And as for his hair and the rest of his looks, my sister was also at that concert. She went shopping the next day too, but for the poster instead of the album. And while this song probably shows off his vocals better than any of his songs, to get a better feel for the music Sebastian actually preferred check out their song "Slave to the Grind." I don't remember what show it was on but about 15 years or so ago, it was voted the third best heavy metal song of all time.
I got into Skid Row after seeing the Youth Gone Wild video on MTV. All these years later Wasted Time is on the playlist of my mind. It's IMO their best song. It's from the heart and the honesty of it helps it to transcend the time period it came out of. It's just an insanely beautiful song any way you look at it.

Not sure how I let this song slip by in my youth as I was an avid Skid Row fan. I Loved the way your facial expressions matched your feelings as the song progressed. Keep up the good work.
First time I heard Sebastian sing I was 17, it was 1989 and I was blown away…speechless. Most amazing voice I ever heard and he was simply beautiful too.
I grew up on 80's hair metal. That's all there was for me for the longest time. Sebastian Bach WAS the voice of the 80's. Sure, there were a few bands that were bigger than Skid Row, but none had a bigger voice. You picked a great song as an intro to their music. Next, I suggest something more of a banger. Maybe try either Youth Gone Wild or Makin a Mess from their debut album or Slave to the Grind and Monkey Business from their second album.
Sebastian was one of the best . he also ventured into the Broadway format, preforming in the musical Jekyll and Hyde. Id suggest 18 and Life, Youth Gone Wild, and I Remember You should you decide to keep digging...cheers!🤘
Loved seeing your expressions and reactions to Sebastian's vocals. his song really brings his vocals out. Skid Row had some great songs. Other reactions you could by them would be I Remember You, 18 and Life and Youth Gone Wild.
Thank You for reacting to this song it's one of my favorite Skid Row songs I loved them growing up I read Steven Adlers book and it's amazing that he's not dead after all his drug use Sebastian's vocals were insane in his younger years I don't think he can reach this kind of level today there were only a handful of singers that could reach this range Rob Halford from Judas Priest and Geoff Tate from Queensryche and the singer from Steelheart you have to listen to there song She's Gone it's one of the greatest ballads that was ever put out and he has amazing range in the song
Always cracks me up to see these “reactions” from “vocalists” that no one has ever of or will ever hear of. Honey… this guy has made MILLIONS…….he should be critiquing you
35 years ago. No autotune just talent. One of THE best singers of the 80's. It was personal about his friend Steven Adler, Guns n Roses drummer, and his drug addiction
I was around to see Skidrow perform live a few times during their peak in the late 80’s early 90’s. I then saw them years later with different singers, and it was so glaring how incredible Bach’s voice was compared to the others. A supreme metal voice, a great stage presence, and yes incredible hair! I really wish he could have worked it out with the other guys in the band, as none of the parties were as good or successful without each other.
I watched a young Bach live no auto tune of course. Insane range. Great power. Those notes and strains…when in early thirties I watched again and his vocals had deteriorated. Keep in mind I saw him ten years apart and I loved his vocals. Great guy too. I hated seeing what happened to the vocals.
Its about Steven Adler of Guns N Roses they were best friends , and Steven lost the plot on drugs , Skid Row the band didnt want to release this song but Sab put his foot down and wanted it done ! And what a real song !
Sebastian Bach had a hell of a set of pipes, as well as some of the best hair in 80's hair metal lol. Skid Row has some real bangers in their catalogue "18 and life", "I Remember You", "Youth Gone Wild" and "Quicksand Jesus" are some of their best known songs. If you haven't yet you need to check out Warrant, "Uncle Tom's Cabin" would be a good starter.
Don't know if anyone mentioned this or not, but "The Horse" (that stampedes and rages) is a reference to the slang term for heroin. As many people have found out, you start riding the horse, it soon takes over and leads you down a dark path. My father died from a heroin overdose at the age of 28. I was barely a year old at the time. My mother (also an addict) gave up custody of me to his mother. I didn't learn of all this until my early 20s, as she kept that hidden. Maybe she figured I'd endured enough childhood trauma, and didn't need to learn that. I've sworn to never take heroin, and here I am.... I'm 57 years old, and have lived more than twice the time my father did. Hell, I'm older now than my mother was when she died. I don't think she even made it to 50, and if she did, it was just barely. I will also add that I am physically disabled at this point, and I take opioids for pain. My spine is completely shot, my joints are messed up, and I have nerve problems. But my doctor keeps me on lower dosages, and my wife is there to make sure I don't do anything stupid. I have a good support system in place. But it could have gone very different in my younger years, if anything had happened differently.
Babe's, HIS HAIR HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE MUSIC! Sebastian Bach is one of the archetypes of HAIR METAL lead singers. Not only one of the most beatiful men ever, but an amazingly talented and gifted sungers. Im so glad to see hes being recognized by young people now. His voice us stil my fav, 30+ years later. ❤
I LOVE when I see people react to things I already knew :) Sebastian Bach is in the top 5 rock singers of all time in my book. Robert Plant, Geoff Tate, Freddy Mercury, Klaus Meine, Sebastian Bach, Don Dokken.
I was a teenager dreaming big and all we wanted was a front man that could do Bas. I know live he isnt as good as in studio, but those studio tracks are legendary. Hes got a place on the podium next to Freddy Mercury. This song is so moving. This is why auto-tune just doesnt cut it for us GenX.
Every Skid Row reaction video I watch I always have to throw props to my man Scotti Hill on lead guitar. His solos can tear your face off and your heart out at the same time. He's such a massively underrated guitarist and these Skid Row mega-ballads wouldn't be as good without his contributions.

Back in days everyone had there own unique voices also check out Kix , Tesla , Britney Fox , Cinderella and journey for vocals
While today most singers use autotune & their blind fans said what a talented singer😂.
Uh no thanks..all posers
a lot of great vocal in 80as-90as era. Super band hair metal that make you fantastic specially during thier concert. Awesome memories at that time❤❤❤
Sebastian was one of the best . he also ventured into the Broadway format, preforming in the musical Jekyll and Hyde. Id suggest 18 and Life, Youth Gone Wild, and I Remember You should you decide to keep digging...cheers!🤘
The first four songs on “Slave to the grind” is as strong an opening to an album as any I can think of, and this song is a great way to end.
Excellent reaction he is one of the best vocalist in the business.❤️😎🇺🇸
He has his own style and he developed that with the power that he had the frustration and angst
His voice is amazing, the changes, i love it
I loved his vocals from back in the day.
Its about Steven Adler of Guns N Roses they were best friends , and Steven lost the plot on drugs , Skid Row the band didnt want to release this song but Sab put his foot down and wanted it done ! And what a real song !
I love watching first reactions to this song and the moment the person watching feels it in their soul❤
I really appreciate the youth of today understanding where the real talent was and forever will be. :)
Baz was only 22 when he sang this. I saw them in 1990. Yeah,I’m 50. 😂
This ....frigging song....... makes me cry.... every .... single .... time .... I ... lis....ten... to .... it.
One of my favorite Skid Row songs.
Great freakin band with one of the best vocalists of all time. Damn I miss great music like this
Babe's, HIS HAIR HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE MUSIC!
I just LOVE seeing people react to the 80's vocalists,..
It Never gets OLD : )
Every Skid Row reaction video I watch I always have to throw props to my man Scotti Hill on lead guitar.
His solos can tear your face off and your heart out at the same time. He's such a massively underrated guitarist and these Skid Row mega-ballads wouldn't be as good without his contributions.
Your reaction was priceless! A couple of other songs from that era I can recommend are “House of Pain” by Faster Pussycat and “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Kix. You’ve got so much cool music to explore from this time!
Great video!
It's really funny to see your expressions. Great Sebastian Bach!
The hand offs from his vocals to guitar solos are insane!!
You GOT to do , " I Remember You " ! , If you loved this one , it's going to just FLOOR you !
He's like a lion in a human's body. And he's a certified badass, every lyric is true to life he might as well be a gangster rapper, this is 100% legit
Gotta check them out on one of their much heavier songs. "Youth Gone Wild," "Slave to the Grind," or "Monkey Business" would all be great choices.
Honestly, YGW is not even that heavy. I think wasted time is much heavier, both instrumentally and thematically.
@@dclegends8689right. Everything in Slave to the Grind makes ygw seem like bubble gum music
Dammit , every time. Tha boy can really belt it out. Quicksand Jesus next. Monkey Business is cool as well.
In a nutshell........ This is the shit we had back in the 80s
it's the sort of music that when you hear it , it can literally make you cry and you don't know why .
i'ts sad that we'll never have a time like that again
Actually Wasted Time as well as the album Slave to the Grind came out in 1991....not in the 80s.
Once.... long ago. There was an actress(Christina Applegate)going to an event with an actor(Brad Pitt) she left bread at the party and went home with Sabastian. Long live rock and roll. \m/,
The crazy part most singers in the metal genera their voices start to die out when they are in their 50s and his pipes are still amazing.
Make amends, is what you were looking for. Great reaction as always.
Now imagine growing up with this music. I was 20 when this album was released. We had it good musically.
I saw Skid Row back in 92"
Fuckin Legends !
Great song reaction and you're sooooo right about his hair too!! 👌👍💯
love your reaction, i saw skid row at donington monsters 1992 bach was awesome
