Chitty chatter, although I will say that’s my style- to teach and train at every turn. In the description you will find a link to the video and recipe for the zucchini noodle & marinara dinner, and everything else was no more than 1 to 3 ingredients that I spelled out during the video. I’ll add that to the description. Thank you for taking the time to connect, and to share your thoughts.🌻🥰🌻
Thank you Nan! You’re an inspiration! 🥰
so great to listen to your story
Hi Nan - thanks for another great video and congrats on being 3 weeks into the protocol!! Looking forward to hearing of the many benefits... lab-wise or otherwise!! Quick question on the 1.5 lbs: if you ate mushrooms, would you count those as part of that?
You are doing amazing! I have Hashimotos and I also have her Goodbye Autoimmune Disease book. I like the recipes her and her husband have online. I pack in an entire 16oz of greens in my blender which is the family size container of leafy greens and then maybe like a cup or so of frozen fruit and half a cup of either chia seeds or whole flax seeds and add water and blend and I’m good. It’s not as sweet of course but it’s tolerable and I know I’m being nourished so I can eventually heal. New subscriber! I’d get my leafy veggies from Sam’s since I can get in bulk lol
Thanks for all you have shared with us. Can you tell me the name of the 32 oz cup you are using. I have arthritis in my habd that has gotten bad. My big cup I havebto pushbthe top off and hurts so much. I want to byynav screw top. I havevtomleave video right now. Still thinking of doing this. I have protein powder which I hate to give up. 😢
Love your videos !!💕
And I love hearing that Jaime, thank you!🌻🥰🌻
You look amazing beautiful and healthy ❤ thanks 😊 for all you videos love it 🙏
Can you share the smoothie recipe please 🙏
You think eliminating back arthritis is going to take more than 3 weeks? cuz I've had it for 15 years
If you don’t have an open mind to learn from experts like Dr. Goldner, you will have it the rest of your life. If you like to argue, argue with Dr. Goldner. Nan is gracious enough to share with us with the best of her knowledge. I appreciate all she shares with us.
I don’t know Tony. What I can say is that if you listen to her podcast, and the responses of her audience, it even surprises her to hear what can be accomplished with these anti-inflammatory protocols. it might be worth a try.🌻🥰🌻
Nan- finding this video quite inspiring. Please make more showing or explaining how you prepare these raw recipes. You are a great teacher!
thank you so much for that comment Jennifer! I will continue to share the recipes from the book. I appreciate your encouragement.🌻🥰🌻
@@stephko8312 I'm not arguing just asking a question
Drinking my green smoothie while watching, thank you Nan, fantastic & motivating video! Reminder for everyone to hit the like button and share, such great content!
Wow Kelly, I very much appreciate your vote of confidence and kind words! As I said going was the smartest thing I could’ve done to stop the advancing symptomology of my auto immune conditions, but Dr. Goldner protocol may be the holy Grail to finally kick them out of my body. She and Thomas have found the remedy that few doctors even believe is possible. We certainly have to get the word out, don’t we?! Thank you for connecting, keep watching, and please stay in touch.🌻🥰🌻
Hi Nan! Thanks for another generous video; I really like your conversational style and feel like we've just had a visit in your kitchen. You haven't asked for suggestions, but I'm wondering if a video about saunas could be in the future? You know - when you've got some spare time. 🤣
Hi Apple! I think I hear your name on the Wednesday Q&A.👏 thank you for connecting, and for your suggestion. I don’t know that I have that much to say about Sonos’s other than my own experience for these past four or five years. I have a Clearlight sauna by Jacuzzi, and use it nearly every day. I believe in the benefitsof hot and cold therapy, and therefore take a cold shower outside using a hose regardless of the weather I’m not sure how receptive are inspired. People would be by that. What do you think?
🌻🥰🌻
This video covers the salt. 👍
And if u use Braggs Aninos- you get salt there also.
Thanks! That dessert sounds yummy!!
Thanks for your comment, the dessert is so simple and yet such a nice treat🌻🥰🌻
Thanks Nan, this is so interesting can’t wait for updates. Thinking of getting the cookbook so I can start incorporating some raw foods into my diet.
Thank you for writing. Other than always eating massive salads, the raw food world is new to me as well. Even when I’m off the protocol I want to expand my knowledge and repertoire in it. 🌻🥰🌻
What was the inflammatory marker you mentioned ? I’ve been on DR G GAIP protocol for over a year 😊
Hi Tanya, thanks for asking. My SED rate (ESR). It should be well below 30, and since it was first measured in January 2019, it has been anywhere from 50 to over 80. Most likely because of my auto immune ions.- hashimoto’s as well as rheumatoid arthritis as evidenced by high antibodies. How have you done on the protocol?🌻🥰🌻
TY
Thank you, this has been so informative
I appreciate your comment, thanks for connecting!🌻🥰🌻
Can you do for fibromyalgia too!🙏
On her podcast that she sees good results with fibromyalgia for those who follow it strictly. My best to you.🌻🥰🌻
Love this video!
I’m so glad to hear thisKristin, thank you very much!🌻🥰🌻
Very informative and fun to watch the whole thing. Thank you! ❤
I’m so glad you shared that with me, I appreciate your load of confidence! 🌻🥰🌻
@@NanSimonsen As Dr Goldner says, results matter. And you're a thriving example of great results 🌅🙏
very nice of you to say that, thank you so much!🌻🥰🌻
