@@ragerelease613 for me is the problem to fit the Bo Didley kick in smoothly. We drummer have it easy as long it doesn't come to get 4 limps syncopated. Or even Latin stuff with slight variation in sixteens notes. Or Indien grooves. I guess those Drummers the can master and combine those Styles to help a Song are happy People.

Good, but miles behind Montreux ‘91. Jeff and Mike Porcaro made that performance epic! Jeff, sitting there playing the masterful Rosanna Shuffle, whilst having a smoke! Music history that performance.

This is what you call a CONCERT no handphone and all are listening and enjoying to the good music. Thats why song of the 80s are good.
MASTER PIECE
This band has probably the most impressive sound-configuration of any live-bands that I have ever heard/watched. The production of the stage sound focuses on QUALITY rather than quantity/loudness. And it's NOT only for a certain part of the audience .. but for ALL the arena. Trust me .. this is what it sounds for the audience . it is NOT amplified/cleaned/filtered in any way. Simon Philips on the drums is a magician .. and with Joseph Williams on the microphone ... Toto has it all.
Toto are pretty loud tho. I have seen them multiple times, if the venue has sub-optimal sound, their sound suffers. One of the few bands I had to use earplugs once on an open air. Musically they are still absolute session musicians (just to make clear I'm not trying to take anything away from them!). And one time I've seen them in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart couple of years ago, a rather small but modern venue, the sound was really, really good. I still remember Steve's guitar work on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, it was crystal clear.

@@catchyname58 yeah ofcourse. Greg is supurb. He can play whith his eyes closed. And he has sense of humor too. Unbelievable how he runs on the stage, and is just in time to play flawless. And he can sing too so luckather can let his voice rest:))..If u got a band who sounds equal to albums or even better, its ToTo. Period. (Simon;..come back please)...No one can/could replace him. Period.

there is a difference between making noise and taking out a musical sound, this band in particular this incredible drummer is an example of perfect sound.
Simon is probebly one of the best drummers around, no one playes it better than he does. Briljant.

I've seen Nathan East in so many performances. He's always with the legends. What a beast.
And that is how you make yourself immortal. „Rosanna“ will still be listened to after we all are long gone. Needless to say, TOTO consisted of extraordinary musicians only, but with this song in particular in my opinion Jeff Porcaro raised himself a monument.

A musical masterclass by Toto....live or recorded, these guys just nail it every time and always have....a song for vocals and a song for instrumental solos makes Rosanna an all time great in any genre, this performance brings smile to my face !!😀
