This is about Steven Adler former drummer of GNR. His heroin addiction that got him fired the band. Steven isnt dead. But he lost friendships More songs "Youth Gone Wild" "18 & life" "I Remember You" Sebastian Bach is the lead vocalist
and "Monkey Business" & "Quicksand Jesus"
Adler the loser junkie who threw everything away
@@greaper1976 Yes, I like that you added Monkey Business to the mix. Any of these would be great for the next reaction. I would say if they want a banger next, than the list narrows to Youth Gone Wild or Monkey Business.
And “In A Darkened Room” & “Slave To The Grind”
To add Sebastion Bach is the lead vocalist in this song and was the lead singer for the band from June 1987 - December 1996, during the band's most commercially successful period. He was followed by Jonny Solinger who was with band for 15 years, but tragically died of liver disease more recently. The band most recently made headlines by announcing that Halestorm lead vocalist Lzzy Hale would be filling in for some already scheduled concert dates, as their current vocalist was forced to take a hiatus for health reasons. These shows were greeted with great fanfare and praise. Lzzy has since been quoted as saying that there could be more dates to come in the future if she was needed. P.S. for Samantha, if you are familiar with tv series Gilmore Girls, you might recognize a heavier set Sebastian Bach, as Gil, Lane's older bandmate (seasons 4-7). He has acted on Broadway and has made appearances in film and television such as Trailer Park Boys, The Masked Singer and Gilmore Girls.
"18 & Life" -- "I remember you" --- "Monkey Business" --- "Youth Gone Wild" --- "Quicksand Jesus" --- "In a Darkened Room" --- & "Slave to the Grind" --- (Late EDIT!) IF you're truly daring... "Get The F**k Out" - it was on the "Slave To The Grind" Album on the "adult" uncensored version -- there were 2 versions of this album.... anyways... there's other songs, but this should get you going on your Skid Row journey. Btw, this was my first concert, they opened up for Bon Jovi when i was in the 7th grade. Great show by both bands, this album, "Slave To The Grind" just came out, their 2nd release. Enjoy!
All of these are great suggestions. If they want a banger next, I'd say Monkey Business or Youth Gone Wild are the best choices first.
Yes...Indeed!!!
Baz is literally screaming for his friend’s life (Steven Adler, ex-drummer of GNR). The line “You’ll see the sickly hands of time will write your final rhyme and end our memory” just gives me full body chills. This is one performance that almost always brings me to tears! Baz blew out his voice recording this song, but the emotion and commitment to crying out for his friends “horse” addiction is so genuine and raw. Thank God Steven is still with us and sober for many years now.
After Skid Row Sebastian Bach sang in musicals on Broadway...thats how good his voice is !!!
I saw him on Jekyll & Hyde.
@@kidpoker007 And it was AWESOME!!!
Skid Row had some really good power ballads in the late 80's to early 90's. Besides this one are: I Remember You, In a Darkened Room, 18 and Live and Quicksand Jesus. For harder songs by them - Youth Gone Wild, Monkey Business, Livin' on a Chain Gain, Rattleshake Snake, Get the F*ck Out, Sweet Little Sister.
These are great ideas! I'd love to see them do a banger next, maybe Youth Gone Wild or Monkey Business.
In his prime Sebastian Bach had one of the greatest voices ever. His range was ungodly
"Youth Gone Wild"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Youth Gone Wild was the music video that introduced me to Skid Row at 19 years of age. I was immediately hooked!
Sebastian Bach can make you feel his raw emotions..love this guy❤❤
Sebastian "Baz" Bach is Canadian, so y'all should be proud! He went to LA's Skidrow via Hollywood, after years singing in musicals on Broadway, NYC, like "Dr. Jekell & Mr. Hyde". Helluvan American, too!
Wasnt he born in the Bahamas?
@@kellymckinney9050 Well, surely, & it's known as South Canada for a reason. Well, the French/Canookian part anyways. 🍁🤌 (I'm jus' joshin';)
@@Billy-zv6gv He is from my hometown of Peterborough ON Canada but was born in the Bahamas.
Well, all Gods bless all Canadians, with whatever other countries y'all born in. International Maple Leaves! 🍁 x 🌎🌍🌏 = ✌️😜👍
she said..."damn" well that describes Bach's voice early in his career...just insane.
Light!
Such passion in his voice!
Emotional delivery!
Sebastian played a 'tongue in cheek' version of himself as a small town starving artist in the "Gilmore Girls' tv show. I thought it quite funny.
Sebastian Bach from Peterborough Ontario Canada!!!
"18 and Life"
"I Remember You"
"Youth Gone Wild"
These are their three biggest hits.
They jammed and all members are kick ass musicians. I wish Sebastian was still with them.
The horse imagery in the video is a reference to heroin use.
Skid row classic that shows his vocals in a different way but as effective….”I remember you”
One of the best voices and front men in rock! Seen Sebastian 6 times as a solo act and he never disappointed! 100% energy start to finish.
Sebastian is the G.O.A.T
He wrote this song about Steven Adler. Ex drummer for GUNS N ROSES. Steven is alive and well today.
the song was also written by Rachel Bolan and Dave Sabo. Great music, emotional and heartbreaking
@@AnnaluisaSocher Yes. Forgot to mention that.
@@tracyswain7942 no problem :)
See I think that’s so kool. You both have insight into this song. One kool guy just happened to add to it, the other kool guy just said “ thanks forgot to add that”. That’s how you have a respectful conversation. So, to the both of you, your in my kool book!
@chrisstone5868 yeah, it's hard to find modesty, and consideration, especially in any comment section! 👏 👏! The only thing not mentioned was the 🐎 horse, is a herion reference!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋 🤠
Sebastian Bach has such a beautiful range. Love that guy. For some trivia, he was also on the series Gilmore Girls. "18 and Life" is a great song if you wanted to check something else out.
Jamberry has a point, "I Remember You" even decades later is still considered one if not the best love ballad songs of the entire 80s - now
Sebastian Bach lead singer of Skid Row is from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
The singer, Sebastian Bach, has such incredible vocals and range that he starred in 2 Broadway musicals! He's that good. He's still going, too, singing and kicking ass.
His latest stuff kicks ass.
@@JB-xh5mc That's awesome! I saw he released some new stuff but haven't heard it yet. I'll make the effort now. He sang at the Taylor Hawkin's memorial concert in L.A. last year and performed at a charity w/Taylor's son, Shane Hawkins, on drums recently. Love to see him still in the mix with all the old school rockers we love.
@@jenniferfoster1692 Yes he just released an album called Child within the Man. And it rocks. You can find it on his personal UA-cam page.
I remember you and 18 and life are two of their most popular.
Wasted time is the most emotional song imo.
This song comes from real pain for sure. Thankfully the person he is singing to came through it.
Sebastian Bach's voice has held up nicely with time, he's nearly 60 now and he has a couple of new songs out (2024) that are pretty good, like 'Hold on to the Dream'.
a big finger up 👍 in honor of the great and incomparable Sir Sebastian Bach. 🔥🤟
This song was about Sebastian's buddy Steven Adler of GnR and his battle w addiction (horse stampedes and rages = heroin) Steven is luckily still w us although I think he did have a stroke ..... Baz's vocal prowess is front and center w this one, you guys should check out Quicksand Jesus and Darkened Room as well not to mention Monkey Business 🤘🤘🤘 Amazing singer and band - this album is so great !!
Thanks for the '80's "White Horse" heroin connecta': pre-'90's Black Tar heroin, being cut like hell and cheaper, but no longer the fuel for great musicians and singers.
Sebastian will always be my #1. Have seen him more than anyone else. Just saw him 2 weekends ago. He is such a music fan, and it shows in his concerts.
Sebastian laid his vocals down in one take he said in a interview he did that so he could capture his true emotions.
One session maybe, but not one take. Maybe the main verses and chorus and some of the outro chorus parts. There's obvious overdubbing and layering. @9:18 when he belts "left behind" the "behind" carries over in the background as he starts singing over it. Not that it matters, amazing performance regardless.
I'm here for the Skid Row journey. Start with YOUTH GONE WILD next. It was there big breakout hit that dominated MTV
Youth Gone Wild was the music video that introduced me to Skid Row at 19 years of age. I was immediately hooked!
Sebastian Bach, the lead singer, also starred in Broadway as the Beast in Beauty and the Beast
Yes, and he starred in Jekyll & Hyde and Jesus Christ Superstar! So talented.
"18 and Life" & 'I Remember, You" are a couple of other great songs by Skid Row. Always loved Bach's vocals ❤
As another commenter already mentioned, the songs "Youth Gone Wild", "18 & life", and "I Remember You" are MUST plays from Skid Row. Nice job guys🎙
Sebastian Bach is still touring, he just came to San Diego & he was amazing! Great reaction ❤
🎶 Monkey Business 🎶 Skid Row
100% personal - about his friend (GnR drummer) Stephen Adler who very, very nearly lost his life to addiction.
Oh yes, Bach was a monster singer
So many start off with “ 18 and life”, or “ I remember you”. So starting off with this is gonna blow your mind!! But to really know “ Skid Row”, you just have to start with very first Album. So many awesome songs. “ Youth Gone Wild”, A Piece Of Me”, “18 and life” etc.. WHOLE ALBUM! Pic a song any song! Love ya guys/ladies!!
Youth Gone Wild please!
No one can sing this song with good like him
Great reaction !! Sebastian is from your neck of the woods Canada. He is one of the best rock/metal vocalist of all time. Cheers from Texas !!
I was not familiar with them either, but thanks to you I have a whole lot of great music to catch up on
Youth Gone Wild was the music video that introduced me to Skid Row at 19 years of age. I was immediately hooked!
I saw then live.in 91.awesome concert with sound garden as the opening act.skid row was everything with sebastian bach..not much without him imo.but yet they say there will never be a reunion
Baz is such an underrated vocalist . He's amazing! Check out the "Skid Row"catalog. They have so many great songs . Underrated band too
Many comments mention the song is about Steven Adler, who was fired from G-n-R because of his addiction. While Adler is alive, he suffered a stroke, OD'd numerous times, and basically let drugs take over his life. If you see Adler today, he has partial face paralysis due to his stroke. He still plays with G-n-R cover band(they actually sound really good), called Adlers Appetite. He claims to have been sober now for some years, but he's made those claims numerous times only to fall off the wagon again.
Another great power balled from Skid Row is I Remember You. Scotty Hill's solo in that song is fantastic. It's one of my favorites.
This lead singer is Sebastian Bach his friend Steven Adler former GNR drummer battles heroin addiction and he details what type of struggle his friend went through. Seen Skid Row many times live
More Skid Row!!
Great ballads:
I Remember You
18 And Life
Great Rockers:
Monkey Business
Youth Gone Wild
I'd love them to do one of the rockers next, either Youth Gone Wild or Monkey Business. They are both great!
Ah, Sebastian Bach. I was fully in love with both him and Nuno Bettencourt (from Extreme) as a teen in the 90s. I still love a pretty boy 😂
You can pretty much p-lay anything from their first album, . "Sweet Little Sister" "Piece of Me" "18 and Life" "Youth Gone Wild""I Remember You".... then off their other album Quicksand Jesus and Monkey Business
Funny you mention it lyrically as being a slave to something. The album name is "Slave to the Grind"
Monkey Business off the same album is a banger!
18 and life is the best place to start
FINALLY!! Been asking for Skid Row since you started your channel. Thank you!
Thankfully Steve Adler is still alive and able to get off H. Youth Gone Wild, Monkey Business and 18 and Life are good starters for a heavier rock. I Remember You is their ballot. Sebastian Bachs vocals are INSANE! The bands instrumentals are CRAZY! So glad you finally reacted to this! 😊
Youth Gone Wild was the music video that introduced me to Skid Row at 19 years of age. I was immediately hooked!
Sebastian Bach was a phenomenal singer! He even did a broadway play ....... they were great live too! Saw them open for Bon Jovi.
The next one it is a must, 18 and life. Just another great performance of Sebastian Bach
Welcome to the world of Skid Row!! Buckle up Buttercup and get ready for a great ride!! You guys gotta do a reaction on official videos "I remember you " , "18 and Life" and "Youth Gone Wild "..back in the 80's into early 90's Skid Row was one of many great bands!! Along with Guns and Roses, Poison, Metallica and more!!
Heroin is not a party drug. It’s an escape from inner pain, and very solitary. Unlike cocaine, which is the rock-n-roll party drug. Both are difficult trains to get off of.
the words wee god but the way they did them is what i like. The way they did the harmony in shadow was nice.
Skid Row....these are MUSTS!
I Remember You
Monkey Business
Youth Gone Wild
18 and Life
Youth Gone Wild was the music video that introduced me to Skid Row at 19 years of age. I was immediately hooked!
@@kurtpflegl30 same here...I was 19 years old too. If you didn't grow up a teen in the 80's you have no clue what you missed
@@therealmciver3761 That's cool!
That last big inhalation sounds like a weapon being loaded.
I literally sent this as my next request yesterday.😅 I had another choice as well in case it was in your list already. Amazing vocals in this song. Excellent choice. Keep growing the channel.
Dude Skid Row is one of the greatest!! I remember you, youth gone wild, 18 & life, monkey business are just a few you HAVE TO LISTEN TO
I got so excited for you, I'm posting before even watching the video! lol :) Their song "I remember you" is what made me LOVE music. I heard it & literally fell in love with music as a kid. I went & started learning to play guitar right away & Baz's vocals made me want to be able to sing like that.
Band is American but Sébastien Bach is from my town Peterborough Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
To check from Skid Row:
18 and life
Midnight/Tornado
Sweet Little Sister
Quicksand Jesus
Youth Gone Wild (rock anthem)
Here I am
I remember you
Slave to the Grind
Rattlesnake Shake
Thanks for posting this. Great reaction guys. The singer Sebastian Bach is from Ontario Canada. His brother was a goalie on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Sebastian is from Peterborough, Ontario
I actually don’t remember this song, but it’s a really good place to start, I think. You’ll enjoy the more popular hits so much more now.❤
back in days
every metalhead was in envy with this mdfk..
This is a good place to start. It's gives you the softer feel of "I Remember You," as well as the hard rock of "Slave To The Grind" and "Youth Gone Wild." The horse in the video stands for the heroin his friend was addicted to.
“Wasted time” has a double meaning-throwing time away and as in getting high off heroin (horse), I think. It’s a clever play on words. The song and vocals are AMAZING!
This is a banger for sure! Skid Row had that it factor. Keep it Metal forever 🤘
Sebastian Bach is in the top of the top tier male vocals in rock. May I suggest I Remember You. You will get a better idea of his vocals.
18 and Life!
Quick sand Jesus 8s a great song their whole 2nd album is great Slave To The Grind.
Sebastian Bach. I absolutely love him. even now. He's not as pretty but he's still a rocker through and through. The dead give away is his mention of horse stampedes and rages. Horse being a nickname for the big H that his friend Stephen Adler was addicted to. Adler is still alive. He finally kicked it.
18 and life please 🙏 His vocals are exceptional.❤ Peace out guys ✌️ ☮️
18 And Life is a good one, but all their songs are good.
Should have started with any song off the debut album, but the second album is good as well, which this is from. It’s also a heavier sound than the first.
Youth Gone Wild was the music video that introduced me to Skid Row at 19 years of age. I was immediately hooked!
Their first and biggest hit was called "18 and Life " Definitely check that one out.
Having lost my cousin to fentanol lace heroin, this song always hits me hard.
Sebastian has range. Try Youth Gone Wild, 18 and Life, Monkey Business, I remember you, Slave to the Grind.
There's so Many killer songs/videos from Skid Row to check out. Check out all the ones that everyone keeps recommending.
I remember you.. 18 and life .. Bach sang on Broadway
Subscribed again... thanks guys! 🤘😎
I Remember You by Skid Row is awesome . But I thought you had already did it , but you say this is your 1st song by them
Welcome the incredible pipes of Sebastian Bach of Skid Row! Your reaction to his vocals is exactly how mine was as a teen in the late 80s/early 90s. Sebastian had the best vocals in Hard Rock imo and their songs had substance. Wasted Time was written about Steven Adler’s (former drummer of Guns n’ Roses) heroin addiction and was a personal plea by Sebastian to his friend who was battling that devastating drug. I had already bought and loved their debut album but when Wasted Time came out I rushed to go get their second album just to put that song on repeat. It soon became my favorite song of theirs for many reasons. Please also check out their songs 18 and Life, I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild, and Sweet Little Sister.
GOOD CHOICE!
I think you both would love the Brit band "Take That". Most popular song was "I Want You Back".
They have some great live clips from Wimbledon that will blow your mind he sounds so good live anyhow excellent reaction later.❤️😎🇺🇸
finally!!
I remember you. Youth gone wild 18 and life are there top songs
"I REMEMBER YOU" is a classic and truly shows Sabastions range check it out.
"Youth Gone Wild" (Original MTv Video) by Skid Row...
Great Start - - still room to go UP from here.
This is not where I would have suggested someone start with Skid Row but it would have been the next thing after you got your feet wet with 18 & Life and I Remember You.
Mudkicker by skid row is fairly chill 😀
A master vocal class! Please react to "Monkey Business", "Slave To The Grind", "Youth Gone Wild", "I Remember You", "18 And Life" and "Peace Of Me".
I would love it if they would do a banger like Monkey Business or Youth Gone Wild next.
Next should be Youth gone wild or 18 and Life 😊
He's a bad dude 😮
Well done! Love your vids... Try i remember you live from Wembly. He blows the place up vocally
Art is pain.
👍💯
