Motörhead are one of the Legends if Metal , that’s such a famous song . But sadly all three of those guys are no longer here. Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Filthy Animal all amazing.
Lemmy was a very humble and generous person. Watch Dee Snyder from twisted sister tell the story of the TS first show in England .They had no record out yet and the crowd had never heard of them. As TS walked out in full make up and large hair the crowd in unison pulled their arms back to throw water bottles to force them off the stage BUT Lemmy walked out and said “ this is Twisted Sister they are friends of mine give them a listen “ nothing was thrown at TS and the crowd even chanted for an oncore . Motorhead's "Overkill" is a must (the Live 2004 version is amazing). It's basically the start of "thrash metal".. which lead to bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer

The lead singer, Lemmy Kilmister, was in another band and one of Jimmy Hendrix's roadies when he was younger! He only stopped playing live just before his death. A complete legend, he really spanned the ages of guitar music, from being Hendrix' roadie, until he had been in a few bands and formed Motorhead, 45 years ago! He is known as a major influence of Punk, Heavy and thrash metal, even Metallica started out as a Motorhead tribute act. Apparently, he was the nicest guy you could ever meet, and I would suggest that you watch his funeral elegies on UA-cam and maybe react to his blues, acoustic version of "Ace of Spades" which is less than ten years old (Or thereabouts). Definitely, the man that linked every Punk, Metalhead, and basic Rock and Roll lover more than any other human! (Just watch his funeral, it's not something that you would feel great reacting to!)
Motorhead's long song is Overkill. And motorhead was slang for either a car enthusiast, a person that did speed, or both. I have a feeling Mia is going to be like a friend of mine. Dresses in suits everyday, and is a total metal head.
I don't know why this popped up in my recommendations but it had me smiling all the way through. Keep it up, ladies! Also, do Cannibal Corpse "Hammer Smashed Face".
Great reaction to this classic by the legendary Motorhead. So many bands we're influenced by them, especially in metal. Listen to other songs like Iron Fist, Overkill and Orgasmatron.
This song is short. This is by design. It was released as a single and made it to the Top 40 Pop charts. Pop not rock. This introduced my 13 year old self to metal. I am still a headbanger after all these years.
If I really like a song but think it's too short and feel unsatisfied by the end, my solution is to play it again... and again... until I've heard it enough :)
Another thumbs up to the reaction from me. I grew up a punk and Motorhead challenged me with this back in the day. Very much rock-meets-punk. One of my all time faves, led me on to embracing, then, modern and classic rock. R.I.P. Lemmy, R.I.P. Motorhead.
Ace of Spades, the classic Motörhead gateway song. Now that you’ve met the band, be sure to listen to Overkill, Iron Fist, Damage Case, Killed by Death, No Class, Bomber and/or Sacrifice. Preferably the live versions, because there’s nothing better than Lemmy & Co. doing it on stage!

So glad you enjoyed this anthem, girls. That was Mr. Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, a beast both with the base and singing. He passed away in 2015 at the age of 70.
I'd absolutely LOVE to see you guys react to Opeth! Some progressive death metal for you... Depending on which albums you listen to of course.
