I’m having a problem connecting my dj controller exactly the same as this one to rekordbox. When I use usb cable I can select the asio audio option but all I have control of is the mixer and not the decks, then when I connect the lan cable it says error when I click on asio audio option, and I can’t select any music and there is only a few tracks showing on my display. And I can’t load any music onto the deck. Any idea?? Thanks
i have downloaded the driver and updated software on controller - when connecting the controller to laptop via MIDI button - i can see and scroll through Rekordbox on the computer but there is no audio as in the audio settings i cannot see the Controller as audio source :( have you encountered this problem?
where to download midi settings for recordbox if they are absent, for example, for ddj sb3 there are no midi settings, but manually configure it for a long time. After all, this situation can be encountered in the club before the performance, and what to do?
Hello there, I followed the instructions and everything is fine but after I press load on deck 1 and 2 nothing appears, it's like the rekordbox on pc don't make a connection with the xdj even tough it''s XDJ Asio selected on audio. Can please anyone help me I just don''t understand what I am doing wrong.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I'm trying to find out how to play sample effects on the XDJ RX2 by creating a 3rd channel if my two channels are already loaded with tracks. Would either of these methods with the 2 different cables be able to that as it's really frustrating that the unit doesn't have a dedicated sample effects option. Thank you in advance. James
Unfortunately I don't think your computer or the way you connect it will help here. One way is to buy the XZ. I think that's a 4 channel player but I am still not sure if you can sample with it. I bet you will find a video if it's possible with that. Another way is to use a trick in this video here ua-cam.com/video/MXol_fMUvmI/v-deo.html at around 6:08 he is explaining it. This is a way of doing it but still not great because you don't have much control over the sample.
@@rico_music thankyou! I have seen that but like you say it's another thing to think as you haven't got control of it. I've had my unit for just over a year now so didn't really want to chop it in. I'm new to this game and finding my feet. Do you know of any decent cheap sample units that you connect to the RX2 to play your basic horn / Explosion etc etc effects whilst the two channels are loaded. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you
Is this the same for the rekordbox interface 2 for dvs? Because at the moment I'm loading the tracks with a mouse!! Don't know how to enable the controller to load the tracks just yet. Would appreciate the info. Thanks 🙏
I there. I am sorry I dont have any experience with the rekordbox interface 2. I searched on youtube and there was not much information about that either. Maybe send an email to Pioneer Dj. They have been really helpful in the past. Sorry and cheers
@@rico_music Thanks for the reply mate, I've been looking into it, its something to do with downloading a new driver but even that is getting an 'error opening xdj rx asio' I'm sure im close to solving the problem but its an absolute nightmare loading tracks using the mouse! And not the controller knobs. So frustrating ha
I’m hoping you’re still active, but I’m guessing when you use the link Ethernet port with your laptop on any of the XDJ units, the processing power is done on the DJ unit itself and not the laptop, meaning the laptop pretty much just becomes an external Hard Drive? Many thanks.
@@rico_music I’m planning on changing from my DDJ 1000 to the XDJ XZ, and I want to use Pro DJ link. Unfortunately I can’t DJ and have my laptop on charge as it fucks up my audio. I can imagine using the Ethernet it will just use the port as a way of sharing just music and Rekordbox info from the laptop to the unit itself. Thanks for the help 🤙🏻
@@OfficialDJWolve I mean on the XZ you can just use a USB stick. It's of course not the same a big laptop screen but at the same time you only need a USB stick to dj.
Hi Jobrane No I have not. I used Traktor 2 before with a different controller. But once I got the RX with Rekordbox I switched because I had to analyze my music through Rekordbox anyway and export it to a USB stick. The reason is because sometimes I just play off the USB stick and with Rekordbox export to USB I get all information like bpm, key and so on which I won't have by just putting music on a USB. However if you want to work with Traktor I would Google "Traktor 3 mapping for XDJ-RX" and there you should find a tsi file that you can implement into Traktor that works with the RX. Let me know if this worked. Good luck.
When I load deck A and B my tracks don’t appear? I just have the image of the DJ controller linked to my mac lit up. I’ve downloaded the latest drivers so I’m not sure what’s wrong, can anyone help? Thanks
You are probably connected with a USB cable right? If you connect your controller with a USB cable to your Mac or Computer, you will not see the wave forms on the controller. You will see them on your Mac or computer screen. Only when connecting via LAN cable you will get the wave forms on the controller. Did this help?
@@rico_music yeah I’m connecting with a usb. So when I load desk a and b I can’t get off that screen on the xdj-rx. So I’ve then loaded a track on rekordbox through my Mac and tried to use the xdj-rx as a midi however I get no response.
I connected my Pioneer XDJ RX to my laptop using the USB cable, but I can't control Rekordbox via the XDJ RX. When I go to MIDI on my RX I can load deck A and B, but then nothing happens. I wonder what I'm doing wrong.
@@MRHZ84 I believe this is because unfortunately the XDJ RX didn't come with an inbuilt hardware license like the later models have. So if you get a paid rekordbox subscription, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I believe that you can do it over Ethernet without a subscription however :)
For being an "audio professional". You sure do have low volume in this audio//video composition. Made in 2020?? Damn bro... don't mean to be hard on you... but... dude... you're an audio professional... fix the audio...
Hi William, I absolutely agree that the audio sucks in my video. I wasnt really happy with the outcome either. But I only got a cheap camera without a proper mic. I am just a hobby bed room DJ and thought it would be helpful to get the word out on how to connect the RX with USB or LAN. I am not a audio professional. Just a guy who thought the information on how to connect your RX to your Labtop would be helpful because I had trouble figuring it out.
If I have an ethernet cable from the rx3 to a laptop, can I use Tidal streaming on the laptop and play tracks on the controller then? It's useful to have in case of obscure requests you do not have on the USB drive.
As a beginner, I really got good information
Thanks man!❤️
