As a healthcare worker I think it's hard for people who haven't witnessed first hand the devastation that this virus causes to understand what we are up against as neighbors, community and a nation. That being said, there's no hate or judgement. I love all my brothers and sisters throughout the world and I love you! Please stay safe out there as the virus does not distinguish between us; it's just a nasty bug looking for a host. Be safe and God bless!
We all need to be community through this! My husband and I are setting up a garden and animal homestead on our little acre for that very purpose! We will be a resource for our family and neighbors and church family through anything we all go through!!!
I hate that the vaccine/covid is such a divisive topic. While my views on the situation are the opposite of yours and I am pro-vaccine, I would NEVER just unfollow you guys because of that. I agree with Jen, it's immature, if that was the case I wouldn't speak to half my family and friends. In the bible, it says Matthew 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Love y'all!

Something a lot of people who have gotten the vaccine don't realize is that the vast majority of us who haven't aren't "anti-vaxxers". We simply feel it is OUR decision what is put in our bodies. The average vaccine takes 15 years or more for development, testing and distribution to happen. Some take decades. These have gone through that entire process in one year. The CDC admitted that they have no idea if there will be any long-term side effects. There is no way they could know since it never went through long-term testing. There have already been thrombosis with thrombocytopenia(which can cause serious long-term disability or death), heart conditions, Guillain Barre Syndrome and suspected reproductive complications. All this in less than 2 years. Some of my family have had the vaccine and some haven't. Some of my friends have and some haven't. Fortunately, we are all mature and sane enough to realize that it was THEIR choice either way and we respect that and them. I'm glad to see you are the same. God bless you.

As a front line health care worker, in close personal contact with vulnerable populations, both my husband and I are fully vaccinated and we are strongly pro vaccine. That being said, I wouldn't unsubscribe just because I disagree with you. What does that accomplish, really? We need to keep our minds and hearts open and not allow our country to be even more divided than it already is.
As a healthcare worker who completely disagrees with this mandate for many reasons and my own research, it is good to see people disagree w/o being hateful. Everyone has strong feelings about this.

Perhaps you could explain something to me that I can find no other place to ask (perhaps I didn't look hard enough). My perception of all this is that this evil thing is passed from person to person evidently by several ways. My question, at least part of it, is if you are going to possibly die from this shot, have massive side effects, AND STILL get it again, why get the shot? If it is passed by persons WITH the anti-bodies, i.e.-someone with it, has had it, or has had the vaccine, are they NOT the spreaders? If I am unvaccinated and have no symptoms (yes, possibly just a carrier, but assume not), how am I this bad monster the system is trying make us out to be? How can I infect someone if I DO NOT HAVE the bug? Please tell me where I am getting turned around. Neither of us has had or have it, but have been around many (evidently) that have tested positive. Also, what sense is sending kids home from school because they have supposedly been within some magical distance from someone that tested positive, but their girlfriend/boyfriend who is in close daily contact with them is allowed to stay in school? Please understand, I AM NOT trying to attack you or anything, I just would like some information. It seems everything I hear contradicts something else I heard, so ...? People that are dying "of" covid are dying "with" covid and are dying of another underlying health condition! The PCR test that tests for covid is not accurate. There is so much sensored truth out there on this idiotic nightmare we are living. They keep trying to delete it from this platform especially. The common sense doctors that talked about quarantining the healthy people and killing our immune systems (Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi), the truth about Kary Mullis and the PCR test that he invented and spoke about, (he conveniently died in August of 2019), the doctor in New York that in a nutshell, said putting healthy people on a ventilator is killing them, all the mask on mask off bologna, to all the adverse reactions and deaths from these lovely vaccines. The great divide! A nation divided will fall! Time to get our heads out of our rears!
I know several Healthcare workers that say that people who are fully vaccinated are contracting covid.... it's not about a virus it's about compliance and giving your constitutional freedoms up for "safety." No person and I mean NO person has any right to mandate something for another person's body! This is a battle I think many feel strongly enough to die on.

There is no point that I can see in debating this issue. I have been with Walmart for almost 14 years and have to make this same decision. We have been in the works if paying our debits down as well for the past few years but especially since this all started last year and Walmart laid off 800 including half of my team. I was fired from my job in June because I wouldn’t take the mandatory covid vaccination. I now am working a new job. Keep your faith and continue to follow your hearts and your intuition. Husband and I had vaccines as soon as our age groups allowed and having family in the medical research field, we had such a great explanation of how the MNRA works so we felt very confident. Personal choice/freedom is exactly that, and hoping that feeling is across the board to all things, not just those. ❤️
We have a lot of family that have also decided not to get it, again, their choice, but it is ours to not be around them until the Covid crisis is over. It hurts my heart, but we also take care of elderly parent that we can't endanger. What a mess for the whole world.
I will start by saying I don’t think anyone should have to put anything into their bodies unless they want to do so. They should never be ordered to do so. With that said my Mother didn’t ware a mask mostly because most other people at her church didn’t want to be told to do something. She never went anywhere but church this was the end of December before the shots were available to everyone. She went to church on a Sunday and Tuesday started to feel a little bit sick. I took her Wednesday to get tested Wednesday got positive results. By this time I had been monitoring her oxygen level and from Wednesday she was at 98% and Thursday was at 94%. Her Dr finally got back with me and said take her to get checked out by the ER Dr they kept her and at 1:30 am on January 4th she passed away 13 day from the Sunday she went to church. 3 people from her church passed away from it and 5 were put in icu. A she went to a very small church maybe 30 people when they had everyone there. So I just wanted to tell others when you go out around other people it is more for them that I put on the mask. I have not had the vaccine myself and not sure if I will yet but I would just like for people to be more aware of other peoples feelings and rights and don’t make someone feel bad if they choose to put on a mask or get the shot because they both do save lives. I have another family member fighting for her life right now and the vaccine and mask could have prevented it. God Bless everyone and I am not trying to start a debate I just wanted to have people to stop and think of others because we don’t live alone on this earth we have neighbors and it doesn’t hurt any of us to think of them when we go out and if we are not feeling well stay at home until we are better. That’s all nothing I said is ment in a hurtful or rude way it comes from a good place and I will keep praying for everyone and that this thing goes away soon never to return 🙏😊

So sorry for your loss. My father in law passed away August 14 th from covid pneumonia. He had a lot of other health issues and his quality of life wasn’t that good. He was ready to go home. He was also our pastor. We miss him so much. I will pray for your family me that is sick. God Bless
I am sorry that this has struck so close to home and may your beloved mom rest peacefully. I too have been through similar tragedy and have been wearing masks since before they were recommended out of courtesy to my work colleagues in a healthcare administration role, to which my boss got uppity and said I was scaremongering. However we choose to protect ourselves we should also be respectful to others and consider their wellbeing too. We don't say thank you often enough to those who selflessly support us in our times of need. I had clients who wanted to refuse personal care so as not to risk the families and loved ones of the carers! Carers are very special people ! THANK YOU ALL CARERS and may you be kept safe and healthy and continue your great work.
So sorry for your loss! Remember, though, the manufacturers of each shot have repeatedly said that their product does not prevent you from infecting anyone, nor does it prevent you from infection. And viruses never ever go away. They just hide for a while -- animals usually.

Here's a story a preacher told that help me to make up my mind. A good Christian man lived next to a river, one day it started to flood. His neighbor came and offered him a ride out, he said the Lord would save him. The water kept rising so a boat came to get him but he said the Lord would save him. He climbed on top of his house and a helicopter came to rescue him, he said he was standing on faith. He drowned and got to heaven and asked the Lord why he hadn't heard his prayers, the Lord said I sent your neighbor, a boat and a helicopter. Vaccine may be someone's helicopter.
The flood story is actually one of my favorites stories to tell! The difference at least in my eyes is I’m not about to drown so don’t force the helicopter - Zach
Of course that is your choice, but maybe it helps someone else. But if I thought I was saving your life I'd drag you into that helicopter out of a Mama's love of course. My son is dying of colon cancer with 3 young children, I'd do anything to save him

Okay, first off let me say THANK YOU for saying “you don’t care” what we think about YOUR personal choices!! I feel God gave us a system that will build up immunities. May not fight it off completely but our symptoms won’t be as bad as others. I feel the exact same way. My husband, my son who’s 27, and myself literally just got over this crap 🙄 2 weeks, the first week is sick, the second week is striving to get your energy back. The boys had the bad body aches with theirs but I did not. We all had the headaches and loss of taste and smell. My 8 year old grandson lives with me and he got sick also but only for 48hrs. He’s homeschooled so he was bound to catch it. We live on a 4 acre homestead. Renovating a 100yr old farmhouse. My son stays in there and my husband, our grand, and myself have lived in a 2016 42’ 5th wheel for almost 2 years now while we slowly remodel. My husband is a police officer and of course I stay home. Produce our own food, we have goats and chickens and for pork we have a pig butchered every fall from the local FFA kids. So we stay to ourselves but still got it. Took our vitamins and got well. We will NOT get that jab!! Maybe 10yrs down the road when we see what the actual long term effects are, then maybe but probably not. My grandson only had his first set of shots then I put my foot down and said no more! He is hardly ever sick, well he was his K year in public school but since he’s homeschooled it’s hardly ever. Plus he is super smart. The school begged me to keep him enrolled. I’m assuming for money and this test scores. He was reading at a 5th grade level by the end of Kindergarten. Anyway, sorry for the book I wrote. I got scarlet fever and meningitis when I was a kid. Thank God for modern medicine because I would have died otherwise. I took the vaccine and thanked God for it.
I don't know what was prettier and cuter, the beautiful foggy morning and the barn, or that wonderful turkey soup and the kids helping with the packaging. Loved seeing it all. I would just like to add that our immediate family and ancestors fought for our freedom to have the freedom of choice, our Constitution is based on these principles.

I am very against the vaccine. I was so upset when my 18 year old son got the vaccine due to being bribed from the hospital that he works for. They would only pay him $11 something an hour if he wasn’t vaccinated or they’ll pay him $17 an hour to get the vaccine. So needless to say he got the vaccine. I’m so angered by these different companies that say you have to get the vaccine or find another job. What has our country came to? God has a plan though. 💙
People keep using the word forced....the only thing you're being forced to do is make a decision. There's this odd misconception that working in your chosen career is your 'right', when in fact your presence is always at the discretion of your employer. You have no 'right' to be there if you refuse to follow the company's rules and there will always be someone ready to take your place if you choose to step aside. It's important to make decisions based on your personal convictions but you can't expect the rest of the world to bow to your personal truth....it just doesn't work that way.
When you put your trust in HIM, when 1 door closes - HE will always open an even BETTER ONE !

Here in Maine if you are fired because you did not comply with the vaccine mandate, you are not eligible for unemployment. The DOL came out this week and said so.

I've been in the health field for 20 plus years. With that said..I did get my vaccination and I do believe in God and his word ..Everyone has their mind. For me my family and friends I did what I thought was right. You do you.

As a heathcare nurse, this situation is not good and I see the distruction it is creating, but our precious Lord will provide and take care of us. My husband got a religious exemption and two medical exemptions and his last day is Tuesday because they haven’t accepted either. He is handicapped and getting another job is not going to be easy but We have faith we will make it through. We just keep telling ourselves we stand firm in our beliefs in the good book and will keep the faith.

I joined a channel on UA-cam that started reading through the Bible last year and we started over this year but are reading it chronologically. It's been an amazing experience and a bolster to my faith. Most days all I can do is listen while I work. Being in the Word, no matter how you do it is what counts. Bless you all!
I'm reminded of a story about a man caught in a flood. The water got higher until he had to get on the roof of his house. A boat came and offered to take him to dry land but he refused saying god would save him. Another boat came with the same offer and again he refused saying God would save him. Before the water rose over the roof a rescue helicopter tried to evacuate him but he said no, God will save me. The water rose over the roof and he drowned. When he reached heaven he asked God why he didn't save him from the water. God replied that he sent 2 boats and a helicopter. Maybe we need to be open to different ways God can answer our prayers and not rebel against things that are not our idea and turn down help when it is offered. We all need to make our own choices. I chose to get the vacine, now it is mandated by my employer. I work in healthcare and have seen how the virus has hospitalized and killed healthy people. I've gone years without missing a day of work due to a sick day, but this situation is too scary for me not to use every resource I can to protect myself. I hope and pray everyone can be happy with the choices they make in this hard time!

Hello from South Jersey! I am soooo happy that you express the SAME VIEWS as I do regarding this new vaccine mandate. I myself, am a critical care nurse who has worked tirelessly first hand with these acutely ill COVID patients and was recently forced to get the vaccine by my hospital employer. The idea of “my body, my choice” is no longer valid when they told us it’s “their choice to employ us or not”. It’s absolutely crushing, to take away that choice after the past year and a half with having us work day in and day out with NO vaccine and NO adequate PPE or having to reuse the same N95 mask and gowns multiple times for each COVID patient encounter even though they are single use masks and gowns only. It’s disgraceful. Last years “hero’s” are now being threatened as being this “years unemployed” unless we all comply. As always Thank you Stivers for allowing us a honest glimpse into your life and let us all know, that we are not alone in this! 💪 sincerely, a forever follower!
Oh I know it! My younger sister works at a doctor's office in ohio. It's a part of Kettering health network and they are having protests against the vaccine mandate (and no religious exemptions). One sign I seen said, "2020 hero's = 2021 fired". If this was such a deadly plague like they've been making this out to be, we would have been seeing people die by now!

It is heartbreaking to sed and here of all those who have passed away due to this.so very sad and so many who now have long term illnesses due to covid. There is a great UA-cam channel called one hour one book and he is great at taking each book of the Bible and explaining it. I am going through it right now and enjoying it and a better understanding the Bible than ever now.

Getting any vaccine or medical treatment is a decision you should make with your health care provider not mandated by your work or government. Everyone should consult their personal physician not your boss or politician.

I also do not like the fact that my company has mandated the vaccine. Unfortunately, when 75% of the people are vaccinated it is hard for the few to fight back. A company has a mandate to provide a safe work place. We will see if they will fire the unvaccinated on Oct 30. I am pro choice but the hospitals are filled with covid cases and many serious operations are delayed due to the people sick with covid. Do the unvaccinated think of all the people dying because they can not get treatment in a timely fashion because of the covid cases filling up the hospital ICU beds.

My husband has been laid off three times in our 52 years of marriage... We put our faith in God .. and everyone of those layoffs were a blessing.. We learned how to be gatherers, hunters gardeners and more.. but most of all WE drew closer to God !! WE never went with out food, we never lost anything... we only gained !! It wasn't easy at times but God provided !! To tell the truth.. looking back .. I can see where it helped us to grow close as a family too !!! We were able in those years to pay off our bills, pay our home mortgage off and do away with credit cards !!

I really wrestled with this, too,, but I realized that I’d had all my childhood vaccines and my child had hers and I finally came to the conclusion that God is either going to protect me or else He’s not. I know I’m saved, redeemed by Him and I know that He protects me. So, I stopped wrestling and trusted Him to protect me, even from the side effects, if necessary. I’ve had no side effects other than a sore arm. I guess what Zi am saying us that I gave it to the Lord, asked him to protect me and got mine. I’m healthy, but I got it bc our world is smaller now and 10 years from now if another one flits over here from China, I wanted some immunity built up bc I surely don’t trust them..to each his own, but I just gave it to the Lord and stopped being afraid…

But, whether that is true or not, we should all have faith and believe in God and know that he "HAS" us all. Jumping ahead and thinking the worst shows no faith. But we should all have a backup and a way to provide for our family. And I realize that it's hard for many who can't or who don't have a way of providing right now, and preparing because I have no idea what we are going to do. My fourteen years old son and I were talking about this just yesterday. But we have faith that we WILL get through this together.
We live in NJ and our governor just made the shot mandatory for teachers, state workers etc. My husband works for the state and he's not getting the vaccine so I'm interested to see what happens with his job. I'm happy you're staying true to what you believe
Same here, Stephanie, my son is with the NJDOT and he has been extremely upset since he heard about the mandate. He and I both have genetic issues that make vaccines dangerous to us. When he came home today, though, he said the union is trying to fight by offering a compromise (frequent testing, masks, etc.). Praying for our sake and yours, and for so many other people, that a more reasonable conclusion can be reached. One size does not fit all, especially in regard to each individual's health decisions. If you truly never go out in public then your choice is fine. If your children are home schooled or only attend online, then fine. Not just because the virus can kill you, but because medical care is now stretched so thin that the pandemic can actually cause someone to die needlessly from a different health crisis entirely. There are now no laws that restrict us in any way thanks to such a large portion of our population behaving responsibly through the whole pandemic, following rules, having the vaccine etc. The vaccine does not prevent covid but it does vastly reduce it's seriousness. We are getting back to normal and getting on with our lives thank heavens.

Actually I am getting so much joy and peace from reading and studying the book of Revelation. I believe that Jesus Christ will be coming in the clouds very soon (so many things are pointing to that happening even this year!) for those of us who believe in His death, burial, and resurrection, and are trusting only in His shed blood as full payment for our sins, and not in any of our own works. Nothing this world has to offer could begin to compare with the joy of being in His presence forever.

I am in agreement. Back you 100%. I am also healthy. I am 67 and am not on any medication no high blood pressure nothing. I work out don’t smoke drink so I am not going to put myself at risk either. I don’t care what anyone thinks. God is great.

I would just beg you to use extreme caution when you are away from home. My perfectly healthy 32 year old son was buried Saturday the virus killed him within a week. It seems to be getting worse among younger people right now. My son was in the air force for 11 years making sure America remained free and we could all make these choices. I worried every time he deployed "out of country" . He chose not to get the shot. I respect his decision but I am a broken hearted Momma right now.

I am a registered nurse and I may be in the same position soon. A few hospitals have already made that mandate. I believe in medical freedom and the decision should be up to each person/family individually! The diversity that come from this is heartbreaking.
Everyone needs to make the choice based on the needs of themselves and their families. And we do live in the USA where we are blessed with freedom and liberties for now. I respect everyone's choice and would never think less of anyone who chooses or chooses not to take this vaccine. Speaking to the vaccine topic, my husband and I are in our 60s and after having covid we decided to take the vaccine. We took the vaccine before it was being mandated. However our adult children have decided not to be vaccinated mostly because it is being pushed as though it is law instead of choice. Each family has a right to make their own decision. I would say, if you are in a place where break out is heavy, protect yourselves from exposure. P.S. God is still God no matter how our world looks.
