5:08 it is only the dark relic that triggers the timer, the rest can be placed into their holders ahead of time and then you can even burn the timer and have the same person pick up the taken relic or the agis.
I found a well built devourlock could solo an entire side of the summit barring 1 or 2 cleanses and the taken blight with ease. It was super interesting to see Void 3.0 get it mettle tested vs content mode and it performed incredibly well.
The taken immunity in the 3rd and 4th room of the summit isn't in random locations like described here. There will be two patterns of them appearing right or left first and then it'll always zigzag between them. In the 3rd room, if the taken ball was right in front of the door, we had our eye of riven go to the left first and if the taken ball was right where the two stairs start, it would go to the right. Since both teams should be able to kill their ads and glyphkeepers with this strat to spawn the hourglass-knight, the rest of the room is just about having the relics switch places to manage everyone's problems.
I think Gjally is more versatile and pretty much does the same job better, but since it’s a new exotic I feel it will play a role in the raid somewhere.
One thing I'd like people to be aware of... if you have "dunked" on the first part of Rhulk five times, you'll soft-lock the movement to the damage phase if you deposit a sixth and seventh emanating force at the same time. Rhulk will not move until everyone has wiped. Be very aware of the number of times you have dunked or you could scuttle an otherwise clean run!
Something to add/correct, for the Summit, the timer only refreshes when the nut is dropped into a slot. You can safely drop the other relics into a slot and wait to drop the nut for either a breather or, if you have enough time remaining, to let someone who dropped one of the other relics to pick it up again by waiting out the lockout timer.
Another thing to note is that during the 3rd and 4th room of the summit, after the Eye of Riven relic is introduced, it has a set pattern based on which side it starts on, if the taken immunity ball started on the lower left stairs, then the next one is up the right side path, then alternating back and forth from there, vice versa, same thing for 4th room.

Ooh, this is really cool! I like how much more active Rhulk is, when compared to a lot of other raid bosses - all the moving around, varied attacks, all that. Excellent guide, as well.
Love your videos so I'll put my teams findings here, Rhulk ai seems to have 2 very finniky things about it: 1 - he tends to not go after the guardian with the force buff, he will still attack you if in range but will not aggro onto them. 2 - He will more then often dash attack/aggro towards the closest player to him, meaning with a good player you can have them keep aggro and have him on 1 side of the arena. Again those these can both be finniky and he can choose to target someone else out of the blue, but are team did gain massive success and a completion with this.
yeah having one aggro is how we did it as well, the whole team pretty much strafes the opposite side of the arena as the boss and the aggro dance. be sure to hard clear shadow thrall on their side whenever they spawn because they can easily get them killed if they have to stop boss focusing to kill them.
I know it's probably a sore spot but congrats on your completion. Hard work getting to where y'all did and being constant top contenders in the race. Kudos for the quick guides too especially after your first completion.
For second room: If the immunity blight spawns close at the entrance it will then spawn left, right, left. If it spawns in the middle of the entrance area it will then spawn right, left, right. Hope that saves yall a little time instead of thinking it is completely random spawns and running to check all locations.

I heard from someone who I was running with that Rhulk has the hitbox of a wyvern where if you run at their dash you might be able to phase through and survive since Rhulk's dash makes the wyvern dive sound
One note you may not of realised, during final boss, final stand while you gain the debut passively, standing in his attack reduces stacks, hence increasing your damage window before dying

A couple of notes on Rhulk - You have 3 damage phases to get him into last stand before he enrages, and Outbreak Perfected's SIVA trait doesn't target his glaive as far as we could tell. Also, the kicks likely won't kill you outside of contest mode but I still seriously suggest not getting hit by them, they still hurt like hell.
Honestly, only raid ive ever done have been 1 run of last wish, and a couple runs of garden of salvation, still need to do vault and dsc, but this raid looks hella fun
Thank you so much for the guides. I didn't expected to see them so fast! I know you must be a bit tired after the race so I really appreciated it. You're the best Datto!
One thing that I hope is just due to contest is the incredible inconsistency in the hit detection of rhulks attacks leading up to the dps faze. I cannot even count as high as the amount of times he shot out a beam that was easily 8-10m away from me that insta killed me, meanwhile an equal amount of times I've watched it directly hit people in their own clips and they don't even go under 50% health. And no I'm not talking about people with the buff that are meant to get hit lol and yes the character I was doing this on has great recov and resilience
rhulk is actually very much a darksouls boss and his attacks can be avoided really easy, even when they glitch and shoot the wrong telegraph. the beams can be jumped over if you start your jump as he charges and it completely avoids all damage, and rhulks dash attack only does damage once he hits the end of his path, meaning you can slide straight through his path at you and be completely unharmed.
@@Ahnock yes I'm well aware of how easy it is to dodge them. What I'm saying is its insane how often I am dodging them perfectly and dying while watching others who get hit and survive. I'm sure as the game stabilises it won't be an issue anymore but for the horrid connection show contest was, it sucked.
Last stand on this guy during contest is the only reason my team does not have a 24 hour clear, nor will have the contest mode emblem. First time we got there, his health bar wasn’t even visible when we wiped
On 3rd room of Exhibition, with Sentinel Titan with Doomfang, I was soloing the whole side up to the top of the stairs, letting others go to either side they need.
Clarification, I’m like 90% certain that the nut relic is the one the determines the timer reset when placing it in. The other relics can be placed in but the nut is the reset timer relic.
I can vouch for swords on third encounter, especially the grasp of avarice sword with unrelenting. You can absolutely mow down all the adds while getting constant health
I can't wait to try and do this entire raid with a bunch of randoms. I have enough problems trying to explain to some groups how oracles work in VOG lmao. Still gonna try though!!
The boss glitched for my team on our “last try” and was standing still, and like the OGs we are we tried pushing him off. We literally carried him to the edge moving centimeters every couple minutes and after 2 hours we got him to the edge and almost the entire way off, his hit box was floating fully over the edge. But after that we could no longer push, and he was left just dangling over the ledge with one foot holding him over. RIP to our 24hr emblems
I'm gonna be honest but i had an anxiety attack during my Sherpa run of the third encounter. It's so just stressful it's giving me flashbacks of when i tired doing raids after the OG Vault of Glass back in D1. Those are days i wish to never repeat ever again.
This raid seems way too confusing. Once I try it out, I’m sure it’ll make more sense, but from these videos, it seems like this raid is going to fall into the garden of salvation raid where not many people will want to do it consistently. He doesn't go anywhere when you do this. If you're too far away he reverts to slid attack/bomberman bomb.
I have never been so lost in a raid guide…
that reading shit was so confusing but now I understand it
A couple of notes on Rhulk - You have 3 damage phases to get him into last stand before he enrages, and Outbreak Perfected's SIVA trait doesn't target his glaive as far as we could tell. Also, the kicks likely won't kill you outside of contest mode but I still seriously suggest not getting hit by them, they still hurt like hell.
The music soothes my pain
The guides are welcome but kinda sad because Datto didn't put the clip of Cyth getting puntkicked into the next pyramid by Rhulk.
This Raid seems SO overwhelming. None stop mechanics
Daddy Datto with another helpful guide. We all LOVE YOU DATTO
Can’t wait to Sherpa this raid.
Gonna be a hoot!
Can I Add you as a friend for when you're doing a sherpa run?
Honestly, only raid ive ever done have been 1 run of last wish, and a couple runs of garden of salvation, still need to do vault and dsc, but this raid looks hella fun
Thank you so much for the guides. I didn't expected to see them so fast! I know you must be a bit tired after the race so I really appreciated it. You're the best Datto!
Noice vid! Haven’t played in a while but your guides help to catch me up
One thing that I hope is just due to contest is the incredible inconsistency in the hit detection of rhulks attacks leading up to the dps faze.
Can confirm swords work wonders here...especially ones with chain reaction!!!
Volatile rounds falling guillotine and taken relic
I can't wait to try and do this entire raid with a bunch of randoms. I have enough problems trying to explain to some groups how oracles work in VOG lmao. Still gonna try though!!
man the song is dope, never heard of it before
Sorry about your first clear, you'll always be one of the best
The boss glitched for my team on our “last try” and was standing still, and like the OGs we are we tried pushing him off. We literally carried him to the edge moving centimeters every couple minutes and after 2 hours we got him to the edge and almost the entire way off, his hit box was floating fully over the edge. But after that we could no longer push, and he was left just dangling over the ledge with one foot holding him over. RIP to our 24hr emblems
He fell off in our run but he just teleported back up
you know they extended contest to 48 hrs? you can still get the emblem right now
Rhulk will "soft lock" if you manage to dunk a seventh emanating force before he can clear all buffs/debuffs.
I appreciate the videos Datto! I look foreword to further videos simplifying this raid with specific load outs etc
The first 2 encounter seem fine...this 3rd one though has me lost.
Boss man can be a little confusing but everything else is very simple when you get a few runs in.
@@LakerTriangle 3rd is VERY straight forward, you just gotta run it once or twice. This raid as a whole is gonna be an absolute LFG nightmare. It will be fun friends and clan mates, but I don’t see how any of these encounters will go well without great communication
@@xKCLoL the problem I see is everybody not using the standard names... People are going to get used to their funky calls and that's what screws up LFG.
I mainly use lfg. Im sure it’ll get easier as time goes on but I expect difficulties with callouts/etc
5:08 it should be noted that the only relic that resets the timer is the nut, the other two can be banked at any time
(Extended) Day One here I come, thank you!
I keep seeing the same thing from a lot of people they technically wipe at the end of rhulk but just barely get the kill so it rez's. My team got it. Wallah. Skarrow. and a few others. Its crazy
