This is by far their most famous song, and incredibly popular even outside the metal genre.
While there have been several members over the years, the three guys in this video are what most would consider the classic line up.
All three of them have sadly passed away. Phil passed away first, with Lemmy passing away only a month later. Eddie left us just over two years after Lemmy.

Great, iconic song that influenced punk, metal, hard rock and alternative, Lemmy & Co. Really blew it out when I saw them. First they opened for Ozzy Osbourne when he still had Randy Rhodes on killer lead, both bands were a nuclear weapon going off, that whole show was one of the best for extreme rock sensibilities I ever saw. Then I saw Motorhead headline in a large bar, as soon as they turned on the amps we knew we were in for it! Tremendous dose of Lemmy at point blank range, he was sweating and working hard, the man does not mail it in. More Motorhead, do the official and then the live video of Overkill, tremendous bulldozer of a song. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

Motorhead were great, and being a Jack Daniel's swilling, rock loving, bloke called Ian from Stoke-on-Trent, I always had a great connection with Lemmy... If you want more Motorhead you could always try something like "We are the road crew" (Especially if you can find a good live version) or if you want to hear a different side of Motorhead then something like an acoustic version of "I ain't no nice guy" is worth a listen.

Only it wasn't Rock n' Roll as the old rockers like Jerry Lee Lewis or Eddie Cochran fans knew it. This was heavy metal rock music, the difference was as clear as night and day. Lemmy was an old rocker with his hair grown long, but his music was another generation on from original R n' R. I knew many Teddy Boys and rockers back in the 70's and early 80's and not one of them considered Motorhead as rock n' roll. to them they were just a long haired rock band who made a racket and they had nothing good to say about them.

Seeing them live was an experience. I only saw them once, when they were touring with "special guests" Sepultura.
Well, Sepultura were absolutely brutal. No nonsense, no faff, just straight-up Brazilian thrash metal. They were so good that I had a bit of difficulty getting into the Motörhead set when Lemmy and his friends came on stage. At the time, I was more familiar with Sepultura than with Motörhead.
However, Lemmy turned it around in short order. Lemmy famously had no tolerance for faff or bullshit. They just came on stage and did their thing. From time to time, Lemmy would ask the audience if it was loud enough. And, whatever noises we made he got his sound guy to turn it up anyway.
At the end of their set, Lemmy said "This is the bit where we pretend to go away, then you make lots of noise and we come back and do another song." Since Ace of Spades had not happened yet, I had a suspicion that it would be their encore song. It's their most widely-known song, after all. (Yes, they came back on and played Ace of Spades. )
"Everything louder than everything else." Yup. My ears were ringing for three days after that.

I would suggest checking out a live performance of their track Overkill. It's a far more energetic and more encapsulating of Motörhead then this track (Yes, this track is a classic, but they made better songs. Yes i know that's an unpopular opinion)
Trivia: There is common misconception about the album this song was on. People think this was their biggest hit, but it never broke the top 3 on the charts. Their highest charting album was the album after this one, called No Sleep 'til Hammersmith (a live album) and went in at number 1 the week of release
Adding other suggestions: Don't let daddy kiss me, We are Motörhead, Keys to the Kingdom, Eat the Rich, In the Name of Tragedy, Orgasmatron, 1916, I'm so Bad Baby I Don't Care, Killed by Death.
Just to name a few :)

Lemmy, the iconic frontman of Motorhead, left an indelible mark on the world of rock and roll. He epitomized the rockstar stereotype, embodying rebellion, excess, and unapologetic attitude. Motorhead's significance lies not only in their thunderous sound but also in their influence on shaping heavy metal and hard rock. Their anthems like "Ace of Spades" and "Overkill" became anthems of defiance, capturing the essence of their live-fast, no-holds-barred ethos. Albums like "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" and "Bomber" are etched into rock history, showcasing Lemmy's gritty vocals and the band's relentless energy. His legacy persists through his music and the impact he had on generations of fans and fellow musicians.

I've heard someone describe lemmys signature sounding voice compared to a bottle of jack Daniel's that's been smoking Marlboro reds for years. It's got that gravely depth to it.

Triple H who is a wrestling legend in WWE loved and was friends with Motorhead and Lemmy the lead singer. And he used The game as his entrance and King of Kings also. The game is a good song by Motorhead.

We saw them as part of the "Operation Rock 'n' Roll" that toured the eastern US. The lineup was Metal Church, Dangerous Toys, Motorhead, Judas Priest, and Alice Cooper. Motorhead's performance looked exactly like this video. I don't think they ever had any pretense.

There are a bunch of punk and thrash bands that took a lot of cues from Motorhead.

Great words and insights at the end of their action. I truly enjoyed that.
I absolutely love "Philthy" Animal from this classic lineup of Mötorhead. I never get tired of watching him.
They have another banger called Whiplash, which is from a few years later than this but not a whole lot later.

I never forget ... When Motörhead played in The Netherlands.
They stood there, and Lemmy screamed: "we're Motörhead, and we play rock n roll! Let's go!'
And then they played Overkill! I love that song! It doesn't stop...it just doesn't stop. 😊

One of my favorite reactions to this band is from Anthrax's Scott Ian. He listened to this album and looked at the photo of the band on the back and thought, "Who are these mexicans and how do they play so fast?" Makes me laugh everytime I think of it.

Metallica was heavily influenced by Motorhead. Motorhead even did a cover of "Enter Sandman" that they uploaded onto their UA-cam channel.
Lemmy (the bass player and lead singer for Motorhead) even got to play with Metallica back on September 14th of 2009 as Metallica covered two of Motorhead's songs, "Damage Case" and "Too Late Too Late". There were also two more Motorhead songs that Metallica covered back in December of 1995 while Metallica was rehearsing for Lemmy's 50th birthday party, "Overkill" and "Stone Dead Forever".
