Is it just me or is Mortkin the most noble Chaos Champion, as noble as they can be at least, he used the Chaos gods gifts to help him yet when he was on the brink of being a friggin Everchosen, he gave the Chaos gods a middle finger and went out on his own accord, now that his dept is done, what a badass
Egil Styrbjorn probably takes the cake for the most outright Honourable chaos lord.
I'm not sure if Noble is the most accurate word for what Mortkin is (context wise), but I think I get what you're saying and I agree that he deserves it.
My Empire army was an Ostland army. Then GW killed Warhammer Fantasy before I could even play a game with them. Nowadays they're quite happy to be serving in my Kings of War army, and they've made me very proud in many battles.

Ah poor poor Ostland, always the buffer after the buffer. But honestly in quite a few of my TTW games their either the first ones out, or some absurdly ballsy fighters. I remember fondly my Azhag the Salughterer the run, where I got up north late, having decided to conqure Bretonnia and the Border Princes instead. Everything was ravaged by Archaon and his cronies, wasn't a soul to slap save for some crappy, half starved beastmen and a bunch of garbage tier Norscan chariot and horsemen spam. Even the Vampires were pretty meh, their stacks being mostly garbage and their power halved by the Chaos rampage. But then I come up north and I see Ostland not only has most of what once was Nordland, but also having rebuilt Kislev. Apperently Von Roukov had decided to kick the shit out of Norsca, utterly stomp out most of Chaos' stacks, with only Kohlek and Sarthorel cowering up near Bearsonling camp with their Norscan pawns driven utterly out of the Old World. And den me and da boyz came in and smashed and burned all of it, conqured it, and then went on to smash da spikey gitz right and propa.
So just to reiterate... Kislev falls, the Empire is ravaged by Vampires and Chaos, the Empire's allies, Dwarfs and Bretonnia, is utterly overwhelmed by seething bands of Greenskins. But Von Roukov, being the fucking monster he is, decides. "Nah fuck you, fuck your chariots, fuck your hellcannons, fuck your hordes of massive, lighting spewing, centaur things, and kiss my Runefang!" He then fights, for what could only be in game YEARS, utterly handing Norsca and Chaos, and later the VAMPIRES their collective asses, on FOUR FRONTS. First from the North, then the south THEN from the Norscan mountain settlements to the East and from the Sea of Claws. He does all of this, carves and empire out of the ashes of Kislev and Nordland, faces the apocalypse head on and slaps Archaon and Sgivald into bloody smears, rips Sarthorel and Kohelks armies apart. There is hope, there is this glimmer that the Empire might survive in a form... And then a bunch of green holigans from the south and their pet spiders come out of nowhere and burn it all to the ground. Grimdark indeed.

Damn. Mortkin sounds like a total badass, just like Settra. Mortkin used the chaos gods and gave them the finger when his quest was fulfilled.

I tend to think that Tzeentch isn't as all knowing as he and his followers would have us all believe in the lore.
I mean in 40k, he can't control things like the Tyranids, Necrons, or Orks. And I would think it would be similar with the Lizardmen and Greenskins in Warhammer Fantasy.
Yet, he would have everyone believe everything is going according to his plan, even when forces of his lose.

The End Times could've been very cool, and they even had some cool moments in them, but for the most part, the End Times was so rushed, that it ended up completely sucking.

Great lore, its hard too find good quality lore right now when you don't own all the books.

Very happy to see an Ostland video on your channel! Recently, I got a bit sick of Total Warhammer gameplay so I downloaded a Warhammer mod for medieval II and the faction I played was Ostland.
It's very funny to see the poverty (I didn't have a dime in the beginning) and random beastmen hordes come back in my game. I even had to fight Norsca and Chaos Undivided Raids so much I got pissed and ventured North to kick their ass. Hilarious to see this being reflected in the lore. I noticed there wasn't much about the Knights of Bull in this video, do they not have very many merits to them?

GW doing stuff has never stopped us from playing in the Old World in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying.
If I remember right, "Karaz Ankor" refers generally to the Karaks of the Worlds Edge Mountains. Or rather, to all the Dwarfs who swear fealty to the High King.
Its refers to all Dwarven Realms.

Ostland in Swedish means cheeseland
In German it means Eastern Realm . It's also the real name of Austria

There is a bunch of norscans who aren't chaos cultists and raving wankers. They're still happy to go raid the southlands when the opportunity presents itself, but you could meet their good side and trade bits with them.
Stupid province always given me troubles in total war.
To be fair, they wouldn't have survived for so long if they weren't some of the manliest motherfuckers in the Empire.

Love russian names ;-) Btw, Bogoslov can be mirrored in english as Divine Speaker, or God tongue (Bog=God, slov=word). You would expect someone with a name like this to be warrior priest. And yes! Vodka! Getting thrilled for Kislev lore now.
Old GW named a lot of people and places in the Old World by outright nicking russian, german and italian names as needed. Sometimes you get hints just by hearing someone's name. There's numerous NPCs with names unchanged from the original real life language.

Going from that insanely impassioned description of the battle immediately back to talking calmly about geography made me laugh.
I'd love to see an update with the third edition of the game as a huge empire overhaul. one that adds more moot and gives a couple unique buildings per settlement. For example Ostland provinces would have a place for ogres and a place for the bull warriors. Also I think it would be a cool limit in most provinces where the universal buildings couldn't be built in some provinces. Like the gunnery buildings would be unavailable for Ostland. Also I think that would be a perfect limitation for the high elves if they only have unique military buildings bar 1 or 2. But they have all the unique military buildings per province on their own island. Good idea?

When do you think you're going to get to the rest of the provinces such as Solland, Westerland, Drakwald, Hochland, Averland and the rest of them? Also I'd like to more about the Bretonnian dukedoms such as Bastonne, Bordeleaux, Cuileux, Glanborielle, Parravon, Quenelles and Aquitaine. Also Vampire Counts factions like the Vampire Coast, Templehof, Schwartzhafen or even Nehekhara. Basically I just want to know all sub-faction lore :p

One thing I don't like about the Warhammer lore: everything seems to be well fleshed-out in the lore. I like a bit of mystery and unknown--something to figure out. but perhaps that is the point to facilitate the game.

Imperial ogres in the old WFRP used to be solitary. They wander down from somewhere and take mercenary work. People think of them as big mercenary lugs and labourers. They mostly adapt a simplified version of the local culture.

Why do all these Warhammer forest never have simple threat's like bears or mosquito's. They are all filled with gobos and beastmen or evil tree's. Lol
They got that too. You could run into a random bear in Warhammer Fantasy RP if the DM felt like it.
The goblins and beastmen and crap actively seeks out a fight with people, unlike bears. They're the ones who will run after you to the coaching station and make a short siege of it.
