Drummer is nailing that Purdie Shuffle. These guys are so tight. The harmonies are killer! 🙌
Fire!
Drummer absolutely poppin' off on this track. Good lord.
After watching this cover,,you may understand why TOTO got the best album of the year; they also got a Grammy award (1982)
Not only fabulous singers but first class musicians 💜
Only a drummer can really appreciate how hard it is to make that groove flow right. It’s one of those drum parts where you can get 85% of the way there with some hard graft. But that last 15% - all the subtle nuances, the internal dynamics and the flow - ahh that’s where Jeff’s magic was. So what I’m basically saying is nice work Ben! 👏🤩👍
Absolutely 👌🏻👌🏻
AGREE !
ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=bernard+purdie+shuffle
He nailed that shuffle. Stayed completely in the pocket without wavering..never rushed leading into that bridge “meet you all the way 🎵” which is very common and easy to do with this song. Porcaro would’ve been proud.
Heard dat!
That drum opening is fire. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Listen to the rolling fills he does during the screen melting guitar solo atthe end. His Dad and Jordan were digging the h*lll out of his chops. Both Steve and Ben make percussion look easy - it's not.
i think he was a big Jeff fan killer!!
GREATEST COVER BAND IN THE HISTORY OF UA-cam! This song in particular highlights all the skills
Those decades 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's were truly the best IMO for great bands and music. Plus the 80's belonged to Australia, a secret we've kept too long. HSCC are just too good.
Wow! That was a masterclass of musicality! Salut to the vocalists and musicians! Shout out to Con! This is another masterpiece.
Beautifully said. Can’t improve on that comment.
@@ChrisHodges87 should say supporting musicians or people might think the writer is suggesting that vocalists are not musicians.
Jordan and Danny! What a power duo!
yes
There ought to be a way to hit “like” multiple times, like every time I listen to this.
This country club have No Idea who and what they/you are .... I am 80 this year an oldie from the uk ......... as we drop off the perch we need you guys..these are the record and archives of modern music from the 60s 70s 80s 90s forty years of the most magical influence in the music industry that ever existed ........you guys n girls are the saviour of forty years ...Please keep it up .. Cheers
as someone from a completely different generation (born 2007) its amazing to see these songs still mainstream, and its even more amazing to see that these re-recordings are reaching the ears of those who where alive when the originals where released.
Stay tuned to the music young man ...check out who has the best fun in a band look at drum covers .. "Sena drum cover " and Kolonica NicX get the ear phones on...@@ViralTrendLaughs187
I second all of that. Cheers from Sydney, AU.
For sure!!! I,m 72 and they are the best.
The drum shuffle introduction. Spot on. Vocals were amazing. Love the horns. Keyboard and guitar solo, I enjoyed them. Lots of fun during the recording. Great job everyone. Constantine on bass and the arrangement, the ending section was awesome. Thanks for sharing your talents with us all.
Constantine 🙏🙏
@@theHindleyStreetCountryClub Wh where are the ladies from your group and the trombone lady
@@theHindleyStreetCountryClubThis was a perfect cover! As far as my memory goes, you got every part spot-on! You guys rock! Can you do another KISS song? Also, do you guys ever plan to do any world tours?
HSCC brings THIRTEEN gifted musicians to bear on this Grammy winning Toto classic! The incredible Danny Lopresto handling the Steve Lukather baritone/2nd tenor part, and Jordon Lennon and Glenn Cunningham dealing with Bobby Kimball's 1st tenor (and 2nd soprano?) notes - WOW. Ben Todd on the Purdie/Rosanna shuffle (Jeff Porcaro would be proud); Mark and Gerald somehow finding the correct synth voices to cover those Minimoog/Yamaha/Hammond and Prophet sounds of the 80s. Daniel shreds! The HSCC Brass shines! Con slamming the bass... Thanks Con for a super arrangement and production. There is something magical about LIVE music performed by incredibly talented Adelaide artists.
cannot assess this performance with better accuracy. Being a drummer myself, Ben Todd indeed nails this very challenging cover of (honor to) Jeff Porcaro.
@@vmac65 It's an epic performance.
Check this band too. ua-cam.com/video/I1iN6pNbePc/v-deo.html
Together with the band Foxes and fossils and the Lexington lab band... I mean if these guys would do a Christmas special. The whole world would listen. I am quite sure.
Toto was one of the most technically accomplished bands there has ever been. The band is full of superb musicians. I think they would definitely approve of this cover..
A special props to the drummer nailing the shuffle and the guitarist nailing the solo at the end. Maybe the best and hardest Steve Lukather solo. Great stuff!
Looking at the analytics, 102 views, 38 likes in just two (2) minutes after being posted!! The HSCC certainly has a following worldwide. Another outstanding effort by this group that just keeps on keeping on!
This group is cutting edge
Y'all literally just killed one of the toughest songs ever! Beautifully done in all aspects...Just beautifully done! I love me some HSCC!
What an amazing cover. Drummer was totally on point. That's a hell of a hard groove to play and he didn't miss anything.
Incrivel
Fully agree. I've tried but I have to learn so much, very long way to go to reach this outstanding level.
They brought in another drummer capable of the Porcaro half time shuffle.
ua-cam.com/video/qswlkTX4oCw/v-deo.html
Not as difficult as is claimed. It's mythical status is overhyped. Most talented drummers can play it , no problem.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO tight! Love you guys! Timing is perfect! Everybody seems to be having a blast!
What fantastic singers. I am 70 and have seen so many of the bands in real, and i have to comment on the sound of these musicians, they need to be recognized for sure . What a pleasure for sure!
I am the hugest Toto fan, and have been a lover of their music for almost 4 decades. This, as we all know, is equally their most iconic song, and you need big cojones to do this one justice. Their are so many components of the song that can trip you up, from the synchronising of the keyboard/horn vamps, the guitar parts including that amazing solo, and the most iconic drum groove. Jeff set the bar astronomically high on this one. I only usually smile when I hear Toto do this song, but I smiled from ear to ear listening to this cover. There is so much to love about this version. Right off the bat, the simple intro right into that half time shuffle brings the largest smile. and from there on the hits just keep coming. The vocals are spot on and Jordan covering the Bobby Kimball higher register lines is perfect. But the special addition of Glenn's harmonies adds an extra dimension never previously heard, and it is bloody great!!
Daniel's guitar parts are spot on and the solo plays homage to Luke's original melody, but he adds enough individuality to make it his own. Very nice. And even better that he is using a 'Luke' Music Man guitar. Love it.
If i was to comment on every component of the arrangement, i would be here for hours. So sufficient to say, that IMHO, this is the best cover of this song ever, and this is the best cover by HSCC of any of their songs, and they have done some amazing covers.
Thank you Con and crew for your continued excellence and pure musical enjoyment!!!
Andre 🙏🙏
😁🤟🙏 Thankyou !
Nice.!
Spot on! Exactly the points I noticed! I’m a long time fan as well, of Toto. I wish they would cover “Girl Goodbye.” It has a killer drum track too!
Agree 💯 their best ever cover.
I can't get enough of this band! Such an exceptionally talented group, keeping all this wonderful music alive! Thank you to you all.😊❤❤❤❤
The HSCC band are now officially the best cover band that sound better than most of the original artists playing their own songs .👌 💛
Jesus! Danny, Jordan AND GLENN. So much vocal talent.
Minha dupla favorita. Parabéns!!!!!!!!
OMG, is this possibly the greatest cover of this song ever recorded?
❤
Sure is !!
@@Dc-xh8wj Could be
Have you ever heard the Lexington Lab Band's cover? It is at least equal. ua-cam.com/video/p9xx21Chhy8/v-deo.html
@@clarkpickett7329 Yes i have and its very good too
"Easily better" LOL
The other version would be the opening act for this one.
Everytime I hear you folks,it's like holy shit-nobody can be this good over and over again-but you surely are- thank you for this incredible music
I’m 100%sure these guys can write they’re own music but they’ve found a niche in the market to show their extreme talent that we all love, fabulous guys 👏
HSCC doing what they always do - taking it to the NEXT level!!!
This is what I love about HSCC - normally you could never hear this song properly without seeing the original artist themselves. But with HSCC you get that level of quality to fully appreciate the musicality of these incredible songs - live in concert! 🎉
Jeff Porcaro was one of the greatest drummers of all time, my particular favourite. The drums are on point without a doubt, HSCC are the very highest level of musicians.
Danny Lopresto has the voice - sexy, strong, soulful! He has such a young voice, he'll be singing forever! Thank you to the entire band. EXCELLENT
This musicianship and sound of the band is amazing. Being a drummer myself i have to give much respect to your drummer for the perfect execution of the shuffle. He is probably the second drummer i watched on UA-cam that plays this correctly. I have watched lots of drummers who can play this groove but hack away at it. The ghost notes, flow, and consistency are right on point. Great work!!
Ben Todd is world class. ✔ out his channel sometime. Amazing drummer.
Agreed. He didn't just nail the groove (and timing which can be hard to maintain), he nailed the subtle details that make it POP. Unbelievable talent.
Excelent! Jeff Porcaro will be proud!
That guitar at the end! WOW! You did Lukather justice! I could hardly believe how perfectly HSCC covered this iconic song. Keyboards are absolutely spot on! Horn section is tight and bright! All the while, the drums are like a continuous roll of perfection in the background. And the vocal trio is awesome! 40+ years and this song hasn't lost its magic. Gotta listen again and again and again!
Real melodies will stand the test of time. TOTO's best album came out in 1982 so they got a Grammy Award for the album of that year.
@@joeltrejoguerrero8700 Wasn't it wonderful back then to turn on the radio and hear music like that?!!! Toto has always been one of my favorites from that era....they were all such excellent musicians and song writers. If you haven't heard it, Steve Lukather's latest album is so good, I think you would like it 😊
Awesome drummer!!!
Wow
Amazing harmony and lead voices!
The Porcaro intro shuffle, the laser precision guitars, the metronomic percussion, the flawless keys, that pristine horn section and Con gluing it all together - and if you only had just one of Danny, Jordan or Glenn, it'd be a good day. But all three on the same track? Great work guys!
Drum grooves don't get named very often, but the "Rosanna shuffle" is about as iconic as it gets... High degree of difficulty with that hi-hat arm feeling like it's gonna drop off when the song's finished. Great job Ben, brilliantly perfomed.
Agree with the hi-hat but it's in combination with the ghost notes on the snare that does it for me You can really hear it on Jeff Porcaro's isolated track.
It's that full combination of hats, snare and kick that makes this groove so infectious
I could've sworn these guys are the original TOTO band! Awesome cover and they look like they're having a great time.
God knows I´m a fan .. but C´mon .. JORDAN is from another planet
I think Toto should seriously consider hiring him for any future tours.
Uff my favorite english teacher from medellin is listening this great covers Band.
But hey, Danny did a stellar job emulating Luke. He almost sounds like the man himself here.
Lopresto IS from another planet @@mikosoft
LOVE the solo at the end as well. Fantastic interpretation and improv on the guitar part.
You make this look easy, but of course it isn’t! Hats off to musicians who can negotiate the tricky timing and key changes with grace and musicality.
All I can say is bloody brilliant - absolutely spot on!😃
Let's give props to Jordan Lennon for the incredible recording job and Dave Ross for his mixing. What a masterpiece capture of the live sound !
How about props for Jordan Lennon on his vocals.
Sings better than the original recordings.
@@Utopia12341 It's an epic recording. For sure. I hope this band together with Foxes and Fossils and two other bands will do a worldwide broadcast during Christmas. I bet the whole world would tune in.
@@FransvandenBergeMuziekschuur Add Leonid and Friends into the mix and you got pretty good coverage of the '70s-'80s. Might need an America-like cover group for the early '70s acoustic folk-rock, as well as a harder-rock cover band, too.
@@thebordernow Foxes & Fossils.
Plus hats off to the drummer for pulling of that really tricky beat, and the guitar solo WOW!
I was always taught if your going to do something do it properly ....Well done gang FANTASTIC rendition of Rosanna
One of the best bands covering toto I've ever heard.thr drummer knocked it out of the park. Well done folks.!!!!!
Great rendition guys! That guitar is smoking!
Top Top Top Super voices, super sound, super arrangements, super musicians, super breaths, how wonderful ... 👋👋👋 Bravo.
The drummer for Toto for many years, Simon Phillips, lives in my town. I’ve heard him perform many times and he’s amazing.
Wow! Musical people reviving Legendary Toto! Hats off!
Not a song that anyone can "play it safe" on - amazing performance from everyone!
I've never a cover of Rosanna this on point. Until now..
The drums!!! CONGRATS!!! Not easy and you nailed it.
Klasse !!! Es macht Spaß euch zuzuhören ! Great ! Weiter so ! Sonja from Germany
The drums, guitar, bass, brass, winds and vocals combine to bring this to an amazing song. Toto owes you all an apology for not doing as well with this song. It's a yes for me dawg.
Drummer's killing it.
Impressive...wow...thanks for sharing...😉
Great, absolutely Great!!!. Regards from London
Vocals Incredible and the harmonies!!!!
Absolutely brilliant! Great job!
Great job, guys!! You did this beautiful song justice. ❤❤❤
Perfect performance of the entire band ! ❤
Absolutely amazing. I closed my eyes on purpose to listen, and couldn’t tell a difference between you guys & Toto. Steve Lukather, Joe Williams, & David Paich , I think would love this version. Thanks for posting.
HSCC in the heavy heavy loaded configuration!!!! Extra marvelous!
Hot damn! You guys rocked that 🤘
Impressive vocals and great instrumentation.
Ben Todd is incredible. Hats off also to Dave Ross on the mix-you have become comfortable with your own “sound” and no longer have to worry about any comparisons to anyone else. Fantastic work.
Fantastic mate. Dave’s mixes are album quality. Not a jingle template that’s for sure. I’ve said this since day one. Thank you Doc 🙏
@@theHindleyStreetCountryClub Jingle. Ouch
I love that EVERYONE is in the credits, not just that they played such a great cover!
Silly good. Held together very nicely for such a large band.
Rackity rackity diggity diggity
Drums are IN THE POCKET.
I’m not a musician and you all remind me every Thursday. This is incredible
Can’t say there isn’t talent up on this stage. Every player played their part to perfection. And the vocals……….goodness gracious 😊😊😊😊

Ben on the drums, though... bloody hell; he's amazing. World clocks get set to his beat. Super respect to Ben and the rest of the crew.
Without a doubt, my favorite cover of this song! Kudos!
Now that's a proper cover of this great classic.
Well done HSCC.
Congratulations, you are great, I always follow you. Hugs from Brazil.
Fantastic cover guys! The drummer has that Jeff Porcaro shuffle down to a science. VERY impressive!
Absolutely flawless performance. Well done people. Flawless Porcaro shuffle. The drums are what makes this song and certainly this groove is the spine that everything else works off. Bravo to HSCC. Always doing the 80’s proud and representing for Gen X.
There isn’t enough likes to express the love of this band!
Good grief that was sooooooo tight... and accurate on the details!!! Fantastic job!!
DAMN!!! This was PERFECTION!!!! Best cover band I have ever heard!!! WOW!!!
Amazing well done guys HSCC smash it again may you never stop
I'm a HUUUUUUGE Toto fan and you guys nailed it... best Rosanna cover ever.... right in the pocket.
It makes you realize how epic the original is. There are so very few covers of the song. Not because it wasn't popular, because it was. The issue is how do you get close to the quality of toto.
Hell yea. Incredible guys. 💯 🤜👌
You couldn't get this band any tighter with a torque wrench. Had a big smile on my face the whole time!
Now THIS right here absolute justice!! Sooo tight, everyone absolutely ON POINT and the vocals geeez 👌👌👌👌👌👌 awesome
Toto is the group with the best studio experience but this is also awsome!
You guys raise the bar so fekin high.
That drumming.
Those vocals.
The brass.
Those damn keyboards!
Man, Toto songs are NO joke, they were all top session men, amazing,
The HSCC
just says "hold my beer....." With a sly grin, and proceeds to kill yet another phenomenal cover.....
... Im serious, Toto = Level of difficulty on scale of 1 to 10 , = 20 !!!!
Joy. That's what is on display right here folks. Take note of the facial expressions of everyone in this band. They are in a world of their own and know each are playing a most spectacular piece in a grand orchestra. We are so fortunate to get a glimpse into their world. Every muscian had an A game take and we got a gift with this performance.
HSCC... THE GOAT COVER BAND. LOVE U GUYS FM PH.
Vocals were dope…you guys never disappoint!
HSCC. You are great band...
Great job all around. Brass sounds really good too, boys. \m/
Where on earth did HSCC dig out all these talents??
That one handed 32nd note shuffle is legend. Really good job drummer!
Tremendo
Wondeful!
I keep coming back to this! I wonder what toto think of it? I swear they must be thinking, "oh my days".. I just love this version guys👍🏻
The guys from Toto heard it and shared it on their page. We were rightfully so humbled 😄🙏

Thanks for your reply ☺️. I'm a massive 80's fan as I grew up in the 70's/80's and it's great to be able to hear you guys covering it without messing around with the songs in a way that ruins the memories. I wish you all success in the future. It would be nice to see you live but I guess you don't get to the UK much?
Again, many thanks;

YO! SERIOUSLY!?! Y'all have put on some amazing performances, but this might be my new favorite! Drums, brass, vocals, and those guitar solos... mind blown! Well done HSCC!!!
