Before I watch the video, I just want to express how appreciative I'm sure a bunch of us are that you don't milk the hell out of this type of video and make a single one instead of a bunch of different ones.
bonus tip: keep a class item from each raid. some raid mods like enhanced relay defender, enhanced voltaic ammo collector, enhanced operator augment, Release Recover, Into the Light, and more are better than the +3 stats from an artifice class item.
I keep full sets when the raid comes around, so I’m hoping when garden comes around, I’ll be able to get a full set as enhanced relay defender stacks and can make 1 phases VERY easy
Note for Shuro Chi: If you're playing with inexperienced team mates it may pay to use a sword with a good guard, and some kind of healing effect. This will allow you to stay on a plate significantly longer in case people get mixed up. Edit: As of this season sword guard *does not* reduce environmental damage, which includes the shuro chi plates. Healing is still good though.
for root of nightmares the second encounter is usually dominated by the two people on the team who can either well or shatterskate just because it's simply faster
@@Wad3y the point is about what's fastest and if you want to get through the encounter as fast as you can, you make hunters or warlocks your runners, not titans. And if you're a titan doing this, you'll go faster using the launchers as normal
For santified mind in GoS - the reason doing one side then the other is better is because when a tower is full, the vex can't sacrifice there anymore. It makes runs more consistent, because what tends to happen when you do both towers at once is that someone misses a sacrifice and you end up having to in again on a side.
For Garden of Salvation, a good tip for third encounter is to not use leviathans breathe or ghorn as it cause the boss to move a lot, also try not to thundercrash behind the boss as it'll do the same thing :3
For Vow of the Disciple third encounter. In the room before the last room, you can hug the left wall to completely negate using the shield relic on that side. Same thing can be done if u hug the exit door for all the rooms in third encounter
Came into comments just to tell him this... As well as that the Taken Blight holder doesn't have to jump back and forth because they will only protect key ads/glyph keepers on one side per room
Caretaker also has a 2 floor strategy that I’ve done with a lot of LFG teams where we get him close to the health threshold and then nuke him with rockets to get him to about half in order to 2 floor him and skip the third floor (yes I’m aware there’s a 1 floor strat but I’m talking about the average lfg team)
For Last Wish, at Riven, rockets also work incredibly well. You just shoot them in the same place you use swords, just have to be further back by the wall. For DSC, at Security, you can have a single person scan both sides if the operator waits for the scanner to scan one side, then open the operator door so that the scanner can slip through to the other side before the operator goes down stairs. Kind of similar to the strategy Datto mentions, but no need for two people to use swords or be downstairs at the same time.
For LW vault, once you know the second room that is open, the direction has been established. This way you don’t have to always ask “what’s open?” when picking up a relic. For example, first open is Rock. Second is Stairs. That means the rotation is clockwise and Trees will be the third person to get a relic and they exit Rock. If Stairs is open first, Rock is second, the rotation is counterclockwise so Trees is third and they would exit Stairs. This is just a nice thing to know, especially in the trio where you’ll have a knight that can be killed before the others in third phase making that less of a crunch. Conditional Finality is great for the Knights.
Tip for DSC Atraks: A single yellow bar kill counts as 5 stacks and they spawn pretty often so If your a non titan player, its a quick way to build up stacks for parasite.
Something small. In the relics/gauntlet encounter in VOW most LFG groups I am with know about the left wall in 3rd room to remove darkness stacks which can help a bit. There are multiple other spots that can remove darkness too
For security in DSC, I've never seen that sword strategy but most teams do 1 scanner by operator waiting until darkside is called out the terminals to open the doors and go down so darkside scanner can move to light side and read there. In attracks, if you don't have parisite, overture can be used instead by getting kills with it amd stacking homing rockets to use on the boss. And use lament if you dont have those options
For Overture you can even just spam shot the Operator switch control to build the missiles instead of running around clearing ads before or during starting encounter
I'd really love to see a video or even a whole series detailing each Raid's encounter challenges and triumphs. I know it's a tall order, but I find a lot of info online to be misguided or outright wrong.
One thing for the Vow gauntlet, the 2nd room (first one with the blight), the left wall cheese is the only noteable thing I would point out. Not too different, but it'll save the relic holders less comfortable with jumping from having to cross the gap.
Shuro chi plates can be done before reaching the puzzle room. You can send one person ahead to complete the puzzle while everyone else is doing the normal encounter or even before you start the encounter at all. It is a cheese but if kalli trapping was mentioned then pre-plating should too
For shiro chi you didn’t mention early solving where you hop on and off the plate quickly to permanently solve the puzzle so you can just proceed to the next room without wasting time during the encounter
a thing i highly recommend for DSC third encounter if you play with newer people or that have some difficulties to communicate when you are operator, you can look at what bomb spawns and there will be yellow lines next to it giving you a countdown when all 3 will just spawn in, so you can easily wait like 10sec so your supressor has time to stun before the bombs are even picked up and the rest can get in place for pickups, just generally nice to give the newer folks a bit more time
For caretaker on vow try to make sure he stays above the damage threshold on the first 2 plates, then go to town on him on the 3rd. If you get him to final you can skip the last level
In Last Wish (at least in my experience) the Force (Right) strategy is significantly more common than standard, since it means only a couple of people need to be familiar with the mechanics. The change from what Datto mentions is having two people on left each pick up one at a time, and on right side, have one person pick up both. There's very little difference between both strategies, but it does mean two different people are available to pick up eyes, which helps to mitigate bad luck with captain spawns.
Vow has the best raid mod ever released in its pool. If you can set up a build with four stacks of "into the light" and just throw that set into the vault until you fire up the raid again, you will be astonished by how far you outperform your teammates. Super underrated mod, everyone that raids should at least work on getting a full set for it.
For Nezarec - my team has found surprising success using tractor cannon + 5 swords (mix of lament and falling guillotine) on normal mode. It was a very comfortable 2-phase, sometimes it even came close to a 1-phase. It helps to have a banner of war titan for survivability and more sword damage (I promise this works, my brain hasn't been fried from running Nez checkpoint 25 times in two days)
I have to correct you on the DSC 3rd encounter! The faster everyone kills the spawning adds, the faster the dunk phase begins. We position everyone to a spawn area and literally get the Dunks done in 20 ish seconds!
For morgeth, there is a spot you can go to under the bridge that makes you join allies at the start of the encounter. You can use this to get rid of the first orb as it doesn't respawn when disposed of in that way.
For DSC 3rd encounter the main strategy I’ve seen is ‘chaos mode.’ Everyone just picks up whatever buff whenever they want. That lets less confident players ignore the mechanic entirely if they choose to.
For Oryx I can confirm that Whisper is actually really good. For some reason it does a lot of damage and the ammo economy is really good. Plus you get a reason to use whisper so highly recommend
The vitriol for thunderlord is that, in reality, it does considerably less dps AND total damage than all other strategies out there. I was put into the limelight during RON because it was easily accessible and bugged. Now the damage it puts out is laughable compared to Levi's breath or even other legendary machine guns
To put it into perspective, you could literally just take Thunderlord as it exists now, stick a 35% buff on it (essentially Bait and Switch with 100% uptime and without the activation requirement), and it would *still* do less DPS than Leviathan's Breath. The total damage is actually pretty reasonable at 3.6m, but it takes 35 seconds to get there (that is with Actium War Rig, even slower if you're relying on manual reload or dodge or whatever). Here's an abridged list of the things that damage bosses faster than Thunderlord does: Sleeper Simulant, Whisper of the Worm, Retrofit Escapade, Xenophage, Briar's Contempt (surrounded), Two-Tailed Fox, double shotgun swapping (especially given the grapple discovery recently, and especially if you're also using Tractor Cannon anyway), Gjallarhorn dumping, Merciless, several swords, Leviathan's Breath, basically any BnS Apex Predator strat, Berserker ability spam, Lucky Pants Malfeasance or Warden's Law, 1KV, Legend of Acrius, Rewind/BnS Supremacy, Fourth Horseman, and Cascade Point heavy GLs. Thunderlord is literally as easy as DPS gets and has decent ammo economy, but if you're at all interested in upping your game past the absolute bare minimum it takes to clear a raid, delete it from your vault. (Don't actually do that, it's nice for add clear and killing overloads, but you get what I mean.)
For second to last encounter of vog you can solo Mars by using a stasis build or tractor cannon to push off the shielded minotaur of the sides of the arena, not the back, which means shield doesn't need to be passed and more people can be outside. The shield will still need to be in Venus to break shields though.
Thunderlord vitriol is a side effect from the disastrous effects that Root had on LFG. Nezarec had such little health that the damage bug made people think that thunderlord was any good. It's not. Machine guns are not good for DPS, rockets win out 99% of the time, with the other 1% being swords for Crota.
The Garden guide is so uninformed for LFG. On Sanctified, no one uses double break. People always end up getting tethered while trying to do damage and you end up taking about 5% of health off of the boss. You can easily one phase or at least do 50% with a single tether.
Few tips: 1. If you want speed up transition between 1 and 2 GOS encounter you can have 1 player doing wellskates and pull you immediately after you finish 1st encounter. Same with 3-4 skip. 2. At GOS final encounter don't use weapons with incandescent or arc soul - it can open portal. 3. To speed up first DSC encounter a little - after damage phase scanner stays in basement and reads "tiles". 4. If at Taniks your suppressor have 80 or more mobility, Witherhoard and any weapon in 2nd slot - there'll be probably only 1 detain if suppressor put Witherhoard at Taniks. 5. At Atheon have Tractor Cannon and as many Warlock with Verity's Brow and fusion grenades as you can.
GOS final boss encounter opens portals during DPS with Kinetic Tremors as well, which I found out thanks to trying a Supremacy rotation on it LOL. I'm confused why people were getting pulled into said portals though, they don't spawn anywhere near where you'd do DPS
Planets lfg exclusively use numbers, ideally 2 callouts from 2 people to reduce confusion. One person left will say “L2L5” and one person right says their 2
For DSC Security, the strat I have the most success with is Double Scan. Basically works the same as the normal execution, except instead of Operator going downstairs at the start, they'll wait until Scanner finished getting the dark side callouts. Then they'll open the doors to go downstairs, allowing Scanner to cross to light side and start "scanning" while Operator is working on the dark side callouts. Xeno and Bastion are both good options, but my prefered damage strat is a little more risky. Wardcliff is capable of outright oneshotting the pillars. You have to be careful though. If you're too close, you'll blow yourself up, and if you're too far, you can hit the wrong pillar by mistake and cause a wipe. Keep in mind the catalyst reduced the spread so the optimal place to stand will shift, although this strat can be done with or without the catalyst. Pair with Rain of Fire or Marksman Dodge to offset the lengthy reload.
Definitely the better strat than passing the scanner through the wall. Would also add if you scuff and need to do two phases; have the person downstairs run around and scan before swapping out with the new operator.
For Vault in Last Wish, I’ve found it easier to find what all 3 locks need and then just remember the one that’s different. Because of how the encounter works, 2 of the locks will always be the same and 1 will be different, so you really only have to remember the odd one out.
vow 3rd encounter has a cheese strat where people on the left side of the third room can stick to the wall and not get prevading darkness. this part is usually the most messy because the aegis normally has to jump across a huge gap to cleanse everyone, with this cheese the shield can just stay on the right and left side won't have to cleanse until they meet up at the other side.
A note for Riven, have Titans use stasis with Synthoceps, it does over 1 million damage to her and out damages swords for riven. you can duo riven with 2 stasis titans
@@buldor6 sunbracers and hypotrochoid on riven are dead, same hit detection change that nerfed Gjallarhorn killed those strats. unsure about behemoth though
Big PSA for Atheon DPS. Sticky grenades (and trips) do MASSIVELY more damage to Atheon. Flux grenades(usable on any class) do 200k and can be thrown every 3ish seconds. Should be the easiest 1 phase for even new lights
On DSC first encounter we do it differently, and it can make the first encounter doable in one phase, and with only 2 people using the mechanics (more blueberry-friendly). Operator keeps the buff and starts on the dark side (where scanner spawns). Once scanner knows the location of the terminals on dark, BOTH go for the middle, and while scanner continues on scanning, now on light, operator just goes down and starts the dark terminals while waiting for the light terminals call. Then on DMG phase you have 5 people in the top, and if you have the third person just take the operator buff, then the rest should be smooth from there. I've done several times this, and it's been in most cases 1-phased.
For Vog, in both boss fights, all but 1 person will die before the encounter start and only respawn a when called for. In Templar the hydra, the one person alive will grab Shield and wait at its spawn spot for oracle's and when damage phase starts, everyone respawns to kill the boss. For atheon the final boss everyone but one dies so the only person alive will be sent to do oracles solo and everyone else respawns to open teleporter and have more people doing damage earlier then regular strategy.
@@blookey5707 Happened to do it for the first time tonight with LFG, will definitely be incorporating it into my usual team's Trio runs if it still works the same with less people
For dsc on the final fight I like to grab scanner. Not because we use it or anything, but when damage phase starts one of the roles is deactivated, if you have someone running scanner, they have a chance, though it is random, to protect your suppressor and operator by getting your scanner deactivated. Just drop it into the console and by the time damage is over you'll be able to grab it again and proceed. It's helped a lot in my runs over the years of doing this raid. Anyone is welcome to give it a shot.
My first raid ever was a 4-man VOG with a group that had been practicing trio strats on it, and yeah, they just bleakwatcher spammed and pushed the praetorians off lol
The trick to making the 10 10 10 strat on consectated mind is have the 3rd gambit person link up to start the encounter and b line it to the relay, they will be enlightend for a short while and can kill/ unsheild goblins while 1 is grabbing motes. It can still get tight but it gives you some wiggle room.
Kalli - I believe it can also still be kept in place with Witherhoard too. To start the fight, only one person goes on a plate and one waits and sticks Kalli with a WH/Anarchy as soon as the shield goes down, then run to the person on plate duty. Refresh WH/anarchy on a regular basis and you get to do the whole phase without her teleporting. Once her health bar is done, stop shooting and go to centre. Once she teleports there, fart in her general direction to finish her off. Shuro Chi - mechanics normal, you forgot to mention to never pick up the Eye of Riven Riven - cheese strat: everybody sword it up, any titan in the ft should swap to stasis. After the starting plates, everybody runs to the left room first and waits a 5-10 sec to see if a silhouette of Riven floats through the darkness on the stage. If not, run to a back wall that'll display joining allies and once you're teleported to the starting location leg it to the right hand room instead. When Riven is out, well of radiance if available, titans pop super and, hugging the paw, go nuts with the heavy attack. Haven't tested with hunter strand super, but I suspect the light attack might also work. To be tested. Again, never pick up the Eye of Riven. Atrax - if you don't have Parasite, use Grand Overture. You can pre the 20 rockets on the interactables (e.g.the elevator buttons) before the fight even starts, then just unload the volley on Atrax with the others. Then cuiras tcrash on final stand.
Last wish vault. I would usually suggest to people look at the first letter of penumbra and antumbra. The "tail end" of the letter will help remind you which is left and right when reading. p = left ------- a= right
As for last wish in kail. Teams do number for doors and use the order the fireteam is in the rooster on social tab to decide the numbering. Top is number 1 and bottom is number 6 For the orger morgeth most teams wing it with doing first to pick up will also pick up last. With one side 1 person picks up 2 taken and becomes clenser after being clensed. With riven cheese it done with swords, well and surge mods and 1 tractor cannon. Some people want to leave ads alive to do sunbracers. Behemoth titan is also used on the hand fron the nails you just heavy attck with synthocepts on.
Neat little bungo game design flaw for 3rd encounter of DSC, when the nuclear cores spawn, both players who pick up the cores immediately go to orbit, causing the reactor deposit locations to all permanently be active, no front/back (or 1/2) call outs. Just dump the cores on left and right, doing the encounter as normal minus specific depositing.
For Nezerac, you can also sword strat just like Rhulk. Just need to make sure you have a well or two and/or a Titan with Banner shield. Lament does work. Tractor is effective, but if that person wants to use Heartshadow you're in for a two phase anyway. No need to seek plates with this one, but is risky.
The biggest advantage of the 15/15 strategy for the Garden final boss is that once a relay is filled vex can't sacrifice into it which we find makes the fight much less hectic.
For the vault encounter in Last Wish I have this play on words method to remember. “My Aunt is always right” some people say aunt as Ant and one of my aunts was strict so she was always right
For Last Wish Riven: Behemoth Titan Super shreds Riven. Just use your super on the left stairs, around the middle of these stairs, and constantly slam. Back up while slamming, so you stay in place. You can also proc Synthoceps for 50% more super damage. This is so powerful that you would only need 3 Titans to kill her.
On caretaker, if your team has really good dps it is possible to skip the final floor. Usually, most teams hit the damage threshold to send caretaker to the next floor on the second plate during dps, completely wasting the dmg you could do during the third. If you swap to primaries/specials when you are close to the threshold on second plate, you can dump full dmg on the remaining plate. It’s not too difficult to do half of his health per floor with this strat, and it causes you to “skip” the third floor, immediately opening the staircase to final stand
you can extend this even further. doing the 3rd plate is usually not necessary and eats up unnecessary ressources like extra wells or debuff ammo. if your getting the mechanics done reasonably fast its very common to simply nuke on plate 2, waiting is often pointless. less applicable in lfg runs but nothing is stopping you from skipping the 2nd and 3rd floor. if you simply nuke the remaining 2/3 of his hp in the 2-3 seconds you get, you can go from floor 1 (plate 1 even) all the way to final.
For a lot of bosses the speedrun strat is actually verity's brow. It's used in Atheon because there's so many ads and you get your grenade in 2 seconds. It's used in Daughters of Oryx but that's only because speedrunners doing daughter need to be on an eager edge sword and thus need to save ammo. The same goes for Golgoroth where people need to be on swords for the jumping puzzle. Also in Rhulk verity's is used for some cases and people don't need swords since it's the final boss so here verity's is a viable strat if someone else is using it. The Rhulk strat is leaving the ads in the bottom allive and then during damage when they have multiplied you can use them for death throes stacks.
verity is used a lot for ammo efficiency reasons (mainly in oryx encounters) but for atheon and vow its optimal. nades get a massive damage buff in vow and on atheon making single fusion nades chunk about as much as some supers do.
For the Riven cheese: Stasis Titan super + synthoceps will take >75% of her health by itself. Stand in the middle of the stairs facing her toe, and then spam the heavy attack to make your crystals shatter under her foot. Also works with the Stasis heavy wave frame grenade launcher.
For Oryx if you dont have someone running Tether for the debuff, INSTEAD OF USING DIV, have someone use Tractor on his hand with double pellet shotguns. Make sure its pellet not Slug. This gives you the debuff and will do more damage than a div user.
For DSC Atraks use Grand Overture instead of Parasite. There is enough time while waiting for the elevators to open that you can shoot the immune Atraks and get your 20 stacks. Ride the elevators up then reload and swap to missile mode to prep for damage phase.
Idk if this is helpful, but when I was doing GOS speeds, I usually did a 2 - 4 strat for first encounter. Somebody has to pick up twice sometimes so you might lose a token but it makes it go just a little quicker. That and I’d split on the second encounter with 2 people going right and the rest doing the regular route. Other than that, you DO NOT need to build platforms on Sanctified. Seems like building is a really good way to mess up and make the encounter longer than necessary.
For caretaker, use one off supers for when the damage threshold is met for bonus damage, and for oryx dont use div, have a tractor cannon guy walk up to his hand with a fusion for damage
you glossed over the non boss encounters in VoG, so im gonna drop some common knowledge for the other 3 encounters just in case. confluxes: its an add clear encounter, so slay out with whatever you want, but occasionally boss wyverns spawn, burst em down. occasionally overload minotaurs spawn, either burst em if you have high enough damage or bring something with anti overload. oracles: xenophage can let 1 player do all oracles on one side of the map, meaning you only need 3 people doing oracles at all, and the other 3 can do addclear/sniperwatch. if youre doing challenge, everyone packing xeno is a solid plan, and shotguns and fusion rifles also work perfectly well here. gatekeeper: a lot of players (not necesarily teams, but individual players) are cheesing the encounter with stasis these days. a guy can go into a portal, freeze the shielded minotaur, and push him off the map while killing the add waves and wyverns that spawn. if you got a guy that does that, great i guess, the relic guy can chill in the other portal, or in the main room if 2 people wanna show off. other than that, probably wanna stay away from really close range stuff since if you cant burst the wyverns instantly, they can instantly pop you at point blank range barring exceptional circumstances. plate people still want anti overload stuff or big burst damage.
I really like the Divinity circle technique on Rulk in VOW. Div user just tap fires rulk while walking in a circle around his feet. He gets stun locked.
Everyone here talks about how they apriciate that you don't milk the video, but damn i'd love me some 1h video from Datto about Raids haha - but of course, thank you for so much inside in under 30m :)
In vow in the exhibition encounter (the one where you run and kill ads) on the second room (after picking up taken ball) the person with the shield should go right side. As for on the left side you can hug the left most wall where the first glyph keeper spawns to remove the darkness thus not needing the shield untill they meet up top middle.
If anyone is watching this in the episode 2 era, for gos making 1st enc faster, you van use the lost signal gl to open any of the boxes pre angelic kill. Same strat works for 2nd enc. Just split team to 2 and 4 leave one person w buff on plate 1 so no sacs. Then the remaining players can split from said plates to 3. For 3rd enc you only really need 2ppl for eyes and each solo the eyes with a slug. First motes for 10*3 should always be on eager edge and swap to trac for boss. And for last encounter, trini ghoul makes the enc a joke. Trini+sniper+rocket/edge transit and its free kill. These are just some tips for a speedier perspective for gos.
DSC first encounter. I'm still a proponent of Wardcliff strats. You can comfortably nuke a fuse with a single shot if you know what you're doing so it can make it go a bit faster if the other players aren't super quick on taking out their fuses with xeno.
If your using rockets but also have a Div, I would save it until after you have dumped all of your own rockets. Rockets don’t get a crit multiplier and you can substitute the weakening effect with a smoke bomb, void soul or vortex made w/ undermining. Just make sure your using a launcher that shots fast. Don’t discount other machine guns or even Heavy GLs either.
When my clan was trying for Flawless DSC, our clan leader was pushing 2x2 for Taniks because it was safer. We failed for like 2 weeks before we convinced him to try 4-bomb and got it first try XD
Most LFGs for VoG I have done use a strategy of jumping off the edge in Templar and Atheon and having 1 person, break oracles, or take down the shield. I personally don't like the strategy even if it does increase damage but I do see it a lot.
For Riven: All titans on Stasis + Synthos. Leave some ads alive in the middle and bash heavy attack on her hand. All crystals will explode inside her dealing massive dmg with the synthos perk!
So for Titans who may not have a good Linear, a really safe and solid option is Xenophage. I still use it for Security in Deep Stone and Atheon in VoG (mostly for Oracles) it still hits decently hard and with Surge mods going (Path of Burning Steps is honestly so fun for this) it can keep up with most linears, especially if you go Actium War Rig over POBS
It's actually doing pretty well as I understand it. Lightfall was a big peak, but we're in the third season of this expansion now, and so of course you're not gonna have the same numbers by this point. I haven't seen numbers on the current season, but last time people were talking about this a season ago, it compared just about the same as the last few expansions going by Steam numbers (can't speak for console, I assume it's proportionate but don't actually know).
Having done garden a few times, I’m convinced people only hate the boss because they never found a team coordinated enough to build. My team that I did the GoS seal with were so chill. I was builder for most of our runs. They were content with how I handled it because it was minimally intrusive. Also yes, I doubt anyone knows how to do a double break. Myself included. The first break that starts damage is very obvious. Big red or blue cross you have to tether to… where’s the second big cross for the second break?
There are a lot of ways we are doing these raids now days that are completely different than they were originally. I feel like you missed the ball on some of these encounter guides. But who am I lol
If you want to learn the next steps, check out Llama's raid mastery guides. These explain some of the less commonly knows strategies commonly used by speedrunners etc. One such example is you can kill all the wizards in Ir Yut through the wall with stasis warlock, allowing you to start dmg much quicker
My team uses a strat for Rhulk where a warlock places a well in the center and I run T crash Titan with cuirass, Tractor and riptide. My team sits near the stairs while I tank Rhulk and aggro him so my team doesn’t miss a shot and no one gets knocked off. Surprisingly I pumped out 4 Million damage doing this while I was just using tractor, riptide and T crash with a two phase. It’s very consistent and easy to pull off so it’s not so hectic with Rhulk running everywhere.
Atraks Note: operators can knock the things off their own heads with ricochet rounds. If you have someone who knows how to do it, they can cover all of that.
I do lfgs alot and personally i never run rockets due to teammates jumping around and getting me killed so my go to is sleeper with the catalyst and honestly its fairly decent damage especially if you have a div. Also for planets if your using precision weps and you dont have a div aim for his flamer canister i mention this every time and so many People are unaware of it.
Before I watch the video, I just want to express how appreciative I'm sure a bunch of us are that you don't milk the hell out of this type of video and make a single one instead of a bunch of different ones.
yuuuup
Easily could have each raid its own 20 minutes if he wanted. So glad he didn’t !!!
you speak for us all my friend
And he put chapters instead of making us guess
bonus tip: keep a class item from each raid. some raid mods like enhanced relay defender, enhanced voltaic ammo collector, enhanced operator augment, Release Recover, Into the Light, and more are better than the +3 stats from an artifice class item.
Healing is still good though.
sword guard doesnt decrease environment dmg, so it doesnt change anything (as of this season)

Tbh I was kinda surprised he didn't mention this
Came into comments just to tell him this...
As well as that the Taken Blight holder doesn't have to jump back and forth because they will only protect key ads/glyph keepers on one side per room
But on the other hand Datto's whole thing is no cheese...
@@matwill8608 true but it’s about how everyone is running the raid :3
@matwill8608 *proceeded to talk how everyone uses riven cheese*
Kind of similar to the strategy Datto mentions, but no need for two people to use swords or be downstairs at the same time.
just play the encounter for fuck's sake. it's literally the best in the game.
You can also stack overture rockets on immune atraks clones.
ive also heard fourth horseman is better than parasite for atraks but not sure havent tried it myself
Its 3rd room but yes very true
Shuro chi plates can be done before reaching the puzzle room. You can send one person ahead to complete the puzzle while everyone else is doing the normal encounter or even before you start the encounter at all. It is a cheese but if kalli trapping was mentioned then pre-plating should too
Kali trapping is like valid. Pre plating is only something u do if you’re speed running or REALLY trash at the game
@@stevenm11920 and who made you the arbiter of cheeses?
pre plating is a lot less common than kali trapping and most teams don't do it from my experience so that's why it wasn't mentioned probably
can you hit all of the plates solo if it's pre? if so that's cracked
@@NobleVI_343you have to die in between doing each set of plates but yes, it's soloable
For shiro chi you didn’t mention early solving where you hop on and off the plate quickly to permanently solve the puzzle so you can just proceed to the next room without wasting time during the encounter
a thing i highly recommend for DSC third encounter if you play with newer people or that have some difficulties to communicate
when you are operator, you can look at what bomb spawns and there will be yellow lines next to it giving you a countdown when all 3 will just spawn in, so you can easily wait like 10sec so your supressor has time to stun before the bombs are even picked up and the rest can get in place for pickups, just generally nice to give the newer folks a bit more time
16:11 Aegis can stick to the right while everyone on the left can just hug certain spots of the wall to slowly cleanse stacks of darkness
For caretaker on vow try to make sure he stays above the damage threshold on the first 2 plates, then go to town on him on the 3rd. If you get him to final you can skip the last level
If you have a really good team you can take him to final on the first level
In Last Wish (at least in my experience) the Force (Right) strategy is significantly more common than standard, since it means only a couple of people need to be familiar with the mechanics. The change from what Datto mentions is having two people on left each pick up one at a time, and on right side, have one person pick up both. There's very little difference between both strategies, but it does mean two different people are available to pick up eyes, which helps to mitigate bad luck with captain spawns.
i legitmately love teaching people how to do the vault in last wish so much
Vow has the best raid mod ever released in its pool.
It helps to have a banner of war titan for survivability and more sword damage
(I promise this works, my brain hasn't been fried from running Nez checkpoint 25 times in two days)
Div rockets and 5 Goldies is a one phase now post Goldie buff
The best explanation I've ever heard for last wish vault room was datto's explanation at GDQ.
I have to correct you on the DSC 3rd encounter! The faster everyone kills the spawning adds, the faster the dunk phase begins. We position everyone to a spawn area and literally get the Dunks done in 20 ish seconds!
I went looking for a source on this, and it's mentioned in the lowman server's duo flawless DSC guide, so it's likely accurate
@@life-destiny1196 i can tell you for a fact that it is true lol
@@life-destiny1196 the entire raid is adlocked. everything happens faster if you kill ads faster.
Updated: Whisperer of the Worm crafted version is now the meta on oryx
For morgeth, there is a spot you can go to under the bridge that makes you join allies at the start of the encounter. You can use this to get rid of the first orb as it doesn't respawn when disposed of in that way.
For DSC 3rd encounter the main strategy I’ve seen is ‘chaos mode.’ Everyone just picks up whatever buff whenever they want. That lets less confident players ignore the mechanic entirely if they choose to.
Chaos strat is goated.
Here's an abridged list of the things that damage bosses faster than Thunderlord does:
Sleeper Simulant, Whisper of the Worm, Retrofit Escapade, Xenophage, Briar's Contempt (surrounded), Two-Tailed Fox, double shotgun swapping (especially given the grapple discovery recently, and especially if you're also using Tractor Cannon anyway), Gjallarhorn dumping, Merciless, several swords, Leviathan's Breath, basically any BnS Apex Predator strat, Berserker ability spam, Lucky Pants Malfeasance or Warden's Law, 1KV, Legend of Acrius, Rewind/BnS Supremacy, Fourth Horseman, and Cascade Point heavy GLs.
Thunderlord is poo but the LFGs love it 😭
For second to last encounter of vog you can solo Mars by using a stasis build or tractor cannon to push off the shielded minotaur of the sides of the arena, not the back, which means shield doesn't need to be passed and more people can be outside. The shield will still need to be in Venus to break shields though.
Thunderlord vitriol is a side effect from the disastrous effects that Root had on LFG. Nezarec had such little health that the damage bug made people think that thunderlord was any good. It's not. Machine guns are not good for DPS, rockets win out 99% of the time, with the other 1% being swords for Crota.
trusting lfgs to hit the boss with rockets can be a big ask
The Garden guide is so uninformed for LFG. On Sanctified, no one uses double break. People always end up getting tethered while trying to do damage and you end up taking about 5% of health off of the boss.
You can easily one phase or at least do 50% with a single tether.
not to mention div is awful for both bosses and is worse than having no debuff at all
yeah theres a good bit of this video that is just wrong or outdated
Few tips:
One person left will say “L2L5” and one person right says their 2
This is exactly what i wanted! This video will be so clutch for months to come as new people attempt raids for the first few times.
Also what my group does with catchy call outs like "Ants in the Forest" "Ants on the Rocks" or "Ball Point Pen"
12:35 Grand Overture also works very well. Just build stacks by shooting the panels
vow 3rd encounter has a cheese strat where people on the left side of the third room can stick to the wall and not get prevading darkness. this part is usually the most messy because the aegis normally has to jump across a huge gap to cleanse everyone, with this cheese the shield can just stay on the right and left side won't have to cleanse until they meet up at the other side.
A note for Riven, have Titans use stasis with Synthoceps, it does over 1 million damage to her and out damages swords for riven. you can duo riven with 2 stasis titans
I forget if they changed anything, but you could solo riven with sunbracers too
@@buldor6 sunbracers and hypotrochoid on riven are dead, same hit detection change that nerfed Gjallarhorn killed those strats. unsure about behemoth though
The Atheon bit makes sense I've done that; the Templar strat I've never seen tho, what's the play for everyone dying on that one?
@nyhxe it's to skip the first wave of oracle's and get to damage without doing them
@@blookey5707 Happened to do it for the first time tonight with LFG, will definitely be incorporating it into my usual team's Trio runs if it still works the same with less people
For dsc on the final fight I like to grab scanner. Anyone is welcome to give it a shot.
for VoG, most teams are using Conditional Finality to freeze the praetorians and push them off the edge in the gatekeepers encounter
Special GL's with Disorienting grenades work as well, that's what my trio raid team has been using it works quite nicely
My first raid ever was a 4-man VOG with a group that had been practicing trio strats on it, and yeah, they just bleakwatcher spammed and pushed the praetorians off lol
@@life-destiny1196 it's a very satisfying strat imo lol
I find tractor to work the best, freezing is annoying
Shuro Chi - mechanics normal, you forgot to mention to never pick up the Eye of Riven
Riven - cheese strat: everybody sword it up, any titan in the ft should swap to stasis.
The "tail end" of the letter will help remind you which is left and right when reading.
p = left ------- a= right
As for last wish in kail. Teams do number for doors and use the order the fireteam is in the rooster on social tab to decide the numbering. Top is number 1 and bottom is number 6
For the orger morgeth most teams wing it with doing first to pick up will also pick up last.
As a vet with less time to play nowadays I'm loving these helpful videos as well as the helpful comments with tips and tricks.
We had a clan member eager edging every carrier in queenswalk even after we kept wiping. He was removed from the clan shortly after lol
So crazy helpful. Thank you, Datto.
Did the all Lament Strat on Rhulk last season. It was close but we got the kill
gz bro
Been wanting a video like this for sometime especially after coming back to raids after maybe months/years
For the Riven cheese: Stasis Titan super + synthoceps will take >75% of her health by itself. Stand in the middle of the stairs facing her toe, and then spam the heavy attack to make your crystals shatter under her foot. Also works with the Stasis heavy wave frame grenade launcher.
Wave frames were patched on riven, as well as sunbracers. They act normally now.
Ward cliff is very good for the first encounter on deepstone. The batteries count as vehicles allowing you to almost 1 hit them
Idk if this is helpful, but when I was doing GOS speeds, I usually did a 2 - 4 strat for first encounter.
IIRC Bastion and Fourth Horseman are also good picks for that.
Most teams one-break sanc to use enhanced relay defenders on the other tether for the damage increase to push. Usually not because they can't.
When my clan was trying for Flawless DSC, our clan leader was pushing 2x2 for Taniks because it was safer. We failed for like 2 weeks before we convinced him to try 4-bomb and got it first try XD
One of this video for dungeons, can be really cool.
thanks for the video!
using anything other than xeno verity’s brow atheon is crazy
Most LFGs for VoG I have done use a strategy of jumping off the edge in Templar and Atheon and having 1 person, break oracles, or take down the shield. I personally don't like the strategy even if it does increase damage but I do see it a lot.
On templar it’s useless idk why lfgs do it on that.
For Riven: All titans on Stasis + Synthos. Leave some ads alive in the middle and bash heavy attack on her hand. All crystals will explode inside her dealing massive dmg with the synthos perk!
Love the video! Wanted to do a LW but wasn’t sure how people were doing riven
I know destiny 2 isnt at the peak of popularity but I'll always watch a datto video day of
It's actually doing pretty well as I understand it.
@@life-destiny1196 I imagine the game is doing well numbers wise but datto made a post that destiny channels are dealing with less views and subs
Thanks, Datto! This will help our new lights in the clan!
1K Voices works surprisingly well for the security encounter in DSC on the off chance that you have 1K but not Xeno
Exhibition is always done with self cleanse in 3rd room
Good video, Datto, now i can actually do the raids!
The guide we deserve,
Not the one we need
LFG strats are funny. Imagine spending two hours in a raid that should only take 30 minutes
There are a lot of ways we are doing these raids now days that are completely different than they were originally. I feel like you missed the ball on some of these encounter guides. But who am I lol
Thanks datto, this was a nice refresher
I just have this to say; keep comms clear, and communicate as soon as something goes wrong, especially if you’re in an lfg team.
Also for planets if your using precision weps and you dont have a div aim for his flamer canister i mention this every time and so many
