I got a feeling that if Helm of Inmost Light returned, it would probably be used for the legendary ornament that combines with Heart of Inmost Light to maybe make the glow effects on them stronger or larger.

No idea why they chose to put it in the game in the first place, but the "glimmer from primary ammo bricks" perk of Alchemist's Rainment was a reference to what alchemists in real life were trying to do- turn lead into gold. So we take the most common and worthless ammo and turn it into glimmer (money), like an alchemist. I think thats why the perk is on that exotic, although it still seems like a weird thing to design in the first place.
Would be neat to see it return with something happening when picking up glimmer and being able to pick it up whilst capped out
I actually think it's pretty cool, it would need a version for each subclass, but in d2 it could be used to increase the chances of loot from legendary lost sectors or dungeons/raids?
Sorta like rat king, more people wear it the better odds of people getting loot/God rolls.
It might be a way to get people to stop crutching certain exotics in endgame?
Trade Dps for better loot.
The more "lead" you transmute into "gold"
The better your odds at the end of whatever activity your doing.

@@semajnosnhoj6351 I don’t think loot-based exotics have a place in the game anymore. They’re just a weird design choice and that’s probably why we don’t have in D2 anymore. People would most likely stop using every other exotic because they aren’t “necessary” to complete some activity.
Just make it have intrinsic lead from gold.

I like what someone else suggested where all wells count for the class you're on. Probably extend that to where wells you create is multi element. Make it a goated support/solo exotic.
Someone had an amazing suggestion for Alchemist's Rainment. Make it so that when wearing it, Elemental Wells count as all elements. Like universal Elemental Wells.
That sounds pretty cool but then it won’t have any use case in pvp at all, which I don’t think exists in the game yet

Man this helmet was so op when it came out. Heal on melee hit so warlocks would alwase win melee fights
The Ruin Wings aren’t talking about the Tree of Silver Wings on Io, that one was planted by Osiris under orders from Mara Sov during the events of Worthy.
The tree that Ruin Wings is referring to is the one from the metaphorical “garden before time” talked about in Unveiling, the stump of which resides in the Black Garden
He also added 'in' and 'a' to the description of the leaves and bark, which changes what it means. A weird misread in my thoughts.

Skyburners Annex my first Taken King exotic and it was a blast to use, especially with the Iron Gjallarhorn.
Seeing a Twilight Garrison arc titan meant your team was either going to be carried or completely dominated. They were the bane of my exiguous PvP existence
Actually, i would love for helm of inmost light to be an ornament to be paired with heart of inmost light, if you don't have the exotic you get a decent looking titan helment, and when you do you get that extra drip while having one of the best neutral game exotic for titans
Heart of Praxetic Fire could be changed to when you slam down your well of radiance you and your Allie’s abilities regen quickly while inside the well. Could also add on the effect the ward lasting additional 5-8 seconds with the trade off being taking longer to gain your super.

Radiance super may not be a thing anymore but we have radiant buffs and maybe it just made abilities recharge faster while radiant? Even though there’s a ton of ways to spam abilities I could still see that being a perk worth building into

I don't think you realize how ridiculously overpowered that would be.
i just wish bungie could bring back some of these as tweaked legendary ornaments (lore explanation could be that theyre just replicas that dont provide the exotic bonus, but still function as armor) . because man they look so good. i really wish i could use light beyond nemesis again, such a good looking helmet.
To be fair, with the introduction of ornaments like the Robes of Nezarec, I could see it happening to some of these. Make the Helm on Inmost Light an ornament that pairs with Heart of Inmost Light, which would increase the intensity of the light on the chest piece, for example.

I think Ruin Wings could really be useful in endgame content. But the perk could be changed a bit to be a better Ammo finder.
The Crest of Alpha Lupi (for hunters) has a similar perk to the Precious Scars Titan helm which could be really cool if CoAL would return and have a cool exotic healing pairing with Precious Scars and Light beyond Nemesis.
Obsidian Mind could come back as a buff For Nezerac’s Sin or it could return and be changed a bit: Your (Vortex) Nova Bomb has an increased radius and increased damage. Your (Cataclysm) Nova Bomb spawns more seekers that deal increased Damage.
Kinda like the Cuirass of the Falling Star but for Warlocks l

How about for redundant exotics from D1, they get brought back as ornament when possible. Raider Flux obv isn’t possible, but how about an ornament for Stmpez to change completely to Bones of Eao

Voidfang vestment was my favorite in terms of style I always preferred the space duster jacket style for warlocks as I see them as the “robes” in sci for settings. And when it comes some exotics in D2 already doing what some of the D1 exotics do they can at least add these old looks as ornaments if they don’t plan on reworking/revamping D1 exotics
I honestly don't see a lot of these coming back to d2 but something they could do is make these designs ornaments for current exotics. Bones on the Stompees, 3rd man on foetracer. Idk I just think it'd be cool to at least get the aesthetic of the d1 drip

Gain an additional double jump. When killing an enemy gain an additional double jump (max +2) for a total of 3 additional jumps. Grants increased movement speed for x seconds after killing an enemy (similar to amp).
6:37 Ruin Wings rework,
When you spawn heavy ammo, also spawn a duplicate brick for your allies. These bricks contain more ammo.
9:05 Twighlight Garrison rework,
You can use thrusters in air, gain an additional thruster charge when amplified.
10:48 Purifier Robes Rework,
while dead, cast your solar super to resurrect, gaining greatly increased resilience and restoration x1. After the super timer expires or you revive an ally, you die.

Imagine if they brought back the heart of praxic fire, But tweaked it so that any solar subclass guardian standing in your well of radiance gained increased grenade cool down. Having a whole fire team of six guardians spamming grenades at enemies and bosses
Obsidian mind should come back to either generate a lot more orbs, proc both nova bomb types or something.
Hear of praxic fire could cause all solar kills to grant radiant for player/allies or an extended radiant in well of radiance maybe
Skyburners was one of my favorites for a support/utility build, making orbs and having near infinite ammo was incredible for raids. I also love the idea of merging the Arachid and Symbiote helmets, loved both of them in D1, I at least want those design models back.

Of course you saved the best for last! lol. Voidfang and Red Death we’re my go to Banner load out (Warlock main) It seemed broken but then….there were so many “broken/OP” load outs in D1 for Hunter and certainly Titans, that I felt it evened things out. -and man was it beautiful.
make some of them ornaments for existing similar exotics. Alchemists Raiment would be a cool ornament for starfire protocol.

Warlocks needed something lmao, from d2 launch to forsakken there were only ever 2 players in the top 100, warlocks had zero mobility tools in comparison to the other classs etc.

@@Alckee6904 this is the furthest thing from the truth imaginable, in valinna D1, arc titans and voidlocks reigned supreme, you better not be trying to do Levy if you didn't have your double pulses or nova.
And leading in to Forsaken, nearly every upper echelon group ran mostly locks, because they have been consistently good since D1. They have always been pve powerhouses, and always will.
Obsidian Mind’s perk was combined with Skull of Ahamkara perk from D1 meaning Skulk is a fusion of both in D2. It would need its own perk if it came back.

I miss the Radiance super so much. Everyone was running Self Res in trials and I typically didn't. So when I busted out Radiance and became a nade spamming machine it was my gotch ya moment. Favorite super.

The ATS-8 Arachnid did actually appear in D2! It’s one of the trophy’s hanging around the Consul’s neck in Red War cinematically.
i love the way the Arachnid looks but the perk would definitely need some type of overhaul to see any use in D2 imo. But I really hope they bring it over with revamped perks because it looks so cool

Dude, you missed out my favorite warlock armor called "The Ram". That helmet was the only one which lets me tank shotgun to the face and still walk away in pvp.
Voidfang vestments was my first ever exotic in D1, and it holds a special place in my heart especially because how good it looked with like any shader
Tarentella could be the first exotic to alter gathering storm since we have nothing for it other than star eater.
You forgot about the ram for warlocks. That was my all time favorite exotic but it's perk is essentially the stags now in D2
This was uploaded 5 days ago, but crest of alpha pupi has been in for a minute. I use it in trials, pretty good for running void overshield plus healing upon barricade use.
I think ruin wings would work if they made it either require rapid finishers to spawn ammo or they could make it so you need to sacrifice special ammo to get heavy. (Sacrificing special wouldn't be so bad knowing you can use just use special finisher meaning you lose ammo while finishing only to spawn more special and heavy at once, the only true lose is the super energy)
they could bring back purifier robes and have them modify our current dawnblade supers in some way. like, “phoenix dive now disorients nearby enemies. using phoenix dive during your dawnblade super will disorient nearby enemies. the initial slam of well of radiance also disorients enemies” or they could also just have it do something else entirely. maybe it turns your melee into a flamethrower instead, treating your melee energy as a fuel bar.
*Heart of the Praxic Fire* was the SHIZZNIT!
*Light Beyond Nemesis* was one of the original Warlock Exotics.

Marksman: Gain an extra shot. The extra shot can do even more damage. Generate more orbs on headshots.
This would make it great in pvp and pve. It would last a long while in six shooter or do way more damage with marksman.
I used to run out of glimmer so fast in D1 and id always wear alchemists raiment to get back up to full.

Warlock main here, for twitch light garrison they could rework the perk so titans could use there thruster while airborne. Some people might think it would be broken but just a thought for our Titan brothers and sisters.
Alchemist raiment used with tlaloc was perfect for the self res warlock since you would just sit on a full super most the time anyways
I completely forgot about the reference from The Far Side with the Thagomizers. Not a bad exotic either. Could use an update for D2, but would be worth bringing back IMO
Heart of the praxic fire could work with the radiant buff. Giving some reduced cooldown on abilities and damage reduction. Obviously the numbers would have to be relatively small so as to not make it too powerful..
I was like 9-11 when I played destiny 1 and I would never actually use exotics right I just wore what would look cool😭😭 this was nostalgic
I personally think Obsidian Mind should come back but alter nova bomb into Lance or Splitter, and kills with those regen super energy... I miss Lance and Splitter....

if bones came back just have it give quadruple jump on triple jump remove jump/jump ability decay along with removing momentum loss when equipped without triple jump
titans can only jump/fly for an amount of time before falling, same for warlocks, but bones on hunters would allow you to essentially have rocket-like vertical momentum with triple jump and insane movement speed in single directions with jumps, this would be different to stompees as it just buffs all jumps and slides and speed, this would exclusively apply to jumps and buff them much more, and assuming that jump decay would get removed (only really noticable with DOE mobility buff or amplified jumps) with it then it would be pretty damn solid
and impossible machines could just give landfall to chaos reach and increase chaos reach damage if you got landfall kills, maybe a 30-40% buff and would make it more reliable for dps phases as chaos reaches issue is to get full damage you gotta actually beam for 12 seconds and with a damage buff it'll be able to reach the old max much quickly, much more potential

Loved Glasshouse on the titan, would be awesome if it came back with the extra weapons of light duration alongside a reload and handling buff
The only time I ever used the ATS/8 Arachnid was during Vault of Glass for oracles at the Templar
I used the achlyophage a lot on golden gun hunter when doing oracles in vog. made it that much easier, and having it all the time from teammates making orbs made it that much easier. and then just get the rest with the vog rocket launcher or whatever.
also forgot to mention The Ram, which was arguably the most broken exotic in all of destiny 1. The bonus armor worked for every subclass, not just void. Meaning you could have even more armor with the radiance super
Helm of inmost light needs something explosion related to it like a blinding effect for supers or something.
ahhh helm of inmost light got me my first 6 kills with a super. just flew in there while they were capping a zone
the Empyrean Bellicose's perk is based off of the old Warlock "Angel of Light" subclass perk, in Destiny 2 Warlocks lost the subclass ability and it was locked to the intrinsic perk of Wings of Sacred Dawn Perk: Tomes of Dawn, essentially making it like Empyrean, only thing that warlocks are native to do now is Heat rises. so Empyrean Bellicose could come back and still work, but would probably get tied to a subclass like how Angel of Light (wings of sacred dawn) was.
also the "once again Warlocks got this as an ability" part Warlocks only got Twilight garrisons ability, and it got locked to Solar as Icarus Dash, where as the Twilight worked on all subclasses if i remember correctly.
0:26 this one is NOT coming back, Consul is seen bearing it on his chest in the red war, so it’s not coming back, not by a long shot.
I don't know if I want these back as much as I don't want the designs of the better looking ones to go away. Ornaments would be the best way for most of these I think or using them to inspire some ornaments
I don't think Taikonaut should come back. Not for the fact that it'll be busted or anything, but we have weapon crafting. We have a Hakke rocket launcher that people can craft, which already has tracking rockets. What could help buff it and change it up a bit would be to give rockets one or two more rockets in the mag before having to reload, that way rockets for DPS can be super viable. Could even make it an AOE effect too, seeing how GHorn has an AOE effect.

alchemist raiment does just that. Alchemy lol. I'd honestly love for it to come back in the same way it existed as before. Sometimes glimmer farming can be a chore. xD
If you knew me before my 20s, you never actually knew , you knew season 1 me, we were severely underfunded and the writing team was going through a lot
they should bring a lot of these back as ornaments for other/similar exotics.
Skyburner's Annex would be THE exotic for div bitches and double special users, and would be totally broken in today's PvE sandbox. Imagine this helm with arc hunter using combination blow, lethal current, and the fragment that grants orbs on multikills while you're amplified. You will basically have unlimited special ammo bricks. Oh and since double special loadouts make heavy bricks spawn far more often (bug, Bungie said they fixed it but it still works), and if the heavy orb gen stacks with amplified and siphon mods, you can skip out on Lead From Gold on your guns. This is basically Special Finisher however you are losing potential future super energy instead of what you currently got, and isn't tied to finishers so no accidentally misclicking or accidentally using a finisher on a trash mob right before a dps phase on the boss.
Honestly the orb gen on heavy kills doesn't even need to exist, especially since it would just end up being a unique slot zero cost siphon mod like how Lucky Pants has an intrinsic hand cannon holster.
For Taikonaut, depending on how much tracking it could be a problem. Standard tracking? Ok sure. Truth from D1 tracking? No way
Heart in d2 could have a similar effect to the d1 version, if instead of buffing ability regen it could lower the cost of the daybreak projectiles. Also keep the agility buff because that saved me too many times.
Bungie missed out on haveing the strand helmet spider lookin one looke like the ATS/8 Arachnid

Voidfang fav Warlock exotic. Looks astounding with any deep red shader, would love to have it back. Obviously change the perks or even put it in a set in eververse
Take old exotics and or armor sets from D1 that won't appear in D2 for one reason or another and make them into universal ornaments

I could agree with this, mostly with some examples:
- Crest of Alpha Lupi's original design for the D2 Titan version
- Helm of Inmost LIght could become a legendary ornament to pair with Heart of Inmost Light
- Warlock's Alchemist's Raiment or Heart of the Praxic Fire becoming exotic ornaments for Starfire Protocal, since they were the near same aesthetic.
- The Ram becoming an exotic ornament for The Stag in D2
They should bring back voidfang vestments just changed up a bit.
Make it so Axion bolts can suppress enemies if it doesn’t kill them, and if they do die from the blast nearby enemies will also be suppressed. Maybe only for like 2 seconds or something. Or rather then suppress it could make targets volatile.
With the new armor charge system skyburners annex would be kinda nuts
Man I’m actually sad watching this because I had 1500 hours on destiny 1 loved every hour of it from beta to rise of iron. Coming home from school hoping on and doing raids was amazing took my mind off how shitty school was. I miss my old raid group ☹️
Feel like if bones came back maybe instead they make them have your hunter jump have more directional boost like it jumps you to the left or right more or sumn
