Always beautiful to watch a Galaxy-class bring it! Seems Romulans have a numbers advantage... and not sure why that Excelsior would be left all alone like that
That tractor beam maneuver of pushing that Miranda class into the Galaxy Class warp nacelle was brilliant, not sure if even writers of a series battle would have thought that one up as a tactic as that Romulan ship moved in!
Seems to be twist on the TNG episode Cause and Effect when the Enterprise tried to use a tractor beam to divert a Miranda before it smashed into their nacelle. Still very cool to see it done intentionally in a battle.
Or in the DS9 episode where the Defiante grabbed a Klingon ship & drug it around next to a Cardassian ship about to explode so the Klingon ship would get caught in the blast / shockwave...
@Penawen No, just an illusion... there appear to be some very small fighter craft in addition to the huge mega-warbird, ships both much smaller and much larger than anything in the actual series. As many as three and perhaps even four different scales on the screen at a time.
Starfleet has it's own Secret Weapon.... The Galaxy-X Battleship! Every faction has their big previously secret "Super Vessel" which would be deployed in times of extreme desperation or the foreknowledge that the typical ship of the line wouldn't he enough to win the conflict.
@Snowwie88 The Romulan Warbird, otherwise known as D'deridex class is more or less 1100 meters long. Galaxy class 640 meters long. And pretty much the same scale with beam and height.
Nice video. I'd like to see one, though, where a Galaxy class ship cuts loose with all its firepower like when the Enterprise fought the Borg. According to the Star Trek Technical Manual, a Galaxy class ship is supposed to have phaser emitters all over the ship so they can always have at least one aimed at any target at any able around the ship. Supposedly it is able to maintain continuous fire from all of them, as well as firing continuous volleys of photon torpedoes. From that description, there should always be at least one continuous phaser beam hitting the enemy ship, from one emitter or another, no matter how the ship maneuvers. They should also be able to maintain continuous fire at multiple targets at once, limited only by the number of phaser emitters. It is always a bit aggravating to see them seem to hold back, like in Generations when there should have been a continuous stream of photon torpedoes slamming into the Klingon ship. It would be nice to see one fully cut loose with everything it has.
Also, there is a finite supply of torpedoes on hand. While I'm sure they can be manufactured on board some of the larger ships, in an extended conflict, a Captain would want to gauge their depletion. Now, in desperation against an enormous foe like the Borg... let 'em all fly!
@Zcontinuum Yeah, I guess that explains it, but even @ 15% it wouldn't have done that hull damage. Also the phasers look great, but I'll assume the lack of the SDE on the phasers is just a limitation of the software used. One major thing though, ships that size with phasers having an effective range of one light second (300 000KM), just wouldn't be in close formation like fighter squadrons.
Klingons aren't stupid. They'd let the Federation wear itself down first. Then offer their 'aid' to a desperate Starfleet. In exchange for vast amounts of territory, of course. 'Honor' be Damned!
@@Administrator_O-5 of course they would. They were insistent that the Federation aid in their war with Cardassia. They would definitely aid the Federation in conflict against the Romulans. As most Klingons longed for combat and glory (which had been in short supply for a few decades). Plus they aided the Enterprise-D when it faced off against Tomalok and his 2 D'Deridex Warbirds.
Unless..... This is a timeline where the Duras Sisters took over the Klingon Empire and aided the Romulans with what little ships they had after the Civil War.
Wow. That's really neat. Really amazing stuff. I would have loved to hear some high-intensity radio chatter, to give the ships more "humanity". You can only do so much. Maybe there can be a remixed version some day with bridge scenes mixed into the cuts where individual crews are dealing with the pounding they are being handed. "Hull breach, decks 5 through 9." "Inertial dampeners down to 5%." "All hands abandon ship! All hands aban-"
way too many torpedoes launched by the Galaxy and Ambassador class ships at that warbird…it’s tough, but not that tough! same with the ohasers on the small ships: no way in hell they survived those blasts.
well speaking of the weaponized tractor beam use the big ship looked like it had adapted Borg technology to since the romulans were attempting to do that
I would love to see a video of the Dominion defeating earth and then about to start bombarding it when Voyager returns home with the Borg alliance intact. Borg tactical cube starts destroying the Dominion fleet. Would be fun.
Another good scenario would be Voyager returning home with the armor and transphasic torpedoes that that the crew developed in the final episode. The ship arrives through a transwarp conduit and commences to obliterate the Dominion ships.
Nice video, the shield effect could use a little more work. I really liked the burn scarring the Excelsior-class got, and the Miranda-class hitting the nacelle was a cool touch.
Impressive! Very nice phaser and torpedo sequences and excellent flight-maneuvers. And the best: No shitty "epic" sounds, but orginal Star Trek battle music. Very good work! :-)
@NightwishRaven999 From what we saw in the battle, the Galaxy had been hit very little or not @ all. In Nemesis, the Sovereign (a heavy cruiser with less shielding than a Galaxy class) only being under impulse power and having being bombarded quite severely up to a point, deflected relatively easily a part of a Romulan Cruiser with more mass and moving faster than the Miranda was shown to be. Also, in an actual battle, starships of that size simply would not be that close to each-other.
@Bigdog7867 No, it wouldn't. The amount of energy the shields on a Galaxy class can absorb is far in excess of the kinetic energy contained within the Miranda class @ the horizontal velocity it was traveling. And no, the weight is around twenty thousand tonnes, and would not cause that damage. The Galaxy can absorb dozens of photon torpedo hits (in the peta-joule range), as well as disruptor fire. The kinetic energy in that, which the shields would absorb, is in the mega-joule range.
I'm considering Wolf 359, but for now it's in a distant future. I don't do requests however I do take on board some suggestions for future vids :-) And thank you for your comment.
Thank you guys for the comments, and just to lol clarify the interesting conversation between fps and bigdog, the Galaxy class had fought with other ships (off camera battle) her shields was very weak and couldn't sustain the ship impact lets say 15% just for the sake of it :). Part two will take a while :( I need to buy a new harddrive because I have ran out. This part 1 was just the intro, the Enterprise and the fleet was going to be the next scene but no hard drive space left. :(
Romulan ships would implode due to the singularity at the heart of their warp cores. Nice ship models though. Need to include the Klingons in the conflict. Never the sort to turn down a good fight and if it’s against the romulans... even better.
Excellent, although kind of annoying how the Miranda class colliding with the Galaxy did so much damage; it just wouldn't have that effect. Also, it appears as though you missed out the SDE of the arrayed phasers. Other than that, very impressive.
Since we never saw Kerchan-Class Romulan Battleships deployed in the Prime Universe in the late 2260's or early 2270's, this would seem to be an Alternate Universe scenario being played out.
The one thing star trek never does is small fighter shuttle mass engagement, its allways star ship to star ship. Reality for our species would be big ship fleets allways an aircraft carrier, 2 destroyers, 2 boomers, 1 LA class, 4 patrol boats. Over 100 support/fighter rescue spacecraft.
That's a very impressive video, the best 'amateur' Star Trek spacebattle I ever seen. But, Romulan vessels aren't that big aren't they? I remember the epic spacebattles fought in DS9, but Romulan warbids are mostly equal or somewhat less the size of a galaxy class.
Would like to see the Klingons come in and help. along with the Defiant Enterprise E and and few others. but first the Klingons and Defiant decloack and make there attack. Enterprise E and backup comes out of warp. yup that be cool
Always beautiful to watch a Galaxy-class bring it! Seems Romulans have a numbers advantage... and not sure why that Excelsior would be left all alone like that

That was dirty pool on the Romulans!
Or in the DS9 episode where the Defiante grabbed a Klingon ship & drug it around next to a Cardassian ship about to explode so the Klingon ship would get caught in the blast / shockwave...
There are a lot of things that should happen, for a good intelligent battle, that for some story line reason, is not written into the script.
@Travis Thacker agreed the galaxy class(post dominion war) has a shield grid that can rival a dedridex but not outshine
Love the use of the "weaponized" tractor beam!!!
Clever use of tractor beam as weapon.
@Penawen
No, just an illusion... there appear to be some very small fighter craft in addition to the huge mega-warbird, ships both much smaller and much larger than anything in the actual series. As many as three and perhaps even four different scales on the screen at a time.
Very nicely and fluidly animated. Great looking models. That Romulan dreadnought was pretty cool.
And pretty much the same scale with beam and height.
wow that was kick ass.... love the tractor beam tactics
@MasterSnaker That warship is the D'Kazinak class romulan battleship
That big romulan ship must be using a borg cutting beam on that excelsior class ship.
Nice video. I'd like to see one, though, where a Galaxy class ship cuts loose with all its firepower like when the Enterprise fought the Borg. The problem is phasers need to re charge for a few seconds so it can never be continuous
Also, there is a finite supply of torpedoes on hand. While I'm sure they can be manufactured on board some of the larger ships, in an extended conflict, a Captain would want to gauge their depletion. Now, in desperation against an enormous foe like the Borg... let 'em all fly!
Damn, swung that Miranda like a mace
As Star Trek bad guys go, the romulans have always been my favorite.
I like how the spaceships turn just like airplanes do in Earth's atmosphere and how sound travels so well in the vacuum of space...
Nice suspension of disbelief you have there.
Pew! Pew! Pew!
@Zcontinuum Yeah, I guess that explains it, but even @ 15% it wouldn't have done that hull damage. Now there's no way the Klingons wouldn't jump at the opportunity to wipe out the Romulans here.
Except they wouldn't get involved.
Klingons aren't stupid. They'd let the Federation wear itself down first. Then offer their 'aid' to a desperate Starfleet. In exchange for vast amounts of territory, of course. 'Honor' be Damned!

At 2:08 to 2:11 HOLY SHIT?! Is that a Romulan Kerchan class Super Battleship?
Awesomeness, nice touch with the Kerchan's arrival. I think I heard the Narada's hum lol
Very, very good video.
That dreadnaught warbird lookes badass :)
@Zcontinuum Sweet. Keep us posted.
Wow. That's really neat. Really amazing stuff.

well speaking of the weaponized tractor beam use the big ship looked like it had adapted Borg technology to since the romulans were attempting to do that
Now THIS is the REAL classic Trek!
funny how the galaxy's are never shown separated despite that supposedly being their battle modes
I dont even want to think how long that must have took and how much skill you must have, all I can say is, absolutly wonderful work
I would love to see a video of the Dominion defeating earth and then about to start bombarding it when Voyager returns home with the Borg alliance intact. Borg tactical cube starts destroying the Dominion fleet. Would be fun.

@@stevencohen624 so the dominion war would still be happening even in 2378 interesting.
Bet Federation wishes they had quantum torpedoes right there and then. Love seeing the Miranda class in action!!
Nice video, the shield effect could use a little more work. I really liked the burn scarring the Excelsior-class got, and the Miranda-class hitting the nacelle was a cool touch.
I really love this!!!!! kudos
If I had no other choice, I would find the nearest escape pod! lol
what happen why did you stop?
USS Nerdgasm is raising shields!
Great job! cant wait for the next one
Hi, long time professional VFX artist, some very nice ideas in this, look forward to seeing how it progresses.
That's fantastic
damn, old school Romulan warships, bravo sir
Impressive! Very nice phaser and torpedo sequences and excellent flight-maneuvers. And the best: No shitty "epic" sounds, but orginal Star Trek battle music. Very good work! :-)
my good it´s terrfic , alwasome i hope you continue very quickly jojo thanks for upload
I always thought that they were much larger. go to memory alpha and search for d'deridex class warbird
Excellent
WOW AWESOME

YEAAAA!! this is awesome!
I Finally bought a new hard drive 2TB, (not going to run out of space for a while) and the part 2 is underway. gonna take a while though.
@CaptainRoyMustang170 Which part? If all, on Vue 6 and F/X on after efects
beautiful photon torpedo footage nice job

@startrekking2 Thank you, does the phasers look better on this one?
The excelsior class should've pulled the ole' PREPARE FOR RAMMING SPEED maneuver. Federation or not, today is a good day to die.
It was a cool idea to use tractor beam.
Ha! I knew the Miranda was gonna blow!
GREAT vid!
Music is awesome!!!
Why doesn't the Fed ever mark the romulan ships with a kind of dye marker or detectable material when they fire torpedo at them? Just saying...
Thank you guys for the comments, and just to lol clarify the interesting conversation between fps and bigdog, the Galaxy class had fought with other ships (off camera battle) her shields was very weak and couldn't sustain the ship impact lets say 15% just for the sake of it :).

Very nice. Was class was that big Romulan ship? A D'Kazinak class? Or maybe the same type as the Valdore?
this is gooooood
Sweet!!
nice job!!!
LOL, not to mention some danger money added too :)
awesome!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO PART 2.................
This is so fuckin cool! And epic! I was surprisingly emotonial during this
So was I wen I first seen Enterprise CLL-1701 I like to believe that's she's a real ship God bless the Navi.
Romulan ships would implode due to the singularity at the heart of their warp cores.
Nice ship models though. Need to include the Klingons in the conflict. Never the sort to turn down a good fight and if it’s against the romulans... even better.
a little wonder: the Miranda lived longer than the Excelsior ^^
Very good vid!!
Is the shield effect post work or programmed in 3d?
how do you feel about sequals... lots and lots of sequals?
Excellent, although kind of annoying how the Miranda class colliding with the Galaxy did so much damage; it just wouldn't have that effect. Also, it appears as though you missed out the SDE of the arrayed phasers. Other than that, very impressive.
THE
NCC 1701 D
USS ENTERPRISE
was a little bigger than the
ROMULAN D'DERIDEX
CLASS WARBIRD
This is when you wish the USS Vengeance comes in to play😎
No Defiant or Prometheus class vessels?
Good video but what caused the war? Did the events of The Defector end differently here?
Since we never saw Kerchan-Class Romulan Battleships deployed in the Prime Universe in the late 2260's or early 2270's, this would seem to be an Alternate Universe scenario being played out.
This is awesome , i think there should be a short appearance of the normandy from mass effect , i love that game
I've never seen that huge Romulan vessel surrounded by those warbirds. Anybody know what it is?
Yup. It's done by the same people that handle the red-shirts.
i would lol here's the question what would u want to be on the oberth class or the miranda class
Why does the phasers sound like an aerosol can spraying? A can of raid flying pest spray.
@startrekking2 Well I'm happy with it :)
lol. and thank you.
Those are very good graphics did you create this your self ?
Wait until the UFP needs the RSE to fight the Borg, as the UFP needed the RSE to fight the Dominion. Jolan tru!
Well, at least it actually helped instead of being blown up 2 seconds into the battle.
@CJCA915 Thanks :)
Nice camera work! Well done. But check your text at the beginning! I think you're missing something.
Can you remake the battle of wolf 359 or Battle of the Omarion Nebula lol do u take request the videos are the best i have ever seen great job
Where is part 2?
@NightwishRaven999 yup, relentless :)
@thedarkarcon4 more on the way but it's gonna take a while

Do they automatically notify your next of kin when you are assigned to a Miranda ?
Subscribed!
What is the first track of music specifically?
Was hoping the Reliant had a chance....oh well.......
the lighting needs work, it was too hard to see some of the ships
Daleks will ultimately rule the universe
Yeah. It's called being Mirandized. :)
They're nearly twice the length and eight times the volume of a Galaxy-class.
0:25 Bitchslap! Ouch! Remember the time ...
0:36 The old story. Romulans bullying Ambassador class. Again! :C
0:46 "No this time bitchs!" :))
