  • Karl's drunken EBay purchase, his dream 1970 Dodge Charger, returns from being dipped in acid at Enviro-Strip (GB) Ltd. In this episode Karl visits Enviro-Strip in Tamnworth, West Midlands, to see how his dream car is treated and also to get a jump on any more issues that might get exposed by the acid dipping process.
Matt Duncan from Enviro-Strip, talks us through the acid dipping process then Big John Castleman, the master restorer Karl has entrusted with his dream machine, evaluates what returns from Tamworth.
    It isn't all good news.

Karl I'm really enjoying your journey with the 70 Charger, I love those model cars the 68, 69, and 70. I hope to have the time and money to get one and restore it. Thanks for the videos of the build, so much to learn.

About time to see someone actual do this right instead of just media blasting.

Loving your story, made so much more enjoyable by the good camera work and audio, I can producing / production skills at work here. Great to see the progress on the car and that it's not something that can be done in a week as is so often portrayed on some car shows. Keep up the good work, I've subbed and will follow with interest. I'm 2 years into owning my dream car, 57 Chevy Belair 2 dr hardtop, so I know you pain, ambitions and drive.

GREAT VIDEO, in 1966 I had a 1955 Cadillac Coupe deVille, it was a one owner from an older lady, I painted it Purple pearl with Blue Metalflake top. Then 4 years latter I wanted to put it back to stock, I MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE!!! I had it sand blasted, and they Totally RUINED MY CAR !!!, they completely WARPED ALL the panel, my car was TOTALLY RUINED, so moral of the story, Don't SANDBLAST a car body unless you are very careful. Thanks William Orange county, Ca. Usa

Not too horrible! Mine was a lot worse and I sometimes though it would be never finished. But after 6 years it was worth it. Good luck!

i like using a steam cleaner to prep the body does way less damage way faster and way cheaper . acid dip also eats the metal this is y you see more damage treat the metal with rust mort the best thing i found for treating rust and a steam cleaner doesn't hurt the factory protective coat but will peel the paint right off on my 68 chevy pu i'm building so far i have 2200 in it and the drive train is dun with a stroked 454 heavy duty 400 turbo tunnel ram 12 bolt possi just need to paint the body even got air condition serpentine belt under the hood looks factory dun but i'm thinking on putting a 2 inch drop spindle with disc breaks got a set of center line wheels for free had to polish and clear coat them but now they look new also have rally wheels for it wood floor in the box got the chrome set for it for 115 bucks the oak wood i got for free . free tip motor homes have killer engines in them i got 2 with stroked 454 with heavy duty 400 turbo's 450 hp at 485 torque stock if ur lucky u can get a L S 6 454 in them and i been getting them for free with low miles the one in my truck has 6000 miles on it the motor home had a tree damage after pulling the engine and trans radiator and coolers i sold it for 2000 so if i count that i only have 200 in my truck plus i still have the rebuilt 327 that came with the truck and the 400 turbo sitting

I apologize, I aim to get up 1 video every 3 to 4 weeks. I'd rather put up better edited more crafted videos, the problem is they take so long to craft... This episode 13, is actually the 14th episode in the series - so I'm averaging about 1 video every 4 weeks...kinda.. as we launched at the end of Sept 2018 Please keep with us Engir!!!
