I find this equally as disturbing as the current version because of the line “Mummy why did daddy touch me there?” This is very disturbing because it shows the innocence of a child because of how it’s said it’s sounds like a actual child is saying it and the fact they are asking why instead of telling just shows how much it is like a child which is so disturbing the singer crying as he screams mummy while the voice fades really just shows how hope is fading for them The crying at the end of current daddy is equally as disturbing As someone who has been csa’d this is really fucking terrifying and depressing to listen to I feel so sorry for Jonathan Davis I just wish I could hug him as something like a flareon for as long as he wants and comfort him
@@sa-yr6lb I agree. This version comes off as much more artistic, and the ST version is overkill in my opinion, it just sounds too over dramatic and depressing but this version they did it right and just had JD cry for a short while. ST would've been much better with this exact version re-recorded.
The original version of this song was called "Follow Me" and it wasn't by Jon Davis. He just added in the parts about rape. Just like "Blind" wasn't written by him, and he co-wrote Faget. My Gift To You was originally called "See Thru" -- That song is on UA-cam. Same song, different lyrics. JD turned it into "Molested" and then later "MGTY" for Follow the Leader. They wrote a couple songs Korn reused later, like my gift to you. Ofcourse then SexArt happened with Jonathan Davis, later changed into the band Korn who wrote the unreleased Neidermeyer's mind album along with this song, which is adjusted from a previously written song by creep. the original Daddy was always disturbing to me, but this is even more disturbing to me. this sounds horrific, but that's what makes it more disturbing. the poor audio quality makes it sound like it's ripped from a snuff film Jonathan's voice sounds slightly higher, making him sound child-like, which works, because the song is literally about him retelling his experience of being raped as a child, so it just sounds like an actual child telling you of how he was raped his screams sound almost demonic, so when you go from this child-like voice to a demon, it's really jarring, as if the child is being possessed telling this story, because the emotion is so strong that he just becomes someone else. this sounds like it was recorded in a cellar, where a lot of times, a child will be abused, since nobody goes in the cellar, and since it's secluded, nobody can hear what happens to the child. overall, this version is disturbing, and i love it.
I had a dream not too long ago about this song; only the final version on their first album. I dreamt I was comforting and hugging JD as he cried after recording the song. No child should ever have to carry that much pain. When your child tells you this kind of shit, be a fuckin parent and give your kid some justice. Don't let them suffer anymore.
the picture in this video is how i remember my first impression of korn... it was 1994 i was 11 years old and i was this shirt at a bunch of stores on the boardwalk in wildwood new jersey and i didnt know anything about them at that point...by 1996 they were my favorite band.
This shit got me scared I can't tell if it's cus JDs voice sounds pitched up like a Nightcore song and when he says "little child" he sounds like a gremlin and with the "mommy why did daddy touch me there" makes it so much sadder of course his dad didn't really touch him there it was a babysitter but still 😕 this one is just so much more depressing and dark and evil and scary in my opinion
Even though Jon denies this song is about his father, I tend believe it truly is about his dad. Granted I don't really know and probably never will. The lyrics have always suggested to me it was his dad. It wasn't until later in life Jonathan denied it. I mean seriously why would he write the lyrics the way they are? it's misleading, just about anyone reading the lyrics, would think he's singing about his father. why would he write such a confusing song? but the greater question if the song is about his dad, why would he lie? trust me, he wouldn't be the first one to lie about something like this. But in all respect, Jonathan knows the truth and it's tragic regardless.
***** Well doesn't mean it isn't about his dad. I've known three people sexual abused by family members, and they still hung out with them. I know it doesn't make sense. But I've seen it happen before. Guess it's a love/hate relationship of the highest order. some things I've never understand.
In this version of the song he clearly said's "mommy why daddy touch me there?". I mean what the fuck? why did he change the lyrics? very misleading lyrics if not about his father. This song never indicates it's about a female abuser or neighbor. It's clearly called "Daddy". It's a poor title or misleading one, what am I supposed to think? Sorry Jonathan I'm just suspicious. Not trying to be a dick.

"I think JD's father did rape him, but he didn't want to be judged and stuff, and didn't want people to know his bussiness so he told everyone a female family member raped him" i agree with this completely
Yeah and if he did he needs to go to jail a father should never do that and they didn’t even tell the babysitters name but I don’t know who did it father or babysitter I don’t know.
personally, i dont like the long chorus on the album version. and this one is realy heavy. but is there any reason why they changed this one (like blind that was originally from john's old band) ?
kinda funny but seriously. is there anyone who heard bout thoses 2 groups (sexart & orgy)? they could just have leave it to john if anyway it wouddnt be seen as their song. like, almost no one will know this song from sexart im pretty sure. they'll all see it as korn's starts with neidermeyer's mind demo tape
