God of War Ragnarök is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It will be the ninth installment in the God of War series, the ninth chronologically, and the sequel to 2018's God of War. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game will be set in ancient Scandinavia and feature series protagonist Kratos and his teenage son Atreus. Serving as the finale to the Norse era of the series, the game will cover Ragnarök, a series of events that bring about the end of days, and depicts the deaths of some of the Norse gods, which was foretold to happen in the previous game after Kratos killed the Æsir god Baldur.

Some people have been noting how Kratos is much more talkative and expressive in this game compared to any other. I think that’s due to having a quipping, moral compass strapped to the side of his ass.
It helps that he has friends by his side here. His journey in Greece was a painful and solitary one by contrast.

Mimir’s voice actor is master at subtle humor, his jokes kept me going in this game, the fact that him and Kratos became bros makes his character all the better.

The first time Mimir said that on my run, it was the Killing Blow. I literally died hearing Mimir complaining about Freezing 🤣

i dont think he can die again, short i guess of like, being completely destroyed. I dont think he's technically alive
I feel like the only way to really kill mimir is to totally Destroy his head, a simple knife wouldn’t do it, maybe reduce him to ash
I honestly expected him die for good. not being killed by a foe of course but to finally decay as he mentioned and maybe kratos would mercy kill him.

When he figured of brok's ride and sadly said "A hole" I cried. Man this game is so good. It made me cry and laugh a lot.
Brok said the riddle and I said "a hole" nearly instantly. I'm no riddle master or anything, I just heard it before. I'm honestly surprised that mimir hadn't heard it before brok said it, though I suppose I had the advantage of being in possession of a device that holds nearly every piece of knowledge ever obtained by all of mankind, while mimir was stuck in a tree, then stuck as a head, with a lot less access to new information.
At the end you can use him as a relic 😂

Coming from a Scottish person, the “I’ll show you permanent damage ya wee FUCK!” line from Mimir was one of the most authentic-sounding sentences I’ve heard from a voice actor lol. One of the very first things I saw about this game and loved it.
Having mimir as the wisecracking sidekick was such a great move.
