Don't get me wrong guys. It doesn't sound bad. From my experience as a sound engineer (a while back) I just felt like there is room for improvenent. Every time I watch and listen to the Miller session band perform an 'Ultimate' set I am simply amazed. The playing is so professional, and it starts with the ability to break out the original band's songs into discrete parts, choosing who will play, sing, or percuss the various elements, then engineer the mix, and lest we forget this is an audio-visual medium, the camera operators and their mixer must be an integral part of the effects. These guys could take a few of their Ultimate sets on the road and wow crowds anywhere. There are good and great bands, but to reverse mix and play already-great music performed originally by other real pros is the epitome of professional music making. What Grammy category fits them? Any? They deserve recognition, that's for sure.
I love the way your drummer plays those ghost notes, they add some much flavour to the performance. Congratulations on the mix to let them be audible instead of burying them to the ground like so many others mixers do, ruining the drummer´s job.

Thoroughly enjoyed this medley! Singer - astounding clarity and power, Guitarist - virtuoso in every sense, right there with the likes of Petrucci and Guthrie Govan, Drummer - on par with the Manginis and Portnoys of the world, Keyboardist - knows all his 88 keys X 8, Bassist, great tone and brilliant vocal delivery on Africa, all backing vocals are spot on perfect, flawlessly engineered! Toto has always been an amazing collection of some of the most mind-blowing musicians, vocalists and songwriters ever assembled in a single room at the same time. These musicians do Toto's music so much justice in this video while somehow sounding like a young and hungry Dream Theater, yet putting their own signature mark upon a great medley! - New Subscriber and very glad to have stumbled upon this. Great work gentlemen!
* Seriously great tribute - these guys take a back seat to no-one ! Incredibly musical - they allow the music to breathe when its called for and the end result is a wonderfully lyrical and powerful performance - bravo !
Man, I've past the last week only watching this. I'm a big fan of ToTo, Jeff Porcato is one of my favorite drummers and it's so satisfying see you guys playing all those songs... Congrats! And thank you foi this amazing video!
The Toto drummer Jeff, has played on about 100 records. The one I know of is , David Gilmore"s About Face. Check out the songs "Cruise", Murder, to hear some sweet beats. I think his Brother played bass on some or all of that record too.
Normally I can't stand covers, either the band is not good or they try to make an exact copy and it just doesn't fly. Very impressive gents, I'd pay to see a show of this quality.
I've watched/listened to this at least 100 times. Martin is always great, but there is something about this medley. He was just on fire. Every little lick really fits these songs perfectly. I like it better than the original. Matthias' singing is incredible also.

Wow, holy crap. I started listening and I couldn't stop. You all killed it. Each one of you intrigued me in your own way. The guitar player, man, you got some serious chops. The drummer, right in the pocket. You were an absolute pleasure to listen to.
What would Toto sound like with astoundingly skilled musicians? This. Take the drums up to drive the song, take the guitars and make them burst the song, and fit the bass exactly in the pocket, and you push the keys out of the way a bit, but then they pounce out in the solos just so. This is a brilliant interpretation. So glad this drifted across my feed, I'll need to catch up on what I've been missing.
Just FIY, Toto are amazing musicians, go see them live if you wanna see Luckater do some sick solos or watch live play. PS: the Procaro shuffle at the drum is done well but does not groove as well as it should, however it is very hard to get it right even just doing it. Although that they are the best cover I heard of them, Toto created those songs...so all the part that they are just playing. They have not created a thing there

When I'm sitting in my chair and imagine the best sounding Band in the World, Martin Miller comes... "hold my beer"
every metal head would like Toto if they gave them a chance, it’s just a fact of life.
Most of us know and appreciate very well Toto and now these guys!
I'm a metal head and i love toto.
I am is a metal bassist dreaming to make Toto, Queen, Pink Floyd covers, but my band members are not taking serious such suggestions.
I know TOTO for the classic pop hits, but this made me realize how metal they are haha
drake. really sucks. so do all the rappers. juice werld sucks. he copied stings somh. go toto!$!$!$!
Maaaan I miss "Hold The Line" in this setlist :(
Brutally hard to sing!
Its not really though, is it?
"Cruel" in this setlist
I was waiting for hold the line
I would think that "Falling in Between" or "Rosanna" would be more difficult than "Hold the Line"
Matthias is such a powerful vocalist!! The harmonies are amazing! Several times through this mix the hairs on my body stood on end!
Great I loved the Rosanna piano solo! Would have loved to see Hold the Line. You guys are amazing
Perfect... I can't think of another word. Excellent musicianship, simply perfect.
@@andrewsweet5186 exactly!
@@sasaadamovic5963 Have your heard the About Face album or the songs I mentioned?
I haven't ever heard something like this in my life from a tribute band. Simply FANTASTIC, EXQUISITE and with such a groove in here!
Normally I can't stand covers, either the band is not good or they try to make an exact copy and it just doesn't fly.
Very impressive gents, I'd pay to see a show of this quality.
Holy shit this is amazing! I hope this gets into the hands of the Toto guys somehow, they need to see this.
Nigel Nunes if I ever go to there show and get the VIP tickets I'll ask them to watch this at soundcheck they must see it
I found your channel in the pandemic. With your medleys u guys saved my year. It would be great if u play "Hold the line". Greetings from Argentina
hold the line exactly
Another great tribute. This band does justice to everything they play. Love it.
Guys, killed it. The best Toto tribute medley I’ve seen anywhere, hands down. Keep ‘em comin’!
Thank you, Martin, for covering Toto! One of my all-time favorite bands! Steve Lukather is my guitar hero. His talent is endless! Thanks again!!!
We need a Journey Medley, Stixx, Kansas, Boston. Yall are the best band I've ever heard...wow
yes sir it is!
If you like this, go listen to Parcels
I was thinking the same, mayhe we should donate more, so they can make more medley's?
BY FAR THE BEST TOTO COVER/MEDLEY THERE WILL EVER BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FLAWLESS PLAYING FROM EVERYONE, ARRANGEMENT & FLAWLESS PRODUCTION...
10/10 MAN!!!!!!
extremely nice sound of the drumkit, all the instruments and the sound of the room is excellent .... clean and pure sound
miles 178 that snare is niiiiiice and woody
Hi Nathan, its a DW thin aluminum snare 14x6,5 with a Remo coated ambassador head
Nico Nevermann oh yeah ummmm no wonder it’s so woody. Must be rimshots or maybe I’m actually a guitarists and not a drummer 😜
Only keys are too low
What's the name of your band?
Man this is too perfect to be true! Absolutely flawless arrangement, musicianship and performance. Splendid
I've watched/listened to this at least 100 times. Martin is always great, but there is something about this medley. He was just on fire. Every little lick really fits these songs perfectly. I like it better than the original. Matthias' singing is incredible also.
Same here, I keep coming back and getting goosebumbs every time.
1169 dislikes for this GREAT STUFF ? Shame on all dislikers !!! I LOVE IT ... besides i am a Genesis guy and a classic music pianist..... but this guys here...neary every tone and chord is sitting on the right place ! Greatings from Phuket, Thailand !!
Listening to this video for the multiple time! Love this session band so much! I would def travel to see live!!!!
Just amazing. Hat's off to all of you and especially the drummer. Precise, clean and tasteful.
Wow, holy crap. I started listening and I couldn't stop. You all killed it. Each one of you intrigued me in your own way. The guitar player, man, you got some serious chops. The drummer, right in the pocket. You were an absolute pleasure to listen to.
everything was perfect! love how everyone was playing their instrument! vocals and everything! salute to the sound engineer
Damn! This was tight and talented! TOTO is one of THE most underrated bands, thanks for giving it the respect it deserves.
They have not created a thing there
So Martin, when will you do dream theater medley? :)
Martin kinda sounds like LaBrie and plays like Petrucci , so.. yeah! Totally ! And even better : Zakk Wylde is on the keyboard :D
can't wait for that, i m an avid follower and i am seeing a lot requesting that DT medley.
Yes pleaaaaaase!
I agree, but early stuff. 1990s. Somehow, despite the amazing musicality and imagination, I found the later stuff hard to stick with. These guys are certainly up to it, though.
at first i thought it was a dream theater cover version of TOTO, seriously
I used to be a keyboard-player in a Swiss.ToTo Coverband. I mean, i had to learn 30 songs withing 3 months from scratch....... i mean, 30 chords each song and all those beat-tempi.changes 😍😍😍😍😍hardcore, but my best expirience with a band.......sadly it went offline........
good work! you know your stuff! TOTO is awesome but first Class shizzler to play and harder to find musicians on that level! great stuff, enjoined it alot!!!! keep it up
AND I TELL YOU: THE KEYBOARDER IS THE ONE WITH THE MOST STRESS 😂😂😂😂😂😂 because he has 3.4 parts at the same playing /going on !!!!!!! DAVID PAICH (this is why toto has 3 keyboarders on the stage) 😂😂😂😂😂
- thanks for sharing and greetings from 🤟🏻🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🤟🏻
listeners: theese arent the usual musicians on YT - this is AAA shizzler 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love that you guys played "I Will Remember". Such a great song!!
They sound like Dream Theater playing Toto.
I see what you mean. But with guest singers though...
well, there's like 10 or 15 years of Toto that really sound quite similar to Dream Theater.
I mean, James LaBrie is basically a guest singer for DT LOLOL. He sings like 3 songs per concert
Lol. Exactly my thought and comment for the first song. That drummer is a beast.
I had the same feeling
Toto Medley 2
Hold the line
Stop Loving you
Jake to the bone
I'll be over you
White sister
Lion
Toto Medley 3

Also, Georgy Porgy needs to be in one as well.
@@arvincharles Pamela and Georgy Porgy are both fantastic. There’s so many great songs to chose from. Like These Chains and Fahrenheit
and Hollyana?
Rosanna was so spot on, that hurts, you guys! My god! What a tribute!! The bass arrangements, the keyboards, the DRUMS, the voices and that guitar! Astonishing!
The vocals on "I Will Remember" are stellar. Way to go, Martin.
This is one of the best medleys I have ever found. Great job y'all.
I'm coming off of several weeks of bingeing on Toto and I have to say you guys are just KILLING it . You all sound great.
Now you gotta learn French and watch this: ua-cam.com/video/S44OtKn2rkw/v-deo.html
This is so damn good that kept listening in loop and always gives the same feeling: “I need more”.
music: F’in A
dynamic: F’in A
audio recording F’in A
kudos to all of you..
the recording, mixing, mastering engineer.. u da bomb!
It's Super High Level !!! One thing how they playing their instruments, but that Voices! Oh my god! Million thanks!!! Go ahead !!!
this is insanely good. from the drums, guitar solo, vocals & bass. everything sounds right.
The drummer is from another planet! Insane skills. The singer carrying the high range is insane! The bass player is insane! The keyboard player is insane! Okay...all of them are amazing!!!
