These are by far and away the best gold detecting videos I've seen on UA-cam.... Those quartz specimens are outstanding... you really know your stuff all right..... As I've previously said, I can see how hard it is for you out there..... Thanks for sharing with us ..🙏👍🇳🇿😊
Brilliant video again Steve. Your videos are the best Australian gold prospecting ones on you tube. Great mix of good gold, great Qld countryside, geology and critters. Cheers and thanks for the effort you put into the videos. JoeP.
What a beautiful lot of gold you dug up and cleaned. You certainly can afford the new tyres with that lot. Well done and thanks for sharing your adventures.
It’s still out there… Just not here haha, Fantastic Gold! And thanks for taking the time to make videos for us all to see you find it on your adventures, Wonderful to watch
Your a tonic these videos are great some great gold and you really put in the work in those hard rocky areas in tropical heat. You make your own luck with that cheerful attitude
Those species cleaned up magnifically, great finds , great trip and great series of Videos Steve, and great rewards for effort, that country is hard work, well done. Cheers
Incredible finds ⛏️✨✨ Your obviously a pro at this and have been doing this a long time. These videos inspire me to get out there and give it a go ....... although id imagine it would be incredibly challenging in the elements and being in such a remote location . Well done on the finds Steve you deserve it 🎉
Shalom Eleichem. You are such a Bright Star in the Prospecting fraternity. Thank you so much for your truthfulness, and encouragement to continue on. We had a flat from slicing Rock. Afterwards, we changed over to To Tyres. 10 Ply side walls, almost same price as our olde ones. So thankful of having such aarvellous set of tyres on our car. Yeehaaw. Son Ahava🎉
Hey Steve Alaska here ,just thought about you thinking we have a foot of snow so you’re probably getting hot there. I wish your summer wasn’t so hot then the wife and I could come down to escape the winter for a little bit and it’s great here in the summer the same time you’re weather is nice, for detecting that is, or a pig roast or whatever I can use as a excuse 😁.Oh well I guess I may have to sacrifice a summer sometime soon. Looking forward to seeing your new videos.
Thanks Greg. Yeah it's hard to actually carry enough water sometimes because you sweat so much, especially on those super hot days and you could always drink more but you can only carry so much, so I have to ration it to make sure I have enough for the whole day. And of course the dry dirt is not great on your hands either, but I don't particularly like wearing gloves. I think I'll try and use more hand cream at night. Cheers 😀.
You are indeed "The Real McCoy" of gold detecting! Impressive one handed recording, and editing. Forget the 4 wheeler, "shanks pony" is still serving you well. Great videos!
Amazing gold content in those speccies, not to mention all the great nuggets you also found. You must have been up around 50 oz of AU by the end of that trip 😊
No I've never actually owned a dog. One of the main reasons is that in some of the area's I go dogs are not permitted and also in some places poison baits laced with 1080 may be present to eradicate wild dogs and I certainly wouldn't want to risk having it accidentally eat one, or a carcass that has died from it. Because many pet dogs have fallen victim to those baits and it's an horrific thing to see. So it's not worth the risk and also I tend to be quite cramped in my vehicle without any spare room, because I sleep in my vehicle as well 😃. Cheers 👍.
Have you performed a specific gravity test on the specimens? It's easy to do and is fairly accurate. Great video's as per normal... am green with envy....
Hey Steve you’re certainly a risk taker, continuing to drive that track with no spare tyre. But that’s how you get lucky I suppose. Check out the Supersede picks, it’s has a bolt on blade and bolt on pick. Have a couple of spares so not digging with blunt tools. They are hard to come by.
Hi Steve great videos thanks , what is the best time of year to go to Parma ?and how much does it cost for a pass to go anywhere on the station ? Cheers Paul
I'm moving to North Queensland, lol, nice work, watched a few of your vids now. Do you know of any areas up that way where you think someone might have a shot without a 4wd? I bought a GPZ7000 and I'm going to have to find a few nuggies to pay for a 4wd.
Are you bases in New Zealand? My son and I are planning to come over at the end of the year. He’s mad keen on going on a hunting trip. (Deer) any advice on a tag along ?
Hi Deb, I'm not actually based in NZ at the moment. I tend to travel back and forth a bit, but I'm not really sure where I'll be too much ahead of time and I often change my plans at short notice. At this stage unfortunately I don't think I'll be in NZ at the end of the year. Cheers 🤠.
@@stevegraf9276 thx for the info! What a lifestyle you have 👌 Have watched a few of the deer vids… boy they sure are quite impressive creatures… so I am planning on taking him in sept. Hopefully we can find a tag along hunting trip. I just want him to experience this. And some trout fishing of course ☺️
Hi, I tend to have very basic equipment, while most people these days are going for the latest model detectors like the gpz 7000 or 6000, I'm still using the old gpx 5000. I also don't have any fancy camping gear either. No fridge or freezer etc or solar power. So you don't actually need a lot of fancy equipment, just a basic pick and scoop etc. The best advice I can offer really is to be persistent, the longer you have the coil on the ground the better your chances are. As long as you're in a gold producing area then it could literally be anywhere, within reason. As I've sometimes found nuggets in places I least expect it to be. And often it's not where you'd think it should be. But of course most areas have already been done over many times before, but there's usually still bits that get missed so you never know where it could be. Good luck cheers 😃.
Don't worry about your phone over heating, you're finding enough gold to buy samsung and google together. I can't believe you aren't carrying 2 spare tyres
Those speci's look incredible, how did you dissolve the Quartz? you didn't by any chance use that real dangerous Hydroflouric acid, just one drop gets on your skin it's pretty much game over?
Hi, no I don't use hydrofluoric acid, like you say it's extremely dangerous stuff and also you need a special license to use it. I have a different method I use which I keep to myself at this stage because it's taken me a while to work it out so I figure I have to keep the odd thing up my sleeve. Cheers 😃.
Hi, yeah usually about 5 or 6 over a trip, but probably surprising I don't see more. No doubt I come across others near by but they slither away before I see them. Generally they move away when they hear you coming but occasionally they don't, so just have to be careful not to step on one in long grass 😀. I do wear snake gators just in case but hopefully i never have to need them.

Awsome vidios steve.impresive gold.what an amazing place to be wondering around in
Wow, those specimens 😍.
Definitely worth the time to dissolve to quartz. I'm sure a collector will pay big $$$ for those.
It’s still out there… Just not here haha, Fantastic Gold! And thanks for taking the time to make videos for us all to see you find it on your adventures, Wonderful to watch

Incredible trip. If you say blow me down, I know there is something good about to happen 😉
Nice gold
what a life you must have, doing it yourself. I like the idea of doing it yourself. Have you ever had a little dog with you?
No I've never actually owned a dog.

Hi, yeah I've actually done that a few times and I agree specific gravity test is surprisingly accurate 👍.
Cheers 😃.
Palmerville keeps giving to those who're willing to put hard work in

Dont buy google, overheat above 40 in WA
Samsung funds nuclear weapons Buddy don't fund merchant Who can make horrible for our children Think mate 😢

@@stevegraf9276 Fair enough bloke, you have earned that right!!!
You must have a few metal detectors, each video seems like you're using another one?, they're all finding the gold!
I've put as big of a hole as that in a tyre on the Bruce Highway.
As much Gold in Quartz you're finding it's a deposit (vein) a hard rock miner would start a drift.
Yeah I think I'll try and go back again to the spot this year and have another look. Id love to locate the reef. Cheers 😃.
