I'm an American who grew up with these cars and I never heard them referred a MK 2 We would say 2nd generation.

I did the same thing on Ebay with my dream car!! 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville!! Bidded and actually won it!!

My first Charger ( I've had 3, all 68's) was this color with white interior. All were big blocks the first was a 383 the other two 440's. They a getting real hard to find unless you want one already done. Affordable ones, I'm talking under $10,000, are pure junk. Sure do miss them cars. These, IMO, were the most beautiful cars of the muscle car era.

Do you know that charger wings are really dodge coronet wings. They are the same as dodge coronets. Super bird wings are dodge coronet too.

Have the same problem,but some have already put new skins on but did it wrong.

I've never liked Mopar until about 3yrs ago and I was driving my tow truck and a gentleman called for my services and he was talking about scrapping it, and when I got there it was a 69' Chrysler 300 2dr ht 440TNT and beautiful I asked him how much. He said 2000 dollars! I got it home and it was the rear-end that broke he just put a new rear-end in it. And the factory rear-end was in the trunk, I put it in and been in love since.

So rewarding to see another iconic musclecar saved from the scrap yard. And great to get a look at American Auto Finishers from the inside. I have a Firebird restoration in progress by JC from around the same time as your Charger, so it's reassuring to see the quality work and expertise displayed in this episode.

had quite a few of these era fury,newport ,polara and they went cheap back in the day ,loved the ride the hood view and those front bumpers could can open a dozen cars and still look acceptable enough for your drive to work the following morning
