Nick has waited a long time for this special day in a very special build. Today, Eugene's Charger 500 is coming back from the body shop with a fresh coat of shiny yellow paint. Now it is up to Nick to complete the restoration, and get this dream car delivered.

3 things to be wary off when around FINISHED items,
1: BELT BUCKLES
2: coat, vest, jacket METAL ZIPPERS
3: Levi's jeans, rivets
Yes it is very important to pay attention to its details but the most important in my opinion is to prevent visitors from touching the car!!!
To me, Nick this is one you should be very proud of.

I BELEIVE this car needs to go on the car show tour circuit.
That 500 is a real gem and the yellow/black/hemi orange combination is going to be off the charts beautiful! Eugene will turn heads twice, first from the sound of the"beastly" 440 and second the beautiful color and straight lines of a Charger 500. He is one lucky dude.
Eugene's car is somewhat of a celebrity, and it's not even finished yet. Awesome, cannot wait to see it being assembled.

Nick came to pick up the 500 on December 22
The Bodyshop is on a level we rarely see. They took the time to assemble all the exterior body panels, bumpers, grill, stripes, masking, etc to avoid fitment problems that might have damaged the body and paint on final assembly ..Bravo! . Dodge should have reproduced the 1968 -70 Charger as a body in white for the aftermarket car community. It is one of the most beautiful American cars ever manufactured. I would put it in the same category as the 1968 Jaguar XKE. Both cars were light-years away from other cars of that time period.
Thank you I appreciate it, it is exactly for this reason that we have assembled as many parts as possible on the body to remove the risk of damaging the paintwork

It's amazing how that color {Y2 yellow} changes hues depending on the light, sometimes it looks almost lime & other times a flat yellow pastel color. It's a great muscle car color

From the Space Coast of Florida: Neat history, In 969 I was a young salesman for Wheaton Dodge in Wheaton Maryland. I drove an "XX29 model code" Charger 500 as a demo for a year. Turbine Bronze w/White interior, 426 Hemi, 727 auto trans. My son came home from Hole Cross Hospital where he was born in this car. I sole it just before I left the Dealership. I've always wonder what happened to that sweet ride (Lots of stories and memories). Just saying FYI!

Hi Donna, I have actually have owned the 500 since it was new, 6/12/1969 is when I saw her for the first time. Nick was the only person I considered for the restoration, and I made an excellent choice. My friend in Australia calls her Esmeralda. Someone else has called her Jeannie, because you blink your eyes and she is gone. I don't have a name for her yet.
You know, I haven't watched the channel for ages and thought "I wonder how the Charger 500 project went..." and I tune in today and you picked it up yesterday!!!
The still at the beginning is perfect! The way that light turns the area yellow is spot on! Absolutely beautiful car!
