I follow some channels, but I think yours is my favourite one. You have a special talent for explaining, you are able to simplify everything that can seem a bit difficult for beginners like me and make it understandable and affordable. Your explanations are always so clear and exhaustive. Thanks!
Another gem. But as a 60 year old beginner (I really still struggle with hand independence). But will persevere, the rewards are worth it. Thanks again.
My right hand gets a pretty good workout in the mornings anyways but I've been doing this routine with my left! It's a little different to what I'm accustomed to but it works fine
love these lessons, about six months into my learning, bought myself a decent digital piano, what do you think of the Yamaha P-125, it feels fairly realistic to me. will this be OK till i get a bit more advanced. thanks for taking the time for making these videos....
I think it's a good choice. I made the mistake of buying a non-weighted Casio and tried for a couple weeks. But I bought it from a real brick and mortar store, and ordered my books from them also. When I saw the importance of dynamics, I went back and they took the Casio back and I bought a Yamaha P - 145. Bonne chance pour ta chemin.
I have to say it, I start doing the random power chords and it always ends up as the intro to Jessies Girl by Rick Springfield. Baba dum, love your style
Grest video I love the melodies. I've been struggling for a long time with hand independence. I do some practice exercices, though not consistently as I don't own a piano. But it seems no matter how much i practice, I can never play my left hand independently of my right hand without messing up both. I can't split the two, though I know that is central to the piano. How can I overcome this hurdle?
Just started learning piano a few weeks ago and I really love your channel! I'm just curious, what is this video addon your using to display a virtual keyboard and staff above your real piano?
Josef, thank you so much for these videos, they are SO helpful and encouraging!! What song are you playing at 1:00? Or is it just some amazing improv!?
Exercice 4, for smooth transition, try C-G-C-G-C-G---C-G-C-G F-C-F-C-F-C---F-C-F-C-F A-E-A-E-A-E---A-E-A-E-A-E G-D-G-D-G-D---G-D-G-D-C-G At the end, with your thumb on C and index on low G to finish G Part with the same fingering of C Part for restart again.
Octaves are great. I use them all the time. Power chords can be used to add some more beef to the sound with the added 5th. or if you struggle with octaves and want something that sounds better than single notes. Its a good tool to have.
Just an idea but imagine yourself traveling to major cities and posting where you will be for a few days and have one or two hour sessions and get paid for the hour? I would sign up if you come to New York Metro area.. I think you can be a great inspiration even if it’s teaching basic chords for beginners to play something on the piano.. Think of the idea .. Bring t- shirts to sell! LOL
many many thank you for these, but i yet feel like left hand is kinda slow, specially the last 3 fingers (middle, pinky and the small one) is kind of very hard to control, specially when I'm practicing with above 260 or 280 bpm. the right hand is kind of okayish... this problem demotivates me often, any suggestions please?
Yes, use these for a while and see how you get on. Just getting the left hand active will improve control and coordination. The exact issue you described was something i covered in the orginal morning routines vid here - ua-cam.com/video/o4FhUkHKWts/v-deo.html Just alter them for the left.
@@Creativepianoacademy woah! i feel happy you replied! thanks, and I'll definitely try those out too and let you know❤️ is there any email address by which i can contact with you?

C-G-C-G-C-G---C-G-C-G
F-C-F-C-F-C---F-C-F-C-F
A-E-A-E-A-E---A-E-A-E-A-E

At the end, with your thumb on C and index on low G to finish G Part with the same fingering of C Part for restart again.

Creative Piano Academy thanks for the tip. As a guitar player, I use power chords all the time, I never realised there was a piano equivalent :)
Music Islife - Power chords are used quite a bit when comping as a member of a band.

I'd learn quicker if i actually bought a keyboard.
Yup. A keyboard is pretty essential :) Look up my vid '3 rhythm exercises you will love to hate' for some core skill work. No keyboard required.

very useful but ,,,a little boring ,,suggestion ,,make videos shorter,,,and show things only ONCE !!
Not boring, video length is fine and showing things twice helps. Not our fault you have such a short attention span
Perhaps you are too advanced for this. Many people are quite new to piano, and love repetition.
