Double Knitting - Managing Edge Stitches and Color Changes. This video shows double knitting with both colors held in left hand. It also shows two types of edge stitches and how to change colors for two color patterns. This is demonstrated using the Continental Knitting method.

Thank you for your tutorial it is very clear...and I like you sides better then others I have seen so when I start double knitting I will be using this method...I was having trouble holding the yarn and I am going to practice with the way you do it...I have seen 1 in each hand and both on 1 finger and they didn't work for me.

+gloria marin Hi Gloria. Tomorrow I will make a video for you. But it will be Brioche in the round. That is a really great stitch to use for the ribbing that would go with the double knitting. Check back later tomorrow afternoon.

Hi there! I'm completely stuck on how to do create stripes that go to the edge with the "plain" edging with no mixing of the colors? I'm wanting to avoid any opposite color bleed eg on my blue stripe just blue yarn showing and on my grey stripe only grey showing. For some reason I can't figure this out when I am doing the clean edging...

Are you speaking of double knitting? Or plain stockinette with a stripe?

Sorry last msg..would you recommend one circular needle brand tht u find to you're liking? And using a larger safety pin works in place of the tightner tht comes with interchangeable cables. Have a Merry and Blessed Christmas Susan. And thank u for sharing your gift.
