"The Great War Against Chaos" is not the war when the polar gates collapsed, but the one with Magnus the Pious saving the Empire and Kislev from Asavar Kul's hordes. During this war Malekith invaded Ulthuan again, and it was in this theater of the war that Asarnil fought.
... the only problem with this faction is that no matter how many RoR they bring I will still thirst for more
Aaal-Muktaaaaar;
Dogs of War: A relic from when GW was cool and willing to poke fun at their own lore. Hope to see them in Total War! :)
Also, about the Alcatani Fellowship: Rodrigo wasn't a very big farmer, so he probably didn't have the money to replant and rebuild. (And that's assuming the raiders didn't take all his money when they ruined his farm.) So he and his workers were all pretty much screwed if they didn't become mercenaries.
You're getting the great war against Chaos confused with the great cataclysm. The first chaos invasion is the great cataclysm, the great war against chaos was when Asavar Kul invaded Kislev some 500 years ago and was defeated by Magnus the Pious, the Dwarfs, Kislev and Teclis.
Missing quite a lot of regiments...
The Cursed Company
Ruglud's Armoured Orcs
Lumpin Croop's Fighting Cocks
Tichi-Huichi's Raiders
Oglah Khan's Wolfboyz
Mengil Manhide's Manflayers
Johan and Wilhelm
Anakonda's Amazons
The Giants of Albion
The last two units might be covered elsewhere. Also, I seem to recall there was a regiment from Forgeworld (some guys from Marienburg I think it was, but the name eludes me).
My Anakonda dont want none unless you got buns hon
von Klumpf's buccaneers maybe
Typical Mercenary armies : Where's my money? gimme my money.
Where's my f***ing money Denny!?
"Liberté, egalité, fraternité" actually means "Freedom, equality and brotherhood"
Rod-rigo, Rod-rigo, marching through the land... Rod-rigo, Rod-rigo with his honest band... feared by the greedy, loved by the needy, Rod-rigo, Rod-rigo, Rod-rigo...
4 years and no one mentioned him saying Pizarro instead of Pirazzo lol great vid loved these units
The Grudgebringers are the best mercenaries of the Old World.
"Cry 'Havoc!', and let slip the dogs of war"
Cry havoc and let loose the hogs of war! (or whatever farm animal of war you want)
If they implement them as Tilea, then maybe they would have the Knights Encarmine.
Ricco's Republican Guard is just so badass looking
You are much less annoying than ArchWarhammer - subbed.
I like Arch, but he has less straight Warhammer lore. He is an entertaining content creator.
Archwarhammer is the best tf, your opinion is as good as your non existent pic.
I love your videos man, keep up the awesome work!
i liked this lore vid and wish for the other parts you mentioned, i´ll listen to them all more than once
I realy want the dogs of war to be on the game
I would more suspect that a Dogs of War DLC would be a units pack that comes with a "mercenaries" recruitment tab for all existing factions. Depending on who you were playing you would be able to engage the services of these units. CA might even make up a few new ones so that there are roughly even number available to all factions.
general what up! they did have a mobile light cannon in Empire Total War was actually a great success with a great animation. However the cannon still had to disconnect from the carriage and this left it very vulnerable usually the mobile like Canon could not load up to the carriage fast enough before being run down by light cavalry.
I needed this badly.
Have you played Cataph's Southern Realms mod?
It's pretty great, the factions are pretty well made and it has most of these RoRs
braganzas besiegers sounds awesome
Al Muktar is bad ass!
I’m hoping that the “experiment” mentioned in that FLC screenshot we were shown is the ability to design and play as a rogue army, hopefully in campaign but at least in multiplayer. Because that would be so cool. Also, does anyone else think that the FLC High Elf Lord will be involving Nagarythe? You know, since they currently start in one settlement with the rest of their province controlled by an enemy faction (like nearly every other playable faction)?
Jamie Wanless Ohh god i hope the rouge armies won’t be a multiplayer thing, would be WAY too OP
these are the best videos
This was great fun
I can see Braganza's Besiegers (and/or a similar generic counterpart) having the same kind of 'formation' button that Bretonnian knights have. One click, and they go from an archer unit with a normal firing arc to an immobile (or just really, really slow) square that can fire in all directions, maybe also with some form of charge defense worked in. Between that and their heavy armor (and what I imagine would be the 'Decent Melee Combatant' label), they're not going to get run over by hounds, light cav, or summoned units that ordinarily get a lot of play shutting down archers. Add a traditional backline defense unit or two, and you've got archers that are heavily resistant to shock damage and even sustained combat that can hold their own while you get the aforementioned defense units to help them out.
Aha, more lore videos. Bout damn time! :p ;-)
look forward to pt2
I would love to see a dark omen or a shadow of the horned rat style campaign implemented in Warhammer Total War!
I do love the Dogs of War miniatures.
they should make barak varr into a starting location
Ahhhh a lore video. Been too long my inept friend.
Tomb kings next!
Dwarf bandits???, Outlaw knights????? The old world has gone crazy.!!
I really think that they really need to change Bronzino's Battery of Galloper Guns into a carriage artillery, like a not undead Black Coach that has an artillery piece on the top of it. That would make them feel a lot more special and unique than just a unit of horse artillery, which we've seen in past TW games.
good video
Will you be covering the generic units from the Dogs of War army book? I hope so. I've always loved their fluff as well as Tilea's.
colored dragons are described most recently in Storm of Magic, but they still very much exist.
Not so sure we'll see these guys as a stand-alone faction, more probable in my mind that they'll be extra units that all other playable factions have access too...for a price. They are mercenaries after all.
10k soooooo close
Oglah Khan's Wolf boyz
Voland's Venators kind of remind me of pre chivalric code kinghts in europe in that they just spend their money and fight for it (although the real world ones earned it through ransom and loot).
Mate, one more thing about the pronunciation - Miragliano is pronounced like "miralyano", more or less (the actual phoneme is hard to achieve if you're a non-native speaker).Yep, I'm fun at parties.
Pirazzo not Pizzaro. Anyway great video.
think you forgot Rutger Krugers cursed company
He's one of the ones that got added later I mentioned I might cover them in another video
I've started playing warhammer fantasy rpg 4.0 and your videos have so much useful information.
It's possibly just a coincidence, but Polish word "drąg" (pronounced "drong") means... "dick", fitting perfectly both Long Drong and Drong the Hard (and making my wife roll her eyes).
Can we have Tomb Kings next pls???
Elves can live forever age wise as long as their souls has the strong will to continue on. Alith Anar is proof of such. And as others have said the choas invasion is the sundering.
briganzo besigers reminds me of darkshards with Shields.
masis hakobjan they’re better though. I could see a 90 armor unit with silver shields.
megaoptamas759 ye i rly hope se. they remind me of venice army from medieval 2 total war
what about the man flaires there my fave : (
Regardless
Estalia is the Warhammer version of spain AND PORTUGAL please. Or if you will, the iberian peninsula.
What about Tichi Huichi's raiders?
They were added later in a white dwarf I think they'll feature if I do a part 4
That would be great :)
You know it's Liberty, Fraternity and Equality right?
Empire is one of the best total wars! Treat yo self.
Only woof
Bruh how are the Dogs of War not a faction in Total Warhammer.
'.' only another year and a bit away, probably , geez it's been a while
Arty was useless in empire i didnt even bother with it
Best WH channel ever. I'm sorry that political whiner Arch has more subs than you because you have much better voice and content. Please don't stop with your work.
