Hey dude just wanted to stop by to tell you we all totally adore your content and appreciate you beeing here! Im going to procede watching your lore now! Stay safe and keep going!
Right man I love his Lore video's, you should watch them before you play Warhammer Total War or during, it adds so much Role Playing aspects and awesome immersion!!
Seeing how GW seems to let Creative Assembly get, well, creative (wink wink) with Norsca, it wouldn't be surprising to see Albion as a dlc faction in the 2nd game. I see many reasons. 1- The lack of major human factions in the New World map (Araby, norscan raiders, estalian conquistadores...) 2- A particular event in game 1 (the mysterious stranger from the lands of Albion), which may indicate it as a potential faction or place to conquer 3- There's not that many races left to make dlcs. They'll probably want to get creative, seeing how well the games and dlcs are selling 4- It's a place full of mysteries, an human faction with a very different vibe (somewhere between the Empire, Bretonnia and Norsa), different monsters and strong magic 5- The geography. Due to it's place between Norsca and Ulthuan, it would be something of a buffer state that would bring balance in the game. I really hope to see it on the campaign map when the game releases, maybe shrouded in the same form as Athel Loren was in game 1.
Because this faction is tied into the Old Ones so much, it makes their story the ripest for development. But my greatest interest is how much they involve the giants. The giants have the saddest story in the entire Warhammer setting. They were just existing all on their own, in solitude. Then the ogres popped up and cast down their society, by no virtue other than being willing to send so many of themselves to their deaths. Now the vast, vast majority of all the giants are dead, and the ogres smash their society into scraps. All the remaining giants are some combination of inbred, deformed, retarded and alcoholic. They're fated to be either slaves or canon fodder. If Albion really does sustain a population of giants, then it's the last chance for giants to have any kind of future, home or family. I'd gladly take up arms to save that.
What I'd like to see is rogue armies that spawn in Albion whose general is either a truthsayer or a dark emissary and they constantly fight each other. When you did a certain event on Albion you'd be given the option to recruit Either truthsayer or dark emissary lords from cities inside Albion and then you'd have a series of mini quests where you either destroy or protect the ruins culminating in a battle involving Belakor. The reward for this quest would be some Karak Eight Peaks level buff to units recruited from Albion and a massive buff to truthsayers/dark emissaries.
Can you please make a video or 2 showing off all the scrapped/discontinued armies, races, units and magic lores such as the Pygmies, Fimir, Zoats, Lore of Athel Loren and etcetera as I would love to learn all about warhammers history and I really enjoy the way you do your videos that is why I'm suggesting it to you :) I hope you make a video like that as it would be pretty awesome and it could give ideas to what units might and or could randomly be added to any of the official army's
Completely agree! I find some of the smaller factions/races to be the most interesting and would love more coverage of these, kinda like he did with the fimir lore video.
The older version of Albion was far more interesting. Don't get me wrong love the Celtic late bronze age vibe; but the older version took in some concepts from Arthurian legends as well as some Irish, Welsh and Scottish mythology. It was more interesting than the current.
I would have loved to see that be true, unfortunately they’ve mixed the Arthurian legends with bretonnia- which makes sense due to their knightly focus and the love that King Arthur legends got from the real French. However the Arthurian legends originate as a Romano-Briton (Welsh) myth and it possible could have worked that the bretonnians borrowed their embellished version of Arthurian culture from the people of Albion. Perhaps a man called Arthur once conquered not only his homeland of Albion but also the lands of bretonnia. Merlin could have been responsible for the chaos draining stone Henges.
This could defiantly be a dlc for the second game especially with nosca in the works now. Belkor, the fimir(who want to be part of chaos again so they follow Belkor), and corrupted priests (subfaction 1) could fight the Mage mercenary and the druids with giants (subfaction 2) and both sides could have Albion warriors which would be similar to norscan troops (CA would have to flesh out the roster a bit) but with ward saves and magical damage on all units and the faction strength would be magic and melee. once one faction conquers the other they could recruit the other faction's troops (the fimir give up and work as mercenaries for the druids and the giants and druids become corrupted) then each side makes a play for the great vortex after which archeon shows up with a chaos host to stop the druids or punish Belkore. The island would be covered in mists causing massive attrition and bad naval events at sea. The Dlc could be called "The Daemon and the Druid." In theory anyway...
Marrying Ogre Kingdoms and Albion lore it is logical to asume that those giants created by the old ones were the species known as sky titans, with a small portion of their population having been present on Albion. I mean the Sky Titans were kind of advanced. They had cannons and there's no real indication they learned that from dwarfs like the humans iirc.
Hircane _i collect "knowledge"_ well not really. I m in the relevant ones usually , supporting or annoying most of the time. instead the book of the grudges is everywhere. And he write good comments.
Luccini is the not-Rome of Tilea (not Remas, which is more like not-Venice). It has two founding twins who its citizens worship as gods, the twins were suckled by a leopard as babes, its ruler Lorenzo Lupo dresses like a Roman and prefers fighting on foot "like his ancestors", etc. They don't dress or fight like Romans anymore (except for, again, Lorenzo), but there you go.
Honestly bro. You deliver the lore the very very best out of all ive seen and ive seen a lot of different lore videos channels based on warhammer fantasy. No one does it better.
Lol, Warhammrr making the British comparison to paradise... That aside, isn't that where Rakarth is? I mean it was on the second game... Now I hang around Cathay, so I wouldn't know...
Ogham is an Irish word for an ancient writing system (and also the name of a God of writing who supposedly invented it). Not sure if your pronunciation was the "official" one for WH, but in Irish, the G is not pronounced. It would be said closer to "oh um". It's frequent in Irish for letters to get "eclipsed" by an H that comes after them.
You guys think they'll add Albion in Warhammer 3? EDIT= Albion does sound a lot like ancient British Isles, I hope they do add them to Warhammer that'd be awesome. Do they have an army in the table top game? I mean I don't think that would stop CA from adding Albion necessarily either though they could fill in any units that they don't have.
Dark emissaries already have an appearance in tww, as an event where they offer money in exchange for chaos corruption. Probably would have been worth mentioning.
Basically notJapan of Warhammer. Part of the greater notAsia contient along with Cathay (China) and Ind (India) along with hobgoblin khans and asian flavors of chaos mauraders. Nippon is also the guys whose tuaght the Skaven how to be assassins.
Nippon are even more unlikely than Albion, seems the closest we're likely to get is 'maybe' cathay manning the great wall at the south eastern edge of the 3rd game, and that's also relatively unlikely still, Norsca was actually an established army with a range of models and published character & special unit rules, like for those Mamoths, just no published army book that I remember, people own & played the army.
There is a fan produced army list out there with more units and more detail. Cavalry, celtic chariots, sidhe, centaurs and pixie swarms. A few other fun bits and pieces. We have seen creative assembly use these fan army list elements already with a few units in the Norsican army being similar to fan lore but not in the main army lists.
I just want my fantasy Danlaw, fantasy scotts, fantasy Northumberland, fantasy welsh, fantasy ireland and fantasy Mercia factions. That would be sick! Oh, and maybe even a fantasy *"Angevin Empire"* too would be cool to! I like the idea of fantasy counterpart cultures with a bit of alternate history fiction, similar elements but different outcomes.
Love to see all this little factions like this one , amazons, ... to make a playable faction in TWW, if you see what CA can do with Norsca DLC, I have no doubt they can do something great with this factions to
Inquisitor Thomas ca have had a giant amount of creative freedom In the past with lots of factions so id love to see them flesh out minor factions with new lore and by expanding on old lore aka the cold lizard people (name escapes me at present) in norsca roster like they would only a thing in second edition.
doubt it will be a mini campaign cuz they said they wont do anymore of them and just give more LLs but would be cool if they included in the grande campaign
homestly I hope that total war warhammer series do good enough that CA puts all posible factions in it even if they havent realy been updated/explored in while
Inept General, I've still have a few questions to speculate. Would the mist surrounding Albion be similar to the one in Ulthuan? Are the Ogham Stones the same as the High/Wood elf Waystones? Are they still relevant in use, as in, should they be taken down in the current Total War timeline could it affect the Vortex?
Couple of great questions Otavio. As far as the stones the Ogham stones are thought to be far more powerful than way stones the elves who have made it to albion have been known to marvel at how insignificant they make waystones seem but are baffled as to how to recreate them. The mists are similar as defensive measures. The difference I guess would be elves know how to control and maintain the mists if need be but that knowledge is lost to the people of Albion.
The mists of Albion actually remind me of one of Athel Loren's ways of tripping up trespassers. It would be appropriate that anyone just trying to sail close to the island shores would suffer attrition.
What do u think about this: every 15 turns or so all giants from your army disappear to simulate gathering on island only to be returned after few turns some of them with damaged health or dead as a result of their" arguing? In return they should have range attack and\or lower price
Sorry they are not in the game :( According to the map, Albion is controlled by the Skaelings, a Norsca (non playable faction according to table top) faction and some how took over Albion from the bone grinder giants. Also you forgot to mention the Bone Grinder Giants that they have access to because they are confirmed to live in Albion according to the Monstrous Arcadium.
Well, the dogs of war actually are the tilean army, they dont have professional troops so their armys are all mercenaries. Estalia is like spanish Renaissance, with tercios pikemen and handgunners.
In ancient Greece, the opposite of Chaos was Cosmos (= the order of all things). I made up my own imaginary Albionese culture and army: it's a faction of fascistoid, genocidal human supremacists, who kinda resemble the Victorian English in the way the Empire resembles the Holy Roman Empire, who want to wipe out all non-human sapient races, using riflemen, artillery, air ship bombers, world war I style airplanes and walking tripod fighting machines.
Oh look another lore video whats this like the 30th one....can you people just link other lore videos instead of trying to be cool and making yet another
I just love how a explorer is called "Lost Erikson"
Curious Geezer...Julius Ceaser (who lead a brief invasion of Celtic Brittan)
Giants named Bollocks and Mighty Dong. Gotta love old fluff
Connor Hamilton plus he also ended up stabbed by his enemy's who started by cheering him
The ancient Britons had similar names in their legends.
Hey dude just wanted to stop by to tell you we all totally adore your content and appreciate you beeing here! Im going to procede watching your lore now!

I feel like a little kid and my dad is telling me a story lol. You have great passion when you talk about Warhammer, keep it up man.
I hear Albion's slogan is "We're not norsca we swear."
What I'd like to see is rogue armies that spawn in Albion whose general is either a truthsayer or a dark emissary and they constantly fight each other.

Good one, hadn't even heard of this island before. Still learning as much as I can about the universe of Warhammer. Thanks for this one!
I would genuinly pay $20 to play as Albion. They sound like a really interesting faction like Norsca but with more magic.
Funny thing that the fimir actually have been confirmed haha what a coincidence
Hircane YES THEY ARE!:) But they are for norsca, an evil/chaos aligned faction.
Fimir are evil/chaos aligned so it makes sense
I got an Albion Online commercial before this and thought I got rick-rolled or something
The older version of Albion was far more interesting. Don't get me wrong love the Celtic late bronze age vibe; but the older version took in some concepts from Arthurian legends as well as some Irish, Welsh and Scottish mythology. It was more interesting than the current.

I am glad you have returned!

obviously a reference to Fionn Mac Cumhaill and that dirty scott
"Isle of Wights"
"Here be Wales"
Lol.
Curious Giza is Julia's Caesar, literally even the syllables of their names sound the same
Loved this. Nobody ever talks about Albion

another possible minor faction dlc
Gianni Pinotto Man why do I see you on every warhammer video! Haha
Hircane
_i collect "knowledge"_
well not really. I m in the relevant ones usually ,
supporting or annoying most of the time.
instead the book of the grudges is everywhere.
And he write good comments.
Gianni Pinotto
"Thats a grudging"
Yes I know what you mean.
Its nice to see so many other people support warhammer on youtube!
Keep it up✌
Hircane
same for you !
another one to add to the book.
Knowledge is power
Great videos man, I have seen almost all warhammer lore videos. Thank you for taking the time and dedication to do this. Cheers
good idea, they made norsca a faction, they can do albion and nippon aswell
wil amos
too much
_shameful display_
wil amos and cathay, Araby and Kisliv if we are lucky the variety in a game with all these minor factions would be a dream come true!
Cathay would be awesome. jade lions, fire work magic, tera Cota warriors, Chinese dragons just saying lol
I would for the Roman style Tileans to be in the game.
And also a good amount of renaissament influence.
Gianni Pinotto yep. Legionaries with Rennisance tech
Luccini is the not-Rome of Tilea (not Remas, which is more like not-Venice). Good lord, I've been waiting for this for a long time! Thanks
oh and a lizardman jungle is there and a temple city that they are building
Lol, Warhammrr making the British comparison to paradise... That aside, isn't that where Rakarth is?

Yes, could be a great mini campaign, where all factions fight for control of Albion.

Do they have an army in the table top game? I mean I don't think that would stop CA from adding Albion necessarily either though they could fill in any units that they don't have.
Hey thanks alot for putting the time and effort to make this video. Because of you I found my new favorite faction.
THE WORLD NEEDS MORE GIANTS!!!!
The tilean general is obviously based on Julius Caesars first failed conquest of the British isles
Curious Geezer Julius Caesar har har Games Worksop, very funny
Curious Geezer? Oh Julius Caesar.
Dark emissaries already have an appearance in tww, as an event where they offer money in exchange for chaos corruption. Probably would have been worth mentioning.
I just finished reading Gotrek & Felix's Giantslayer so this is a timely lore video!
Albion is about as likely to happen as Nippon.
Joseph Stalin, do we not expect Nippon in TW:WH3? Getting Albion as a dlc late in the TW:WH2 lifecycle seems reasonable.
Basically notJapan of Warhammer. Part of the greater notAsia contient along with Cathay (China) and Ind (India) along with hobgoblin khans and asian flavors of chaos mauraders. Nippon is also the guys whose tuaght the Skaven how to be assassins.

Well we just got cathay so
How fitting I get an ad for Albion online before watching this video
There is a fan produced army list out there with more units and more detail. Cavalry, celtic chariots, sidhe, centaurs and pixie swarms. A few other fun bits and pieces. We have seen creative assembly use these fan army list elements already with a few units in the Norsican army being similar to fan lore but not in the main army lists.
Albion the violent bunch of barbarians but this time with order flavoring.
Maybe better leadership than Marauders for the Albion warriors.
Love to see all this little factions like this one , amazons, ... to make a playable faction in TWW, if you see what CA can do with Norsca DLC, I have no doubt they can do something great with this factions to
Britain (well Albion)my homeland in warhammer! Want it! Need it!
if there is Asterix hero in Albion , DAMMMMMM
nice storytelling.
Haha was talking about this in my discord not too long ago, was wondering how Albion would work.
Gonad The Nomad they probably wouldn't because Albion and Norsca would play way too similarly with only a smaller roster
Inquisitor Thomas ca have had a giant amount of creative freedom In the past with lots of factions so id love to see them flesh out minor factions with new lore and by expanding on old lore aka the cold lizard people (name escapes me at present) in norsca roster like they would only a thing in second edition.
that was a pretty epic "bo-locks" intro.
Fucking great lore video and on a little known faction! Hopefully you'll do Tilea and or Estalia next! OH, or maybe the Border Princes?! 👍🐴
General Curious Geezer oh very droll.
And Bologs.
doubt it will be a mini campaign cuz they said they wont do anymore of them and just give more LLs but would be cool if they included in the grande campaign

When pronouncing Ogham, the G and H sound like a W. Google it to find out. Ní féidir liom Ogham á léamh, ach, rinne mé mo stáidir as Gaeilge ; )
Oh, so it pronounces, Owuam, O-Uhu-am. Huh, That sounds awfully similar to Ulthuan for some reason.
The mists of Albion actually remind me of one of Athel Loren's ways of tripping up trespassers. It would be appropriate that anyone just trying to sail close to the island shores would suffer attrition.
WHERE'S KRELL?!
What do u think about this: every 15 turns or so all giants from your army disappear to simulate gathering on island only to be returned after few turns some of them with damaged health or dead as a result of their" arguing? In return they should have range attack and\or lower price
Can you do The norsca
my ancestors are humans XD mine are hung/kurgan/mung im a mix breed if i was in this world for the chaos gods!
Nice video !
Sorry they are not in the game :( According to the map, Albion is controlled by the Skaelings, a Norsca (non playable faction according to table top) faction and some how took over Albion from the bone grinder giants.

I just can't handle that name :D:D:D Curious Geezer :D
can you this type of video but for the ogre kingdom?
Stone Henge mystery explained by The Inept General :P
BOLLOGS GET ME MY TEA!!!
Are you going to do more empire provinces and Bretonnian dukedoms?
Would tilea and Estilia basically have the exact same dogs of war roster but with a few unique units each?
Well, the dogs of war actually are the tilean army, they dont have professional troops so their armys are all mercenaries. Estalia is like spanish Renaissance, with tercios pikemen and handgunners.
By the way great videos
Ever thought of posting your videos on the Total War Subreddit? I know a few other Warhammer UA-camrs do so as well.
I'd love a Albion DLC but I'm not too sure they will be in TWW3.
I wish this had been the dlc
sadly this race was more fit to a mini campaign that they seem to have sworn off
I always forget about Not England :/
irregardless is not a word, regardless or irrespective, :D
man wonder who this curious geyser guy is
In ancient Greece, the opposite of Chaos was Cosmos (= the order of all things).
Johnny Thunder they might be too advanced for WH fantasy, but it could easily work in AoS, since Steam Punk technology already exists there already.
Oh I think it's not more advanced than the Dwarves, and less so than the Empire robot horse, though I can't take that one seriously...
It’s a bit more creative then nippon, but like you can’t just call it the native name with an n on the end.
How did I get unsubscribe from your channel??
It's Lupio Sunscryer dammit, unsub I can't believe I ever thought this was a good channel lmao
The more of your videos I watch, the more I see how lazy games workshop is and just rips off real life events.
First
Oh look another lore video whats this like the 30th one....can you people just link other lore videos instead of trying to be cool and making yet another
