When MCR first started out, the band rehearsed at his grandmother's home... Just one of many reasons why his grandmother was so important to him.
"I'm Not Okay" is a bop. The video is pretty dang fun, too. I'd suggest that one next, though all of their videos are worth checking out.

This song makes me sob uncontrollably for a few reasons, especially today. Today is the four year anniversary of my brother's ex girlfriends death. They had a child together and never married, but I still considered my sister in law. Her name just so happened to be Helena. When I heard this song a couple of weeks after I found out she was dead, I had to stop half way through the song and cry until I fell asleep. Every year on this day I listen to this song, and take a couple minutes to think about the good times we had. I love this song so much, but anytime I hear it I cry.
I like the fact that most of his "heavy metal" reactions are actually music from just straight up late 90s or early 2000s, brings back so many good memories

While I can't imagine someone not being familiar with MCR as they have been my favorite band since my spooky emo kid days, I love seeing the joy of someone discovering them for the first time. Many of their songs still give me chills after all these years. I highly recommend checking out their songs "Cancer" and "I Don't Love You."

This is definitely one of my fave songs by them.
Those are exactly the feelings that I felt when my mother passed away, especially why I could not be with her in her last moments on this earthly plane.
But there is another song that makes me see that event in a more obtimistic way. That song is Rose Of Sharyn from the band killswitch Engage, if you are not reacting to that song I recommend it 100%

When I heard this song I was 14 years old and it was my first from them, I didn't understand the lyrics but I know that it make me cry and also so exited. I remember that I was so fascinated with the whole scenario and his voice and the goups, that I was a fan inmediatly the song ended and to this day they are my favorite.

This song will always hold a special place in my heart. Because like Gerard i lost my grandmother and i wasn't there for the last year of her life and i didn't get to say goodbye and tell her just how much i loved her and how thankful i was for her. She raised me and she was also there for her great grandson my son when i was going through so much she was there and sometimes i didn't treat her as good as i should have when i was younger and i never got to apologize for that. And just tell her i loved her dearly and how much she meant to me. It's the same with in this moment song The Light i cry everytime i hear it cuz it makes me think of her. You should react to I'm not ok (i promise) by MCR great song great band over all. They have so many great songs I'll put a few more on this list when i think of a few more you would enjoy.
