This has got to be the longest manway ladder we have ever explored ......and the stopes are big enough to slide down like a super slide. The haulage adit is over a mile long and the incline shaft goes on forever .....you will love this explore. We found so many untouched artifacts everywhere and mineral deposits to boot. If you love these explores like we do, then you are going to love watching this one ua-cam.com/video/ZUdeKHJxWsE/v-deo.html and smash that like button ...Smash it HARD !!!
You're the man, gold man, Jeff! Thanks for taking us on a tour of these historical mines. I'd be a scaredy cat to do something like that, although it would be super cool to do. But in the meantime I guess I'll stick to my safe place, on the lounge eating chips and drinking soda for now. Love your work, gold man Jeff.🎉🎉
Just love watching your post Jeff just absolutely love them an educational as well 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It just amazing mind boggling the depth the timber just unreal just totally amazing
Please tell us how the ropes are worked. Are they already there? Are you ascending and descending the same passage. You pull them with you as you go up? How many does it take?
Curious me needs to know. Not that I will ever be able to do it. 😢
Hey Jeff,WOW,amazing,am a single mother doing everything myself from mowing lawns, building stuff, home work, house work everything,I will never complain again with my work load compared to what those miners did, manual labour, hardcore, off to do some panning today, yay, thank you, I learn something from you everyday!!!! I am from New Zealand, central Otago!!! Love you Jeff ❤😂 you rock big time!!!
Complaining=wasted energy. You're the type that makes the world spin, gud job! Imagine if those that constructed this mine started complaining. We would not have seen wat a marvel they created through the lense of Jeff&Co. all these years later. That place was massive! Thanks Jeff for showing the world this gem. A beauty for sure. Keep at it Melissa. Sometimes it all seems thankless, but rest assured, there will be those points along the way where you'll stop, look back and realize that is was worth everything you put into it AND THEN SOME!
Just a shout out for Tony. Finally, someone who has skills and experience to enhance the vlogs. Great addition!
Tony is one of the top explorers in the UK. Crazy skills when it comes to mine exploring!
Tony is by far the best we have ever seen ..... they don't call him speedy caver for nothing
@@Askjeffwilliamsthe thing I like about your channel is that when there is a offshoot or something that looks cool you actually explore it then go back
@@Askjeffwilliams Oh stop it you two.. . you'll make me blush.. 🥰🤗☺
The timber in these places always blows my mind
2:27 We used to call those a "Chicken ladder". 4:09 Ford/Mercury Flathead V-8 1932-1950ish. One whopper of a video! Thanks!
Good Morning Minors! And seat cushion holders, another history lesson from the great Jeff Williams! I remember most of these. Thanks, Jeff.

Great sunny Jeff ! There goes my👖...heading for another part of space...great mine by the way awesome video keep it UP Jeff and sweet Lila greetings from the Netherlands
Thanks 👍we knew we would be sending them into orbit with that one ....will do my brother
Awesome! Love looking at all the history in those mines. Certainly a long climb in and a long climb out.
Wow looking forward to this one.
That mine is a museum! And the timbering is pretty darn good shape! Thanks Jeff and the crew! Great explore and how about a video with your samples and what they assey out at. More mine explores, Let's Gooooo!!
Wow, that mine is crazy ! The manway blows my mind.... such a long way , so many hours to construct all of this is just epic ... thanks for the video
Great taking the lovely Lila for a iced tea at the local water hole after all that adventure! Great seeing everyone doing it, getting down & dirty, amazing how much work went into these operations.... keep it happening...,.⛏️⚒️👷🤠
thanks
Hella cool mine Jeff !!!
Your narration, edit/production make it that much better, thanks. ⛏⚒⛏

absolutely amazing. Just the logistics of all that wood. all the labor to make all the cuts, steps etc. wow. Bravo Sir.
Thank you, as always great entertaining. great show!
That looks like a fun adventure and a good workout!
Thank you all for sharing the adventures. Jeff sure was dramatizing every move🤣👀

Jeff love the videos. Keep up the good work sir.
thanks , will do
amazing!!
Awesome video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Wonderful to see thank you for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
That is a beast of a ladderway, especially since it's tied directly to the timbers. You can't wrap your arms around it when you get tired and need a break. Absolutely exhausted when I topped that one. 🤪
yes it was huh ..... what a work out
Ooo yeah, that was a tough day but so rewarding. We were all pretty shattered by the end of it. The ladders just never stopped, amazing fun.
Cool thanks for making video bro
It's my pleasure
Small block, driving around. Funny stuff!
What a cool place to hang out.
Nice!
Very cool video!
That ladder it a real workout...!
Love the minerals
Wow!! That's a deep shaft and in good condition. Amazing samples down there too !! How long did it take to climb out of there ? Thanks for taking us on this adventure ! Smashed that Like button real hard!!!
yes it was my brother ......it took a couple hours to get out ......always our pleasure my brother from another mother
Ok that’s an awesome awesome mine ! Also I did something you just have to try , I love seeing different ways to catch gold and today I setup my little Home Depot bag mixer and I set it on a little hill so it was slightly flatter and I just kept shoveling this material in and set up the hose so it was running into it the whole time . I went through about 6 wheel barrows throwing material in while it was spinning and then I dumped the remains in a black pan and it was loaded with heavies . I think it would make a great personal gold processing plant if you have water to use constantly lol
That was Kool you lit a carbide lantern!!
That is some of the best historical square-set
that I (or anyone else) has ever seen. I don’t know what mine that this was, but that mine is nearly pristine.
yes it was
That was nucking futs!!!
"AU" let's go 👍
Safety first right on bro🎉
Love those Rabbit 🐇 warrens .. in the mine.
Easy to get lost I would figure.!
Have to leave a trail of bread crumbs Jeff..🤔
Glad you all are safe..
Thanks for sharing your adventures brother and say hi to Lila.
Cheers Tony.. 👍⛏️
@ 4:30.... "Someone took the wheels off of it".... TRANSLATED: Looks like Frank from Canada has been there... JMO
Lol
Do you have Prince Albert in a can? Well let him out 😆
I sure hope no fools go and wreck that mine up. It's a massive history museum there. So awesome, wow 🤯.
The owner is preserving this mine, and the others he owns
Physics and time always ultimately win.
Great video Jeff! What an incredible mine!
When are you gonna get back to work in your mine?
Good gold hunting to you all!
Take care.
Erb is hilarious Jeff.
Ok the palm tree was the final clue as to location. Im gonna put a wooden nickle on either austin or eureka lol ❤😂 and no palm trees are in vegas baby. I chose those two town for location and location. Great video. I cant believe how much equipment is still inside. This is so much fun. Thankyou for taking us with you happy trails till sundays drop oh wait thats tomorrow.😂
We need to go down there to see what when on 🤠⛏️🪜 Good Morning Jeff ☀️ Thank you for sharing with us. God Bless 🙏
Good morning! you betcha
Amazing jeff absolutely amazing what man can do to make a living just jaw dropping hat off to them men amazing 👏 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😮
Thats Beauty of a bat cave with alot of sweet history . smashing and lighting up the like button to pay you your mining wages ! ❤️ Watch out for the low bridges and mining widow makers !
The last photo is gold, after burning up all those calories going down then up those shafts and manway, I reckon I could've eaten everything on those plates lol. Another spectacular exploratory vid Jeff and crew
Thank you Jeff and company. Always so very intriguing and informative, it's crazy how far down the steps went! Just outta curiosity, did you count the number of steps down? AU baby! AU!
no ...too many to count
Panned me some gold today in a most uncommon place. On the coast right beside the ocean. A stream that dumps into the ocean. I saw a beautiful beach loaded with black sand. I did what any good gold miner would do. I went back to the truck and grabbed the classifiers and my pan. My third pan and I was getting some good flakes of gold. Only one problem, I had to leave 😊
I'll be back
adamım tebrik ederim çok güzel bir çalışma olmuş....
That mine is in really good shape.
That's where they filmed Hollywood squares at JEFF.
straight off the bat i got dizzy looking down there lol, sending Lila first 😯 Guys 😂 , nice construction inside, very interesting video thanks for sharing.
shes the best and the wood is in great shape
@@Askjeffwilliams yes she is and yes it was.
Looking forward to detecting in Az next week!!!! Long drive from Oregon in our fifth wheel!
same here my brother have a safe trip out here
Wow, watching these big mine videos are mind boggling. The amount of wood, heavy posts and beams, how the heck did they get all that stuff way down there way back when. Just staggering. Awestruck is all I can come up with.🙂🤔😳😮😯tired just watching the trek down and up.
they were tough as nails back then
Thank you for letting me chat in your channel
Any time
Nice explore Jeff! But your caption states it’s a GOLD mine! Maybe miniscule amounts of AU but that’s it. The War Eagle is a silver/lead mine with some zinc thrown in. Are trying to “fool” us!??? 😁😁 I was in it a few days ago and it appears to haven’t changed since you were here several years ago. And “Yes!” That stair case kills your legs! Really enjoyed see it through other eyes!
thanks
I am really really surprised on how bright the carbide shines. All other examples of them running didn't do it justice. Makes me want to get mine running and try it underground.
Another great educational video from Jeff (balls of steel) Williams.
Love, peace, and chicken grease brother. Be safe.
That's a beautiful place to be spending a month in their would be nice and you can make it worth it trip and enjoy the rest of the recovery and get a feaver and go back down and have a lot of fun
Thats a job to go up and down in there !!!❤❤👽👽🛸🛸❤❤
Wow thats some crazy manway. The rock is so beautiful thank you Jeff an crew another awesome video. We had a earthquake yesterday 4.8 that would of be really scary if u were in a mine. Be safe ✌️ 🙏
yep we saw that too ...thanks and you to my brother
A big mine like that--with all that infrastructure--raises some interesting questions about the business of mining, especially back in the day. The first questions revolve around financing. Were there banks that specialized in making loans to miners? Of course, with larger mines, raising capital could be done by going public to one degree or another--either forming a regular or closed corporation. Another business model would be some form of partnership. Businesses are a series of inputs versus outputs. Somebody has to keep track of what's being invested versus what's coming out and what might come out in the future. This speaks to an interplay of executives, accountants, engineers and geologists. Mines have a lifecycle. They're born with an initial adit or shaft and die when the last face stops advancing. What goes into that final decision to wind up? Then there's a chance a mine might come back to life. I am writing this in the tourist (trap) town of Tombstone. The mines here closed in the late 1880s when a fire took out the pumping works and the price of silver fell. It's conceivable that the price of silver may reach a point at which--when combined with modern pumping technology--it might be profitable to resume mining.

Richard Simmons would be proud… crazy long ladder sure you got some galena specimens but is there any gold left down there? Or were the lower levels where the gold is blocked by cave ins? Thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Great video! Come on, Let's go! :)
Welcome to the “Directors Cut”
Serious Engineering going on in this mine!!
I'd do it!! Thanx Jeff!!!😂😂
You have a good time with minds and caves wish I was there running around setting my mind up with gold fever and coming out with the mother lead
Should have noted the date on that newspaper.
So awesome to watch yall explore these old mines
So Cmon Lets Gooo
This is an incredible video that your taking us on. Why was it left abandoned like this. Did they run out of paydirt
Hey Jeff at 14;41 you say that's galena. What's the purple veins? I have a bunch of it from Arizona
Hey Jeff, any updates out of the Kokoweef and the lost river of gold?
The best part of that mine exploration…no water=no gases=no hydrogen sulfide =no bad expedition into the bowels of the earth. There is one thing that I fear about old mines…water. If you go to explore an old mine, you find water in it, get the hell out of there. One Little Rock drop into a pool of stagnant water could set off a hydrogen sulfide release that can kill a person in seconds.
we are not big fans of water down there either ......
I guess there's an advantage to being out west where the water table is near non-exsistent.
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Good morning SWM
Grew up in Rapid City it the early 60s. My favorite place was the Wind Cave.
@@kentiki646 The hills have gotten to commercialized. Rapid has a huge drug and crime problem. Rates for living are out of control. To have a vacation out there will cost a grand a day.
@slimwantedman6694 so sad . I remember we helped build the baseball field, and my dad coached my brothers team to a tri state champion " Harney league " and roller skating at the laundromat by the Red Owl store. I always wanted to go back, but I guess you can never go back to that time.
@@kentiki646 You are correct Ken. Its sad but true....
That mine does look like it still has plenty of high grade? Those crushed timber areas sure do look pretty scary, huh?
Seen they been having quite a few earthquakes up in Steamboat Springs. Also new hot springs opening up. Be careful out there.
What’s funny as a kid my grandpa would order a case of dynamite and box of caps from our local hardware store and when it came in we would go pick it up throw dynamite in back and caps in the cab. We were building a pole barn for hay and in our part of Missouri the ground was like cement so it was easiest way to blast holes, also used it for the corner posts on the fence line. No license, permissions or any of that.
yep back then things were much simpler .... no red tape and bureaucracy
I’m in panic mode when I watch these. Have you ever experienced a cave in? To scary to think about.
The man
Jeff did you forget the M-95 in the vehicle?
Air good
Hello everyone 😊
That engine block looks like a flathead v8, I think I see where the valves are set into the head surface.
Chips...lol beans and bacon and sip of whiskey😅
U guys made the women test the rope out first! 😂😂😂
hahhaahahhahaa
She does weigh the least
@@atleasticouldchoose112 u sending your wife first? On an untested rope? I am jk tho obviously it was safe
Dang. That's one daisy of a mine.
and thats just my game
Hey Jeff do you guys carry O2 and gas meters? Great mine explore BTW
yes
Have you been down one of these mines during an Earthquake !
