    Lyrics:
    The time is right
    You hold me tight
    And love's got me high
    Please tell me, 'Yes'
    And don't say 'No'
    Honey, not tonight
Move a little close to me
    You owe it to yourself
    And I will selfishly
    Take a little for myself
    And it's because of you
That love won't let me wait

I saw Luther at Wembley arena back in the 1990's......never forget this, front row seats and at the end of the concert Luther looked down at me, I put two thumbs up to him and he did the same back......one of my life's greatest memories

I said it before and I'll say it again..................why singers dont have this dignity on the stage anymore? what a class, what a nice guy, what a beautiful black man and r&b singer, what a talent! so humble....so nice!
this man was one of a kind!
his talent was a gift to mankind!
bless him, bless teddy, bless barry, bless marvin and so many others that dignified this craft!
    shame what we have today!

Am I the only one who misses the daylights out of this man? I pray for the day someone who received his spirit sings and we can hear a part of him again. This is music people...the way it aught to be. I know there will be only one Luther, but there has to be hope someone similar to him will come our way again.

Sista unfortunately I hate to be the one to tell you that greatness has left us and there is no other form to replace him. Thus, continue to listen to him and appreciate his sound. Find the man that you can enjoy these sounds with. Most importantly think, smile, and continue to learn to be happy. Lets await for another great to be created. It will take time but he will be able to sing to you in a different way than Luther.

Check out Morris Cerullo's Help Line rendition of Falling in Love with Jesus on You Tube.
It is sung with Kirk Whalum on the saxaphone, but checkout the singer...HE reminds me of our Luther! It is a totally awesome rendition and I am still trying to find out who the singer is. I think he was touched by Luther and God!

Carole Tallerino, I do know that this young man went on tour with Steve and Nephew Tommy at one point, but for the love of my Lord I can't remember his name. I would hope that Steve or Nephew would tell his name to the public so that we can enjoy his most melodious voice. For this man is truly a gift to the world. The only way I would know to get his name would be from Steve or Nephew Tommy and for me it is very hard for me to even get to them on their morning show. If you find out would you please let me know, thank you.

Folks, my name is Mauro Gomes. I am Brazilian, 54 years old. Lived in the US for more than 30 years. Went to Essex County College in Newark, NJ and did all my career in the US. Now I am back Brazil enjoying a great life here. Continue in the US as well. But in all these years loving Soul, R&B , etc I think this songs is one of the greatest. Especially this version from our late Luther Vandross. He was one of the best R&B singers. We love you Luther. And may your soul be with God.

i wish i could do more than just "like" this song, it brings back so many sweet memories, i adored Luther growing up, any of his songs could be the theme to my childhood. his voice was just so smooth and rich sounding, beautiful is to vague a term to describe this mans talent. thanks to UA-cam for posting this, i just wish there were more views, its a little disturbing to see profanity filled music videos with almost a billion views ,and this gem's only got a little over a million, Keep real music alive people and rest in peace to Luther Vandross

I just want to say that I own this DVD set from this concert, and on March 18, 2020, I watched the entire concert. What I love about it most is that how many modern artists can be on stage live alone and sing like this? If you've never seen this concert, that stage is massive, and several times he's on stage by himself or with backup singers. This was/is a fantastic concert and well worth a purchase even now!

Dam there was some serious talent back then which I don't think will ever see again. Even the singers out there now which we say have a great voice don't give you the shivers up the spine like they do! Take me back to the 80's!
