I saw Luther 7 times and I still owe him money because he was just that marvelous and gave his fans more than what we paid for. He was respectful towards his fans. He started his concerts on time. He was Mr. Showmanship. His background singers on stage and even those that were sitting on the stools as well as his band performed at height no one in the industry to date can touch.

Luther had the best background vocalists in the industry, either on stage or on record and the best thing about them is that they were just as much as part of the show as Luther was. I had the pleasure of seeing Luther twice in concert and will always cherish that memory. Luther's voice is beautiful and he sings effortless. Something none of these so call singers can do today. Thank you Luther for all the beautiful music you left us with. RIP Luther "Always and Forever."

Actually there were 2 sets of background singers to achieve a fuller sound without technology. These are the leads. The 2nd set sat with the orchestra and were rarely seen. All were dynamic and could hold their own. Luther demanded and only worked with the best.

Pure unfiltered raw talent, no auto tune,voicebox or computer generated bullshit,REAL musicians,real singers all in harmony and sync in other words the real deal and it's rare that we get a chance to witness greatness as such and i thank God i had the PRIVILEGE to see him live up close and personal and he sounded exactly like he did in the studio very few and i mean very few performers can even come close to perfection and sound just like the record they release for radio play especially live in concert but the late great Mr. Vandross did,just one of the things i miss about him
