Always wondered why the 2nd Warbird didn't attack the Enterprise during this battle sequence. The 2nd Warbird Waited til her sister ship was destroyed than attempted to finish off the Enterprise.
Maybe that was some sort of consolation for destroying an overmatched Miranda-class starship (in Federation territory). This is why the Federation should negate the treaty of Algeron and start developing cloaking technology. This is a clear violation of that treaty by the fickle Romulans.
I thought same tjing. Also, why Picard didn't do evasive maneuvers instead if maintaining g a straight course.
@@lancemartin6782 Even a Galaxy class starship has an even chance against a warbird of this class. First one to strike usually wins. Picard probably knew he had only one chance against one and waited out as long as they could until reinforcements arrived.

Nice, the Galaxy class ships have got 22 phaser banks (I guess) and I never saw them in action simultaneously in the series. It needed a self-made fan video to see this.

+351cleavland Because they saw the potential homonym ambiguity, logically concluded the first officer was not the target Captain Picard intended, and thereby targeted the correctly intended ship.
Numinous Yaeah, but maybe Picard was having a REALLY bad day and thought that they should shoot Riker!

Thank you :D Your coments reminds me on a particular scene in Galaxy Quest LOL. The torpedoes could have been launched but Worf had chubby fingers and could only fire phasers at the time LMAO!! Plus the ship was damaged 'n' stuff. The scene in question though I thought it would be too much 'going on' in a short time, so I didn't add them. Plus add the suspense. Thanks for the techno feedback, and I'l glad you liked it. :)

Its great video truly awesome space scenes. Editing is done well. For some reason my bridge footage is out of focus . But it may be my phone. Love the explosions, very realistic
This is my first time I saw a Galaxy class being so agile on her maneuver. Must be a pro pilot on the con. :D

this was not only a victory for peace, but a victory for the special effects budget.
Quite realistic it seems. Some people have argued that the romulan warbird was far more powerful then the E-D. When in reality they are fairly evenly matched. The only advantage the romulans really had was the cloaking device. The fact that the enterprise managed to destroy one of the warbirds is no surprise to me. The Galaxy class starship is quite well armed. More than match one on one for an enemy vessel except the borg of course. And now of course they now have quantum torpedoes.

Nicely done.. it was good how you blended the episodes in with the external shots. The one thing the enterprise really got into was a real scrap with another apart from the film and the borg...but that doesnt count
@Toxis374 Actually, according to a spec manual I've got favorited, the origninal Galaxy class only has 11 phaser banks. The Dominion War refits had two extra ones added on to the nacelles, giving them a total of 13 phasers.

@Toxis374 The Galaxy class ships has 12 phaser banks. I, also have never seen them in action with the photon torpedoes, except for TNG episode of "The Worst of Both Worlds" PT1
Very nice job. I didn't know that on the Enterprise D, that phazers banks were located at the rear tail section? Is that true?
This would be a violation between the Romulan Empire and the Federation. The Enterprise would send for backup, it would not take on multiple warbirds without contacting the Federation as this would mean war, a Galaxy class ship has families.
You have a rare talent, sir.
Instead of simply ejecting the warp core , have it be maneuverable so you could guide it to your enemies ship then explode.
@miloootic I am glad someone mentioned what I was going to say. I did not want to be a bitch. The Enterprise would never have survived a fight with a Warbird, even under good circumstances.
Jeez every time I watch these videos the Romulans seem to win!! I think someone (whoever made this) has an agenda

Well done. Just a few questions though; why didn't the Enterprise fire @ the second warbird with more than a few phaser blasts, and could the torpedoes be made to be launched @ a higher velocity and be made more powerful (they are 65 megaton warheads after all). Aside from that, excellent video :D Can't wait for part 2.

@jkeelsnc Actually, the Galaxy class can't use the quantum torpedoes, sadly...I wish they could.
Actually, Galaxy can use quantum torpedoes. Galaxy class were upgraded with quantum torpedo launchers somewhere between the middle and the end of the Dominion War. Sadly, most of the CGI never show them firing quantum torpedoes in DS9 but it was confirmed by the writers.

Aft were used a few times but for minor event. I never saw them being used in combat. :o
I'm having a few problems with Romulan Incident Part 2, as my computer just does not wanna cooperate on a particular scene, so there is a slight, tad'ish deley, but my baseball bat is on standby to wack the machine to fix the glitch lol, stay tooned :D

@thusday8 so do I after all let's not forget that the Enterprise was the Federation flagship so for the time it was designed to be the most powerful of courser all that had to change when the Dominion and Borg came onto the scene
I am a bit disappointed so many talented animators seem to want to make the Enterprise more capable than she actually was. Roddenberry was known to state that a Warbird could defeat the Enterprise in a 1 on 1, and in "Tin Man," it was shown that a single Warbird could essentially cripple the Enterprise in a single attack, but your animation has the Enterprise handle two Warbirds and manage to destroy one in the process.
Except according to Gene Roddenberry, the Warbird has heavier armarments, which isn't reflected here. The Warbirds seem to have wimpy weapons in this animation.

Ya I always found it irritating knowing how well armed the ship is yet they never actually displayed it. They would rather get 10 hull breaches before returning fire. More dramatic that way I suppose.

Like I always say a Star Fleet ship never does any damage to an enemy ship and has the crap kicked out of it or is destroyed .. Everyone in the Alpha sector must laugh when they see a Star Fleet ship

I don’t think this is how it would have went.
The romulans are all powerful. Their first volley turned the helmsman from a white guy into a black woman. Just imagine if the 2nd warbird had gotten involved in the fight instead of just sitting there, picard would be wearing an afro.

I've always thought the D'deridex would be nearly impossible for a single Galaxy class ship to destroy, it's is twice the size and has far greater firepower.

I would think destroying a federation starship was explanation enough enterprise should have attacked immediately

Started off alright but like in the show the Galaxy then becomes slow and plodding! Federation ships really aren't and I would say considering how advanced they are for every warbird built StarFleet would have around 20 even 30! Not nearly as they resource restricted as the Empires who even together were still no match!
