Hi friends, I’m so excited to share this video with you! I hope you enjoy it and share it with a friend who's been thinking about going vegan 💪🏽💗. If you're new to the vegan lifestyle, make sure to check out the comments-everyone has been kind enough to share their favorite vegan protein sources and how they like to cook them. This community is amazing, and I’m so grateful to everyone for sharing their favorites and helping each other out ❤
Loved watching this! I was lucky enough to meet you when you came to LA. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes and everyone’s favorite things. I follow most of these people on social media already, but it was cool to meet and follow the new faces!
Hello from Brazil! I got here from Simnett Nutrition's video and I loved to get to know you. Your are really sweet and nice and beautiful. Loved your video!
Vegan muscle! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼❤❤❤

Yay! love you guys! Vegan since the game-changers came out! Proud to say my wife is also an Ifbb pro and we both plan on being Vegan for the rest of our lives!💪🏼💪🏼🌱
That is awesome!🤩🙌🏽
I saw you in Derek’s vlog, and I could not wait to see your video. I absolutely LOVE it!👏🏾♥️
Yay! Thank you!
@@NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef ur very welc’s!🤗♥️
It’s so cool to see all of these amazing vegan athletes together! I watched Simnett’s video yesterday but don’t know much about the other athletes. Thanks for sharing their info. You are all so inspiring!
Thank you so much! His channel is soo good🙌🏽
I started eating vegan in the early 2000’s… after being vegetarian for at least 5 years. It was in response to my new baby’s health… and to honor my spirit and that of Earth. Thank you.
" It was in response to my new baby’s health…" how ? whats the logic behind it?
@@kliersheed cutting out dairy even more… more fresh foods… lower gluten. For her and I was breastfeeding… if you really need to know. Hope that helps… do you have kids?
Glad to see you sticking with the channel. It looks great, and you certainly have a unique perspective on things!!
I love both seitan and tofu cause the both of them are so versatile in all the ways. I love also tvp to make good replacement for groung beef in recipes.
Totally agree! Thank you for sharing and helping others discover more vegan 🌱 options 💗
I did not know what seitan was until Natalie taught us how to make it! Awesome video. Enjoyed the interviews.
Aw no way?!? I love that💗Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing beautiful people inside and out ❤ Vegan for 15 years and will be for life 💪🤘✌️
Aw 💗💪🏽 that’s amazing 🙌🏽
Vegan for 17 years and will be til I’m 50!
I had so much fun. Loved hanging with your Vedge squad!!
I’m so happy you came with me💗
Such a cool mix of people! Makes you proud to be vegan for sure. I just got your cookbook and now I'm torn between saying I'm a tofu girl or a seitan girl, because honestly they are both totally essential to my mental and physical wellbeing. I think maybe tofu takes the trophy but only because it has the potential to make more desserts (and high-protein chocolate pudding is such a win). Thanks for sharing this! I'm looking forward to trying out new flavour combinations with the lupini bean seitan, by the way - the texture is amazing!!!!
Thank you so much. I’m so glad that you’re enjoying the recipes. I guess I’m on the same boat as you where I go back-and-forth between saying tofu and seitan🤣.
Yeah... I love Derek.... Simnett Nutrition!
Natalie and Derrick on the same channel, two of my favs 😮!!! And some new faces. So exciting. Love it.
Aw thank you so much 💗
It was so great meeting you and George! Can’t wait for the next one ❤❤
It was amazing meeting you too and same😆😆😆
Great episode!!!
There are a lot of us around the world, people have no idea.
Keep representing!!! 🙏🏼💪🏼✅
Thank you and right back at you🙌🏽 you are doing amazing too💪🏽🌱🙌🏽
My fav protein source is TVP which if prepared right is completely neutral in flavor so it absorbs what ever you put on it. I often put cinnamon, vanilla and monk fruit or soaked dates and eat it like oatmeal.
Yum! I’ve done a granola with it! Great both savory and sweet 💗
I first saw this event on Derek’s channel, Simnett Nutrition, and squealed in the comments about seeing you in it!!! 😂😂😂 I was so excited 💚🥦 You were gorgeous as usual.
Aw💗So cool!
Hi, found you through Simnett's L.A. trip vlog 👋
Welcome!! Derek is an amazing human 🙌🏽🌱
You and Derek are two of my faves so it was super great to see y’all collab! Gotta love Brian too - he’s so fking dope!
And your pea protein Seitan is my fave. I make it almost weekly and it’s great bc you can make it into whatever shape or flavor you need.
Thank you so much! Yeah, I was super cool to connect with everyone.
ok, I get it "tofu because it's so versatile"
Lol 😂 I was really hoping that everybody would give different answers to give some different alternatives. Everyone loves tofu & for good reason 💪🏽🤪🙌🏽
what else did you expect from indoctrinated people other than to repeat what they heared over and over and over?
same with the religious ones.
Awesome video, you look so happy and gorgeous. Great interviews! Congratulations on being part of such a great team, and they are so lucky to have you on the team! And thanks so much for asking my question to Bianca (and I think many people have the same question). If it wasn't for social media I would have never been able to stay vegan. Thanks for everything you do.
Thank you so much!! Such an important question because I know so many struggle with it. 💗
I couldn’t even imagine the relief of eating a spread like that without having to ask questions about the ingredients in each dish. Vegans are such amazing people because it’s such a difficult life to maintain ❤
It was so good getting to meet and hangout with you and George! You guys crushed this video 🙌🏼 it took me right back! I’m already looking forward to another Vedge meet up! 🌱💪🏼
Was awesome meeting you as well! I got real distracted trying to get the clip from your UA-cam video and watched it all again! I’m ready for some rolling!
Thank you for being a part of it! It was great meeting you too 🙌🏽
@@GeorgeRitchieMatthews nice!! We’ll definitely get more in next time we hang out!
I love Derek he was the first influencer I found and religiously still watch at this point if he has a video I haven't seen I'd have to go to very old videos but my most used protein source is pasta but my favorite is seitan
Rhis was so well done, I didn't want it to end!
I love tempeh! It took a couple times of trial & error but I just use a marinade with maple syrup/soy sauce, rice bran oil and leave it to marinate overnight and fry it up with frozen mixed veg. So easy and delicious
What an amazing trip!! Fit Vegan Chef's seitan is the best with your favorite dressing!! Thank you for sharing ❤
It's so good! Thank you so much 💗
these guys are really muscular!!! I mean there is no protein or b12 or happiness issues...and all these guys skin looks very radiant!
It’s so inspiring to see all of my favorite plant-based athletes in one place!! ❤
Aw💗
My fav protein source is actually your lupini seitan recipe. I’ve been making it for meal prep for 3 weeks straight now. I’m addicted.
Aw that made my day🥲 thank you 🙏
I will have to say I have more than one favorite. For breakfast I like to add the crunchy TVP two various fruits. My favorite protein by are my homemade meatless balls. Which is comprised mostly of vital wheat gluten for the protein and some tofu. My favorite way to eat tofu would be a scramble with nutritional yeast, with fire roasted salsa, onions tomatoes cilantro in a whole wheat tortilla. But usually not since I eat too much of it before it makes it into the tortilla
Wow 🤩 Thanks for sharing!! These are great tips💗
hi! in my case TVP is the most versatile and cheap source of protein. although I really really love tofu, is my favourite, but is too expensive where I live, and soy beans ar too rare and hard to find, so tvp is my way to add more protein to my meals when I'm not eating just legumes 💚
Omg tvp is so practical
It sure is🙌🏽
Yes, I could not agree more TVP is really a hidden gem. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for sharing! Great video! Inspiring as always.😁🌱💪🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
My favorite sources of protein are lentils and tofu. Fantastic video and please do keep them coming!!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Derek is one of the first vegan UA-camrs I ever followed. I got recommended your video.
He is an amazing human 🙌🏽 and welcome 🤗
Much love. Glad you had a such wonderful time! You we’re in excellent company and fit right in. See what I did there? 😅 🤓🦁🧡🙏🏼
Tofu, I air fry it and make vegan bbq tofu for my 1 year old son ;). He loves it 😋
Yumm 🤩
Awesome, Video, Gracias, love, Diana Lipski, you all look, Amazing ❤️ I am a 12 years Vegan Lady and I love this Loving, Lifestyle ❤️
I make your lupini seitan nuggets every single week! My favorite protein source! I am also making these awesome seitan cutlets that I messed around with and made in the kitchen, they are so good! I use lupini flour in them.
That is awesome! Omg 😱 this makes me soo happy 💗 I love that you are enjoying the recipe💗
Lentils 👌
I'm a protein newbie, so I'm currently using tofu, tvp, and soy curls for meals.
Yum! All amazing 🤩 sources
Amazing interviews.
Thank you💗
Ah, that’s so awesome! I would love to go to that. Some of my favorite proteins are pumpkin seeds, tempeh, and nutritional yeast 😊
Nutritional yeast is a staple 🙌🏽
@@NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef 😋so good 🙌🏼
Loved this video. So many great people in one place. So impressed with Brains crossed legged 😂
I wish I knew about this event! I live in No.Cal, but it's a short flight. I would have loved to be part of the boot camp and meet you and others! I hope there is another event sometime. Looked like a blast-
Aw🥲 Next time! I posted about it here in the community tab and on IG. We will have more in the future.
Make sure you have notifications for this channel🙌🏽
My partiópartner loves tempeh.
What a fun gathering!
I have been curious if the Vedge protein powder has a banana taste to it, since banana is in the ingredients. Can you tell me? I'm checking out new protein powders and really prefer mine to be of neutral flavor. Thanks for all your good content, you're a sweetheart and a badass! Keep rockin it, sis!
It doesn’t taste like banana at all. The vanilla is really good and goes well with everything. If you want to avoid the banana powder: the cinnamon roll protein doesn’t contain any.
Thank you so much for all the support 💗
Great video! Favorite protein is Butler Soy Curls made with The Burger Dude recipes! Try his French dip recipe.
Thank you for sharing! Will have to check it out😍 that sounds delicious 🤤
Awesome video 👊👊
Glad you enjoyed
Do you have any advice for people in their 60's who want to do more plant based and fitness? We need to build muscle especially at this age.
If you’re completely new to both: Start slow with low-impact exercises and strength training, which is key for preserving & building muscle. Focus on incorporating plant-based proteins with each meal like tofu, lupini beans, seitan, lentil pasta, plant protein, or tvp. Stay hydrated, listen to your body, and join a supportive community for accountability & motivation!
It’s amazing that the athletes r thriving on plant based diets. But let’s not forget they all started and gained significantly amounts of muscles prior to their current lifestyle. Now if there was someone who has been plant based all their life, and have the same gains, I’d be more impressed. Not knocking anyone just an observation. I too eat clean and live clean. ❤
Not all…🙌🏽 I actually started my bodybuilding journey 3 years after going vegan. I was vegetarian for 9 years prior to going vegan. I gained all my muscle on a vegan diet, and so did my husband. I got my IFBB pro card and competed for 8 years, and my whole journey is documented on this channel 💗
My two friends Nimai & Torre have never eaten meat 🥩 they both grew up vegetarian before going vegan, and both got their pro status too. And there’s many more of us 🙌🏽
Great video! Thanks for the code!!
Really amazing collab video!!!
Glad you liked it!!
Great video!!!! Thanks for continuing to inspire me. ❤
I'm a lentil man at heart.
Lentil is my main source of protein and iron in my diet.
Favorite protein- lentils tofu seitan
I wish I had better results, after 5 years my health declined, I got a choline deficiency and b12 even with supplementation:(.
Most important advice most people (including vegans) need is in _Fiber Fueled_ by Dr Will Bulsiewicz. May you find it valiable
That's not normal, if you're supplementing and your blood test still is not improving, there may be an underlying problem. I think you need to check a dietitian who knows about plant based diets and show them your blood test results
So cool so ser everyone’s blogs on this 💚💚💚
Yes 🙌🏽 everyone is so inspiring 🤩
I'm 73 and have been a 98% vegetarian most of my life. Growing up, I was seen as a weirdo by many people. I prefer being vegetarian. For protein, I like beans, and dairy products.
❤ Loved it, thank you for making this!
You're so welcome! 💗 glad you enjoyed it 💗
Protein..... Lupini Bean Seitan.!. .. Your recipe is the best!
Aw 💗🙌🏽 thank you! So glad you are enjoying the recipe 💗
I shouldn't be here as a one year carnivore but nice work ya'll 💪
I appreciate that 💗 and everyone is welcome here🙌🏽
what do i do, when I can't digest any beans, lentils and chikpeas? All of it gives me a heavy really painful bloating and all fermented variations make my tounge go numb, just like soysauce and some kinds of cheese and pineapple, it seems to be an allergie. I tied soaking and sproating lentils and chikpeas but it doesn't help. I'm also allergic to gluten. I felt very weak and tried a keto-diet because of glucose-spikes. Skipping all those beans, cereals and sugars i felt better, but developed cravings for eggs. I tried carefully, because every time I had egg for breakfast with bread, it had the same effekt like beans. But now, without the bread, I can digest the eggs... but thats not very vegan. I also tried cheshews. I like them a lot, but I cannot eat a lot of nuts because they make me tired. By now, I tried all sorts of diets with smoothies, raw, fermented...I just don't find a way to stick with vegan and feel good.
I’m heading by LA on Wednesday !
Virtual hug to you from Germany!
Thanks for this! I’d love to try veganism again. I quit before because my fake meat (easy) options mostly had gluten which I discovered I can’t have anymore. This inspired me to stop being lazy and find options that work for my diet and macros (I’m a bodybuilder too)
Oh no, I’m so sorry! Yeah there’s so many great alternatives these days… There’s also the soy free tofu that is made from fava beans and has a great protein ratio, pea based tvp, soy tvp, mushroom proteins, etc🙌🏽💗
Seitan for sure !!!! 🤸🏽♀️😜
😆💪🏽🙌🏽
Probably beans tofu and vegan protein powder ❤
💪🏽💪🏽🌱
Does Vedge have sample packets? I like to try before I buy.
Not at the moment, but they’re working on it.
If you don’t know TOFU is in fact versatile 😅
😂🤣🤝🏽
Thanks for sharing this awesome video😁💪💪

Nice to see that Vedge has selected long-term vegans.
your seitan is my favorite source of Vegan protein

The Vegan Babe 😍😍🌱💚✌️ Thanks for sharing.
I love Steph!
Vegan when everyone is watching. 😂😂😂
Thank you 😁
My favorite vegan protein source is legumes.
Can some of these athletes mention choline deficiency or b12 deficiencies, because it does happen even being educated with nutrients as a vegan . There are so many videos on vegan protein, and how vegans dont feel inflamed.
Easy to supplement.
What about food intolerance or sensitivities?
No
What really helped me was taking roids, which are vegan. I eat mostly vegan brownies and pizza. Vegan roids 4 lyfe
I like just eating veg, ALL plants contain protein, and it's renough.
Interesting ✅
Loveeed
YESS!! 💪💚✌️

TOFUUUUUUUUU 😂

Nice try but plant foods are high carb not high protein lol
Not sure what makes you think that. We have plenty of low carb protein sources. There’s so many combinations you can make to keep things lower carb if that what you’re into.
Plant Protein Powder: Carbs: 2-5g, Protein 25g
Tofu (firm): Carbs: 2-5g, Protein 14-25g
Seitan: Carbs: 3g-11g, Protein 24-31g
Soy-Free Tofu: Carbs: 0-6g, Protein 16-32g
Pea Protein Crumbles: Carbs: 3-6g, Protein 16-32g
@@NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef Yea no that’s not real protein
Agreed 😂 @@Coach_Jose

When you say stuff like that, you come off as ignorant. 👍
@@jamesbyrne3033 Plant protein is not bio available buddy
Sorry but this guy claiming all his joint pain went away from two weeks of being vegan doesn’t help the cause much.
“…worked better than all my other supplements.”
We know that unhealthy tissue requires scalable stimulus to recover, it’s little to do with this vague notion of chronic inflammation.
I’m sure the guy is doing some great work outside questionable statements like that, though (going to follow, in fact.)
Thank you very much doc oromi on UA-cam channel for curing my high risk HPV…..

Tofu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 processed junk not for human consumption
@MrNiche95
Tofu has been a staple of human nutrition for over 4000 years, the process of making it is as follows:
1. Soak the beans
2. Mash the beans
3. Cook the beans
4. Firm up the beans by adding some salts.
Which part of that process do you think makes the beans unfit for consumption?
@@jamesbyrne3033 the beans lol
