@@kornbsblinkindazeevanmoomoobp this was before all that he did interviews when the album came out this was a raw performance hence why the lyrics aren't the same as the produced song
I’m torn between which band I would want to be in during this time… I can’t decide Alice in chains, korn, System of a Down. Pantera, and Stone Temple Pilots… I’d want to be singer of course … I bet Red Hot Chili Peppers were fun to be in… for sure the funkiest to ever funk.. if wanna be Frusciante though. Fits my personality plus his solo music is my favorite music of all time.
to be exactly in the demo version some details were even more explicit. There are significant changes in the CD version, but definitely it doesn't affects the message.
It isn't funny when you realise what has happened to him ☹️ We just think a messed up man. How wrong society is I'm glad this subject is being taken more seriously now because there's a lot gone through this pain and now only is it being recognised now Why would anyone think a child would lie about this ? A child doesn't know how to lie about abuse like this, it hurts I can't imagine the pain what JD had to go through as a child, you are now performing this song infront of thousands and I hope it heals you in some sort of way 💗. Your fans love you very much as much as your band does. Please find peace in your life now 🙏 much love to you.
Clayton I used to think that but Iowa is about an event that never happened. This shit happened and scars Jonathan to where he doesn’t perform this song a lot. Slipknot can perform Iowa live because there’s not a whole emotional toll on it. When you compare Iowa to this your almost happy that it’s not the darkest.
Jack Taylor and also slipknot has performed Iowa less than Korn has performed daddy. Corey has to enter a fucked up part of his mind to perform Iowa. Both of these songs did not happen to the singers but both are still haunted and emotional about it because it reflects a dark part of their memories
Clayton there were no “former members” and if it wasn’t about JD he would play it more. You can literally look anything up online about the song and it’s meaning with it all coming back to John. This is a quote from JD himself on Wikipedia “When I was a kid, I was being abused by somebody else and I went to my parents and told them about it, and they thought I was lying and joking around. They never did shit about it. They didn't believe it was happening to their son.... I don't really like to talk about that song. This is as much as I've ever talked about it...." Here is a link if you personally want him talking about the song ua-cam.com/video/xUwR_DFlOx4/v-deo.html
es tan doloroso escuchar a JD romperse al cantar esta canción por ese capitulo tan oscuro de su vida :( Definitivamente esta canción esta llena de sentimientos que no se pueden explicar con unas pocas palabras
Aside from the obvious things that everyone else has already mentioned, I'm curious what the guitar rig was and signal chain they were using at this event.
I feel like crying after watching this No one should have to go through that It's because satan loves that and tries to get people away from God and decieves people to sin I'm praying for him 🙏 JD is stronger than I could ever be

SloppyChrisCovers no hes talked about his back story in interviews

he is messed up, your not ever the same again after shit like he went through. the sexual abuse was just part of tons of other shit.

jesus christ its scary to see Jonathon play this live
And then Jon performed "Daddy" during their 2015 - 20 Year Tour multiple times. I was there for Hellfest. 😭
@@mace9813 First time I heard this song live was a video of Hellfest, whole band was worried about Jonathan.
he look like a 88 teeth
Damn! Those screams are so awesome!!!!
Edit: Not when he's crying. I'm talking about the growls.
this may be a demo but obviously it still hurts him he’s emotional singing the demo even
The growls sound demonic, likes he’s unleashing a lot of dark energy
This is actually fucking terrifying
Something about this feels so much more impactful than the official version of the song
This is the demo version of daddy, the real story wasn't in the lyrics yet
Im sure it was there
to be exactly in the demo version some details were even more explicit. There are significant changes in the CD version, but definitely it doesn't affects the message.
there is just pure raw emotion and energy emanating from this video.
JESUS!! This poor man. His success is awesome but the hardships and the band are just undeniable!! Oh..been a fan since family values '98.
Damn them head bangings at 2:20... Go hard 👌
JD crying like that, christ. I just wanna give him a hug for real

Those screams and cries r too deep....... Always makes me cry #JDrocks💖💖💖
Darkest song in history
Jack Taylor slipknot - iowa

Jack Taylor it didn’t happen to JD it happened to a former band mates relative.

Thank you for posting thus. This is gold
:( i just wanna protect him forever
Is this the time he had a really bad mental breakdown while preforming this song live
es tan doloroso escuchar a JD romperse al cantar esta canción por ese capitulo tan oscuro de su vida :( Definitivamente esta canción esta llena de sentimientos que no se pueden explicar con unas pocas palabras
Brutal. It's like a possessed Heath Ledger Joker
masterpiece
poor jd 💔
i think this version is better than the current version
You're Welcome.

Agreed
Oh shit, Neidermeyer's Mind version.
The demo ruled dud
esta canción es "Follow Me" de Sexart, canción que fue escrita por otro miembro de la banda (y no por JD, o al menos no en su totalidad)
were you there?
Jon was literally letting out demons with those growls. you can hear a dark presence
Story behind this song is actually sad asl
I don't understand, what he is saying. (Because its a different text)
Was he really freaking out at the end?
Sadly, yes, he lived a painful childhood
He was he was abused as a child
OMG SO COOL PLEASE UPLOAD THIS TO vimeo!
U got Instagram?

Oh it’s live and rare alright, the sound quality is ass.
even tho the song out it 1994 but ya sure....
demo version then?
This is the demo of daddy
no dumbass this is before they released the album. of course bands have to create music and play it before they release it.
Because you make and come up with songs at the studio. Slipknot had songs in 1995 but came out in 99
It's the Neidermeyer's Mind version of Daddy (Yeah, the demo).
