My wife watches with me. She said…”I can’t believe he’s taking in another project. Poor Nick!” Nick, I love what you said at the open of this video. Some people never feel passion for anything. You motivate me to enjoy life. All the best to Leo. He has matured in a short time. Have a great week everyone.

      @@NicksGarage hi Nick
I like the patina on this car!
I would just build it solid. Make sure it was set up nice. Interior and underneath the car with modern components. disc brakes. put a four speed in it and a sure grip. I'd keep that body just the way it looks except with whatever body repairs that are necessary of course.
In fact you know what I would put on the rear quarter? A decal of a "can of worms."

Sir, I would happily come and learn from you. My father taught me from 8 years old. Been to several schools. Two outstanding student achievement awards. Solid 4.0 perfect attendance, student Tudor, Eagle tech, earned student of the month. I’m 42, retired military, and a huge fan of what you and your guys do. Have built quite a few cars and trucks like my father and grandfather had. I remember an early ‘70s Chrysler New Yorker 440 power everything grandpa let me drive in town at 13years old.

There's no one better at charger body panel installation than Chris Birdsong. He has a UA-cam channel so that is his resume. It would be worth shipping it to him to do the body for you and we could follow along with him too. Would be a awesome collaboration between the two channels.

I grew up in S. Texas and if a car lived very close to the Gulfcoast(Houston, Corpus Christi, Galveston, etc.) the humidity and salt air would rot 'em out like you parked it in a salt mine. I remember going to look at a 70 454 Chevelle w a friend back in High School, car was 11 years old w 60,000 miles or something and the front edge of the roof was almost completely seperated along the top of the windshield and the rockers were just open sores. The craziest part was the holes rusted in the valve covers and timing cover. Genuine Texas Survivor!

Front and rear floors, rear quarters, trunk floor, rear valance, cross frame, corners, trunk extensions, rear frame rails, trans cross member, passenger side front rail. Been a journey but l finally have her done and painted Petty Blue and she sure looks good now and runs great. Took two years from start to finish now to drive the wheels off of her.

    Giasou Nikola,
You remind me my 84 year old father. He had the radiator repair shop until cheap Chinese Imports killed the market. Now he gets around in his 1 ton Mitsubishi an collecting scrap metal. He has the garage @ hot all set up do he can take everything apart to make the most money out of scrap.
    Recently he collected & dismantled
4 industrial size mig welders. Took over 2 weeks to dismantled them but he did to get every kilo of copper out of it.
Recently the van did an engine due to my dad overloading the van.
Until the van is repaired he is stuck at home arguing with my mum.
He said the same thing as you.
" He will collect scrap until the day he dies" that's all he knows & the old c saying " If you stop moving you die quicker ".
Sad that Leo is going. I tell you what if I was 25 years younger I would pack my bags & come & work with you.
" BEST OF LUCK LEO, DON'T BECOME A STRANGER DROP IN FROM TIME TO TIME".
Back to the 1970 Charger, I have already christened her " Black Betty ".
We know what is installed for the next 2 & abit years.
Never a dull moment on Nick's Garage.
Your number 1 Fan in Australia

Leo seems like an awesome kid. Best of luck to him . Nick it’s amazing how you interact with your employees. I’ve been a railroad worker in Massachusetts for 24 years and a muscle fan since high school. Owed a 72 442 455 M22 4spd in mid 80s also a dodge aspen R/T . Now have a 09 challenger T/A tribute and a 16 charger. What you have in your shop with the guys is a dying breed down her in the states. In the 90s railroading was a close nit fellowship. Not today a lot has changed. I enjoy your utube show so much. Someday would love take a ride up to Laval and meet you and your team. Thanks for a great show and all I have learned watching you and the team. Again best of luck Leo.

Hello Nick you talked about retiring ,I remember when my father retired from 35 years of working for the same man , I think it lasted about a week then he went into the garage and started working again but this time for himself .When i asked him what he was doing he told me something I will never forget , When you do something you love it's not really a job . I most like what you said about passing on the things you know to the younger generation it is something i do also with younger people and have found that women have a real passion for learning new things that they are interested in .good luck with that 70 r/t i will be watching how that comes along . I hope Leo does well at his new job. My first job out of the Army was working at a Used car dealer. Lots of challenges fixing things as the owner didn't want to put alot of money in cars he was trying to sell. My next job was for a Chevrolet Dealership. They helped me get ASE certified. They sent me to GM school to learn more about repairing cars. I left there for a Mercedes Benz Dealership and worked there for a while until I got another calling that paid better with better benefits. Every time you leave a job that wasn't bad, you miss the people you worked with but also look forward to learning more and meeting new people and challenges. I hope Nick finds another worker to fill the spot left by Leo.

Ty Nick for passing your knowledge down to the youngsters. I was doing that in the construction biz for 25 years. Then Bush opened the gates for cheap labor. Put me and all my high school buds outta biz. So I drove a truck for 14 years. Ty for all you do.

as Nick opens the door straight over the fender of the Uhaul, i get nervous because all my smaller cars barely even clear the wheels of the UHaul, we have to use the rather fantastic tilt fender feature and sometimes its still very close lol. the Charger sits a lot higher than my cars! What an absolute beauty, though!

Keep at it Nick. You guys do great work.
Six months after my late father left me his 69 340 barracuda fastback, I wrote it off getting t-boned in a freak traffic accident. Heartbreaking to destroy my father's beloved car.
I bought the wreck back from the insurance company, and since then found an identical 'roller' to replace the body. I've now been staring at it for 6 years and just haven't known where to start such a big project. I think starting is the hardest part.
I admire how you mentioned 'attacking' a project. This spring I'm going to try attacking mine.
    Cheers.

In watching you do these Cars it gives me the "Drive" to do the same....

Just please don't ever let or allow anything to close that shop

This is my dream car, since I was a little boy I've always wanted the 1970 charger RT. To this day this beauty makes me so damn happy to see. I know I'll probably never be able to afford one fully restored cause God damn they are so expensive. So my dream is to find a barn find one for a decent price and fix it up and restore it myself. I know it'll still be expensive but less expensive than paying the fully restored price and at least I'd get to drive it while I'm restoring it and fall in love with it for years to come!

Nick, like no love your channel on U tube. You certainly have a wealth of automotive knowledge! At the age of 72 I look back at what I did as a younger person on many an older model car and then I look at how things have changed...wow its like light years different. No setting timing, no dwell, no jet changes. The only difference between you and I is I was a GM & Ford lover especially Chevrolet. Back in high school I drove a 1956 Vette with the original 265 and 3 speed. At one time I had at lease one of every cubic inch motor that Chevrolet ever produced from the 265 to the 454 but I will always love the old 409 Wished I had it all today. Oh BTW my wife is of Greek ancestry, born and raised in Pensacola's Greek Community. Her paternal grandfather was Vassilios Adamopoulos which they shortened to Adams her paternal grandmother was Anastasia Kosmas. He was from Katsarou Messenias Greece and she was from Nision, Kalamata, Greece.
I've been to many a Greek gathering and even a Greek wedding which lasted a long time.
    Thanks for your videos...Tony

I believe there are plenty of young men anxious to be the next apprentice under Professor Nick, so it’s just a matter of time, and I pray it won’t be long!!! Happy week to you all!!!
