Having just used this skillet for the first time, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxIst1DRMCWM6dgd9VjXMFXlH4HeElE6Mc to batter-fry some macaroni & cheese, I'm absolutely in love with it. The foldaway design means it actually fits in my very small kitchen, but it also makes everything crazy simple to clean. While the instructions say you should not deep fry in this, you can, but do it with your best judgment; in my case the oil didn't even reach the halfway mark. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the skillet itself has a lip in the corner. This allows steam to get out during cooking if the lid is on (so don't try to steam rice in it), and makes pouring out used oil extremely easy.Cleanup was a dream. After detaching the plug and control circuit, the unit is just three separate pieces: The skillet itself, the lid, and the base which may or may not need any cleaning at all (usually just the handles). Compared to a dedicated deep fryer I purchased in the past, where the heating element was suspended in the oil and everything was difficult to clean, the difference was amazing.I'm definitely looking forward to using this for more things in the future.
White Okay ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx6K7NWahp9y3ir1gVAwysOCHOOPSnWZbw . I got it from my browser's history. I know that it's really frustrating to be over-weighted but all is possible with a strong determination. Good luck…..
I just found hearts of palm pasta at Trader Joe's and its a world of difference from shirataki, which never stopped being borderline horrific. Well done, you. I've subscribed.
If making a traditional oven lasagna, I use sliced chicken from the deli in place of noodles. With everything baked together the texture is spot on like regular lasagna.
May I ask if it is this recipe here with chicken? Or do you really mean a traditional lasagna - like our mothers made - but with sliced chicken from the deli??
I’m new to keto and lasagna has always been one of my top five favorite dishes. So glad to have come across your video and can’t wait to try it. Looks delicious 😋
Wow you're content is amazing!!! Thank you for providing incredible recipes. I tried keto years ago and gave up. Thanks to you and others providing important content to the community I find it so much more hopeful that I'll stick to it!!
This was absolutely delicious. My husband and I started a keto lifestyle about 2 weeks ago and we absolutely devoured this. I added cayenne pepper, MSG, 4 tsp. Splenda so the sauce wouldn't be sour, a lil more spinach, and some pepper. Fabulous. Thank you.
I like to add a small tin of roughly chopped anchovy fillets (6-8?) instead of salt and a generous slug of sweet or dry vermouth in the moments after the garlic paste but before the pulped tomatoes go in to release any color caught on the bottom of the skillet from the ground beef. Never kept it all in one pan though - will try this next time I make the dish. Many thanks!
I just made this but the longer version. I put it all in a casserole dish and layered ricotta and mozzarella then topped with Asiago and parmesan. Bake for 15-20 min. Also buttered toast using Keto bread from Aldi and found the hearts of palm noodles at Kroger in the "health" food isle.. All I can say is thank you cause lasagna has always been my favorite dish.
I tried this today and it was lovely. I do think the heart of palm noodle didn’t have the right texture (not soft enough) so I might try to cook them separately and for longer next time. Otherwise everything was on point! My non-keto family members enjoyed it too (minus the fake noodles) Thanks 🙏🏻
This looks so good. We have made lasagna for years using boiled cabbage leaves in place of noodles. Just wilt the whole leaves then cut them in half lengthwise & layer them in the lasagna like the noodle. It is so good! It’s the only way we have made lasagna in probably 25-30 years.
Just subscribed,Thank you for all your hard work ,creative ideas and helpful tips for going keto.I just started this week. I do notice how negative and sometimes rude ppl can be.I hope that it slides off of you .........keep up the good job and thanks again.
I am really missing pasta so tried this recipe. I have those same noodles but found them to be very tough. I boiled them for 5 min (package says 5-10 min) and still a bit tough. My husband didn't like the noodles at all so next time I'll boil them first for 10 minutes. If I can get the noodles softer then this is a winner.
Your recipes & tips have helped me very much on my keto journey. I am still new at this but was glad to find your channel. The only thing about this video that wigs me out is the consistent use of masher. I have one, love it, use it constantly. It touches raw meat, so once I am able to separate it & things brown & put to be washed & switch to a clean utensil. I am just afraid of raw meat having anything in it.
I'm glad you are enjoying the channel. I don't mind so much when it comes to beef. We source our beef from a local rancher and trust the butcher too. I like my steaks and burgers medium rare, so it would be the same thing as eating that.
Don’t think I will try this one. But I do love most of your recipes especially your other lasagna recipe now that one is so so delicious 🤤 I think it 👅 much better then regular lasagna 🥰🥰🥰
Tip: if you don't have sausage and you do have fennel seeds, add a little fennel seed to the mixture to get that flavor. This is how Italian friends of mine make their sauce.
I've never heard of Hearts of Palm noodles. I just looked to see where I could get them from and Walmart carries them. I'll be ordering them asap! Thanks for the idea !
@@stormfurry And angel hair, also! I rinse all Palmini products well and then boil for with 2 chicken bullion cubes for 30 minutes to get it to the consistency that I like.

Were the Palm noodles tender? I would love not having to boil them first which i usually do but hey if it saves time and still comes out tender I'm just throwing them in from now on :) Thanks everything looked delish!
Looks wonderful but unfortunately I have to avoid nightshades. Any ideas on how to prepare this dish without tomatoes? It wouldn’t really be a lasagna anymore but maybe there’s someway it could still be good.

They are hard to find! I'm hoping more grocery stores will start to carry them. I've heard Trader Joes has them if you have that nearby. But it will be tasty even without them!
This looks scrumptious! Can anyone tell me where the Hearts of Palm noodles would be in a supermarket? With canned veggies? I've never even heard of them before!
I've heard Trader Joes has them. My local supermarkets don't carry them. I have to order them from Amazon. I'm hoping they will start to get more popular and we can start to find them at grocery stores.
I had not heard of them before either, but checked at my Meijer store (Midwest) and they were with the regular pasta. But were almost sold out! Trying this recipe tonight!

I like your recipes but for your lasagna made with palm noodles I highly recommend changing the noodles to anything other than palm tree products. Palm tree products are causing orangutans forests to be replaced with palm trees. The orangutan population is at high risk of going extinct.
