Toto presents "With A Little Help From My Friends".
The performance captures one special night on November 21, 2020 when Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams and David Paich appeared with the new line-up of TOTO for a global event originating from Los Angeles, CA. Joining Lukather, Williams and Paich for this next chapter in their indelible history are new band members bassist John Pierce (Huey Lewis and The News), drummer Robert “Sput” Searight (Ghost-Note / Snarky Puppy), and keyboardist / background vocalist Steve Maggiora (Robert Jon & The Wreck). Keyboardist Dominique “Xavier” Taplin (Prince, Ghost-Note) and multi-instrumentalist / vocalist Warren Ham (Ringo Starr) segued over continuing their tenure in the ensemble. This marks the fifteenth incarnation of the TOTO line-up in consideration of band members or sidemen who joined or exited.

See kids, no autotune,
no tricks, just pure
Talent 🎸😎😃
No auto tune? Lol! But yes, they do sound great.
Kids today… what’s this talent thing the old people keep talking about?
Exatamente!
@atquinn1975 no autotune. In fact, both Steve and Joseph are out of tune at several points. And it's precisely those imperfections what makes then great.
no need to talk fast either. what comes out of their mouths is on key.
Thank you Steve Lukather for keeping Toto going. Don’t ever stop
That’s why Steve Porcaro is not part of this
@@brianpratts elaborate please
@@TheRedDevil_NC No I’m asking
@@brianpratts Steve was out of the group for long stretches before. So it's like whatever.
I finally confirmed Arguing with all my friends over the years the part where he says I didn’t know a girl like you could ever GO for me, he actually says CARE for me. He says care on the album version too. I win 🥇
These are some of the most unsung and under-appreciated musicians of the last 50 years. Anyone who disagrees doesn't understand music or musicianship. Forgetting about the innovative music they made as Toto for a minute, just look at their body of work as session musicians. I don't remotely understand any negative reactions to what Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, David Paich and Steve Porcaro are still doing. Is it a shame that they're not all playing together as a band - it sure is, but all I ask is that they carry on and make the music that they've been playing. It makes this world a better place (no pun intended) and satisfies a need in my soul to hear real music being made. No auto tune, no click tracks, no bullshit. I heard them live a few years ago at a tiny venue in New Hampshire. They just blew me away. If you don't dig them, then don't listen. The world we live in today is messed up enough. I'm sure tired of the negativity that surrounds us all. These are some of the finest and most humble musicians on the planet. Long live Toto!
I hear that and i totally know where your coming from, im 65 yrs young and love all good classic rock from the sixties all the way up till now and these guys are so good that this music actually makes you feel glad to be alive to hear it and appreciate it! Im still rocking out and i live for music and i believe its kept me young and hope to keep rockin into my 90s and your words inspired me to write this ! Thanks snd keep rockin my friend!
under appreciated? this guys are gods in the industry since the 70s, as Toto SBS as session musicians, this guts have sold more millions of records as nobody in the universe what are toj talking about.
@@adannarvaez you would be surprised... they unfortunately cop a lot of hate. But those same people ragging on toto probably don't realise that they are listen to toto on other people's songs/albums that they do like.
I wont lie, I ain't a fan of Joe but hey maybe that's just me. Other than that
They are absolutely world class, no matter what format of toto you look at. I personally prefer the Jeff Porcaro days.
Anyone who loves good music, gotta follow these guys, brilliant musicians all!
Not under appreciated in Europe where people love them for decades
Today, June 25, is David Paich's birthday.
Happy birthday Master!
Yes happy birthday to you David love Toto and all they're songs. Love Toto!!

What happens to David Paich??? Only plays un this song???
@@alloromastodonte726 he’s been sick
it's hard to imagine a better band. (drummer from another planet). The whole set is killer. Backing vocals are flawless throughout. What a great way to spend an hour
If you liked TOTO in the 1980s, you will love this. It shocked me how good they are now.
They're pretty amazing... and always have been, but the post production process has come a long way too. No such thing as a bad vocal note anymore. :)
Why did it shock you Brian???? The musicians in the original band were all A listers on the studio musicians scene...nearly like the Wrecking Crew...and backing and performing with many legendary artists of the 70s and 80s!!
@@JK-js2td Except for Steve Lukather and David Paich
From original, just Lukather and a little vocal from Paitch. So, kind of an irrelevant comment cause these are mostly new far younger and seemingly equally accomplished players. Williams does a nice job on vocals despite the high notes sounding markedly different than original. Steve seems rejuvenated after all the legal wrangling beating he’s taken ...
@skiin00700 exactly
It is so cool to see David Paich up there.
Yes it it. He's not been well for a while. He's lost quite a bit of weight. I hope he's getting better.
Really happy to see him here. We ❤️you Paich! Wishing you healing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love it.
All the best, DP. Stay well
Watching the drummer just nail those off-beat highhats like it's nothing.. so good!!
I could here only the drumriff without the music for 4 minutes without getting bored of it
@@Nathan1900I feel like he shuffles too aggressively and I don’t sink into the pocket like I want. Maybe that’s just me.
@@NightmansSexyHands I hear you
It's a thrill to watch someone make all that work look so effortless.
Jeff brought the energy to the drums. There isn’t any in this version.
Steve Lukather is a national treasure
He is! Paich and Joe too.
Joseph's voice is fucking incredible.
So good to see David Paich too!
❤
As a drummer myself (who eventually learned to play Porcaro's version of the half-time shuffle), extreme kudos to the drummer here...
you aint kiddin bro, I don't even know how he's pullin that off even watching it . . . . . more than one way to skin a cat and his way is so damn interesting !
He is actually very good, I'm pleasantly surprised 😮

Yea, Sput is incredible! Check him out with Snark Puppy if you're not familiar with him.
You should check out some his Snarky Puppy stuff. Incredible.
David Paich and Steve Lukather, endless musicians!!!
Luke is like a wine 🍷 . The Greatest!
Exactly! He only gets better with age!
I don’t know what you eat daily Mr Joseph Williams…but your voice…in your age!!! Damn!! Salute you!!! Lukather Paich..OMG..i was lucky can catch your 2 shows in Indonesia back then..Mike Porcaro was still there (rest in peace 🙏🏻), also the super tight drummer Simon Phillips…but here Sput also nailed it…the laidback on Rosanna…dang…just so black! Hail to black drummers all over the world. Trully some inspirations nowadays for me myself. Keep up this TOTO formation..and yes, the vocals harmony were just all over the place, in my heart in my soul!!!!
Man I loved this song the first time I heard it back in 1982......I am 72 now and still a Toto fan !!!
My heart felt thanks Luke for keeping the dream alive. And happy birthday David love you man stay healthy and happy.
Bobby Kimball gave us some tough vocals. Joe is working it! These guys are killing it! Awesome!
Military veteran out of the Hospital. my favorite day with my favorite band Toto!!! 4th July weekend!! As a drummer, I love this version of the band!!!! Go guys Go!!!!!!! LOVE YOU!!!
Wow I can’t even! Wow! 😮 The only word that comes to mind is “PERFECTION!”
Saw them Wednesday night 2/23/22 in Philadelphia with Journey with my 18 & 15 year-old sons! THEY were singing along! In a word: AMAZING! Thanks for the memories! Sounded just like back in 1982!!!
I'm jealous 😫
Seeing them tonight with Journey in Cleveland Ohio!!
I’m jealous too
I am going to see them next friday in Amsterdam
I love Journey also
Stay healthy David👍👍
The Best Song Ever!
来年で56歳!この年になっても、この曲を聴くと心が弾みます。TOTO永遠に!そしてありがとう🤩
Sputs grooving that purdie/bonham-shuffle like he’s possessed by the ghost of Porcaro
The half time Shuffle 💖 love Jeff Porcaro! We miss you and your brother Mike!
A wonderful song, nice to see you all!
Best wishes💖
And STEVE! :-)
Sure Jeff Porcaro would've appreciated Sput on this one... he nailed it.
AWESOME STEVE LUKATHER FROM LOVE JAPAN!
every single one, amazing musicians, but hats off to the drummer!
@Greg Elchert he stopped playing for snarky puppy long ago

David Paich!!! Welcome back...
I am concerned about David. I don't know him like that.
Looks not well :( His moves seems to be very slow. Best wishes to the legendary David Paich!!
Steve Lukather : the most underrated guitarist.
Steve Lukather...yeah!
Man…… that drummer has that hat shuffle on point… what a musician, and of course they’re all amazing!
You are so right
humm... well
I couldn’t disagree more. The drums are all over the place. So little feel and almost no pocket. Cool lineup of great talent, but this just didn’t work.
Between 2:07 and 2:09 the drummer lose the hi-hat.
Even the aliens are humans 😀
@@tightbiscuits Lets see you do the Porcaro shuffle then.
TOTO is my favorite Band
WE ALL LOVE YOU.
Thanks to be born!🥰
This lineup is unFREAKINGbelievable. Mind blowing. Those backing vocals are utter perfection!
yeah i think they are sweetened
@@Retroearthling No they are not. They did that on the Falling in Between tour with both Bobby Kimball and Greg Phillinganes not being able to sing the songs without autotune and Luke swore to never go back to that. Those young guys in the back doing harmonies are there because they can play like MF'er and sing just as well. On I Won't Hold You Back and Till the End you can hear all the different voices and they are crystal clear. None of them are tampered other than some room ofc. Toto doesn't do that. If you can't tell the difference from actual talent and a computer doing it for you, you should stay with Justin Biebers Anyone and not comment on things you'll never understand.
It's bad sound... and don't even even mention the drums
@@TheKZOShow it’s clearly been fixed up in post production. I love Toto but there’s no denying it
I love the musicianship and seeing the smile on the drummers face.I like how Steve interacts with the other band members when they have their solos
Sput is killing it on the drums. He's such a bad ass musician, and one hell of a keyboardist. Look up Ghost note and you'll hear him rocking the keys.
@Tom-Tom Tom going open handed like Philips
Snarky Puppy as well
And zildjan live. Where he plays keys too
And. Yeah. He usually plays close hands right? What a champ. Playing the most iconic grove of all time and decides to play it backwards. Haha.
@@mogglie Yeah, but he’s not the only one who’s played the groove like that. Simon Phillips played it open handed as well.
Luke is so great. And the pipes on Mr Williams
Incredible drummer!!! How easily he plays open and right ! Astonishing
Simon Phillips was the same, simply amazing
Sput is also in Snarky Puppy, fantastic jazz fusion band in case you haven't heard them!
Robert Sput Searight. One of my favorites. He’s also played with his own band Ghost Note and Snarky Puppy.
Fantastic drummer with Ghost Note & Snarky Puppy of course but... also a great keyboardist and arranger!
(In fact, he was at the keys in Snarky Puppy, before becoming the first drummer of the band!)
you guys are still great band. your fan from Philippines.
Amazing! Lukather, Paich and Williams!
very good BUT the same as Chicago when Cetera left
TOTO...the superprofessional group...it's like the vine....gettin' better ev'ry time
Legendary performance. One for the history books. It doesn't get any better than this. Stunning how on point the new members mesh with the original crew. A timeless masterpiece.
Sput's groove is fabulous!!
Warren is a magician!! He can play many instruments at such a very high level!
purée...les armonies vocales !!! YYYEEESSS
One of best songs ever!💯❤...love Steve Lukather!!!
Toto forever!
Mr. Paich; Bless your heart sir. Thank you for all the music over the years. ^^
One word ,,,,,WOW!!!!!
It never gets old. Steve, Joe, David thanks for your talent!
This was slammin' "All the Way"
Steve Lukather is still growing strong! Love the enthousiasme, but when i see the live in Montreux, Steve is the mvp ! Sput forgot the bell of the cymbal ! You guys are still hot like lava! Keep Rocking

Looking great David!!!!
Great to see David Paich on keys. Sput is excellent on drums and Joseph Williams' voice seems to get younger and younger. Backing vocals sound awesome. Luke brillant on vocals and guitar. Toto is brillant and authentic with this line-up.
Joe is a special talent.
Wow! This right here is Gold! Love the new line up. Thank you, Luke, David and Joe for keeping real music alive! Can’t wait to see ya back on the road❤️
Now she's gone but boys still are rocking, brilliant group...
You know, girls come and go... 😉
Imagine Luke, Joe and Dave making a new studio album with this amazing new lineup! Very fitting..... TOTO XV with the 15th incarnation of the band!
I would love to see that, but unfortunately due to Susan Porcaro-Goings wanting all the royalties, that’s not going to happen. Steve has said in an interviews that there’s not going to be another Toto album.
@nickavenoso78 yes, you're right, Luke did make it clear in a recent interview. I was just thinking about what Steve P (whom I know is longer in the band) said in another interview shortly after the 40 Trips tour wrapped up, that to continue recording, all they had to do was change the band name ever so slightly. Steve P said he personally hoped they would do so. I imagine they might be able to record a new album if it was under a slightly different name, such as New TOTO. Any thoughts?
@@soulsouljazz07 it's not Toto anymore... It's more like Steve Lukather and friends since Simon left the band...
Steve--PRICELESS!! this sounds really great!!
Steve Lukather, David Paich, and Joseph Williams please please stay health and alive
Yesss
Paich pretty unhealthy and probably won’t be back. :-/
I think I just heard the quintessential Toto, as it should always be; playing free, with heart and precision. You guys define professional 👍
Shout to all the people who didn't know Toto were this good.
I didn't know HOW good they were until I saw them around 2005. Blew me away!
Saw them in Verona this year and what a show it was. Legendary musicians at the top of their game playing legendary songs!
Lucky!!!
It. Never. Gets. Old!!! And once I hear Toto again it re-enters my bloodstream and I'm back in that period of my life where it (and I) still had that innocence and simplicity.
Absolutely amazing! Bring back the saxophone solos!
That guitar solo. Goosebumps everytime.
Yaassss! Steve is awesome 👌
Yes!!!!! That guitar solo is ALL FEELING!!!!!!!😮😮😊😊
LOVE YOU GUYS♥️!!
FOREVER TOTO🤩😍😍
They still have it after all these years .
Luke and Mister Fab. Good to see you guys back. See you soon.
I love this to no end!! Steve is my all time favorite guitar player… His book is so transparent and real. If I ever accidentally ran into him somewhere I would thank him for his inspiration …. Keep rockin Steve … dont quit till youre ready to… Peace ✌️
Same here. It doesn't surprise me that you are playing guitar as well. Most of all guitar players love Steve Lukather. His extremly clean and precise playing, accurate timings, the bendings, his jazzyness. And Steve always finds the perfect sound for a song, which is an underrated skill. His sounds are mindblowing, for example his sounds on the studio version of Jake To The Bone. I know Toto from the release of their debut on.
A friend of mine from Italy went to see Steve playing. At the end of the concert he went to drink something at a bar and guess who was there? Steve! He approached him and bought a beer. HE was very humble and talked as any other dude would have talked with another fellow guitar player in a bar. A second stranger came in and when he saw Steve, he wanted to buy a beer for him too. Steve answered "No thanks, my friend here got me one already." Of course my friend looked at the other one like "Hey he called me a friend." haha .Cool!
Steve's music man sounds incredible!
I’ve seen many versions of this classic by the band - both live and on video / UA-cam etc and I think this is possibly the best I’ve seen. Well done guys - superb!
The new line up is mind blowing can’t wait to see them live and take with me every one I know so they can witnesses pure greatness
Esto es maestría musical!

Una banda verdaderamente épica que definitivamente no se ha reconocido como tal, pero que sin duda lo demuestran en el escenario con su gran talento como músicos!!
TOTO UFF
Absolutamente!!!!!!
Love hearing real musicians, THANK YOU!
God bless TOTO!...thanks guys!!!
A performance like was that in 1991 won’t exist. Man, what band was!
Luke’s solo he wrote for the original album track is so short but so iconic. Sheer genius. ❤️
It doesn't matter how many people have been in Toto. The sound is still there.
So glad Steve Lukather is keeping the Toto sound going! I just saw Luke perform 4 nights ago with Ringo's All Star Band. Best concert I ever went to!! I was a modern and ballet dancer back in the 80's and Rosanna was one of my favorite songs to dance to. Trust me, I was dancing in my seat at the concert the other night! Love Toto forever! ❤
Best outro in rock music history. Great performance... 3 original members. I'll take it...
Only two. Joseph Williams was Toto's 3rd lead singer after Bobby Kimball and Fergie Frederiksen.
That solo !
Woww just wooowww amazing to see the greatest band of all time play this amazing song again!!! And what an ending awesome guys I love you.
