Those cards would never be played on this show. They don't play good custom deck. They play sealed products. Blue is the worse color in limited imo. Name me one creature that is good in blue. Outside of Pearl Lake, Silumgar's and Ojutai's and maybe Icefall Regents, none are played. Sean would get crushed by an average creature deck unless he had unreasonable amount of good counterspells ... which they don't use.

I think this just became my new favourite episode. Sean & Janet just sparkle together, their chemistry is fantastic and they looked like they were genuinely having so much fun filming this. Can't wait to see the gag reel!
I think this might be my favorite episode, great banter and i appreciate bringing beginer players on, it helps for players who dont know to much about magic to learn with them. My wife really connected with Janet and anything that might get her interested in adding Magic to our game nights is fine by me.
There's been some cool guests this season, but I'd really like to see people who are more into Magic and didn't just start playing recently. Don't have to be competitive players or anything, just people who've been playing it on and off for years like most of us.

+Smeagol the Vile well if you say that they should gloat only at good cards then there aren't any outside of Siege Rhino/Collected company and windswept heath in that clash pack. Also Janet played pretty good. They realy realy realy need established deck somehow because those duel decks or clash packs never have enough removal or board wipes to stabilize the board when you fall behind. It creates very snowbally games like have been happening in the last few episodes.
21:46-22:04 that transition from slightly hopeful to just sarcastic is just hilarious. Especially after he lays down the Longshot Squad. The way he brings out that creature followed by his explanation, you can almost taste the sarcasm as it oozes out of his voice lol.
+Patrick Marlett maybe he didn't realise. With the cameras, the multiple possible cuts and theatrical they are doing, they can easily miss it. Imo its alright.

I just started magic because of this show and I have to say, I would really enjoy playing with people like her. I get that this can be a strategy-heavy game and there will be people who just want to concentrate on the game on itself...but I rather just banter and add some life into my matches.
Harvey Hale I actually have the most fun with people who try and play the most interesting interactions. Yeah it's cool that she digs the flavor text but that would get old after a while because at the end of the day it's still a shitty card.

I have those two clash decks myself. which is why I knew she would win. I have played like 10 duels so far with them and every time the green white one won. still loved the ep! Great guest.
That was awesome, but I wish Sean had done the thing where he starts looking at the rest of his deck to see when he would have drawn his next Ultimate Price or other game saving removal. I loved the time he did that and it was the very next card.
I think this has been the most entertaining spellslingers hands down. I am sorry to see Sean smashed so badly in it but the banter was amazing! So many laughs to be had!

I guess this show isn't returning? Someone from the show stated that it would be returning early 2016. well seeing as 4 Magic expansions have passed with no new episodes it seems IMO this show has seen it's end.
Happy to see Outland Colossus doing its thing on Spellslingers! I love this card and it's been an all-star in all my current green standard decks. I don't know if the meta will ever pick up on it since they prefer lower costed cards for that price, but I highly recommend green mages give it a try! If you can cast it on turn 5 (or T3/4 in a ramp deck) your opponent is going to need an answer on their turn or as you can see, it will just stomp all over the game! Both these decks were kind of inspiring for deck building in their own way. Cool show.
