@ELIJAH SMITH Because his soul is split up now. There is no way to revive him again, and because when he first died, only a fraction of him went away, Brok is prevented from entering an afterlife. Sindri didn't just lose his brother physically, but spiritually too. When Sindri dies and goes to the well of souls (however long that may be), Brok will not be on the other side waiting for him. They will never reunite.
I like the detail that the elevator crashes to a stop sooner than Sindri was expecting because the pile of rings had grown so much taller since he was last down there
So something I didn't think about, which is concerning. Draupnir, as the artifact is in the mythology, has an enchantment that makes it 'drip' eight exact-copies of itself at the end of every ninth night. Which is remarkable, after a year you'll make roughly 320 rings; each made out of gold and could be worth a lot. Infinite money, basically. During this scene in the game, the Ring duplicates in Sindri's hands and he almost drops it, concerned that it's no longer the real one. It then duplicates again before he gives it to Brok, which relieves Sindri, and freaks me the fuck out. The timestamp for the first dupe is 2:51, the second at 3:53, roughly one fucking minute later. There are 1,440 minutes in a day. 8 per minute would mean Draupnir in the game makes 11,520 copies *every, single, day* "That is....I can't imagine.." - Freya lol Now, I don't know how long ago from that point Brok and Sindri stole Draupnir back, but assuming they started with just Draupnir and no other rings, they'd be handling 4,204,800 every year. That's not just infinite wealth. That's *unhinged* infinite wealth. That's gotta be one big ass hole they have or they really do use that much material lmao
Did it say it will make all 8 copies instantly? Maybe it makes 8 copies throughout the ninth night in multiple instances. Like the first time we see it copy itself, there's not 8 but like 3 or so copies. A minute later and 3 more copies
Honestly thought of Brok's statement and he's right. Plenty for supplies since that hole was definitely designed to be far down in the Earth but they stopped after less than a minute of going down which means it's nearly fully of golden rings. More than a lifetime's money trove.
@@ktp01 That's not the point. The point is that it's way crazier than the original, AND Draupnir's mere existence in the world would shoot the value of gold over time to damn near nothing. Gold is dense, so a tiny ring like that could have some weight to it. Let's say, each ring weighs about 0.3 lbs each. After a year, they'd get a pile of 1,261,440 lbs of gold for free. That's stupid. They've honestly made a Treasure Trove that can't be found by anyone. As soon as it is, it'll be taken and spent willy nilly and then the treasure will lose all its value because of supply and demand. Honestly, it's a good thing they basically killed the Ring by making it into a Spear. Now the world just has a couples worth of those obscene piles of gold in the world that Sindri will probably keep secret. Otherwise, idfk what would've happened
The real Tyr would be the opposite and would want to help Kratos fight Heimdall he probably hates him just as much as everyone on Asgard did and supports Kratos plan to protect Atreus. And wouldn’t of cared that draupnir got taken back
@@littlepenguinowo1819 most likely since he might of been one of the few people who can touch him. Plus I bet Heimdall would insult Tyr by calling him a giant lover and a traitor
Man I knew the Draupnir ring was going to play some part in the game bc of its inclusion in the collectors edition, never expected them to turn it into a weapon. A badass weapon at that
Sindri and Brok never deserved this… although Brok wanted to die or rest in peace finally and his death was quick which was good😢 Sindri still couldn’t accept the fact that Brok is actually gone for good, now he’s alone… and like he said They kept on taking and taking until Sindri is left with nothing. even his family is gone😭 REST IN PEACE BROK
Tbh if it wasn't for artreus and kratos he wouldn't be speaking to brok anyway, artreus did the best he could as well did the rest of them, there is always casualties in war unfortunately brok being one of them but they did create moljnir which started aesirs war path on the giants, so although sindris grief is heavy his blame towards artreus and kratos is unwarranted but that's what grief does
I love how Kratos stood up for Brok when he wanted to speak to the lady. Kratos doesn't even know who the lady is he just saw that Sindri was being unfair lmao.

when he said he gave them his treasure he meant this . and you can tell he wasnt really sure about giving it away but he still did even tough that wasnt his fight .
I really love how they showcase stuff without explanation. Sindri says his "I think" in quite a worried manner, later being relieved when the ring multiplies. All that shows just how terrifying it would be to lose the ring in that sea of rings without ever knowing which one is the real one.
The first game tears your heart over the relationship of Father and son The second game tears your heart over the relationship of EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE AND IT SPITS ON YOUR HEART, SQUASHES IT, BREAKS IT INTO PIECES, STOMPS ON IT AND VOMITS ALL OVER IT JUST TO FORCE FEED YOU WITH IT.
Regardless what happened, without Sindri and Brok helping building a new weapon for Kratos, Hendall would kill Atreus and the rest of rebellion. Like i said, we can’t predict the outcome.
I don't quite understand how/why Kratos needed the spear to kill heimdall. Hell, he strangled him to death in the end. I think it was just that Kratos was better. And Heimdall can't handle skilled opponents - like we saw how he was afraid to cross Thor. You can read your opponents mind all day, but if you can't stop them from enacting their thoughts, you're just getting previews of coming attractions.
@@AStrangeWindmill Heimdall is extremely arrogant, Kratos taking pity on him and trying to spare him probably made him see red and he became alot more reckless. Early on he still keeps a cool head while being arrogant but towards the end after being wounded that cool is gone.
now we knew the reason why Sindri insist it must be him who go to see the 'lady', since he usually never want to go to anywhere with Kratos since he's "too dirty and violent" the Lady talk to the soul, since Brok are incomplete, the Lady obviously gonna ignore him and blew Sindri's secret.
So cool knowing how the story plays out, you can see exactly what they had in mind and they knew it would work when describing the spear. "Tyr's" dialogue trying to keep the peace. Then further leading in to how Odin visited AND they even discussed how he knew they were lying but he let things slide.
Mimir: Draupnir?! I bloody knew these two had nicked it... and Odin blamed me for it disappearing... Tyr: 'They' stole Draupnir? Notice how Tyr phrases that and cuts off Sindri from walking without even so much as giving the dwarf a glance. Didn't even notice it myself until I saw this for a second time, clever hint.
Yeah that was rather an odd part of the story. Heimdall is the single-handed gatekeeper of ragnarok and Odin let him die? That doesn't make sense. At the same time brok and sindri didn't go to full length as to how the weapon actually works in the house, brok did that only in front of Kratos
As a fake Tyr he tried to convince them to make peace with Odin, also he wanted to learn their plan for killing Heimdall so he could react to it somehow but both Sindri and Brok didn't want to tell it in front of him and Brok told Kratos when they were alone. What else could he do?
@@RJWaynerium i think it's because odin's ego led him to becoming was convinced that his entire "master plan" was working. averting ragnarok and the unlocking rift was odin's main goal, and he was willing to do anything to achieve them. odin was fully aware of the risk and certainty that kratos will kill heimdall, but he was likely assuming that he would have won by then. he probably thought that getting closer and working with atreus would outpace kratos' own plans, so keeping heimdall alive would give odin more time, which was more valuable to him than gjallahorn at this point
@@RJWaynerium yeah and he say "we are square with Hemdall" thats all Heim looks like the right hand of Odin, not Thor the delivery boy Not only watch the city but the people and from inside themselfs is like loosing your queen in chess LMAO
@@walo351I have hope he will go back on some circumstances and if he does I want his travel companions to be Mimir and Tyr for obvious reasons mainly because Tyr has been there before and has spent more time there then Kratos’ brief time. Plus Tyr most likely knows it’s language and is hopefully on good terms with the Gods of Egypt
“No matter what you thought I understood, my son is in danger. I will not allow harm to come to him”. That is amazing, and chilling! Kratos does not play when it comes to Atreus. He will go back to GOW 3 Kratos in a snap if he has to! The God Killer!
I like how Sindri says he has to talk to the lady and that there's a reason as to why Brok can't talk to the "Lady" the reason is because of his 3/4 soul and she can only see whole souls. Cool little addition. The reason Brok doesn't have a whole soul is because he actually died but Sindri couldn't be alone and went to the lake of souls and only managed to get 3 of Brok's 4 souls. Btw that's not why he's blue.
Atreus mauled Sindri as a bear, not on purpose but he was definitely hurt. Still Sindri was willing to give up his most prized treasure to save him. Just one of the many little things that piled up throughout the whole story until Brok's death became the final tipping point. Just break the heart watching his tragedy.
It really makes sense how passive this version of Tyr is, at first I thought, man this guy is very cowardly, and paranoid about avoiding war, despite being a god of war, how could he possibly broker a peace, if his version of diplomacy is effectively capitulation. And then I realized, who he was, very clever
2:50 I can imagine that Draupnir was alive in some way; it split into copies so that it may stay with its 'masters', so that it may not leave home. Can't help but feel sorry for it, when you think about it that way.
3:40 little error. In 2018 Mimir states that the Aesir are the ones that call the land of the dwarves svartlfiem due to their ignorance. In actuality Sindri should be calling it Niodvalir as that’s what the dwarves actually call their realm.
There are about 1,329,832 Draupnir copies in the cave (+1 original)! Draupnir has been in that cave for about 4104 of our years. See below for math. Draupnir creates 8 copies of itself on every 9th day. Roughly 324 new rings appear during each of our years. This ring looks like it's about 1cm thick, and the average ring diameter for men is about 1.6cm. Accounting for material thickness, let's say each ring is (roughly) a cylinder with a radius of 1cm and a height of 1cm. This gives us a volume of 3.14 cubic centimeters. Densely packed circles (hexagonal arrangement) fill 91% of the space they occupy. Let's be charitable and say that the rings are packed fairly densely - maybe 80%, accounting for the fact that rings can intersect each other slightly and that a bunch of disc-shaped objects will most likely settle parallel to the floor. For the Z dimension, let's assume that the rings are stacked in 1.2cm-thick layers (it won't be perfect, obviously - I chose this arbitrarily). A cubic meter would contain about 21,165 rings. (~83 layers, each layer has a total area of 1000cm^2, 80% packing density = 800cm^2, 800 divided by cross-sectional area of ring (3.14cm^2) = ~255, 255 * 83 = 21,165.) The chamber appears to be fairly large, maybe 10 meters in diameter based on Sindri's size. We don't know how deep the rings are piled, but let's say that it's 2 meters. That's a total volume of ~62.8 cubic meters occupied by rings, which means that there are about 1329839 rings in the cave. However, Draupnir produces copies in increments of 8, so 1329839 % 8 = 7, which means that there are a total of 1329832 copies and 1 original in the cave. 1329832/324 new rings per year = 4104 years. Not gonna do the leap year calculation.
3:52 a small detail that I love is that Sindri for a moment doubted he had the original ring when it replicated in the cavern and he had to react quickly to catch it. Of course when it replicated again in his fingers, there was no longer doubt he had the real one, but was smart enough not to mention that to Brok who was confused by his statement. Sindri would’ve likely have been lambasted for it!
So the funny thing is that The Norns never said Heimdall would kill Atreus, only that he intended to. Kratos just jumped to that conclusion, and rushed off to kill him just like they said he would. They even mocked him for it. On top of their general mocking, that is. "Again he misses the point." "Focusing on the second act to the exclusion of the final. A common mistake in story-craft." Ironically, although their power is insignificant in comparison to the Greek Fates, it is because of that that they cannot be meaningfully defeated. They have no control over the story, they just call it like they see it; killing them would accomplish nothing.
They are Giantesses so they can see the future and the moment Kratos would attempt anything, they could create another mind illusion that can harm and occupy Kratos until they could leave.
Seems everyone's missed Sindri's hesitation. He values his friends, but he's giving them everything he has, and he realises he doesn't like that. He realises he should've set boundries but now it's too late and they are just using him.
I think that was the goal kratos had in mind, kratos would have still killed heimdall but it would have taken a huge toll on him, allowing him to be killed by thor, kratos was a genius for flying towards prophecy instead of trying to avoid it, because it made killing heimdall way easier and provided him the firepower to take down thor.
I get that Sindri lost a lot. But he and Brok did need to make up for creating Mjolnir. That weapon single handedly genocided the entire giant race, and they do bear some responsibility for that.
It’s not like they created Mjolnir FOR Thor to kill giants with. Hell, they even made the Leviathan Axe so SOMETHING would be able to go up against it.
The fact that Brok knew EXACTLY how to defeat Heimdall is amazing. And Kratos giving respect to Brok by asking his blessing just makes Brok the most gigachad out of the group.
Sindri …dear old sindri he is a reminder that when someone is always laughing or smiling or compensating they likely have something hidden in them and it can create an awe or destroy all words to match and I don’t think we seen the extent he can go to
Anyone else kinda geeking out, remember Thor in the MCU going to Nidavellir to forge a "Thanos killing" weapon and Rocket all stoked to go there. Here we are getting our own God killing weapon forged just for us in the realm of the dwarfs. When it was happening my face started to hurt from smiling too long.
No he already brought back before he is blue because he is already death once, so before gow 4 start sindri go to lake in alfheim to get brok soul but only 3 of 4 brok soul fragment. But since brok didnt want to be revived and brok body already burned. So the change to seeing brok revive again is low

If I recall right in legends a chain belt made of this rings makes anyone who wears it 3 times stronger. This belt was a thing along with magical gloves Thor had to wear to actually throw his hammer.
I never really fully understood why Draupnir WAS Heimdall's weakness. Is it because the flurry of multiple Draupnir spears summoned by Kratos overwhelm Heimdall's senses?
I personally think the spear was to serve as a distraction so Kratos could land a hit on him. The goal wasn't to throw so many things at him he couldn't dodge them, the goal was to upset him which would lead to him not being as focused.
Tyr: Violence can not prevent violence I thought you understood that! Kratos: no matter what you THOUGHT I understood my son is in danger ⚠️ I will not allow harm to come to him !!

Sindri didn't just lose his brother physically, but spiritually too. When Sindri dies and goes to the well of souls (however long that may be), Brok will not be on the other side waiting for him. I like the detail that the elevator crashes to a stop sooner than Sindri was expecting because the pile of rings had grown so much taller since he was last down there
Brilliant detail.
8 per minute would mean Draupnir in the game makes 11,520 copies *every, single, day*
"That is....I can't imagine.." - Freya lol
Now, I don't know how long ago from that point Brok and Sindri stole Draupnir back, but assuming they started with just Draupnir and no other rings, they'd be handling 4,204,800 every year. That's not just infinite wealth. That's *unhinged* infinite wealth. That's gotta be one big ass hole they have or they really do use that much material lmao
Which imagining if Sindri DID drop it would be kinda a VERY big issue
Did it say it will make all 8 copies instantly? Maybe it makes 8 copies throughout the ninth night in multiple instances. Like the first time we see it copy itself, there's not 8 but like 3 or so copies. A minute later and 3 more copies
Honestly thought of Brok's statement and he's right. Plenty for supplies since that hole was definitely designed to be far down in the Earth but they stopped after less than a minute of going down which means it's nearly fully of golden rings. More than a lifetime's money trove.
They have the entirety of the realm between realm to store supplies

So that’s why when they tried to use the realm travel it didn’t work, cause Odin (disguised as TYR) did something quick.

0:20 Bro what a epic line from Kratos
Good work with the Math
Respect the dedication even if it’s not necessity.🫡👍
assuming that draupnir is made of pure gold it'd mean they'd have $5,112,911,476.96 worth of gold with the current exchange rate.
“Unpopular at parties, this won’t be easy!” Never change sindri, never change
"Again he misses the point."
"Focusing on the second act to the exclusion of the final. A common mistake in story-craft."
Ironically, although their power is insignificant in comparison to the Greek Fates, it is because of that that they cannot be meaningfully defeated. They have no control over the story, they just call it like they see it; killing them would accomplish nothing.
They are Giantesses so they can see the future and the moment Kratos would attempt anything, they could create another mind illusion that can harm and occupy Kratos until they could leave.
So Dwarf stole draupnir and frame Mirnir so Odin take out his frustration on Mirnir and got away with it
You think about it is funny
Seems everyone's missed Sindri's hesitation. He values his friends, but he's giving them everything he has, and he realises he doesn't like that. He realises he should've set boundries but now it's too late and they are just using him.
